Called them, left voicemail. Tried calling them again the following morning, got the voicemail again. Gave up as there was no response within a day. So I called another repair company. After making an appointment with someone else, someone I assume is Roger called me finally. The call did not go well. I stated: well, sir I never got a call back from you, so I arranged an appointment with someone else. He claimed I didn't leave a message. I said I did, yesterday... He then said "Oh, yeah...I was just about to call you back about that"...to which I responded, I needed the work done, and 20 hours had passed. He then said he didn't respond because I left the message "after hours"... I pointed out: I left the message at 10AM the previous day. He then acquiesced and stubbornly said "have a nice day". If you want business, return messages. If you want business, make sure you have a single phone number people can reach you at. (there's about 3 for this guy if you search the web)...but most importantly, if you want business...don't argue with a potential customer, or make excuses. Part of being in the service business, or any business is the skill of knowing when to own your mistakes. This was a pretty ridiculous experience. read more

Roger's Appliance service has been serving the northwest Indiana area for over 20 years. As the business is owner-operated, all repairs are done by Roger and usually on-site. We service nearly all makes and models, with repair times occurring withing 24-48 hours (in most cases). Appliance repair services include but are not limited to: washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, garbage disposals, stoves, microwaves, and small appliances. There is virtually no limit to the makes and models we service as well. Again I'm trying to de-escalate. his dog run as starts harassing my 2 year old in the car cause the door is still wide open from my son climbing out finally after my wife gets in the driver side I'm trying to get my son across the busy street to get him away and to his group. once I knew he was ok and in good hands I return to see this guy threating my wife with a baseball bat. the coaches had to stop me from going across the street after him. my wife pulled off safely and the cops were called. filed a report and got witness testimonies. If this is how this business handles a simple miscommunication I wouldn't want them anywhere near my property.

This service was recommended to me by Rainbow Appliance, because they were not able to service my Kenmore top-load washer. I was able to contact who I believe was Roger, today 10/22/21 & and received a very quick response. I had not dealt with this business before, but was very impressed with the honesty & willingness to help me in my time of need. Roger took his valuable time to "walk" me through a few service suggestions, that according to him might possibly get the washer working again. Through his professionalism, patience & compassion; I was able to do just that! It is so comforting in these trying times we are all experiencing, to come across such an honest, caring person & business like Roger's Appliance Service! I called not expecting to get Roger (it was 30 min after closing), he answered and after I gave him my model number and described the problem, he was able to advise on a solution. Kenmore/LG products apparently have a consistent issue with compressors (mine was less than 3 years old). Advised me to scrap the unit, cost for install was more than the value of the appliance and would only result in added problems down the road. . . and to get a new GE fridge. While I did not get to actually have Roger work on the unit - any future issues I have with household appliances - he will be my first call...though I do not suspect he will be needed for fridge repair since I'll be purchasing a GE this time. My dryer stopped working yesterday. I checked the breakers and was able to wash clothes but the dryer did nothing. I called Roger and left a message about the "symptoms". He returned my call and told me he could walk me through the problem and that it was not work my $$ to make a house call. In minutes, he walked me through the fix to my dryer problem and saved me a bundle on repair. I am grateful to him for his quick and courteous service and will call him again if another issues arises. So, if you are in need of a repair, please call Roger!!! After doing so I was actually able to take a bit of time and fix my refrigerator myself without him even needing to come over. I called after my freezer drain started overflowing and leaving a lake under my fridge every few days. I figured it needed snaked to fix it and was willing to pay someone to come out. Roger gave me some great advice to diy and save me money. It worked perfectly. He could've easily charged me a visit and fixed it himself, but he is definitely a man with morals.
