My sister recommended I contact this company because she and her family had used them last year. I Yelped the company and saw great reviews. I then contacted them, and other companies, via Yelp. Kate quickly responded with information. I found that in comparison to others, this company was the best deal. The movers called 35 minutes prior to arrival (much appreciated!) and arrived on time! They assessed the apartment as far as what needed to be moved, made the plan, and started getting to work! They were able to take care of all our large furniture and more than what we originally thought of having them take. The main reason we wanted to hire them was because of our solid wood Cal King bed frame with built-in drawers, and matching dresser, and nightstands. The bed came in pieces and it needed to be taken apart. They took it apart with no problem and assembled it (will see how good after sleeping in it tonight). Short story: it took 2 movers 12 hours to move a large 1 bedroom apartment with our help moving towards the end (2.5 miles), not everything made it safelu, and one of the movers lost my fob key (that lets me enter the building) and did not even apologize for it. Now if you wanna know the details keep reading.. I'll start off by saying that this was my first time hiring professional movers to help me move. After calling multiple moving companies I decided to go with Rockstar Pro Movers. When I scheduled the move, I told the person I was speaking to (I believe her name was Kate) that I am moving a 1 bedroom apartment that used to be a 2 bedroom apartment. I told her every furniture item I have and specifically mentioned that in the bedroom there are 2 beds - 1 queen and 1 full - and there are 2 dressers amd a closet. I then gave her the address I'm moving to (which is 2.5 miles away) and told her the apartment was on the 7th floor, but there's an elevator. She told me I needed 2 men and a truck and it should take approximately 4-5 hours. That sounded awesome. And I did think that 2 people could be enough because when I was moving in that apartment, my dad and boyfriend brought in all my stuff by themselves, so I knew it was doable by 2 men only. Also, she's supposed to be a pro at this and know how many men are needed to get the job done - I mean that's her job. Now. On the move day, they arrived around 9:30 during a 8-10 window. They came in and started moving stuff to the truck. I honestly loved the way their wrapped the furniture - I'll give them that. But other than that, I did not think they were professional at all. They were taking their sweet time moving my stuff. They were also sometimes carrying tiny boxes or just a small bag. Man I can carry more than that Come on! They would disappear for like 10 minutes in the truck and when I go to check on them I would find them on their phones. Seriously? It took them 6 hours to move my apartment in the trunk. The apartment is right on the street level. No elevator or stairs. It took them another 45 minutes to get to the new apartment which was 2.5 miles away. The big furniture made it with no scratches or broken pieces. However, a few smaller items got broken during the move. I had a clothing garment rack that broke and what they told me was literally "this did not make the move". No apologies or anything. Some clothes bags got torn and other items broke and they acted like it was not their responsibility. In the new apartment you need a fob key to work the elevator and to ge into the building, so I gave one of the movers the key so they can go up and down the elevator thinking that he was responsible and professional. WRONG. He lost my key. I don't even know how! Now thats mot the part that got on my nerves, what really got me was that he did not even tell me he lost it. He told my boyfriend, not me the owner of the key. He did not even have the audacity to tell me he lost my key to my face. When my boyfriend told me he lost it, I asked the guy what happened and he totally ignored me. I get that people mess up sometimes, but at least take responsibility for your mistake! Own it dude. I called security to get a replacement and I had to pay $75. I should've made that guy pay the $75, but I was nice and decided to let it go, and that dude did not even apologize for losing my key!! Are you freaking kidding me? You lose my key and have me pay for a replacement and you don't even apologize or thank me???? Now that I'm thinking about it I regret not making hik pay for it. Anyways, we were at the 9 hour mark and they were not even half the way done. So my boyfriend jumps in and starts helping them move my stuff just so that we can finish. And with the help of my boyfriend, they were done after 12 HOURS!!! They then told us that it took them that long because "I have a lot of stuff" and usually they assign 3 or 4 people for that amount of work, and they always recommend more people when moving to the 7th floor. Well why the hell was I not offered that when I scheduled the move? Why was that not even mentioned to me over the phone? They knew how much stuff I had and the fact thaty apartment was on the 7th floor. When you say "professional" I expect good communication, good and timely service. I sadly did not experience that. Needless to say, my whole experience was disappointing, and I will not work with this company again. read more

Very poor experience with Rockstar. We hired them for a day of packing and moving. The packing was mostly fine although we were charged for their lunch hour break. The moving day was horrendous and could not have gone worse. We contracted their services to move from a townhome to a single family home about 15 minutes apart. We had someone from Rockstar come to our home ahead of time to better estimate how many movers + trucks we would need, and then booked five movers and two trucks. The movers came toward the end of the arrival window the morning of the job with only one truck, although we did not realize it right away. Spoiler: the first truck filled up and we still had several items and pieces of furniture in the home. We contacted Rockstar to understand where the second truck was, as we would now be billed for added travel fees, time going between the two, and a second loading and unloading. They would only take a message and not connect us to the service department, who finally responded after about 90 minutes via text and offered to waive some of the fees (travel fee, added time for the travel). While that was happening, the lead mover instructed his team to unload as quickly as possible knowing they needed to return for a second pick up. I asked several times if we could please place the rugs down so that it would be easier for us to unpack and maneuver but there was a language barrier and while they said ok, this did not occur. When the crew went back to the first house, two of the movers stayed to help unload clothing from the garment boxes (they do let you borrow theirs so you don't have to purchase which was nice). I asked again if they could please help with the rugs instead because I could work on the clothes, but nothing happened. They came back and unloaded the remaining items, clearly tired from the day and wanting to leave for the day. Everyone was nice but the service was not that of professional movers and we were left with boxes piled high in every room (not even all the right removes despite them being labeled and me trying to direct them) and only the family room rug down -- which only happened because I insisted before they left to help us get it down and place the couch. My husband and I have a toddler and it will take us months to fully unpack as we now have to slowly move everything out of rooms to lay rugs, place furniture, and move boxes back in. Notably, despite the issues we had, no one ever reached out to us after the move. Dozens of pieces of furniture were left wrapped in plastic or blankets. We will never use this service again or recommend them to anyone. read more

This post is late but it's been on my to-do list since my move in April 2021. I hired Rockstar Pro movers to pack, load and move my house furnishings from Long Beach to Corona. They were very professional in the beginning. Someone came out to do a walkthrough of my house and make an assessment as to the amount of work involved and cost. Since I had recently moved from Seattle to Long Beach I knew what was involved in the moved. They told me they could pack my three bedroom house and move all in the same day. I questioned the assessment. I even said my previous movers spent one day packing my house and next the day they came back loaded the truck. He assured me they could accomplish the task in one day. On move day seven movers came out and started packing and moving items. They appear to be a bit organized. They didn't have labels and markers. They were packing boxes without labeling them. I had to stop them and give them my markers and labels. I would say 50% of my boxes were labeled and 50% weren't. They started the job around 8:00 am and finished loading the truck around 7pm. They stopped at 7pm but not all of my items were packed and moved. They got to Corona around 8:00 pm. It took them until 11:30 pm to unload all of our items. Since many of the boxes weren't labeled many of the upstairs bedroom boxes were downstairs. We later had to carry the boxes upstairs. Since it was so late we told not to unpack some of boxes (although we paid for pack and unpack services). Since there were items they forgot to pack the next day I had to hire another mover to pick up the missing items. They lost the screws to my dining table. It took two weeks and several heated conversations to get them to come back and fix my table. To top it off we had to pay double the original cost. Per their office manager they had to work overtime to complete the job. I don't blame the workers. I blame the manager. They underestimated the job and as result their performance was poor. I will NEVER work with Rockstar movers again. read more
