From the moment we walked into Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, we knew we were in for a special evening. The hostess greeted us with such warmth and kindness, making us feel genuinely welcomed. She noticed we were celebrating my wife's birthday and made the occasion feel even more special. Being seated by the window was the perfect touch and created a wonderful atmosphere for the evening. Our server, Gabriel, elevated the entire experience to another level. From the moment he introduced himself, his professionalism, knowledge, and genuine personality stood out. He recommended cocktails that were absolutely fantastic and guided us through the menu with confidence and enthusiasm. We started with the Beef Carpaccio, which was exceptional. The delicate beef paired beautifully with the fresh arugula and flavorful mustard sauce, creating a perfect balance of flavors. For our entrées, my wife ordered the 12-ounce Filet Mignon, and it was cooked to absolute perfection-tender, juicy, and packed with incredible flavor. I had a difficult time deciding which steak to order, but Gabriel took the time to explain each cut in a way that made choosing easy. Based on his recommendation, I selected the Ribeye, and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, beautifully marbled, and bursting with flavor. As outstanding as the food was, what truly made the evening unforgettable was the connection Gabriel created with us. Exceptional service isn't just about taking orders-it's about making guests feel valued, and Gabriel mastered that. Nowadays, it's rare to find a restaurant that delivers a flawless experience from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, but Del Frisco's accomplished exactly that. Thank you to everyone at Del Frisco's for making my wife's birthday dinner so memorable, and a special thank you to Gabriel for providing world-class service. We will definitely be returning, and without question, we'll be requesting Gabriel again. My wifey and I came by during the beginning of December on a last minute trip and this restaurant was on our list because of their "$25 girl dinner" that basically consisted of a salad, pasta, fries, and a drink..if you got protein, it cost a little more. Anyway, we waited around for a little while by the bar and quickly sat at a table as soon as it opened up. Our server was fantastic and the meal was good..it filled me up! We actually met another woman at the restaurant who was there with her mom having the same thing as us..we became friends and are still in contact! I would recommend this place to everyone especially the girls for the $25 girl dinner when they offer it!

We came to this location this afternoon after previously dining at their Philadelphia location, where we were extremely impressed, so we were excited to visit this one. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a lovely lady whose name I unfortunately didn't get. We were seated immediately at a beautiful booth that was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was also spotless and very well maintained, which is always a nice reflection of how much a restaurant cares about the details. We ordered a cocktail called the VIP. Our server, Erik, knew we were planning to share it, and he thoughtfully had the drink served in two separate glasses. Such a small gesture, but it showed just how attentive he was to our needs. The cocktail was refreshing and delicious. The hospitality was truly exceptional. Omar, the Assistant General Manager, checked on us throughout the meal and made sure everything was perfect. Erik was equally wonderful--extremely attentive, welcoming, and professional. He made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the entire meal. The New York City Restaurant Week menu was still being offered, so we each chose three courses. I started with the crab cake, followed by the Pan Roasted Arka salmon, and finished with cheesecake for dessert. Hubby had the wagyu meatballs, filet mignon, and butter cake. We also added the tuna tartare as an appetizer and creamed spinach as a side. Every dish was outstanding. Everything was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We left extremely happy and satisfied. It was another wonderful dining experience, and we'll definitely be back again!

