If you love steak this is the place for you. You get a card, you put it on RED and no one shows up to your table (with meat). Put it on GREEN and just endless types of steak. You name it. My first time to FOGO DE CHAO was the original OG in Dallas and it was way more intense than my experience here. It was almost overwhelming in Dallas. Way more relaxed here in Scottsdale. Which was a win but also a bummer, I was not getting the meat I hoped for (but if you ask the staff- they are more than happy to try to get the meat you're wanting to your table) The salad bar is almost as big as my house, candied bacon, every fruit you can think of, breads and soups..... don't fill up on the salad bar. Wow!! Awesome Experience! I love Brazilian steakhouses. My normal steakhouse that I go to is in Peoria. But after I walked in and found out that David, who was the manager relocated to Fogo de ciao, I couldn't help but have to go experience this because I knew him. This was the best experience I have ever had in any steakhouse and I'm so thankful that I follow David over here because that guy knows customer service and experience. It's nice to see that He's a really good bartender as well. But he definitely knows how to run the show which makes it even better. Thank you so much for this great experience David. I can see the appeal of Fogo de Chao. If you want a large amount of mid quality meat at a relatively affordable price, this is for you. We mostly got beef, lamb, and sausages. The beef is not impressive by any means, which is understandable given the price point. The lamb was too gamey for my taste (I could barely eat it). I also find sausages a bit too salty. The overall vibe is kind of confusing. It feels like they're trying to be upscale, but it doesn't really get there and ends up looking a bit tacky. They also consistently made people wait past their reservation time, which didn't help the experience. 3 stars are for the energetic and efficient servers and the satisfying salad bar. This concept might work for some people, just not for me. I'd rather pay more for a smaller amount of excellent steak any day. read more

All cuts available were a little closer to rare than medium rare & it was almost impossible to find a server w/ the temp of meat you'd like. The meat was bland. I'm okay w/ basic salt & pepper but even w/ me adding them....it did not help. Servers were nice & attentive for as busy & pulled all over the floor as they appeared. Lastly, we had 2 slices of key lime pie & they were the most SOUR/TART slices any of the 6of us ever tasted. We took a pics & videos of us tasting the slices to record our puckered faces. It was funny bonding moment but no, no key lime pie should NOT be that sour. Least the 6 of us didn't think so. Don't plan to return as the price/flavor value didn't match up. It may be easier to just get a full size steak cooked to your ideal and be done with it. Even though it was Valentine's Day, they still did a great job. We had reservations but still had to wait about an hour due to the extremely high volume they were experiencing for the holiday. However, the staff was very pleasant, brought out small samples and water, and tried to make things as painless as possible. It's a pretty small Fogo compared to other locations but had a great atmosphere and layout. With the volume of business, they were doing, there was no way that any of the food could possibly be cold. (Even though it was Mother's Day weekend and they were fully packed, the wait was not bad...there was space with tables and chairs to wait near the bar.) The salad bar was nice and meat selections were good. (definitely try remembering what you like so you can get seconds or thirds. Some meat were dry, some too salty, while others were so tender and perfectly cooked. We really enjoyed the bacon wrapped steak, filet mignon, parmesan crusted pork, bacon wrapped chicken just to name a few.) Our favorites had to be the sides they brought to the table. (cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes, caramelized bananas, crispy polenta) Also don't skip out on the grilled pineapple with cinnamon or the grilled cheese with honey served table side. Those were definitely things we asked more for. Eat slow, don't over load on salad bar, ask for more cheese bread and enjoy! Kids: Kids said it was the best dinner! They enjoyed watching servers come to the table and ask if they wanted different cooked meats. Our youngest is a veggie lover and we couldn't believe he kept asking us for more meat! My husband and I love going to Fogo de Chao! We always go whenever the "best of Brazil" deal is running, which is $49/person, and it's totally worth it. The meats are always perfectly cooked and delicious. My favorite is the picanha. They also had a grilled pineapple with cinnamon sugar and it was DIVINE. This is a perfect place for a family dinner or date night. Every single employee is friendly and welcoming. I made a reservation for Fogo on 1/22 for Valentine's Day on 2/14, so glad I did because the restaurant was extremely busy when we arrived and even more busy