We came to celebrate a birthday for a close friend and the food did not disappoint. It was surprisingly empty for a Saturday. Not many tables were occupied. Though we were a group of 7, we waited at the bar for the entire party to arrive. The bartender who originally served us was very friendly and attentive but disappeared midway. We ordered a margarita and an old fashioned. The margarita was ok, nothing great about it and the old fashioned was pretty good. At one point we wanted to order something else, but the remaining bartender then left the bar. Once he returned, we ordered a glass of Pinot noir. After we closed the tab and went to our table did I realize there were Pinot noir options but we were charged for the higher one. There wasn't even a question of which one we preferred. I wasn't entirely pleased with that as there was a $6 difference in the price of wines, which is significant for 1 glass. Once seated for dinner, we were given baskets of bread and ordered the crab cake, Caesar salad and fresh mozzarella and beefsteak tomatoes (although it was one piece of tomato), as the appetizers. The Caesar salad was really good as was the mozzarella and tomatoes. The mozzarella and tomato were tried by someone at the table who normal wouldn't order that and she really enjoyed. My only contention would be the portion size. For the price, I thought one slice of mozzarella and one slice of tomato was pretty small. The crab cake did not taste fresh but tasted more like a frozen crab cake. For the entrees we ordered the Porterhouse for two, Chicken Parmesan with vodka sauce, Lobster Ravioli, Shrimp Scampi and the Wagyu Bolognese. The Porterhouse was cooked pretty well but a little over than what was asked for. It did need a little more seasoning but overall it wasn't a bad choice. The Chicken Parmesan with vodka sauce was a really large portion, definitely good for two or more people, but I found it odd that it did not come with a side of pasta. That had to be ordered and it was not on the menu. The pasta portion was extremely small in comparison to the chicken, with no seasoning or spices. The tiny side of pasta was shockingly $21.95 for a baby's portion. The Lobster Ravoli surprisingly did not have any lobster in the actual ravioli but just had some pieces of lobster on the plate. Also, the sauce needed a bit more flavor. The Shrimp Scampi was good but the lemon flavor was a bit too heavy and overpowering for the dish. The Wagyu Bolognese was really enjoyed. I think it was seasoned and cooked wonderfully. The portion was a good size, enough for lunch the next day. This may have been the better of the other entrees. For the dessert we received complementary dessert platters to celebrate the birthday with a chocolate mousse, cheesecake and fruits including grapes and pineapples. The chocolate mousse was great as were the pineapples. I don't think anyone tried the cheesecake. Our server was Granit, or the "Rock" as he referred to himself. He was very friendly but often left the table pretty quickly before we had the opportunity to finish asking questions. There was a nice vibe in the restaurant. Nice for a date night or family dinner. The bathrooms were super clean which was appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our time at the dinner but I'm unsure if we would return. read more

The best way to beat the Monday blues? Lunch at Rocco's Steakhouse with friends. We started by sharing oysters Rockefeller, a fresh chopped salad, and shrimp -- the perfect way to ease into a proper steakhouse feast. For the main event, we split a sizzling T-bone steak for two... which honestly could have fed four. Alongside it were crispy French fries and rich, creamy spinach -- classic sides done right. By the end, all table manners disappeared as my friend picked up the bone and cleaned off every last bite. No judgment -- that's when you know it's good. Dessert was made for sharing too: espresso, fresh fruit, carrot cake, and cheesecake. Sharing really is caring -- especially at lunch. I absolutely love Rocco's atmosphere. The seats are incredibly comfortable, the staff is attentive, and Pete, the owner, always makes everyone feel genuinely welcome. The service was phenomenal. I was seated promptly (I had a reservation). I had come alone to treat myself and I did not feel alone in the slightest haha. The staff was very kind and attentative. Great classic old school steakhouse with a twist of modern decor. It was dark and cozy with super comfortable seats. We already had dinner at the bad tapas place so we came for a steak for me and dessert for my wife. We started with a few stiff cocktails and my wife had a very tasty key lime pie. My NY strip was perfectly cooked and had a perfect crust coming out of the 1000 degree broiler. No sides needed because it was all about the meat. In 2022 we visited the original Rocco's Steakhouse and swore we would return. We had no idea they opened a second location but Uber dropped us off. I knew immediately it was not the same place but I simply thought, maybe they moved. Immediately greeted by the bartender. Friendly and a great smile --- very welcoming. Turns out his Uncle is who served us at the original Rocco's. We shared our story, ordered a bottle