Rodney's is (without a doubt) the greatest establishment in NYC. Allen, Crystal, Reggie & Remy are the best staff in the city. Seriously, if you're looking for comedy, this is the place. My husband and I went to Rodney's for the first show of their opening weekend, and if you decide to read no further than this, know that we cannot wait to go back! The first impression you get from the decor is fantastic, the seating is super comfortable and homey. I felt like I could just relax on the couch and enjoy what ended up being a great show! The service was fantastic, very attentive without distracting from the show. And the comedians were simply fantastic! Truly the best comedy show I've been to. Definitely the perfect activity for a Friday or Saturday night, all shows are at 830, and can guarantee it won't disappoint! read more

Happy to see a new establishment on the UES. There are a few things though that could be fixed (I.e only one stall in the women's room had TP while the rest didn't, no cocktails available and my friend had a dirty glass). Hopefully they fix these new business blunders because we need a good comedy club in the area. read more

We went there for New Years Eve. Beverage service was complimentary. Really nice place. Well set up with plenty of seat and room to move. The staff although overwhelmed on opening night made sure to have drinks flowing for whoever wanted them. We were in the far corner and the view and sound were great. This comedy club is becoming my favorite here NYC. Formerly Dangerfield's which was shut down during the pandemic, it just opened up its doors this month as Rodney's and the comedy shows here have been absolutely memorable. While laughing my heart out, I had some tasty beverages, and enjoyed the ambiance and new minimalist decor. The service is first class. Will be coming here a lot. ! read more

Oversold an event one 3/25 by over 100 seats, started the show with lines still around the block, didn't make any announcements at all to the line, made no effort at all to manage the line, and were incredibly unhelpful at providing refunds for their boondoggle. Not to mention they packed way too many people into the event in what was clear a fire hazard. This place is awful, avoid at all costs. read more

What an incredible night! I used Rodney's as a private event space for my 30th birthday/engagement party and it was a night to remember. Not only was the space perfect (full bar, stage, sound equipment), but the staff was so great to work with. They took care of everyone so well. Leading up to the event the communication was so easy - they were super flexible and willing to work with me on so many things. The team at Rodney's made an amazing night truly unforgettable. Oversold a show by hundreds of people. Had tickets that weren't honored. Line outside wrapped around the corner in the cold for 1.5 hours. The show started with hopeful people still waiting outside. Zero communication from any of the staff. An absolute waste of a night. Any New Yorker worth their salt knows that this is one of those sleazy comedy clubs that doesn't respect its customers. Visited on Friday for date night and wow, was it great!! The comedians were hilarious--I wish I had worn waterproof mascara that night! Enjoyed about 2 hours of comedy, so felt it was good value. Shannon our server was great. Only beer and wine but the selection was pretty good. Can't wait to bring my friend when she visits next month! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. Nearly every comedy club is a dive bar but Rodney's is upscale at its finest. Their lineups are solid, the drinks are good and they have couches! laid back and classy place to see some of the funniest acts. Will be back for sure read more

Tried to attend the cursed Task Master event they held a few weeks ago that they oversold by hundreds of tickets, leaving people stranded in line wrapped around the block without telling us the show had already started inside without us. They said they would refund those of us who didn't get in. It's now been over 3 weeks and I still haven't received my refund, despite them telling me 2 weeks ago over email it had been processed. Absolute con artists running this place. EDIT: Since leaving this honest review, I have been harassed via email and yelp messages by Mark at Rodney's begging me to remove this. The reason I will not is because, working in the live comedy entertainment field myself, this event was poorly run from start to finish, up until, and beyond, finally receiving the refund. Upon arrival at the event, there was already about 150 people lined up around the corner for the event. There was also a smaller line going the other direction, no one was there to direct as to which line we were supposed to get in first. We walked all the way to the back of the long line only to realize that line was for people who already got wristbands (other attendees told us that, not an employee), so back to the smaller line we go to get wristbands. While in the wristband line, the owner of the pub next door comes out and tells us that we won't get in, the place can't hold that many people. We said surely it can otherwise they would be turning people away. At the front of the line while getting our wristbands, I ask if we will get into the show, it seems like more people than can fit. The woman says "I hope so! Just kidding yes you'll get in." Back to the end of the line wrapping around the block. The line barely moved for the 45 minutes we were in line prior to the show starting. We kept thinking someone would come by and tell us we weren't going to get in, but instead, more people were being sent to the back of the line. When it hit the time the show was starting we thought surely someone would come say we aren't getting in, but no one did. About 15 minutes after the show was supposed to start (we were naive enough to think they might delay the start until everyone got loaded in), we finally walked back around the block to the front of the line to see what was going on, only to see the event had already started and the entire place was packed like sardines, we definitely weren't getting in. The woman at the door says something vaguely about a possible second show if we want to wait, and I said no I'll take a refund please. She said she just needed my email and a refund would be processed. After providing my email, we stand around for a second to see if anyone is going to go tell the other 150+ people wrapped around the block that they aren't getting in. There were 2 women at the door and about 3 guys on the sidewalk who all seemed to work there, one of them being Mark in a pink polo, just standing and talking to each other, even seeming to be looking at the line of people and laughing. No sense of urgency or remorse about wasting everyone's time and getting everyone's hopes up to see a show they were excited to see. I myself left work early to make the show, only to go home early wasting hours of my life and not getting to see the show, and subsequently being harassed by Mark via email and yelp. After that night, trusting that they were handling my refund, I waited 2 full weeks of not seeing the refund until reaching out to check on it. Apparently this was the first that Mark was hearing of my request, so I'm not sure what list that woman put my email on then. So yes, the refund did finally hit over a month after I first requested it. Hope this helps. read more

Absolutely terrible. Oversold their venue (and sold tickets for twice the rate after overselling venue), denied entry to over a 100 ticket holders, and are now being scum bags hiding negative reviews on google. Will never go back--just completely unorganized and smells like a cash grab. read more

i strongly recommend staying away from this club. They held the Taskmaster premiere here and it was obvious they had no business hosting such an event and it was just a greedy cash grab. Coat check was mandatory at $5 a coat. Bulk popcorn and snacks that looked like they were purchased at Costco were sold at an insane price, as was the soda. The staff were all inexperienced and had no clue what they were doing. They severely oversold the event and tried to cram way too many people into the room. it was a fire hazard and you could not exit your seat. read more
