Dined with the Rolling Sushi Van at Radiant. Our party of 7 all ordered one or two menu items; Baked Salmon Roll, Baked Lobster Roll, Spicy Tuna Hand Roll, Hot night Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll. Everything was reasonably priced, taste was as expected, service was fantastic: quick and friendly, the truck was clean, table provided utensils and such. Definitely strange pairing with beer but satisfied hunger. If you're looking for quick sushi to satisfy your craving, this is definitely your truck.

    Grossness for $12

Disgusting. Watery. Gas station grade. In fact, I think you will find better sushi at the gas station. And grossly, hideously overpriced. Look at the Spicy Tuna Roll - $12 for this crap. The shrimp tempura roll wasn't any better. some stale fish, overcooked rice and barely any tempura. I would not feed this garbage to my cat. The owners of this place should absolutely be ashamed of themselves for charging people this kind of money for this dumpster level food. I gagged biting into this, especially as the liquid rolled down my lips, and could not finish. Don't waste your money on this place.

Got the baked lobster roll and tuna handroll. They bake the entire roll so beware that the California roll that's it's base, is also baked. It would be better to just bake the lobster only. Price was a bit high for the size. Overall it was decent but I would probably doordash from a brick and mortar.

I'll be honest, it was the cheapest option on the food truck lot at the anime convention I was at that wasn't fisted by a long line or just standard western fast food. AKA the line was the shortest for it. We got the: Rainbow Roll Burrito ($15): -It came out almost instantaneously. I'm not sure if this was good or bad. -Some of the rice was a bit mushy and the distribution of the sushi vinegar in the rice wasn't even. This made some parts of the burrito really sour and very unappealing to eat. We split it amongst 2 people as a snack and it was just okay. If Jogasaki Burrito was on the same lot, I'd opt for them instead.

    Salmon and Rainbow Rolls...yum!

The Rolling Sushi Van came to our elementary school as a food truck vendor for our very first Multicultural Fair. Chris, the owner, was friendly, professional and offered amazing sushi to our students and families! He was on time, very friendly and engaging...and served fresh, delicious sushi throughout the event. He even offered to donate 10% of the proceeds to our school's PTO for having him! How cool is that?!! I would absolutely recommend Chris and his Rolling Sushi Van for any event you'd want friendly service, fantastic sushi, and an overall fun experience! Thank you, Chris!! ~On behalf of Lake Hills Elementary PTO

Quality, fresh sushi from a food truck? Ohh wow, ohh yess! Los Alamitos Din-A-Go-Go. Rolling Sushi doesn't get as much recognition as the other trucks, but I must say, they have some pretty quality sushi. The prices are pretty average but can get a bit expensive if you go with the extensive cut rolls. The guys in the truck are true Japanese fellas that are always smiling and are happy to serve you. Legit sushi from a truck. That's all I have to say. Give them some love since the other SLIDERS and TACO TRUCKS dominate the scene.

This little lobster tasty came out of the van you see. Worthy !

We enjoy hitting up all the better Sushi spots on the coast here in North county SD. So, that being said, Rolling Sushi is good at our standards. To be fair we only had one thing. The Lobster roll. 6 pieces of crab rolls laid on their side and lobster over the top. Considered one of the " popular" things on their menu. It didn't disappoint. It did cost $15 but still, very Decent ! We rode out fat tire bikes all over San Clemente's brewery district and Food trucks but Rolling Sushi was the best.

To help my gal friend out for her essay-writing about food truck culture (Yep. Her recreational studies professor seriously assigned his students to follow FTs.) I gave her a brief tour of her 1st ever rendezvous to a food truck round-up at the Los Al Picnic at the Plaza. Despite this trip what really caught her eye most was this blanched storage van w/ red accents, i.e. Rolling Sushi Van :P. Although I did conform to this "Uhh, I Don't Know About the Sushi Quality from a Van" ideology, & because she was in the mood for COOKED sushi (despite my 'lil persuasion for her to eat it raw), we gave it a try anyway for the Baked Lobster Roll ($10) & Jeena E's recommendation, the Rolling Ball (2 for $3). But like the majority of the Yelpers I was darn gullible & wrong about the sushi. We first obtained these rounded yummies of creamy shredded crab & outstanding use & flavor of tuna, joyfully mixed & rolled up, garnished with delicately yet generous, sesame oil-injected tempura flakes. Unfortunately I found out way too late that it was more penny-worthy if I knew the paper under the Rolling Balls was creatively & amusingly edible (yes, we actually used chopsticks) =/. Additionally, & finally, although I have stronger proclivity towards the raw side over cooked/baked/flambed, I was also unexpectedly wowed at the unbeatable quality, meatiness & flavor of the chunky morsels of lobster (drizzled by eel sauce & "spicy" mayo) atop of 8 bounteous Californian pieces. Unless you're sympathetically allergic to shellfish, I highly recommend the Baked Lobster Roll to those who have that strange fish-rice phobia to take this sushi adventure one baby step at a time =). Yea, we felt good giving away our $13 on incredibly delicious sushi--and free orange cuts--from a van! Heck yea I'm a fan of RSV, and if this blissfully returns to my Los Al turf, I'm gonna bug my friend again to give the Rainbow Roll or Ahi Tuna Cali Roll a GO, & perhaps also bug her to write her experience, say, on Yelp :P.

