I enjoyed the lobster bisque it was the right level of richness, the crab cake was good but more like a crab salad. Bread was warm and fluffy and soft. An old fashioned was ordered, so I thought it was confusing that it came with a smoke presentation, only when I got the bill did I realize that was provided was the version that was more than double the cost the Añejo Old Fashioned, which was disappointing and wished the waiter either brought the right version or asked for clarity. I got the short rib and I think that's where things started to take a turn. There were fatty pieces but most of all it was increasingly salty . I took it home and tried it the next day and still was just as salty. The filet according to my husband was perfectly cooked. Side dishes are always great at steakhouses, but the lobster Mac and cheese was underwhelming. It lacked that cheesy component especially when multiple cheeses are used and compared to most steakhouses was not great. Dessert we got the butter cake and the cheesecake. We both enjoyed the butter cake, it had a rich buttery caramel taste; the cheesecake was on the small side but also really had a fridge/freezer taste to it and tasted really generic. My wifey and I came by during the beginning of December on a last minute trip and this restaurant was on our list because of their "$25 girl dinner" that basically consisted of a salad, pasta, fries, and a drink..if you got protein, it cost a little more. Anyway, we waited around for a little while by the bar and quickly sat at a table as soon as it opened up. Our server was fantastic and the meal was good..it filled me up! We came to this location this afternoon after previously dining at their Philadelphia location, where we were extremely impressed, so we were excited to visit this one. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a lovely lady whose name I unfortunately didn't get. We were seated immediately at a beautiful booth that was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was also spotless and very well maintained, which is always a nice reflection of how much a restaurant cares about the details. We ordered a cocktail called the VIP. Our server, Erik, knew we were planning to share it, and he thoughtfully had the drink served in two separate glasses. Such a small gesture, but it showed just how attentive he was to our needs. The cocktail was refreshing and delicious. The hospitality was truly exceptional. Omar, the Assistant General Manager, checked on us throughout the meal and made sure everything was perfect. Erik was equally wonderful--extremely attentive, welcoming, and professional. He made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the entire meal. The New York City Restaurant Week menu was still being offered, so we each chose three courses. This is a tough review to write. We came for dinner last night after watching a show. The staff was spectacular. Everyone from the hostess to our server was amazing and attentive. The espresso martini was excellent. We shared the bone in ribeye and the mashed potatoes and both were a little lackluster. It was almost difficult to focus on the food because I was so mesmerized with the outdoor view. Definitely request an upstairs table with your must have reservation. My daughter who has not been was amazed with the space one had as a diner. I don't like touching elbows with folks ( have to learn to like it in this city) but not here. Plenty of room and the wonderful staff do not try to rush you out. She is already looking into having an event here due to everything we experienced. My main reason for coming is their crab cakes with lobster sauce. From the first time I had them, I was hooked. So hooked that i managed to wrangle the recipe from someone. (Not at this restaurant, but years ago) I am not above that. Second favorite is the sea bass with crab fried rice. Stellar every time. The rest of the party got the usual steaks and such. We all loved it. The sommelier was great although he just said, " great choice" with our decision because I have a Smartypants wino in the family. Chicken, fish, burgers, salad, soup... it's all good and plentiful. The restaurant also has a great view of 6th Avenue and all of the festivities going on outside, especially right now with the hustle and bustle of the holidays. It's right across from Radio City so it's the perfect place, before or after you see the Christmas show. I cant say enough about Del Frisco's. I've been to many of their locations across the country and this one is my #1. It never gets old. I took my husband here for his 30th birthday and was so very pleased with the experience. The restaurant was decorated spectacularly for Christmas. The table we were initially seated at was in a corner between another table and a wall which was so tight we could not fit, but the staff were quick to accommodate us upstairs at a different table! Beautiful space across from Radio City Music Hall. I was immediately seated and Peter was at my table asking about water. Expertly crafted martini to begin my experience. With Peter's guidance I settled on lobster bisque and a Waygu fillet. The soup was excellent and the cup was much larger than I've had in other restaurants. The service was lackluster. He never offered what Easter menu they had for the day or what wines would be best for the meal. The food was good , despite the fact that I wasn't given a 16oz NY strip cut of beef instead of the prime rib as requested. When I asked was there a mistake made I was told no. I know my steak and that wasn't prime rib. I was hungry so I ate it. My wife wasn't happy with her lamb chops and finished off my steak. I ate here the other day for a work lunch. We were put in a private room & the staff was amazing. There were about 12 of us & we ordered the bacon & meatballs (2 servings of each) as starters & it was plenty. For lunch I had the Caesar salad & steak & it was the perfect amount of food. We had just made it to town, were hungry, and didn't want to shop around for food. My wife and I dined here the last time we were in town and loved our meal. So, dining hear again was a no brainer.. Del Frisco's it is. Our second time didn't disappoint either We ordered steaks, cocktails, appetizers and wine. For the cocktails, she had the Passion Fruit Margarita, and I had the Whistle Pig Barrel Aged Manhattan. The cocktails were on point. Additionally, we both had a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon with our meal. For the appetizer we went with the Thick-Cut Nueske's Bacon and the Charred Octopus. The Bacon was excellent, smokey and delicious. The Octopus was disappointing. It was overcooked and chewy, so we had to send that one back. For our main courses, my wife ordered the Braised Angus Short Rib and was later informed that it was sold out, so she settled for the Filet Mignon, and I had the Bone-In Prime Ribeye. For our sides we had fries, broccolini and the Classic Caesar. Oh, and not to mention, that wonderful warm bread for the table. All of the meats were cooked to perfection, the sides were great, but on a side note... the side of fries was way more then we expected. I would say was enough for 5 people. The steak house itself has a nice sexy ambiance, but still chill enough for the fellas to grab a meal or hang at the bar. The service was great, our waiter M.D. was very professional and attentive. He was very apologetic for the mess up on the Short Rib order and the over cooked Octopus. Even the Supervisor, (Kristin), came over and checked on us to make sure we were good and chatted with us about the New York food scene. Thank you both for a good time. read more

