Another girl's night and one of the girls picked this spot. When I arrived there was two layers of the parking lot and the top was full so I parked down bottom. The place is connected to a gentleman's club which was a little shock to me. Thank God there were no dancers lol. I told the man at the entry we had reservations and he sat us. We were served by a lady, I didn't catch her name, and she wasn't very attentive. She dissappeared quite a few times. I ordered the personal pizza with no cheese and a bellini in a can. The bellini was tasty but the pizza was cold and they didn't put much effort into making it. They did have happy hour which the waitress forgot to mention because she didn't realize it was still a weekday ‍. I also got a mixed drink for $4 but it wasn't the greatest. The bill came to about $27. The reason why I give this place 3 stars and not less is because of the atmosphere and the DJ was pretty decent. read more

Amazing first experience here! Drove by last week and decided tonight was the night to grab some takeout. We got a soft pretzel and some wings. The wings were literally the best ones we have had in NJ. I would recommend them. We got the sweet chili sauce which was recommended by the server. They were not hot at all but had such a nice tangy flavor! They were cooked perfectly too which is hard to come by. The pretzel was HUGE. I love a soft pretzel and was so excited to see it in a personal pizza box ! It came with bacon cheese sauce and mustard. Only thing is we wished there was more cheese ! Ordering over the phone was super easy and pick up was just as simple. Only confusion was where to park. This place is one of the restaurants that have fully adapted to the COVID situation and really make the best of the situation. They offer take out, patio dining and curbside pick-up. The restaurant has a huge patio, are building an outdoor bar, and are making plans to sustain business on the patio during the colder months that include kerosene lamps, fire pits and heaters. My server Jeremy was very helpful and energetic, explaining the restaurants new menu items, the restaurant's history and the restaurant's future plans. He kept my drink full and periodically checked in on me. They have happy hour specials and special events, such as karaoke, which I missed by a day and live bands on the weekend. The menu is short but sweet. They do have a lot of beer to choose from though. I went with the Smokehouse Barbecue Burger and potatoes wedges. They did not disappoint. It was a lot of burger, But I was hungry so I was able to put it down. The wedges were delicious and fresh. Some of the best I ever had. As this point, I was wondering why there were not a lot of people here. It must have been the weather. It was rainy. The chef came out after I was finished eating, greeted me and checked to see how I like my meal. Two thumbs up. I will have to make it back here on karaoke night (Wednesday) and rock the mic. I was here with a group of about 12 people. It was a Saturday afternoon post-Bridal shower afterparty (yes, I said bridal shower). We were seated at two long bench tables, and there was live music from a cover band that day. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. They have a good selection of beers and, if you're into White Claws, they have them there. Three of my friends are vegetarian (one of them was vegan) and the menu actually had an entrée wrap item for them to eat. Usually, you're kind of stuck getting fries or mozzarella sticks, but they got a an actual sandwich wrap that was really tasty. I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately it fell short for me. The patio was nice and spacious and they had karaoke going which was fun. However the service was so slow (id like to give them the benefit of the doubt given that they are new...). The food was average as well. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and despite it looking like a full and loaded sandwich with 2 chicken breast's when it first came out.. after further evaluation they were paper thing and tiny. I was still hungry when I finished... It was 80% bread. And the rest of the toppings weren't anything special. Prices are reasonable (I believe the sandwich was $12-13?). Menu is limited only offering pizza, burgers, sandwiches and salads. The other two in my party got the cheese pizza and the hangover burger. Neither were that in love with their food either. COVID situation: despite the waitress having a mask on, there really were no other mitigations .. there was no one enforcing others to wear masks (lots of people walking around without masks to to smoke etc.). Came here on a weekday for a lunch with a friend. It's conveniently located between our two houses. I should note, it's basically the patio of an adult club, but the patio is super large and there's tons of tables, some covered and some full-sun, which was a nice mix. The patio and tables were spaced well. I had to pop inside to alert someone, which is fine because it was obviously not busy. The menu was great - lots of bar food and good options for both meat eaters and vegetarians. we both opted for the burger and fries. The fries were battered and super fresh - they were the hit for us. The burgers were juicy and delicious. The buns were really fresh and all the produce toppings were great. Honestly, if you're looking for a no-frills burger done right, this place delivers. The service was really wonderful. Paula gave us all the time we needed to chat and catch up while we covered the menu, and took our order and checked on us often. I have been here three times, most recent time today. Myself, and three other women went around 7:00pm to grab a quick drink and appetizers. We set right in the middle (mind you 3 black women and 1 white girl) we could not be missed. We were the only Black people there. We could not be missed. We have it 10 minutes and saw a waitress wave at us and entered the building. She never came back to greet us. It was 7:30pm and after that I refused to spent money at this place where we weren't even acknowledged. Before leaving, I wanted to make sure that the business knew this was unacceptable. I went inside and requested to speak with a manager, but before asking, I inquired with a waitress that had very curly hair and asked her how many waitresses were working this evening, and the woman said " there are three of us" I said great I been outside for 20 plus minutes and never even greeted. I asked to speak with the manager and she said "he is in the kitchen running food" and walked away in the middle of our dialogue. I demanded to now speak with the manager and I finally spoke to a man named Paco. I explained to Paco all of the above, while speaking with him the waitress that we saw outside 20 minutes earlier that just waved, I said "that was the girl who just waved and never came back" she said " I said hello but did not get a chance to greet them" I'm like what type of business is this. I expressed my frustration and stated that if my skin were to be of a different complexion (white) then I would have been served and not dismissed. I am so disappointed, the manager did nothing, said nothing but would you like to be seated. I will never visit this establishment again. Summary: We were seated incorrectly, were told that one person needed to leave and we could not be accommodated or compensated for their mistake. Full story: Came here with 9 people. Called ahead on the way and everything. Said we were 9 people. The guy that answered the phone said no problem we have 2 tables we can sit you at. We arrived literally 90 seconds later. They brought us to a table set of 6. We got back to the host and reminded him that we are 9, and asked where is our second table. He told us that he was bringing us three more chairs for our table and they would arrive soon. He delivered the 3 chairs and then the 2nd host sat down at our chair to make small talk with the group while I was in the bathroom before coming back to find this situation. We ordered drinks, and then 60 minutes later the bouncer came by to inform us that we were too many at one table and one person had to leave. We told him that the host sat us 9 at the table and even asked if we should split into 2 tables and he said no problem and brought us chairs for all 9 people. He brings the host over who immediately denied everything and told us we were wrong. We reminded him that he sat us here and brought us the addition chairs and we didn't care where we sat, we just wanted to check out the new bar. He said we lied and somehow acquired an additional chair. We told them we want to respect their rules, we can sit wherever they need us to in order to keep compliance, he replied absolutely not, and that one person had to leave the bar. We were sitting there for 60 minutes and had just ordered two rounds of drinks and food that was on the way. We told him to cancel all orders and give us our bill on the spot. We're more than happy to comply with any rules, but you can't flip flop halfway through and kick one person out of a party on an error that the bar staff made. Had a good time at Rock Bottom Grill yesterday. Went Sat early evening and it was very comfortable and I loved the set up. We were immediately greeted when we arrived and seated. Everything and everyone was great and working hard but The manager was my favorite -- I had 3 children with me and he was extremely nice and accommodating. He even brought play doh out for the kids to keep them occupied! The food was really Good. We tried the vegan wrap, pretzel, and kimichi hot dogs and I recommend all 3. We also had the patron pops which were amazing!! By the time we left, the line to get in was out of the parking lot!. This place did not disappoint. I feel the need to say that because we had no clue - so pulling in to the parking lot was super confusing. With that being said, we had an amazing night. The DJ was amazing, our waitress checked on us every 5-10 minutes, and they were amazing with COVID policies. Limited bar food menu, but giant pretzel, wings and pulled pork