Had an appointment for a simple oil change at 1:00 PM and they had the keys to my truck prior to 1:00 PM. At 2:55 PM, I received a text message saying they completed an inspection of my truck and recommend a new cabin and engine filter. I approved the filters at 2:56 PM. At 3:24 PM they said I was ready to go and checked me out. Upon checking, they hadn't replaced the cabin or engine filter so service advisor said he would have it done in 10 minutes. That was 30 minutes ago. I am still sitting in the lobby with a total time of 2 hours 53 minutes since they had my keys for a scheduled oil change. Still waiting..... I put in for a Costco Auto Program referral to Rockwall Ford this Monday night. I get there Tuesday, asked for a trained Costco Sales Rep. John Bowers walks up, said I'm busy but I'll get you one. So he brings me Gus, says he knows the process. Lie #1. Gus' name isn't even listed as a Costco Rep. I was gonna walk out that moment, but wanted to see if Gus had any honesty in him left. Gus then proceeds to do dumb sells tactics by asking me questions like where I go to church to get me off my intentions. As a Costco auto rep, you're not suppose to negotiate, just produce the dealer invoice sheet. It shouldn't take more than 4 minutes to do that. Lie #2. While I'm waiting, I'm getting more pissed cuz Gus not even doing his job right and taking a long time. When he finally comes back, he does even more sales tactics to try and get me to use Ford Financing. When I said not interested the dude kept insisting. I'm saving money not using Ford and I'm not having my credit score slashed in the process. I had to cut him off and say gimme the dealer invoice. He acts as if he was doing it right when beating around the bush. Lie #3. The dealer invoice had no Costco Auto Price Sheet with it. Lie #4 The invoice had a markup of the exact same car just from a day prior to doing the costco referral. Lie #4. And the invoice had addendums, not mentioned on the window sticker like trumped up dealer charges or a security package when it was a base model. Lie #6. I go to look at the car, there's no window sticker at all. Lie #7. Gus even said something degrading that you're getting the more expensive look without the price. That's like saying you only can afford the more expensive look. As if a Mustang GT with Performance Pack and Active Valve is cheap. The car was filthy with mud all over the seats, floor, back seats, mirror, all the new car plastics/paper are gone, no new car smell, and the car had 187 miles on it trying to pass for a new car. Lie #8. Now I know dealers do low ball tactics to make money, but this is just insane! This is why people rather buy a used car from Carmax or Drivetime than do business with money grubbing crooks at dealers. I cannot wait to post this review online on your site, on yelp, on any other site I can find. I'm gonna give it the worst possible score I can. I've contacted a Costco Auto Program sales rep, and reported all the wrong including the illegal price gouging. I accepted the offer and forwarded my local financing letter from United Heritage Credit Union in Austin, TX. I was then told by the sales person, Rio Virgo, that I couldn't use my financing and that if I wanted the truck, I would HAVE to use one of their financing banks! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? It appears there are dealers in this day and age that will take every opportunity to screw you over for a few bucks. I complained and told them this sounded like deceptive trade practices. Rockwall Ford sold a vehicle that was listed on AutoTrader and their own website, while I was already 3 HOURS into the process of purchasing. After working 3 hours with me to approve the loan and sale, sales rep CRAIG B., ended our conversation telling me the truck more than likely has sold, but he will go check the lot real quick. CRAIG B., told me the truck sold fast because it was set at a real good price and that you don't find those trucks at that price. He then proceeded to let me know he had no other trucks in that price range and started offering comparable trucks starting at 5K more than the listed price of the original truck. I declined. My husband then decided to confirm the sale of the truck, he thought it was odd to sale a vehicle right from under you, especailly when the loan was approved and the paperwork was being completed. This sales rep, JORDAN, told my husband the truck was available. My husbdand said he wanted to head out to the dealership but just wanted him to double check the lot for us. JORDAN then replied, "oh wait, yeah, I see it here, it did sell, an hour ago." When my husband asked Jordan they thought it was good business to sell a truck from under someone that was already in the process of purchasing, Jordan replied, "this happens all the time." He added, I could be working on a vehicle all day for a client and but if another sales rep sells before me, then its sold, "so this not only hurts you, it hurts us." Bottom line, if your looking for integrity, you are not going to get it with sales reps Jordan and Craig B. Craig more than likely realized I was approved for a loan 3 times the amount of the truck I was interested in, tried to upsale me. Craig also probably realized the truck was listed at an immaculate price and was worth more than their asking price, therefore was ultimately declining the sale to me. Jordan was probably getting the down-low a little too late. Integrity is important to me. Both, of those sales reps lied to me. If they sold it while I was in the process of purchasing, they should of just told me that in the first place. Instead I recieved two different stories, a waist of my afternoon, and an unneccessary credit check. I don't know why someone would spend hours completing paperwork just to tell you it was already sold in the morning. Brought my Ford F-350 to be looked at regarding a customer satisfaction program which they would fix the issue for free. While their I was told I needed a front end alignment and that it was time for me to get a multi point inspection. After spending almost $700.00 I was told my vehicle was done and ready to go. I go to pick my truck up only to find out that they never even did the free inspection for the satisfaction program on my vehicle and that was the main issue why I brought my vehicle there in the first place. I had to leave my vehicle their once again only to be told three hours later that my truck had exhaust overload and was damaged internally? Shouldn't they have spotted that when they did my multi point inspection that they charged me for? The "satisfaction program" was to replace the ERG cooler which helps to prevent the exhaust overload in the first place. Now they want to quote me almost $10,000. to now fix my truck! The salesman Zoltan informs of all kinds of false information and pretends it isnt his "fault" as he's just the salesguy. Be aware of VIT- vehicle inventory tax. Now