when we left. I was hoping to get a decent table but we were sat against a wall with a swinging door (that wasn't being used) but still was a bit unstable and the sound from the back dining room carried through it, we were also skipped a LOT by many of the folks carrying around meat skewers. Overall the food was great, I'm not sure we ate $200 worth but I look at it as getting to try several types of meat we wouldn't otherwise have gotten at a regular restaurant. Miguel was our server and he was fantastic, he was quick and efficient with drinks and taking empty plates away. 11/10 no notes! We spent a bit of time people watching in our section, the table turnaround was insane to watch, everyone moved together like a well-oiled machine. We'll be back again someday! read more

This is the third Fogo de Chao that I have tried in the United States and this was the worst experience. Upon arriving at a sat very quickly. I ordered a beverage and hit the salad bar. The salad bar was great lots of fresh options. I drink never came. I re-ordered it the next time I saw the waitress who did eventually bring it. But at this point, I had made two trips to the salad bar, and still had not been served any meat from the churassaco. Eventually, a waiter asked if there's anything they could do for me as they saw I was clearly sitting there with an empty plate. I explained that I was just seeking beef and none had come by in the half hour I had been sitting there. They went off to find me beef. And another wait staff eventually came by and asked if I had been offered any of their hot sides like they're special bread or mashed potatoes... Which I had not. At this point I've been at the restaurant 45 minutes. I had received one serving of beef, unlimited salad bar, and one soda with no sides. At this point, I was getting frustrated and it was getting late. I decided to cut my losses. I ordered one last soda... Which in the next 10 minutes never came. I paid the bill and laughed. Super disappointed not only did I not get the meat that I had hoped to enjoy that night I barely got anything to drink and missed out on the hot sides. read more

This place has been in my to-go list for a long time and finally was able to go with my family. For the experience, it is worth it. They do coupons and all often, not that we used it but it would be so good to go with those consideration. If you are a meat lover, then this place if for you. Plenty of good options to eat and they never stop coming to you unless your card is turned red. Go here at least once for the experience. Here are my takes: Food/Drinks: Not the most premium cut but everything taste great. They come and give you some appetizers on your table as well. And the garden table has plenty of option. Its a big buffet and for the price, it is worth it. Cheese buns they give is just resistible. Service: Appreciate the servers attitude here. So many people came to check on if we need anything. Meat servers never stop coming to you place even when you are sitting at corner table. Everyone was so great here. Ambiance: Well that's the only complaint. It was so crowded that it did not feel classy as I expected. Hygiene: Nothing in particular that we felt as extreme but it was not the most cleaned restaurant you would ever be. Price: If you are meat eater then it is not expensive for what you get. But those who have less appetite, you may feel a little expensive. What a weird thing to do... I had an incredible experience 6 months ago and I brought my family here last night and boy o boy... all the meat was well done except their signature picanha which was medium rare but was only offered to us once. We were sitting in the middle and the servers kept going around the outside tables and skipping all the middle tables. We were not the only ones that were experiencing this the tables around us did too. Then we decided to give up trying to get meat and went for dessert which was amazingggg that is the only reason why I can give it 2 stars this time around. After dessert we waiting soooooo long for our server to come back and check us out. We all left the table and only the person that was paying stayed. He stayed for a good while!! We walked around all Walgreens across the parking lot and he was still trying to pay the bill. Overall the first time around amazing 5 stars we really loved it. We brought our family here to celebrate my daughter's birthday and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience, especially after spending close to $900 for our table of 10. Even though we had a reservation, we waited over 20 minutes to be seated. After finally sitting down, it took another 15 minutes just to get drinks. We then waited more than 20 minutes with no plates brought to the table, and another 20+ minutes before any meat service started, even though our cards were green the entire time. Out of 10 people at the table, only two of us were able to try a small piece of filet mignon, and the servers never returned to offer it to the rest of the group. Soft drink refills were extremely slow, and at one point the refill