sandwich were all pretty good. If, however, they want to credibly promote the place as a "beer garden" they need to do the following: 1. Offer at least one german beer 2. Include brats on the regular menu (currently just a one-night oktoberfest treat) 3. Avoid running out of mustard for the giant pretzel. The beer cheese spread is awesome. But, c'mon.. mustard! Me and my group of friends, 3 guys, 4 girls, went to this location on May 21st for their Latin night. We reached there at 9 and waited on line for 2 hours. Once we got to the front, a bouncer named Isaac sent us to the back of the line because he felt like it. He literally told us if we don't like it here, to go somewhere else. So I of course called the manager, who said he would meet us, and he of course never came out to meet us. Never ever back here, and you should not either. I came here with friends on a Thursday to grab drinks. Three of my friends were already there when i arrived. I sat down and noticed after about 10 mins that nobody had come to the table yet to take our order. I asked my friends how long they were there before I got there and they told me 15 min. We assumed that she would be back to take our orders but NEVER came back. At that point we decided to leave but not before letting the manager know that nobody came to greet us and take our order after already being there for 30 min. I myself work as a server so I know how busy an establishment can get but I also know that customer service is extremely important in this line of business. Wanted to check out this new place being advertised on some of the local Morristown Instagram accounts I follow. A group of 4 of us went to lunch. The patio is nice, large and the tables were spread apart. I did appreciate the utensils were all individually wrapped in plastic and the ketchup and other condiments were also individual packets. It was virtually empty at 12:30pm on a weekday but we didn't expect it to be very busy. This being said, the service was noticeably slow. The drinks & food both took quite a while to come and our waitress never checked back at our table after the food was brought out. She was very inappropriately dressed as well. She was wearing jean shorts that were way to short - let's just say you can see things you shouldn't while eating. I would definitely not bring my family here due to that. I am rating the food good - not outstanding, not bad. The portions weren't that large. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and a sangria. I didn't like the sangria. The only fruit was an apple and the slices were cut huge. It didn't have that summer flavors I look for in a white sangria. I would potentially give this place another try and it is new (and opened in the midst of a pandemic) but i'm not overall impressed. read more

I recently had a private event at the RockBottom Morris Patio and Grill. I cannot thank the owners and staff enough for doing such an amazing job for us that evening. I was pleasantly surprised and how seamlessly they handled the Covid guidelines, and all of our guests felt safe but were still able to enjoy themselves the whole evening. Ive never written a reveiw on yelp before...Ive been an avid patron of the Rockbottom Grill (Morris Patio & Grill) since it opened in the Summer of this year. Ill admit the place is a bit confusing as there are many different venues on property(some of which haven't opened yet), but the staff, service and food has always been very good. Granted in the beginning the service was a bit slow....but they quickly adapted to these difficult times during Covid19. Its probably the worst time to open a new business. I was inspired to sign up on yelp because i read a poor review of the place which simply seems vindictive and retaliatory. It doesn't seem possible that one person (with no previous yelp reveiws) could experience so many flaws in a short amount of time at a slow hour of operation. Ive been to Rockbottom Grill each night of the week and ive observed the management, ownership and staff addressing and enforcing the State Covid rules often. If you arent in your seat...they will ask you to sit or put your mask on while going to the restroom. If you get out of line they ask you to leave. The busboys sanitize tables and chairs often. If your waiting in line to get into the patio on a busy night, they socially distance you. Sometimes it seems odd that so many folks are seated and quiet (at their socially distanced tables) while the dj and bands are playing music that makes you want to dance. The bartenders, waiters, waitresses & barbacks wear masks and gloves, are friendly and diligent. The food is above average and presented very well. There are a handful of mixologists who make fantastic drinks. There are no other Restaurants or bars in the area with an outdoor patio as large as the one at Rockbottom Grill. There truly is nowhere else to go for Live Music, Great Food and Drink, Sports on Sunday, and the ability to hang out with friends. It helps that there are some beautiful people there too.
