Apparently the staff can only service one customer at a time even though there are three of them. And can only do one task at a time. I have now been sitting here for 10 minutes - took 5 to be acknowledged even though the person busy folding napkins said 'sit anywhere' when I came in. Have not yet been asked for my order. She takes an order, makes their drink, rings it up, has not yet taken orders from me or another person. We are all sitting at the bar within 5 feet of each other. The patron next to me had the unfortunate luck to order a fried chicken sandwich and the fryer died just after my fries came out. I had finished my order before anyone noticed she still didn't have food. So the bar staff brought her nachos until her lunch came out. Now, they could have come out as soon as the fryer blew to see if she wanted to change her order. When she got her food, the fries were cold (but the chicken was hot!). I paid cash for my lunch and the change was $12.24. But only $12 arrived with the bill. I nearly picked up the $1 I planned to leave but decided to let her keep the $.24 for an 18% tip. All that, a very nice person, who comped me some hot tea (thereby earning additional tip) since I have been waiting for a room for over 2 hours and we are now well past the 'normal' check-in time. read more

Bartender was snarky. Ordered a Truly and response was "Nope". "Nope what?" "Nope, do you understand what nope means?" Apparently they do not serve sparkling spiked drinks. Seriously? Missing the mark Rodeo, most of my young professional female friends drink sparkling drinks to avoid a beer belly. Nice location and food but the attitude of the bartender isn't encouraging people to return or speak highly of your bar. read more

Came in for lunch. Ordered a Hook'em burger. It came out with no bacon or fried onions. I advised the cashier. She immediately took the burger back and they remade it. Omg it is good. To make up they threw in a basket of fresh hot fries. While waiting the bartender made a drink from scratch called a spicy Chupacabra. Ask Jason to make you one. read more

We had a lot of fun here while we visited Dallas and stayed at the Adolphus hotel. Our server Tavi was so amazing and so fun, we were grateful we got to experience him at the Rodeo Bar in a fun atmosphere and then upstairs at the lobby bar. He made our experience even a better one. Like my previous you stated had a little trip to Dallas to support my daughters cheerleading squad. After a long flight we were starving. Saw this cute little bar on the corner of Commerce Street and headed in at funnily enough the stroke of happy hour. According to the menu happy hour included certain beers certain drinks and certain sandwiches. We ordered two beers and upon the waitresses suggestion the foot-long hotdog with everything and the smash burger. My husband and I decided to split those. After a couple more beers the food finally came and we were very disappointed with the small portions. Nevertheless we did Cut each in half and share. Nothing really exciting to talk about typical burger regular hotdog shoestring french fries. The thing that got us was the fact that even though the beer was listed on the happy hour menu it was unfortunately full price. I did call the manager the next day to question the bill and no one ever responded to me. nothing should be listed on a happy hour menu unless that item is half-price or discounted in someway I think that's false advertising so a hotdog a hamburger and few beers cost us 80$? read more

We were in town for the weekend and had so much fun at Rodeo Bar. We popped in for a quick bite and ended up staying for hours. Andy, and Izzy made some fantastic cocktails - they even got me to try some new things!. We ended up coming in twice and both of days our meals were great. Different experiences both times we were in but definitely worth a stop. The lower level was closed when we were there, so we were happy to get a seat at the bar. Just opened back up and is close to the same concept. But you order near the bar and food brought out to you. Most likely a better option given the shortage in available staff for hire. Food was brought out quickly to our large party of 10+. They have large booths to accommodate and the fare is bbq inspired. The salad with chicken was just fine but the bbq dishes looked great and received great reviews from our group. Staff was very friendly. read more

My friends and I were the only 3 People of Color in the bar. We were told that the bar closed at midnight. At about 11:40 they turned the lights on. We tried to get the attention of the bartenders but they ignored us. Someone finally came by and we asked for one more round (they had just given several white men their drinks). The manager Rosa said that we could not be served because we had missed last call. We pointed out that we had been ignored and that other people had been served. She started to give us a drink and then when my friend wanted to order from someone else because she had an attitude she refused to serve us. I love the vibe at rodeo bar! They have revamped this place and it is a great hangout spot. When you go, make sure you check out the downstairs basement portion. We have been lucky enough to see a few live bands playing when we go. As for food, I would recommend one of the burgers as they are delicious. We will be back - thank you! read more

Rodeo Bar is my favorite bar in Dallas. Great food and drinks. The atmosphere, menu, and decor truly live up to it's name. I always look forward to having Dru as my server. He has great customer service skills, always kind and greets my friends and I with a smile and positive energy. Highly recommend trying this place out.
