Came in on a Sunday around 11am as soon as they opened. Glad we did be because this place was packed within minutes. The restaurants theme was rock n roll with a huge random chandelier right when you walk in. The outside patio area had a band setting up. It is just as big as the inside. Their front door needs WD-40, as it screamed the whole time we were there. We were immediately greeted by the host who asked us a few questions about where we wanted to sit. 20 questions later...... we were sat at a booth against the wall. We ordered waters, a craft beer and an espresso martini type drink. Both drinks were great. The bartender did a great job on the cocktail. Our waitress must have been new because she seemed confused about question we asked about the menu and wasn't very attentive. Our waters were empty more than half the time and our request were ignored or forgotten. For an appetizer we had the BBQ chicken nachos. We asked for extra jalapeños. As you can see in the picture, we didn't get hardly any. The flavor was good except for the chicken. It seemed kind of slimy. Some of the chips were too burnt. I ordered a medium well Artisan Blue Burger with Sweet potatoes. The aioli, caramelized onions and blue cheese on the burger were an amazing combination. It I think my favorite part was the sweet potato waffle fries. They were crispy and seasoned perfect. My husband ordered the Demon Chicken Sandwich with fries. The "rockin hot sauce" wasn't hot at all. It needed more flavor. Unfortunately the breading on the chicken fell off and the bun was all soggy from not being toasted enough. He wound up cutting it up and eating it with a knife and fork. He left half of it as it was too soggy. I don't think we would come back. We could go to many other restaurants in the area with better quality food and better service. read more

Just as great as The Colony location! Fun environment, cool drinks & yummy food. We sat outside at some high top tables but they have some cool couches / lounge seating as well. Majority of the patio is covered, so not too hot. They had a giant game of connect 4 also. read more

Walking up and walking in is incredible. So much to look at in every direction. We were greeted quickly and taken to a table inside. Bring a sweater because the big fan and AC is working really well. I walked through all the areas and loved the POW/MIA table. Being a veteran it is a pleasant surprise to see those who never made it home honored in this way. So we had a few snafu's during this first visit. It will not deter me from coming back. We were seated quickly, our drink order and food order was taken quickly. Our server was very active checking on us. Around 30 minutes in one of the Chefs came out to let us know something happened to our order. Around 45 minutes in we did receive our food. I had the beef dip sandwich and it was outstanding. I could only eat half but it was like slow roasted roast beef shredded on ciabatta bread. The aujus sauce was so good I could drink it. The pizza was packed with meat on top of more meat. Pepperoni. Sausage, meatballs and ham. Chips and queso were good. The only other issue was the filet. It was supposed to be the 12 oz sirloin well done but that piece of meat was a filet and it was well done but that made it tough. The kitchen was gracious and we were checked on often. I will go get that sandwich again but my protein consuming athlete was not as happy. They did take care of us so like I said it will not prevent me from trying them again. read more

Not understanding the hate I'm seeing in the reviews. This location recently opened and I happened to be in the neighborhood looking for a place to eat. The usual suspects were busy and I was too casually dressed for any steakhouses. I've been to one in California so I decided to give this location a try. Was immediately greeted by three employees with giant smiles on their faces. I asked to sit indoors (I'm not a heat person, and yes, I realize the irony of living in Texas, but I digress). My server was out quickly and had the best attitude ever. I believe her name was Dess/Desi (my apologies if you're reading this and I messed up your name!). I love that the menu isn't 900 pages long. Pretty great choices and easy to make a selection. Tonight I had chips and queso (sooo good) and some chicken tenders with a bit of spice (something Pete's chicken tenders? I don't remember the name). Anyhow, the food was delicious, the service was amazing, and everyone had smiles on their faces. Pretty sure I just found a regular spot. read more

I really like this concept of a sports bar but with a music theme. There for lunch on a weekday, there was little sports available on TV, so there was a nice mix of music videos and sports alternating on the televisions, with the sound on to the music. I will take that anytime. Décor is also cool with all of the murals and photos of music personalities, which my wife and I had fun looking at and naming the performers as we waited for our food. We saw no Rolling Stones; how can that be with the word Rock in your name? Good beer offering, which means it would be nice to revisit at another time of day. I would call the menu and advanced sports bar menu as it offered a few nonstandard items. My wife had the Birria Beef Dip Sandwich which was very good. The dipping sauce was much better than a standard au juice of a French Dip. It had a very nice spice to it. French fries were also very good. I had the pulled pork sandwich which is described as Memphis style. Since I lived 35 years in Memphis and was actually a judge at the Memphis In May World Championship BBQ contest, I thought I would give it a shot. I am not much of a fan of Texas BBQ sauce and I must admit, the sauce here was in the Memphis style. It had the right tang and sweetness, and accolades for serving it with a small serving of coleslaw on the side which as every good Memphian knows is to be put on the sandwich as a condiment. I did and it was very good. I had the black beans as my side and found them too watery. End impression - a well-executed concept, good service and tasty food. read more

