The first time I went in 2022, I remember it being more of a traditional steakhouse. The Ave has grown significantly around it over the years, but it's still one of the staple restaurants in a central location. Overall, it was great meal with good service and nice atmosphere. It's sill one of the gems. We started with the wedge salad and cheesy bread. We wanted to get the Filet Mignon and the Prime Cut Ribeye to share them, but they were out of the Filet which was a bit surprising. Instead, we got the Crispy Chicken Piccata. They were both excellent. The fingerlings and asparagus were good and loved the red wine sauce. The crispy chicken was not too heavy, with lemon and an ample arugula salad. I don't remember the name of desert, but it was a combo of a browny with an Oreo cookie layer (which the kid in me couldn't refuse) with a scoop vanilla ice cream. It was great.

Unfortunately, on our visit we were impacted by some WiFi issues when splitting the check and had to wait a long time for our checks to come back to us. Which is expected with a large group, but we waited over an hour after we had finished eating to close out. Not to mention while waiting on our checks for this amount of time the fire alarm had gone off and there was not much communicated about what was going on and no one really said anything other than "we don't know what's going on either". Which is kind of scary. I understand that some do these things are circumstantial but when things like this happen at a nicer place, I usually expect to be greeted and informed by the manager.
