The hot bar had Brazilian cheese bread, crispy polenta, beef stroganoff, bean stew, breakfast items and more! All was delicious. But don't get too distracted - the meat is the star. The meats were so very good! You choose what you want and the gaucho slices your portion table side. I asked for very small pieces so I could try everything. I believe I had 4 different beef preparations, 3 chicken and 3 pork (sausage, ham and loin). Such variety and deliciousness! And mustn't forget the grilled/glazed pineapple- I'd go back just for that! This place is not cheap, but I believe it's worth it (if you're hungry). We went for lunch which was lower priced than dinner, and I doubt we'll eat the rest of the day. My belly is full and my wallet is lighter, but my oh my am I happy!

Honestly, their salad / side bar has really good offerings. Even if you're not in the mood for meat, you can get some really good offerings from the salad / side bar. There is an option to skip the meat for a cheaper price. The food is all you can eat, which is nice! However, you better come hungry to get your moneys worth. I really like the concept of the place. The food was all very good, fresh, and high quality. The issue I have is that I feel like I can't possibly eat enough to get my money worth. So I would not come to this place often....

We had a reservation for a party of seven, and was seated right away in a quaint, well appointed dining room but the music was very loud -- more "nightclub" than leisurely brunch. The service was attentive without being overbearing, although the wait time between dishes and overall pace left a little to be desired. We started with cocktails, and while everyone agreed they were high quality and thoughtfully made, they were also across-the-board too sweet for our tastes. The Kahawa-tini (emphasis on the "tini" as in teeny-tiny) drank like an espresso martini, the Spice African Coffee was better, but the Black Star was definitely worth the price if you like a boozy cocktail -- bold, strong, and unique. The Watermelon Margarita was bold and vibrant. The Passion Fruit Punch was very passion-fruit-forward, while the Hibiscus Batida was creamy, coconutty, and almost dessert-like. Good (not great) cocktails, very aesthetic, just a little heavy-handed with the sweetness. The food was where Latha really won us over. We started with the whipped goat cheese with tamarind - it was light, tangy, and packed with flavor, especially paired with the warm chapati. They do charge for extra, beware. Of the main dishes, the standout was the oxtail shakshuka -- easily the table favorite and, in my opinion, the most flavorful dish of the brunch. The oxtail was rich and savory, and the criollo brought an incredibly aromatic depth to the dish. If you come for brunch, order it. The shrimp and grits were tasty, although the "grits" were definitely not what a traditional Southern version, it was more like overcooked rice. That said, the shrimp and accompanying flavors were savory and aromatic enough that the dish still worked. The watermelon salad with whipped feta was a generous portion and made for a nice palate cleanser. It was refreshing and pleasant, but it didn't offer a wildly unique take over a typical watermelon salad. The wings provided the most entertaining moment of the meal. Our server went way out of his way to warn our table about the insane heat of the Caribbean honey hot wings -- repeatedly -- stopping short of making us sign a liability waiver before ordering them. So naturally, we were expecting some serious face-melting heat. However, once they arrived the expectation didn't match the reality. The server waaaay over-hyped the spice level - maybe they've gotten complaints before but all of us agreed, they weren't deserving of such a warning. That said, the wings themselves were juicy and flavorful. You get 5 per order. I might as well mention the smoked salmon eggah, though I almost forgot about it. Definitely the least exciting dish of the table, though the server said it was a personal favorite of his. The salmon itself was nice, but the egg was spongy, the Gouda wasn't melted, and the overall dish just didn't have much going on flavor-wise. It was fine -- just not memorable. Overall: Latha knows how to build bold, interesting flavors. The food was a solid 4/5, with the oxtail shakshuka being the clear star. The cocktails were well-crafted but overly sweet, and the loud music, tricky parking, and slower service kept the overall experience closer to a 3/5 for us. Would I go back for brunch? Probably not. But would I go back for dinner? Absolutely. There was enough depth and creativity in the flavors that our whole table agreed Latha is worth another visit -- just maybe when we're looking for dinner rather than a relaxing Sunday brunch.

