Let me start by agreeing with the previous reviews! 1. It's too loud inside. I couldn't hear the person taking my order and she couldn't hear me and with no masks or plastic dividing us we just kept getting closer and shouting more, not ideal. 2. It's very expensive. It may be priced for their other markets but Corona is well known for its Miguel's Jr restaurant which is now a local chain (nearby). They also famously have taquitos (3 pack) which also come as chicken or beef and are topped with cheese and something much closer to actual guacamole for $6.65 +tax compared to Roll Em Up's $8.98. Roll em up should have done a little local research. Ok so now the food.. here goes my personal opinion. I consider myself a foodie and I love to eat and cook, my waistline doesn't lie. I ordered dinner for two. We each got the same thing: 5 pack of taquitos with corn tortillas (because if its not corn its not a taquito, its a flauta!), 2 beef, 2 chicken, and 1 potato with a side of original street corn in a cup and a drink. You can choose to have the taquitos plain, with cheese on top, or with sauces on top. I ordered with just cheese on top and sauces on the side. 1. The chicken taquito: it was ok, not much stood out, but it was good. I felt like it, and the others as well could have been crisper (cooked longer). The first bite has a crunch but the middle was soft. It's not crunchy throughout like I'm used to. 2. The beef taquito: the shredded beef stood out, I usually always order chicken at the other restaurant but since this was my first visit I wanted to try all three. It was very tender. 3. The potato: I love having a non-meat option. The only thing once again was I wish it was crisper. It was as is expected, mushy potato in a less than crispy tortilla. I like mushy potato but I like my corn tortilla crispy. 4. The street corn: that was the most expensive corn I've ever ate. It was tasty, but for the price there was not enough of it. I got the original, they also have a version with hot cheeto dust and tajin. There was alot of liquid at the bottom of the cup, melted butter and corn juice? For $4.98 I'd like a little more corn (I'm not sure it was even a whole ear, maybe ordering it on the cob is a better deal) and a little less butter (yes, I said less.. I know crazy right!) 5. The sauces: That is NOT guacamole. The cashier said it came with guacamole, sour cream, and "roll em up sauce". My receipt says "guacamole" but what I got was a tomatillo sauce that had some avocado in it? It's green salsa. It was delicious, I'm a huge fan of tomatillo salsa but I was expecting for $11.98 my 5 taquitos came with guacamole! The "Roll em up" sauce was supposed to be mild according to the cashier or so I thought but it was hot. I mixed it with the sour cream and it was ok, I don't do super spicy and this was not mild. The sour cream was sour cream. Posted Pictures: the two orders of the same 5 pack taquitos did not look the same, strangely, so I'm not sure about consistency. The green sauce is the "guacamole" or if you know what guacamole is then this is tomatillo salsa, you can see how thin it is. The pink is "roll em up sauce" and the white is sour cream in case you're from another planet. As for the restaurant other than being loud inside it was very clean, stylish, lots of employees. You have to weave through the tables and chairs to get to the register to order, if the tables had been full it would have been a hassle. Making a lane to walk through would be nice. I didn't see a public restroom? Was there one? By the way there is no reference to "Mexican food" this is "Mama Karen's" recipie and you'll enjoy your rolled tacos while listening to Reggae Music. Fun! culturally diverse? My overall experience was nice, the food was ok, but I'd rather get my taquitos at Miguel's Jr. it's going to be tough at these prices to get me back here at Roll em up. Especially without guacamole. I read in another review you can pay EXTRA for the real stuff??? Whaaaat? Market research, it's important. read more

I really want to like this location because I personally love their food, however, each time I've visited my order is ALWAYS wrong. First time it happens I completely understand mistakes occur and it's probably just a innocent "oops." But the second time, the same thing happens and I don't get the amount of food I paid for. One less taquito when I ordered three is a bit annoying. It's very frustrating because I don't feel the need to inspect my food each time I visit to ensure my order is right, I mean there's other places I order online and my order is correct. I do have to say it was my first time coming here. After contemplating either getting Raising Canes or Roll Em Up Taquitos I finally thought, "Why not?". The beans and rice are great; to be honest I thought they were going to be mediocre, but they both have great seasoning and flavors. As for the taquitos, they have great flavors as well. Kind of disappointed. Stopped in here to try for dinner. I got loaded chicken taquitos with flour tortillas. The place only had a few other people in there at the time, but it took over 10 minutes to get two taquitos. The taquitos I received were soggy and falling apart, not crispy as I expected. The salsa was kind of slopped all over, as well. I love spicy food and I felt the mild was spicy enough on it's own. I think this place could be something really good if the food was cooked longer and presented better. It looked rushed even though there was hardly anybody in the restaurant. It is also a bit expensive for the soggy ones I received today. I am willing to give it a second chance and am hoping it was just an off day. read more

I went through the drive thru and it was a good experience. Good customer service and great transparency. I paid over 17 dollars for 4 taquitos, beans and rice and a drink. My taquitos where skinny with little meat in them and they only tasted pretty good but not great. They weren't crispy at all and to soft and mushy. My beans and rice portions where so small that that alone I would never go back again. I couldn't believe how little that they would accept for that to be ok for what you pay for. Overall the service was great the portions for the price were BAD and the food was pretty good to ok at best. The food and service has hit an all time bad. My order had to be repeated 4 times and again at the window and it still was wrong. The corn on a stick was disgusting, drenched in butter very little flavor and the corn itself was dry. I didn't receive my drink but was charged for one. I will never return. YUM! Thanks to Jessica for answering all our questions; we got to taste a bit of everything on the menu. We went the traditional corn tortilla way and tried the flour tortilla taquitos. We tried chicken, potatoe, and shredded beef. I loved them all! I loved the flour tortillas, much to my surprise. We tried their sauces, a green sauce that was really good, a sauce that tasted a little like a chipotle creamy sauce (this wasn't my favorite) and sour cream (my husbands favorite). We ordered chips and guacamole. Their guacamole was very good. We also had their queso... this was so good with their chips. We decided that in the future, we will order 2 of the 3 taquitos with queso and chips. Green sauce and sour cream on the side. This will be more than satisfying for us. Now, finishing with dessert... they have churro donuts. These are dangerous... I can eat a 1/2 dozen on my own... with a nice cup of coffee in the morning. The employees seem to be more helpful and compromising. I must say, that is a lost art in the $15 minimum wage world. I came here today with my daughter to have lunch because I knew they had recently opened in Corona and who doesn't like taquitos? So here's my opinion: Pros: the place is big, bright, with a colorful wall of art and has plenty of seating. Cons: PLEASE TURN DOWN THE MUSIC!! Owner/manager, you should want your customers to enjoy their meals and conversations, while dining in your establishment. As other reviewers have mentioned, the taquitos were indeed bland. The only saving grace were the sauces, but you need them to cover all your taquitos or sprinkle on some salt to add flavor. The beans and rice were okay, but not worth the $2.98 for each tiny side of them (up the size or lower the price). The churro donut was good, but nothing to get excited about. The food is also overpriced, considering what you're buying...taquitos, beans, rice and corn, which are things you can buy at the market, zhoosh up yourself and have plenty of leftovers.