A Birthday Dinner That Felt Like a Scene From a New York Movie We chose Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse for my birthday dinner because we wanted something special--not just a good meal, but a real New York moment. And the moment we walked in, I thought, yes... this is exactly where a birthday should happen. The restaurant is absolutely stunning. The high ceilings, dramatic staircase, rich wood, elegant details, and huge dining room made everything feel grand and glamorous. It had the classic energy of an American steakhouse, but with a modern and luxurious New York style. Then I noticed the enormous floor-to-ceiling windows. Honestly, the glass was so perfectly clean that I almost forgot there was glass there at all. For a second, it felt like the entire city was simply open in front of us. I was strangely impressed by this because giant windows in a busy city are not always this spotless. But here, they were crystal clear, and the New York view became part of our dinner. We sat looking out at the city, ordered wine, and began my birthday celebration. Then, as if someone had carefully planned the scene, a sudden rain shower started outside. Perfect timing. There we were, sitting inside this beautiful restaurant, watching the rain fall over New York through the giant windows, drinking delicious wine, eating incredible food, and celebrating my birthday with my family. It felt less like dinner and more like a scene from a movie. The wine was wonderful, and every dish we ordered was delicious. The oysters were fresh and clean-tasting. The burrata was creamy, soft, and beautiful with the tomatoes. The warm bread arrived shiny with butter and was dangerously good--the kind of bread that makes you say, "I'm only having one," and then suddenly the basket is empty. The fish entrée was beautifully prepared, and the steak was exactly what I hoped for. It had a deeply seared, flavorful crust on the outside while staying tender and juicy inside. This was not the kind of steak you quietly eat. This was the kind of steak that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a moment. That silence was the review. Everything tasted carefully prepared, and the ingredients felt fresh and high quality. There was not one disappointing dish on the table. At the end of dinner, they brought out a lovely birthday dessert with strawberries, pink cream, a candle, and a "Happy Birthday" chocolate decoration. It was sweet, pretty, and the perfect ending to the evening. The beautiful interior, the sparkling wine, the city view, the sudden rain, the excellent food, and my family celebrating together made the entire night unforgettable. I went there expecting a nice birthday dinner. Instead, I received a full New York birthday movie scene--with steak. I would absolutely return the next time I visit New York. Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse is a wonderful choice for a birthday, anniversary, romantic dinner, or any occasion when an ordinary meal simply is not enough.

We celebrated our friend's birthday here. The place is amazing in the heart of NYC. Food, service and Ambiance: everything is great. We love our porterhouse, side dishes: asparagus, corn and shrimp. Yummicilious They mistakenly put Oscar style sauce on our porterhouse instead of friend's filet mignon. Immediately apologized and served the sauce to my friend at the side. One of the good steak houses in NYC

Just had a birthday lunch with my 18 year old daughter. The wedge salad is her favorite. We also got the wagyu burger... it exploded with salty meat juices, but only when you bit it! AMAZING!

Filet mignon medium rare+, sautéed mushrooms, and truffle fries, all enjoyed on a heated plate. Perfection.

I've been coming to Del Frisco's in New York for years, and at this point, it has become a true tradition. Dinner here before a Broadway show is one of my favorite New York experiences, and it never disappoints. The food, the atmosphere, and the service are always excellent, but somehow I had never felt compelled to write a review until this visit. This time, we were lucky enough to have Danny take care of us, and he truly made the night exceptional. We asked for a wine recommendation in addition to the Del Frisco's Napa Valley Cabernet, and he suggested an Argentinian Malbec that we absolutely loved. It was the perfect choice. We also mentioned that we were on a tight schedule before our show, and he handled it flawlessly. Everything was paced perfectly, we never felt rushed, and he made sure we were out right on time. What really stood out was Danny's energy. He was warm, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely made the entire dinner feel special. It is rare to have someone make such a strong impression, but he absolutely did. We will be requesting him every single time we come back. If you are lucky enough to have Danny as your server, you are in the best hands.

Absolute perfection! This is one of the better steakhouses I've been to in a while. Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse blew me away from start to finish. The atmosphere is classic upscale elegance with that perfect Midtown energy, high ceilings, great views, and impeccable service from the moment we walked in. My date and I kicked things off with some incredible appetizers that set the tone for the night. The Thick-Cut Nueske's Bacon was smoky, perfectly glazed with that bourbon molasses kick. The Del's Jumbo Lump Crab Cake was pure heaven, loaded with sweet crab meat and that rich Cajun-lobster cream sauce. And the Wagyu Meatballs? Tender, flavorful, with the tomato fondue and shaved Manchego making every bite melt-in-your-mouth delicious. For our main courses, my date ordered a porterhouse and I the surf and turf trio. I requested medium well for the surf and turf and rare for the porterhouse. Porterhouse came out perfect as per my date! You could practically see the blood still dripping. It was massive, beautifully charred on the outside, juicy and perfectly cooked. It had that rich, beefy flavor that only prime cuts deliver. (In his words) The surf and turf came in a little bit undercooked but our waiter Jesse immediately took it back in and had them cook it more to my liking. It came out great on the second try! We couldn't get enough of the delicious complimentary bread. It was warm, fresh, with that honey butter or whatever magic they put on it. We finished the whole basket and would have asked for more if we weren't already stuffed. Service was attentive without being overbearing, The manager Cesare came by to check on us from time to time without being overbearing to make sure we were enjoying our meal. He was a very nice man. Give him a raise! The whole vibe felt special and celebratory. Which is perfect since we came on Valentines Day. What a memorable night. If you're craving an elevated steakhouse meal in NYC, this is the place. 5 stars all the way. Be sure to book ahead before you come. They get very busy and I understand why!