of wine and the conversation began. He was so helpful and accommodating. The space was open and lighting perfect. A couple tv's showing both football and the Yankee game. After some time, I ordered the chopped salad. Drizzled with a light vinaigrette, it is enough to share. All dishes are shareable I might add. We then ordered a baked potato and the ribeye. The steak was cut for us to share and even at that, I left it to my husband to finish it. Dinner was fantastic, just as we remembered. They surprised us with dessert which topped off the whole meal. This steakhouse is very pretty. When you walk in there is a bar area with some high top tables and some tvs. You can sit here while waiting for your party to arrive or have a drink here too. The main dinning room is in the back. It's a good size not too big and not too small. It does get a bit loud in here though. I came here for Thanksgiving so I of course ordered theTurkey dinner. We were allowed to order off the regular menu. I had a piece of the bacon and it was ok. I got a side of broccoli which was very good. The Turkey was a bit on the dry side. But it was ok. I am not a big fan of pumpkin pie but it came with the meal. We had to order an appetizer with this menu so I ordered the Rocco salad. Looked beautiful. I had a little bite of it. Not sure if or what kind of dressing was on it had a little flavor to it that ai just did not like. But everyone else who had it enjoyed it. For a drink I had an espresso martini. It came out beautiful but, once again the taste to me just was not there. I don't know if it is the kind of espresso they use or what. The staff here are very nice and accommodating. One last thing about the bathroom I think one of the stalls in the ladies room does not lock so just be aware. Unless, I did not see where the lock was for one of the two stalls. The seafood tower was outstanding, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every side dish was incredible, especially the creamed spinach, lobster mac & cheese, and German potatoes. The baked clams were some of the best I've ever had! The drinks were excellent--bartender Eldin really knows his craft. This was my first time at the midtown location although I had eaten at their other location several times . When you walk through the door the smell of steak cooking will get your mouth watering before you even sit down. Service was excellent . Steaks were delicious, nice wine list , they comped us desert . Overall it was great . I ordered my steak medium rare - probably should have gone medium for my taste but that's on me . The three-course pre-fix lunch for $49.95 is a great deal. I ordered the smoked salmon, prime sirloin, and chocolate mousse cake. My wife ordered the steak tartare, petite filet au poivre, and key lime pie. The steaks were impeccable in texture and doneness, of such high quality that they could be enjoyed simply with salt and their own juices. Even at famous restaurants, steaks served as part of a prix fixe lunch are often rushed and disappointing, but here, the steaks are authentic and high quality. We were also impressed by the appetizers. They were satisfying enough to enjoy on their own, and the portions were generous. The desserts were standard, nothing special, but still delicious. I enjoyed the cream on the side, too. The staff was friendly. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was good. I definitely want to visit again and highly recommend it. read more

Absolutely unacceptable. This place has the nerve to call itself a high-end steakhouse while delivering fast-food-level service. We waited almost an hour for our food with no explanation, no apology, and staff who clearly didn't care. The cherry on top? They force a 20% tip, which makes it painfully obvious why the service is so bad -- they already get paid no matter how poorly they treat you. If you're going to mandate a gratuity, the service should be flawless, not lazy and dismissive. Overpriced, poorly run, and disrespectful to customers' time. I began with a Crab Cake($8 supplement). It was good, not great. I ordered a Petite Filet as my entre. It was also good not great. The two accompanying sides of Spinach and Mashed Potato's were good. I finished with Carrot Cake. It was not spectacular. I would consider the lunch pre fixe a bargain for overeaters. Absolutely glorious from moment of entry to moment of departure. I was here this evening for a private dinner hosted by a very prominent individual and everything fit just perfectly. Menu choices were plentiful and cuisine was sumptuous. Staff, especially "Tommy G" was superb, service was impeccable, hosts were magnificent; I even asked if I could Zelle someone two dollars in exchange for cash to tip the parking lot attendant and the manager/partner handed me a five dollar bill and insisted I keep it, no Zelle required. Ambience is warm, cozy, inviting and elegant but not at all pretentious. This location is only open a little over a year and I had never heard of it but it far exceeded expectations by a landslide. I wanted to give it twenty-one stars but Yelp only allows up to five so consider this a very "high five." An absolute must for any aficionado of steakhouses, though the seafood was incredible!