Del Frisco's Double Eagle never disappoints. The food, service, and ambience are top notch. My favorite meal is actually an appetizer on the bar menu - filet mignon and lobster skewers. The flavor combo makes my tongue happy. The ribeye steak is always perfectly seasoned and seared. I also love a wedge salad, so my partner and I shared that. The baked potato was large enough to share as well. The slice of cheesecake was an unexpected birthday treat. The dining experience was well-executed. read more

0 stars- while visiting Manhattan with my two sons this weekend, part of our last minute impromptu trip to NY included dinner at Del Frisco's (my favorite spot in Manhattan) previously always included in my trips. Unfortunately this time, we were racially profiled and will never be back. I urge you to not give your business to this location. My 15 year old was dressed as 15 y/o do in shorts, a white plan tee shirt and sneakers, as was my 9 year old. The older one has more prominent curly hair. An Arabic host had an issue with the older child's clothing stating they had a dress code. After reviewing the dress code he met the criteria . However, this host consulted with a (blonde Karen )Maitre D who then allowed him to ask if we would like to be seated OUTSIDE. None of the tables outside were occupied or even set to include outdoor seating space! Also, 85 degrees. We said absolutely not and took our money to Capitol Grille, where we received amazing service and food. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. There are much better steakhouses surrounding this place, go elsewhere. read more

Came back with friends for a holiday dinner. We were here last year and there was an issue with our reservation, but this year there were no problems and we were sat 10 minutes early. We were a large party of 12 and they took great care of us. Everything is delicious. The 8 oz filet mignon is out of this world. Add the bearnaise sauce. Sides to make sure to get on are the Wagyu meatballs, heirloom tomato and burrata salad, lobster mac & cheese, creamed corn, château mashed potatoes, truffle french fries, potatoes au gratin (out of this world good), and the ginger scallion crispy rice with tuna. read more

The service at this establishment was nothing short of great, all of the food from the starters to drinks to entrées and even dessert were amazing. I highly recommend the lemon cake, the filet mignon, and the caviar. Very convenient location right in the heart of Manhattan close to our hotel and not crowded at all. The building has beautiful architecture. Our server was amazing and our table was always clean and our water was always full. 10/10 read more