Came here around 4pm before going to an event. Had the Caesar. The waiter got the filet on top which was the lunch menu. I really appreciated it and the steak melted in my mouth. My friend got chicken on the Caesar. Sat upstairs and loved it. Service great.

We celebrated our anniversary at Del Frisco's and had a really great experience overall. The atmosphere felt upscale but still comfortable, which made it perfect for a special occasion without feeling overly formal. The service stood out right away--attentive, knowledgeable, and well-paced throughout the evening. We never felt rushed, and everything came out at the right time, which made the night feel relaxed and enjoyable. The steaks were cooked exactly how we ordered them--tender, flavorful, and high quality. All of the food had great flavor, and the sides were just as good and easy to share. The only reason this isn't a full 5 stars is that a few small details could have been just a bit tighter. But nothing that took away from the overall experience. Overall, it was a memorable anniversary dinner, and when in Times Square I would definitely visit again.

I love Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse I've done both indoor and outdoor dining here and both experiences were great. I'm a big fan of their crab cakes they are always cooked perfectly and you can never go wrong with the tomahawk steak especially paired with a glass of red wine. For sides I usually get the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes they are creamy and soft I love it and this time I had tried the crispy rice with Ahi Tuna, Hamachi, Wasabi Aioli .The ambiance feels intimatemaking it a nice spot for date night or just treating yourself to a great dinner. Service is 10/10 the servers are always attentive and make sure everything is taken care of. There's street parking nearby with metered spots, and overall you really get your money's worth here.

This is a tough review to write. We came for dinner last night after watching a show. The staff was spectacular. Everyone from the hostess to our server was amazing and attentive. The espresso martini was excellent. We shared the bone in ribeye and the mashed potatoes and both were a little lackluster. I think it was because they were both really heavy on the pepper which isn't really our favorite. The steak was cooked to perfection though and had a nice char. I'd recommend if you are into pepper forward steaks.

Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse

So what is difference between the Double Eagle and the Del Frisco Grille? Besides the name of course.

The Double Eagle is a much more upscale experience with prices and dress code to match. Think steaks starting at $60 and up. The Grille feels more like an upscale chain you might find at a mall/shopping center such as Houstons, Hillstone, Seasons…

May I have a reservation this evening, Monday June 17, around 7PM, for two people? Thank you…

Hello G, our Yelp team is unable to assist with reservations. Please visit https://www.delfriscos.com/location/del-friscos-double-eagle-steakhouse-new-york-ny/ to make a reservation.

Where is the best place to park, coming in mid April?

I don't recommend driving in NYC. Take the subway and walk the rest. Subway has apple pay and easy to navigate. I promise you that is the way to go. I was there last October. Also ask the restaurant if they still have construction going on. When I…

Do they allow dogs in the outdoor section? I'm going on a trip to nyc and taking my miniature dachshund and I don't like to leave him alone at the hotel. Very well behaved!

Hello Rachel, only service dogs are allowed at our establishment. Thank you.

How much would a dinner for two be?

Budget $300 if you want to have an enjoyable meal. But you can totally knock out a meal for less than $150.00 for two. Get two appetizer and share a steak.

    Bar/counter dining if going solo?

They have two bar areas: downstairs and upstairs. I saw people sitting downstairs

Are they offering outdoor dining now?

Have they stopped serving the delicious onion rings?

Do they offer non dairy options, like can they cook the steaks without butter?

Yes I asked for no butter myself when I was there!! Service here is great!

Is the outdoor seating heated well during the winter months?

    not sure.

Can you eat at the bar?

    yes

Is business lunch only during weekdays?