When I saw this cute little van in the distance practically hidden behind the 5 other full sized trucks I knew what was awaiting me. "Ted! It's the sushi van!! Bill C. loved it!" I love sushi, and I love trucks (vans count too). Since I have recently had plenty of good sushi off of trucks, AND Bill C. really did love this truck, I was very excited to try this cute little sushi van. I was the only person in line for the van. I checked the menu quickly but as soon as I saw the Lobster Roll ($10) I knew that was what I was getting. I love lobster rolls. They are probably my favorite roll. I paid and the nice man in the truck told me it would be a bit of a wait because they make them fresh. That's fine with me. I'm used to my lobster rolls taking a little bit longer (because of all the baking that happens). The wait was about 8 minutes, which was plenty of time to check out the menus on the other trucks. Ted picked up my sushi on the little tray and I immediately started eating. It was a huge roll, even for $10 it was huge. I think there were more than 8 pieces of CA roll underneath the lobster. It was very yummy. I loved the sweet sauce on top. I should have gone back and asked them to add spicy mayo and smelt egg. That's my favorite way to have lobster roll goodness in my mouth. But even without those additions this was still a very delicious roll. And I appreciated that I didn't see any lone scallops pretending to be lobster to fill up the space. Three cheers for sushi on the go! Fresh sushi, Fast sushi, F-ing Good Sushi!

Wow----- You can get great sushi from a truck, and not even a grown-up truck, just a wee little van. But it isn't just about size, it's about intensity; and I had an intensely awesome Lobster Roll today. When I ordered, they told me 10 minutes, which makes sense as they are baked to order. And when it wasn't ready after about 10, they offered me and another customer bowls of miso soup to make the delay less painful. The soup was awesome, very flavorful with just a little green onion, and the Baked Lobster Roll kicked butt and took names. The cut was thick, the lobster was plentiful and it was heated perfectly. This is exactly how I would make it for myself if I knew what the heck I was doing. As an aside, I think this was the 1st Mercedes of the 76 trucks (so far) I have reviewed. don't worry, they aren't douchebags though, and they only took up one parking space. I love this truck "Gourmet Food Truck #76 on my never-ending quest to try every truck in So Cal" .

Ummm if there's no one at a food truck half way during lunch, there's probably a good reason! If you order and it's ready less than 30 seconds later, probably not freshly made. This is disgusting.

Came here for OC Din Din a Go-Go. So much fun! Delicious California Rolls and Edamame. I would have liked to try more but my guy were sampling the offerings of other trucks, and I was stuffed! One CA Roll (8 pieces) and Edamame order was $5. Not too bad.

Omg so upset we took so long to try. I went after work and messaged thru instagram to find out where he was located. In the bend behind where you usually see him. I came on a Wednesday after work; I (and presumably others) was getting food on the way from work to eat at home. Otherwise if you want to eat here, your car is the ambiance and dining area. I got a burrito and some consomme, plus a quesadilla for the next day. The burrito was *packed* with beef and tasted super pleasantly meaty. I think I counted like six beans total and a bite of rice otherwise, pleasantly surprised by the filling ratios. Salsas were tasty and pleasantly spicy, consommé was flavorful and just oily enough. If you take something home I highly recommend crisping it up in a pan before inhaling. I was in and out in about 15 minutes with no line. Two huge freshly made items plus a medium consommé (which is about the size of a medium soft drink) was about $30. When it gets busy you'd probably be better off calling in an order and picking it up. I'm looking forward to the quesadilla for dinner later on, and I'll definitely be back.

We have had The Burnt Truck's food before and really enjoyed everything we ate so I was excited to see that they had a catering option. I reached out to The Burnt Truck a couple months before our daughter's party to get more information on how their catering would work for a private event. Minh immediately got back to me with menu options and pricing. We reserved the date, made our deposit, and they took care of the rest! We had around 60-70 guests and each person got to choose from four sandwich options (cheeseburger slider, friend chicken slider, mozzarella slider, or PB&J slider) as well as their choice of fries or tots. The standard time slot for private events is 2 hours of food service, but since our party was longer than that, we opted to pay for an extra 2 hours of time. In the end it worked out perfectly because our party was on the smaller side and our guests were able to get food at the start of the party, then go back and order seconds later on before the party was over. Thank you to Minh and team, the food was excellent and our guests were 100% satisfied! I would definitely recommend The Burnt Truck for easy, stress-free catering!

I imagine when they're really busy it can take quite awhile though. I only saw two people working, a cook and a cashier who helped the cook in between orders. We tried: Short rib tacos: really good. The sauce and the slaw taste great together. It was easy to see why this made them famous. Pork taco: I actually liked this more than the short rib. Flavor wise, probably one of the best pork tacos I've ever had. Short rib sliders: very similar to the taco but we preferred the taco. The slider was a bit too much bread and took away from the other flavors. Prices are fair for specialty tacos but their size isn't bigger than a regular $1 taco truck. So even with eating 2 tacos and 1 slider I still felt a little hungry. You won't be disappointed if you order too much.