Ribeye, medium rare ( she thought it was also medium but I found it to be medium rare myself) it was soooo good. She had a side dish of Crispy Brussels sprouts that were unworldy. We never had Brussels sprouts that good, it must be the sherry vinagrette and cotija cheese. Unreal. I had a side of shishito peppers that made my heart happy. My favorite peppers are not usually available everywhere so it was a real bonus to the meal. Desert, well the desert was worth the wait. We both ordered the Ube Basque Cheesecake. It is a dark purple colored slice of heaven with masa crumble, Yuzu espuma and coconut jam. The presentation was stunning. We even enjoyed espresso with sambucca to finish our dining experience. How many places offer espresso on their menu just to inform you the espresso machine isn't working? Just another bonus for us. Price wise, what you would expect for a high-end restaurant in a beautiful resort area of Scottsdale, no sticker shock there, but still, I'd save this place as a never can fail go to for a first date, anniversary, job promotion, marriage proposal, special occasion restaurant. I bought my sales team to Rodizio Grill yesterday and all I can say is WOW! Our experience from start to finish was 5 stars. Our server Ana went above and beyond to make sure our team felt welcomed, taken care of, and appreciated. She was attentive, friendly, professional, and somehow managed to keep everything running smoothly even with a large group. The food was absolutely incredible -- every cut of meat was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and nonstop. The salad bar was fresh and packed with options, and the grilled pineapple alone is worth coming back for. The atmosphere was lively, clean, and perfect for a team outing. What really stood out was the level of hospitality. Ana and the entire staff made this more than just dinner -- it felt like an experience. My sales team is still talking about it today. I'm a regular at the Rodizio in Chandler and was genuinely excited to see a new location open in Scottsdale, especially since it's much closer to home. Unfortunately, my visit today was a letdown. The salad bar items looked wilted and brown, the sides were dry and seemed to have been sitting out too long, and the meats were either overcooked or undercooked. I understand that new openings come with a learning curve, but at this point, the experience just didn't meet expectations. I hope things improve with time, but for now, I won't be returning. read more

Salad bar is a complete joke - truly nothing worthwhile, so we were worried immediately. Then the meat came and ya know what? They turned it around. The meat was all hot, well-seasoned, tender, and plentiful. Flank steak and grilled pineapple were the stand outs. And one of the carvers, Angel, was fantastic. I like their ginger seafood dipping sauce, but I absolutely cannot stand Dijon taste, and that's what they use for their meat, a mustard sauce. I really wish there was an alternative. The meat seemed to be cooked well and the steak to my boyfriend's liking, flavor was good. We got Lucky to try a sample of the Seabass and holy moly!!! literally melting butter in your mouth! Definitely regretful for our choices and next time we come in, it's Seabass all the way no fishy taste, again just melts in your mouth I wasn't in the mood for the pineapple Dole Ice Cream a bit sweet but definitely can be refreshing from the heat. I got their salmon sushi, and it was good and a decent cut (5$ each on happy hour) My boyfriend got their Japanese whiskey and he enjoyed it. He just said there was a lot of ice. There was one open seat at our table, and I couldn't imagine squeezing another person in. there was even a child sitting at our table and it still felt like we were on top of each other. The food was delicious - from the fried fish to the sushi to the fabulous desserts. Then one of the men gawking at me from inside came up and (still not opening the door) said "we're closed". I said I had an order to pick up, and I was still left locked out until the waitresses served the men, and only then one finally approached the door and let me in. It was very unpleasant being left locked out for a long time and having the men gawking at me and ignoring me at the door with my confirmed order. Food tasted so so. And there was another woman who came around the same time as me who was treated similarly poorly. We were very disappointed.

The ticket time on my entree was about 10 minutes but the other two at our table didn't get their food for almost half an hour. No consistency. I may try this place again much earlier in the night.