Probably Yes. But call them to be certain.

Where is the best seat in the house?

My Answer would have to be anywhere right by the window. 🤗 Amazing feeling to have some amazing food while looking out at New York .

    What is the Best cocktail?

It depends on your taste. The wine list is really elaborate. There is a sommelier watching when a customer asks for a wine list / BOOK. He came over right a way to help me find a decent Amarone that would not break the bank. Both the sommelier…

Do they have a kids menu?

No. Not really a place for kids either, more upscale and geared towards adults.

Is there a fee for sharing an entree (Steak)?

Not that I am aware of but I doubt it I don't see why they would ask for a Fee.

Do they participate in restaurant week?

Yes we went yesterday it was a fabulous menu including Lobster bisque and salmon on top of fresh green beans with an Alaskan king crab truffle butter as an enhancement to my…

Pricing on New Year's Eve 4-course prix fixe?

    200+pp

Is the long bone ribeye wagyu?

Not real Japanese Wagyu, but it was the best steak I ever had at any price.

    Are they open on holidays?

Probably depends on the holiday. Best to just call them and ask I think.

A bit too loud to talk to each other. There is plenty of seating in the waiting area and seating by the bar to order something while you wait. Décor was stylish. Service (5/5): Carolina was the sweetest server on a weeknight evening. She ran down the menu in a helpful way by telling by setting expectations for dish sizes. She checked in regularly. Food (4/5): The food was good, but nothing stood out, especially for the price point. Chicken wontons (3/5): Nothing to right home about Potstickers (3/5): Nothing to right home about Vegetable lo mein (3/5): Nothing to right home about, sweet/salty sauce Philly spring rolls (4/5): Better than the others because it had some more flavor and was pretty unique Steak chimichurri (3/5): Sauce was good but they cooked a medium steak that it was tough to chew Filet mignon and broccoli (5/5): Wow this was hands down the best dish of the night. The pieces of meat were generous and SO SO tender! The sauce was cooked into the pieces of broccoli Bok choi (5/5): A nice exterior crunch with a forward garlic oil taste Fried rice (3/5): Nothing to right home about

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about Brooklyn Chop House, but honestly, I can't relate because…read moreevery time I've gone, I've had a good experience. I usually get the wonton soup with the jiaozi dumplings, and it's one of my favorite things on the menu. I haven't really seen that combination anywhere else, and I think it's really unique and really good. They also have a great happy hour. I'm not the biggest fan of the wings, but the shrimp and lobster roll is definitely worth trying. The service has always been good when I've visited, and the atmosphere is always a vibe. It's close to the Theater District, so it's a great spot to grab dinner before or after a show. There's usually a nice crowd, and you might even bump into an actor or celebrity. Overall, it's a place I keep coming back to because the food is consistently good, the service has been solid, and the overall experience is always enjoyable.

I sat at the bar, since it was only me, but tho the bar wasn't busy and service was friendly, it was very slow. The food was wonderful! I'm glad I made the choices I did, tho of course nothing I wanted was included in the happy hour specials. The fried calamari was some of the best I've had tho it was observed with a little bit of cocktail sauce and a huge thing of tartar sauce. I'm sure I could have gotten more cocktail sauce, since I don't like tartar sauce, but it wasn't necessary. The calamari was so good. The lobster bisque was delicious and the picture can't show you that it was full of lobster. There was a LOT more lobster than a lobster bisque normally contains and the price was about normal for a lobster bisque with one tiny piece of lobster. The iced tea was a bit out of control. If I'm going to be charged $5 per glass of iced tea, that glass should be larger than the ones they use AND not 90% ice. That much for a glass of ice with a splash of iced tea is extreme. I'd still return, since the food was wonderful and hopefully I just got unlucky with the service.

Keens proved me wrong. Our waitress Hope was lovely and gave us great recommendations. I started with the Jungle Bird, which was tropical, fun, and really good. For dinner I had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach--everything was solid. We also tried the famous mutton chop and the bacon, which was AMAZING. The menu is pretty straightforward, but what they do, they do well. Great option for a work dinner, date night, or a classic NYC steakhouse experience. Good food, great service, and tons of old New York character
