We just moved in to our new home and called Rocket Plumbing to take care of some odds and ends. Marlon came over and ended up redoing the pipes under the kitchen sink (a task deemed necessary during our home inspection), he added a water line to the kitchen for our new fridge that was on the way (something that I was terrified about because it involved drilling a hole in our floor) plus he fixed a running toilet in our master bathroom. Used many different maintenance sewer rodding services. Rocket had competitive pricing and quick, efficient service. But the tech who showed-up to rod our sewer line used a different type of equipment -- one that I didn't like at all. The usual equipment involves a long rodding cable on a large powered spool. Rocket Plumbing's was different: a power hub, with a number of large cable segments that got connected together to make the full length. Each one of those segments had a heavy-gauge metal coil wrapped around the cable. As it was in use, the coil encased cable, which has some heft to it, vibrates and effectively "hammers" every surface it contacts -- including landscape timbers and lighting in our case. Not cool. If you have no landscape timbers or plantings, etc., to be concerned about damaging by that piece of rodding equipment, it would be fine. But we won't be using them again. Had two different service calls and each time the crew arrived fairly quickly and was both friendly and helpful. They took the time to explain what they were going. The larger of the two calls was to address an improperly installed toliet (from my contractor)... they were able to make the repair and then explain to me the things to keep an eye out. Excellent service! I called after hours and was surprised that they had a answering service that took down all my information and had someone call me first thing in the morning. Being able to schedule on a Saturday is a huge plus for those of us that have a difficult time taking off work. I had been without a functioning kitchen since I moved into my new, gutted condo. I was tired of washing dishes in the bathroom sink, so I called Rocket one evening a couple of days ago to see if they could connect up everything that had finally arrived (new sink, dishwasher, ice-maker in fridge). I got an appointment for the very next morning at 11:00 am. Joe showed-up on time, was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable He scoped out all the work and parts that would be needed, gave me a fixed price, went for parts, and finished everything by 4:30 pm. He had to deal with a broken-off main drain pipe and a missing packing nut that caused water to leak when the master shutoff was turned on. He fixed all that, attached the drains and faucet to my new sink, ran supply and drain lines to/from the sink and dishwasher, drill holes for the lines to/from the dishwasher in the cabinet base, and connected the supply line for the ice-maker. I was so happy to finally have my new kitchen working the same day, and was even happier when my cat was startled by the sound of newly made ice cubes dropping. They are not the cheapest, but when it comes to water in your home, you don't want the cheapest - you want the best, and that's who they are. read more

I am extremely pleased to say I had a wonderful experience with Rocket Plumbing. Not only were they courteous over the phone when I called in, but the plumber who was sent out came 30 minutes early, stayed until the job was perfect, and was a really nice guy on top of everything. My plumber's name was Tony and we ended up talking almost the entire time he was working in my kitchen. He gave sound advice about what to do when he left and did a fantastic job. I've had Anthony to my house a couple of times due to some plumbing issues right after we bought our place and the experience was awesome (as awesome as fixing plumbing issues can be). I'd used them in my old condo as well, and found them to be professional, easy to work with, on time (or early), informative and they do great work. I refuse to use another plumber ever again, having recently had a bad experience with a home depot contracted plumber (who HD sent for free due to messing up my kitchen remodel). Rocket Plumbing stands behind their work for good reason - it's great work and they have integrity. I came down to my home office in our newly bought condo to find the kitchen sink & dishwasher connections had leaked and it was now raining downstairs. Quickly put in a number of requests on yelp and Rocket was by far the fastest to get back to me. They had their plumber, Anthony who was very nice and knowledgeable, out to us within 2 hours and the problem was fixed by hour 3. They also gave us a recommendation for a contractor to help with the drywall that got soaked. Sadly I am leaving a less than favorable review. We had issues with our kitchen faucet which reduced the hot water to a trickle. Rocket Plumbing came out and deemed we needed a new kitchen faucet. We were told one was on the truck which was $200 and the installation would cost $300 in labor. We were also offered the purchase of a faucet at wholesale cost. My husband and I purchased a Kohler faucet through Amazon Prime for $185 and was offered expert installation for $93 which we took. read more