the name alone makes you wonder why you would have to pay for "inventory" tax as the buyer, well you shouldn't. Its a tax that they are trying to get the consumer to pay for when in reality it isnt a tax that should be paid on the buyers end. Do your research!! When you make a deal for price of vehicle plus tax, license, and doc fee and end up with other misc fees. Also, a certification isn't $1495 for a certified used vehicle. Pay attention people!! They are a scam and disrespectful. The salesman, Zoltan, will inform you; "you can afford it, you just don't want to pay". The sales experience was great, Matthew Rich was excellent and an extremely accommodating salesman and my review has nothing to do with my experience in that regard. Within 24 hours and less than 50 miles driving of my purchase, the clutch on my car (used car) went out. This is where my review comes from, the dealership offered to pick the car up and look at it which was a great start. However, all they did was out the car on a lift, look at it, and agree it was broke. At which point they told me it would be 12-16 hours of labor to diagnose the exact issue, and with Rockwalls labor rate that is approximately $2,000 they would not cover. They then offered me fraction of the labor rate in cash, and basically told me to f*** off with my problem. I am well aware they have no legal obligation to do anything on a used as is car, however this was an extreme let down and felt shady overall. At this point I called Lakeside Chevrolet and explained the situation. They offered to diagnose the car for free, and give me discounted rates for any repairs required It amazes me a dealership I did not purchase the car from, immediately steps up to the plate to offer their help when the dealership I purchased the car from had no interest in even offering to diagnose the exact issue without charging me an absurd amount of labor to do so. Again I find this a real shame as my sales experience was great, and if you absolutely must go to this dealer I highly recommend my salesman. However, after being prompted to review this dealership via automated text I cannot consciously give this review and not disclose my full experience. I went to go look at an F150. The salesman by the door asked if I needed help. I wanted to know if they had a truck in stock. He said he needed my license. I asked why he needed my license to know if a truck was in stock. He then told me he would not answer any questions unless I gave him my license. I walked over to the mangers. They answered all my questions as were super helpful. They then directed me to a saleswoman. Alexa was super helpful and enjoyable to work with. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! GO TO ANY OTHER FORD DEALER!!!!! We bought our truck from Rockwall Ford on Sept 28, 2019. We decided on a new, 2019 F-150 with all of the rebates and sale discounts going on with them. We had a trade in, and spent hours at the dealership working on a deal. The sales guy, Zach, we worked with was great. We liked him a lot. The problem stems from finance. Chase Vaughn was our finance manager and the one who did some really unethical things. We signed both on an ipad and a few paper documents. Anything we signed for on the ipad showed as JUST a signature line. No information, and no explanation by Chase. We dropped the ball here. We should've questioned everything. We had to provide one additional form of paperwork on our end before we could have the contract. We were to bring that back 2 days later and at that time, we would get all paperwork for the truck. Once we saw the actual contract, we learned that Chase had added 5 different warranties to our note for a total of $10,000 WITHOUT TELLING US. NOT ONCE did we ask for this. NOT ONCE did he tell us he was adding these warranties. He made one hell of a commission off our backs though. The dishonesty was appalling. It took almost 2 weeks to have someone even talk to us about this. Jeff Hicks, the GM never returned a single call of the 4 messages I left. Of course by then, the bank had been funded and "nothing could be done" to adjust our payment. We have learned that this does fall under the DTP Act, and we'll be seeking a resolution via that route. We are currently in touch with attorneys, the BBB, Ford Corporation and the federal trade commission to follow up on this. read more

Beware. Rockwall Ford is one big rip off! They definitely take advantage of their female customers. My wrench light warning kept manifesting on out of town trips. I took my vehicle in to Rockwall Ford while the light was showing so they could take a reading. They took the reading and then I scheduled an appointment to bring the car in for repair. At the time of repair, I received a text with a code and description of required service. Since I took my car in to repair the wrench light, and I am not a mechanic, I thought the code and required service as described were necessary to fix the wrench light issue. Silly me! I paid $1878 only to have the wrench light again come on the next time I went out of town. Rockwall Ford then advised that they did NOT repair the wrench light problem but instead found and repaired a different issue, stating that they had advised me of this and that I approved the repair. They didn't bother to call and explain anything to me, and of course I approved the repair via text--I believed it was going to fix the wrench light problem that I requested that they repair! Awfully convenient how they could not find and repair the issue that I took the car in for, but instead managed to find and repair something that had never caused a problem--to the tune of $1878. So why would I make an appointment on a Saturday and leave my truck on Sunday when you are closed if you aren't even going to look at it until Monday? What exactly is the point of making appointments if Rockwall Ford can't honor it? I had promised myself I would never go back to this shop 16 months ago, and now I clearly know why. Make that zero stars. I brought my 1996 Mustang GT to Rockwall Ford to get the A/C fixed because my granddaughter has been using it to get to work and was dying from the summer heat. That sweet talker Kris promised her that they would fix it for under $2000.00. What he didn't tell her was that in order to get to the cooling core after fixing the converter first, the dashboard would have to be removed, which was an impossibility, due to age and brittleness. They knew that from the start but they took her money anyway. For a job they KNEW they couldn't complete and that is what I call theft and fraud. They knew if they were honest with her, she would have walked away with her money. Now she is stuck making payments for the next 18 months on minimum wage for a car that STILL HAS NO WORKING A/C. If she has a slow month and can't make the payments, I'll have to do so on my Social Security check. Shame on Rockwall Ford and all of you involved in this scam.