didn't arrive until about five minutes after we had already paid and finished dinner. What made the experience more uncomfortable was how often staff came by asking to clear our plates while we were still actively eating. It felt rushed and pressured, as if they were trying to turn the table quickly. The restaurant was very busy, and while we understand that, guests should not feel pushed out , especially at this price point. The table spacing was also very tight, making it difficult to walk to the Market Table or even to the restroom. To make matters worse, this was noted as a birthday celebration and we were told a small cake would be brought out. After paying and waiting another 15 minutes, no cake arrived. As we were about to leave, the server asked if we had received it yet. At that point we just asked to have it boxed to go. For nearly $900, the experience did not feel worth the cost. The service lacked the attentiveness and hospitality we expected, and the overall visit felt more rushed than welcoming. We only have about three different kinds of meat and some cheese and honey. The sirloin was very dry and salty. The others too were either too salty or too fatty. And I can understand the meat come with some fat but to see the slice of cut on a customer's plate and not offer a different cut is also outrageous PLUS, this being written the next day. My wife and I are in a whirl with our stomachs!! We've had like three teas to try to fix our damn stomachs. Overall, we don't mind paying for some good ass food. Call us big backs but it was OUTRAGEOUS to pay 200 for some overrated meat. Also, we noticed that the surf and turf was being offered and online it says $59 but in person on the menu and WHEN we asked it ran for $79. Not sure if it just didn't apply for Friday nights? Made a reservation on a Sunday at 1:30 pm and the wait was 20-30 minutes, so we sat at the bar and discovered that they have HH menu all day Sat & Sun only at the bar and patio. You don't get the full experience of all you can eat but they do have some pretty decently priced appetizers and shareable. We still asked for the Brazilian bread and mashed potatoes and they were nice enough to accommodate. We shared the empanadas, queijo assado, braised beef rib sliders, and the dry aged tomahawk steak. All were so good and if you are celebrating for a special occasion you get to choose a dessert for free. It also seemed like the restaurant may have been understaffed overall. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations. I would likely choose a traditional steakhouse instead--Texas Roadhouse offers a better experience in comparison. We tried Fogo de Chão for AZ Restaurant Week and had a pretty good experience overall! We got there early hoping to grab a drink at the bar, but it was under renovation. Thankfully, the hostess said they'd still honor HH prices at the table! We all went with the $55 all-you-can-eat AZ Restaurant week special (minus the prime meats) and headed straight for the salad bar. Everything was fresh, and they had a good variety! Once back at the table, the meats started coming out regularly. The pork was definitely our favorite... so flavorful! But the standout? The blistered cheese with honey. OMG My husband and I could've eaten a plate of that alone. We finished the meal with a crème brûlée and a chocolate cake... both delicious and the only photos I managed to take! Only downside of the evening was our server disappeared after taking our order. We had to ask other staff twice for the cheese bread and polenta fries that come with the meal. We held a business dinner at this location in Phoenix, Arizona. The service was outstanding, we were looked after by Anahi and Angelina. They took great care of our guests and made the experience 10 out of 10. The food was excellent, I had to ask a number of time for the filet mignon to come out when it did both times it was a little bit overdone and salty. We didn't see much of the lamb chops either I had to ask for a few times for it to come, and by the time it came, most people were already too full. I think when you have the dinner experience at $85 per person they should really ensure they bring the premium meats too. The location they hosted us in was good, the ambience is perfect. You get unlimited meat, as well as the salad bar and irresistible cheese balls! Service was pretty attentive and friendly. It can be really busy on the weekends so make sure to make a reservation. It can get pretty loud in there but there is plenty of seating and it's very spacious inside There are about 10-15 meats to choose from and the staff comes to your table pretty consistently asking if you want a slice with the meat they have unless you turn your card to the red side (you are given a card on your table - green side says yes please and the other side is red when you flip it over, if you want them to stop coming). My favorites were the filet mignon (so tender and flavorful!), top sirloin (so yummy and not too fatty!), bone-in ribeye (super well marinated and tasty!), and the cheese bread was soooo delicious!!!