Marlin met with my husband was very professional and knowledgeable. He quickly was able to tell us what the issue was and explained in depth how he could fix it. If you need a plumber, look no further than Rocket Plumbing. I had a maddening issue at my condo, where the drain connected to my air conditioning unit kept backing up. This was very problematic as we were unable to use the air conditioner without closely monitoring the water levels. I had a plumber from another company come out who was unable to fix the problem. He ran 25' of rodding into the pipe, but the problem persisted. He felt it was a building issue (for my association to handle). So, I had my building association look into the matter. They brought out their own plumber who couldn't run the rod more than 5' into the pipe, so he declared it a unit issue that I would need to fix. He recommended drilling through concrete to find/fix the problem. After discussing this with my building's management, we decided to get a third opinion...and that is when we called Rocket. Obviously, we should have called them FIRST, but now we know. At any rate, Ben came out and assessed the situation. He ran 35' of rodding into the pipe, but the problem with the drain persisted. I asked him if this was a building issue...and he told me there was no question that it was (therefore, I did not have to pay out of pocket to fix it). After much investigation, it was determined that the problem was located in the unit below me. Ben and his team had to access the unit below me, and then knock out a portion of the wall in order to access the pipe. As soon as they did, the backup was immediately fixed. This was a huge relief for me. I can't say enough about Ben's work ethic and professionalism. He took the time to explain to me (as well as my building's manager) what the problem was and what it would take to fix it. It was particularly helpful in my case, as Ben was able to clearly explain to my building's manager why the liability for the cost for repairs lied with the building, instead of me. I will not hesitate to use Rocket Plumbing, and particularly Ben, for any plumbing issues I have in the future. read more

I will never call another plumbing company again. Tony pretty much saved us last winter when our pipes froze twice. He came out quickly and promptly each time and fixed our problem right away. The second time the same pipe froze and he came out and was able to thaw it before it burst and caused More damage than we already had. Recently he came out right away to check on a leak and told us the city should fix it for free and saved us from spending more money than we needed to. I trust Tony and feel he is always honest with us and I really appreciate it. I honestly haven't compared costs to other plumbers recently but I would pay a little more knowing I had honest and reliable service with Tony. read more

These guys are as good as it gets. I'm in an apartment with a landlord all the way out on the west coast so sometimes billing is a bit hectic. They deal with it perfectly every time. Marlon is the tech that always comes out to our house and I couldn't ask for better service. From leaking sinks and new garbage disposals to replacing our water heater he's been perfect. I was having leakage from my sump pump pipes in the basement. After reviewing Yelp, I contacted Brian in the afternoon, and he arrived that same evening to see if we needed immediate action. Brian asked us not to use our washer and shower in the basement until he arrived the next day since we needed a new sump pump and pipes. Brian provided several options, arrived the next evening, and corrected all the issues, including a kitchen pipe which needed to be stabilized. I had a clogged sewer line which caused sewage to backup into my basement. Rocket came out and attempted to clear the clog by rodding the line, but it was unsuccessful. The rodding cost me $400. Then they suggested the hydro jet method, which was successful in clearing the line. It cost me another $450. So basically I was charged $850 to clear the sewer line. Now they knew that the hydro jet was the better method, but they couldn't make as much money off me that way. If you ever call this place to clear a clogged sewer line insist that they use the hydro jet method. It costs $50 more than rodding the line, but it's more likely to work. They know this. I was never advised to the different options involved. This was an emergency and I didn't have time to do research on the best method to ask for. Also I was told that that they would get back to me about whether it was a just a clog or a collapsed line. They never did. read more

Sam came to look at a leaking sinking and fixed it easily, but told me at some point soonish I'll need a new faucet, so he gave me some options about replacement when the time comes. He then rodded my sinks which was disgusting but quite cathartic, for me anyway. He wasn't judgmental about the deluge of human life that cooagulates in kitchen and bathroom pipes, he's quite empathic really. And quick, he was done a bit sooner than he predicted. Price was very reasonable. I'll hire Rocket again, and hopefully Sam will still be around. read more

I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 just because I'm not sure if this was expensive or not - I know very little about typical plumbing costs. We had a VERY backed up garbage disposal (backing up into the dishwasher). Called on a Sunday, and someone was here by 10am Monday morning. Finished the work in an hour, super friendly, explained things so I could understand and dealt with two big dogs who were very interested in what he was doing. Even bailed the dishwasher for me when he was done. All this was $220. The kicker though was I had run some water in the bathroom that looked very cloudy. When I asked him about it, he speculated they were doing some work on pipes somewhere in the neighborhood. Ten minutes after he left, he actually called me to say he found where they were doing the work and let me know what I needed to do to get the water to drinking condition until the construction was done. Hopefully we don't need plumbing service in the future, but if we do, I'll definitely use them again! read more
