My chicken sandwich was $19.40 what a rip off and it comes with chips if you wanted to swap this to for a salad you have to add another four dollars and that's just leaves. We were spending the night in a local hotel in route from AZ to CA. We explored Yelp to find dining options. What a good find! The staff is very friendly. Our server, Kate, was terrific. Re filled my wife's iced tea without having to request it. I had a 1/2 rack of ribs. Delicious. Tender and great sauce. It came with Cole slaw (not the best but it was ok) and very good Mac n Cheese. We waited almost an hour for our food for the order to be wrong, fries cold and they served my husband two small ass chicken fingers! Service was horrible! The food was cold and it took forever! Stopped in for a late lunch on New Years Eve and sat at the bar. Derek (sp?) greeted us with a big smile as he was just starting his shift for the evening. The menu has many great options with clever names. My boyfriend and I chose to get the homemade chips with our sandwiches and they were great, you can't eat just one... the sandwiches came out quick, hot and delicious. In talking with Derek, we gathered that the owner of this establishment had ties to the 9/11 tragedy, although that was not our main topic in conversation. The firehouse memorabilia is amazing to look at and I am sure each piece has a slew of stories behind them. I am a sucker for historic treasures. We truly enjoyed dining here and if we revisit Palm Desert, we will definitely return to enjoy another great meal and conversation. read more

I was passing through Palm Desert and wanted lunch and randomly stopped here. It has a nice dive bar feeling inside if you like that sort of thing. The staff were incredibly nice. There was an odd selection of food on the menu, so I ordered the burger to be safe. My burger was okay. The fries tasted frozen and store bought. And seemed like my meal should have been a few dollars cheaper. My friend who was with me ordered the Asian chicken wings and those didn't smell good to me, but my friend liked them. read more

Found this restaurant driving from Tempe, AZ to South CA through the internet. Nice restaurant with a friendly and helpful wait staff. I had the Southwest Chop Salad which was fresh and tasty. The dressing was light and refreshing. I hope more people discover this place. read more

Went here for lunch for a casual lunch. The calamari sticks were crispy with a tangy dipping sauce. I had the tuna melt and my family also had one of their specialty burger, chicken fried steak, and salmon. All very good. Service was good as well. We usually go to the Bucatini restaurant next to it for lunch in the past 10 years. Sadly they are no longer open for lunch (open for dinner). read more

Roc's is a great place to eat - fun place to relax and enjoy a quality meal. We had the Rookie Meltdown (tuna melt) and Captain Adan's Chicken sandwich. Both were fresh & hot off the grill and very tasty. Roc's Meatloaf and Pan Seared Salmon are also fantastic. Wait Staff service is attentive and courteous. The atmosphere is comfortable, and not noisy. I would describe it a friendly tavern, with tables alongside a full bar. Several TVs showing different sporting events. read more

So we decided to try it, and could not believe how good the salad and watermelon steak were for a strip mall pub style bar. I highly recommend this bar eatery. This place is a mess. It's dirty and dingy. The decor, which is typical firefighter gear, is dusty. The whole place needs a good cleaning. Every chair had a torn or ripped seat, the bottom rail around the legs was so gross and dirty, and the table tops were sticky. It's just so run down! The staff really seems to care less whether you come in or not. It seems the the bar is the main attraction and even that is cheesy and dingy. At out table, the window railing was covered in 'baked on' dust, which happens when the sun bakes the dust that is never cleaned. The menu was sticky also, like it was wiped down with a dirty rag. As for the food, my husband won on that front. He had the All American Burger. It was freshly made, hot, and well cooked. The fries were warm, not hot. I lost on the food gamble. I ordered an Italiano Sandwich which was described as 'grilled chicken breast, with buffalo mozarella, tomatoes, basil, and garlic aioli served with potato chips". Sounds yummy huh? NOPE The chicken was a half of a boneless skinless breast, that had been sliced in half again. It was gray-ish in color, like it had been cooked a day or so before then just pulled from the fridge today. No seasoning. The mozzarella and tomato was ok. The basil was julienned, but it was slimy, half black and half dark green, meaning it was several days old. And the chips, well they were stale and bendy! Like from a open bag that's been on the shelf awhile. My sandwich was $18.00! And it wasn't even big or good! What a crime. And did I mention the big fat black fly that kept buzzing around our table. So icky. If you just want to go sit and drink warm beer at a mediocre bar, come here. But if you want a clean, pleasant place with good food, go elsewhere. And I'm not being picky! read more

This was an amazing find. Dedications from a real life local firefighter resonate throughout these walls. Service from a proud veteran was excellent as he beamed full of pride about these walls. We had dinner here last night and I always have a hard time writing a negative review about a business when the people are so nice. The staff here should definitely be commended for their service. Secondly, the wine selection and prices are reasonable and they have great wines like Austin Hope and La Crema. Unfortunately, the food just does not deliver. The ahi tartare was not fresh at all, even the chips were a little bit stale. We also had the burger with bacon jam and arugula. The burger was dry and devoid of any flavor, even with the fancy bacon jam and arugula. The fries were good but they were over salted. Overall we did not enjoy the food at all which is why I have to give this 2 stars. Hopefully management will read this and work on improving the food quality here. read more

My friend and I came here for dinner. I had the salmon piccata and a meatball knots appetizer. The meatballs were so tough, and the crust on the outside tasted stale and they were cold. Asked if they were microwaved. The answer was yes. My salmon piccata was very soggy on the inside, and the pasta was undercooked and cold. This was my first experience here. I was very disappointed in the food. But the service was good. I would not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for fresh food. If you are ok with microwaved prepared food, then you may be ok with this establishment. read more

My husband and I recently went to Palm Springs for a few days. We happened to stumble across ROC's on our way to our hotel. The restaurant is located University Village Park retail center. It's small and quaint. I ordered the b-shifter (turkey burger) and my husband ordered a fire chief (pastrami burger). The food was delicious, the homemade chips are amazing, and you couldn't beat the price. They have happy hour from 3-6 too. The next time we stay in Palm Desert we will be back. read more