Probably worth 3.5 stars. Had dinner on Saturday at 4pm, had reservations (wasn't needed) and was seated immediately. Dining area is large and spacious, high ceilings, screens everywhere, no obstructed sight lines anywhere. Lots of music decor, as expected, really well done as the artwork makes various artist look as though they are performing together. Very well done here. Food was just average. Asked for a craft beer, but it was no longer available--no worries, that happens with tapped craft beer. Started with stuffed jalapenos, which were pretty good. Spicy, cheesy and a excellent portion size. Main course we had fish tacos and the burger with a fried egg on it...don't recall the name. Wife said the fish tacos were really good, and the 2 tacos were stuffed full. My burger was just ok. The patty definitely wasn't a fresh patty, more like a frozen patty that was char-grilled, and bland. The egg rendered the bun useless and it split/tore in half...which was surprising for a brioche bun. Service was great, waitress was very attentive and friendly. No issues here. Overall, not a bad spot, but nothing special that makes me feel like I need to go back. The menu has some interesting options (steak? pasta?) and makes me wonder whether tightening it up might allow them to focus on the core options (burgers, pizza, wings, tacos) with fresh meats, and that go with a music/sports bar venue. Horrible service by Danny the bartender. Unfortunately he took over for another bartender who was friendly and attentive. After the shift change happened, it all went downhill. The place was not crowded at all. There were two other people in our area. He serviced those tables multiple times and never once came over to see if we needed anything within a 15 to 20 minute period. Once we spoke to the manager he finally came over and claimed he thought we closed out. As a bartender you know what tabs are still open. So that was a lame excuse. Then the manager claimed there was a communication issue. Yes the issue was he didn't bother to communicate. I won't be back. There are too many places in the area to choose from to go somewhere to spend my hard on money to be ignored. read more

This was my first visit at Rock & Brew and it didn't disappoint!! The restaurant is beautiful inside out, large windows to allow natural light and multiple sections. The ambiance is amazing with plenty of relevant decor. They even have a foosball game and couches for large groups. Our waiter, Rachel was very nice, professional and friendly. She understood my complicated order, confirmed and executed beautifully. Lastly, John the manager, brought us our drinks and was also very pleasant. Upon exiting, I was sure to tell him how nice the store was. I will be returning as the food was delicious and the service was great. read more

Just a terrible experience. Maybe it's a short staff issue but the service in the outside bar area needs major improvement. Took forever to get a beer, food took forever and it wasn't great. I asked for a ranch dressing for a salad and it never came. Ordered a beer and 20 min later I just gave up. Cancelled it with the server. Out of nowhere it showed up as we were ready to leave. Very impressive and well designed bar, restaurant, patio and overall venue. Went last night to have dinner and listen to the live band (Blues Hammer). Food: I can never resist fish and chips, and was very impressed. I received half of a fish! It was an impressive fillet. Beer batter breading was awesome and the fish was perfectly cooked. Fries were fresh, hot and well seasoned. Slaw was nice. Beer: lots of taps and even have Paulaner Hefe Weizen! Beer temp and presentation perfect (correct properly cleaned glass clearly have properly cleaned/maintained lines/pressure/taps). Bartenders and wait staff: all professional, attentive and upbeat! Band: Blues Hammer rocked the house! Band interacted well with the house and the performance was awesome (did not expect this on a Wednesday night). They even nailed my favorite BB King song! Perfect night out! I hope Blues Hammer plays here often (venue is close to my house). read more

Been there twice now and both times I've had to educate the wait staff on their rotating taps. First time, the waitress was just confused when I asked for a beer listed on the rotating taps screen by the bar. She did go and check and told me they did not have that beer anymore. The second time, I was flat out told they only carry beers on the printed menu. Even after I pointed out that the beer was listed on the rotating menu at the bar, she still insisted that the beer was not on the printed menu so they did not have it. After showing it was on the rotating taps screen by the bar, she said she would check and I was told, they just ran out of that beer as well. I'm beginning to think that the rotating beer selection is just a scam to get people in or the wait staff needs some better education on the "brews" at Rock & Brews. read more

Our Daughter got her food 15 min before our food and she dropped her glass on the plate that shattered it and it took 3 minutes before anyone came over to check and help clean it up the the proceeded to go back and remake her meal and bring it out before my son and I got our food and it was another 5-10 min before my wife got her SALAD . I was very happy with the service just now when I ordered a refreshing adult beverage and was served promptly with a smile. I sat enjoying the music and watching sports on TV but was entertained the most by the nightmarish lady sat near me. How the staff remained so professional and polite, I'll never know. This lady was so rude and entitled it took my breath away. The way she spoke to the staff here was terrible. I was very impressed by the polite, flexible manner in which they handled her unpleasantness. After she left,threatening to leave a bad review, for no food reason, just trying to make herself feel a big shot, I felt compelled to leave a review here. Super Kudos to the bartenders and the kitchen staff! The drinks were perfect and the food... Best burger and the fries were to die for! The purple rain drops were fantastic! The only mediocre part of the visit was the flakey waitress who made mistakes in the order and would dissappear, forgot the request for an additional napkin, brought the wrong drinks, etc. Will definitely go back soon! read more

Food was good. Service wasn't bad (our server was nice and pretty attentive, but she never introduced herself). What I took issue with is that we were told there would be a 25-minute wait, despite seeing a few open tables. We did try to find some open seating at the bar, but we decided to wait for a table instead. One of the open tables was a high-top near the bar, and this is where we were eventually sat after our wait. When we pointed out that this table had been open the whole time, we were told it was a reservation but that the group supposedly changed their minds and wanted to take their food to go. Didn't sound totally believable. I think they were just trying to pace the customers. Again, the food was good, so that was their saving grace. read more
