This was the moldy bread that was given to us.

The pizza and spaghetti were just okay, but the bread that was given as a side to the spaghetti was moldy and it was not worth having to drive back to replace it.

Left: a quarter of a cheese calzone. Right: slice of white pizza (no red sauce) with fresh roma tomatoes, basil, and ricotta.

Our third vacation in the area and the Roma Pizza never disappoints. Something as simple as a slice of cheese pizza is Italian art. Best enjoyed at the restaurant on their patio but is still awesome as carry out back to a rental house. Sterling service in the front and blessed Italian hands tossing dough in the back elevate mere pizza to "must have" status. Do not overlook the non-pizza items like calzones and subs.

The perfect beach pizza joint! The whole place smells amazing as soon as you walk in. The staff is extremely (and genuinely) friendly and the pizza comes out quickly. The pizzas have generous amounts of toppings and the best pizza sauce I've ever tasted. Outdoor seating is just icing on the cake. After the meal, I decided to try the tiramisu... not the best tiramisu, but I would not in the slightest let that keep you from trying this incredible local restaurant!

If you've never been to the Crystal Coast region of NC for the beach and you're accustomed to how things operate in NJ or MD this is like another planet. Not a lot of nearby dining options and things even in season are very slow which means that no one keeps late hours. We were staying in Pine Knoll Shores and wanted pizza. GrubHub has nothing. Door Dash has a few limited options but most of them are coming from over in Morehead City which equals longer waits and higher fees. No thanks. Door Dash referenced Roma as an option but said that delivery was not possible since it was too close to their closing time. Mind you it was only 8:20. I called the store and they had no problem taking the order. Fifteen minutes later, I'm there and everything is ready. Surreal that the lights are off on the dining room side and everyone is waiting on me so that they can close up for the night at 9. I hate to harp but I'm just so use to pizza places in beach towns staying open in season until at least until 11 if not several hours later. I digress. Why the two star knock off? This pizza lacked a lot of flavor and to me tasted like the epitome of "A-OK". While it certainly wasn't bad, it's also not worth $15. It truly is no different from the local place I frequent at home which is selling two similar eight slice larges for $18. I get it that it's beach pricing but still, too much. The one noteworthy addition to my experience when I picked up the food was the great conversation I had with the two women working. Very hospitable to take the time to explain some things about the area and how things have gone since Hurricane Florence. They were were first rate. Friendly and efficient at Roma no doubt but the pizza was very average and the prices are on the high side which to me puts it right at three stars.

Pepperoni, sausage, double onion, mushroom, green pepper --- Roma Special (minus olives). DELICIOUS!!!

This is our second time here (once last fall) and now today for pickup. This is FANTASTIC pizza and the staff are SUPER friendly. We had the Roma special today and it was soooo fresh and perfectly baked. The crust is just the right thick/thinness for the high quality toppings. Thus far, this is THE best pizza in the area.

Tried this place tonight on a whim. The food was good. The service was good too. My wife and I had pizza. The crust is a medium crust and chewy. The cheese was too quality and stringy. The restrooms where closed which I thought was really odd even under these crazy restrictions by the state. I've never been in a restaurant that closed off the restrooms. The staffed checked on us several times and were very friendly. We will definitely return when in the area.

Great pizza. Definitely worth a stop. Crust is thinner but is well balanced with the toppings. The crust is just the right crunch vs chewy.

The wait around 6 on a Sunday night really wasn't too bad, I think about 30 minutes, for 3 pizzas and 2 orders of wings. We got (3) large (18") pizzas, one cheese, one meat lovers and one peperoni, and then (2) orders of their buffalo wings. The food was ready when we got there, and overall, was pretty good. The crust was a bit doughy, and and real flavorful on it's own, but as far as toppings, they loaded it up, and with the sauce, toppings and cheese, it was decent pizza for the price. The wings were also decent, a fair split of drums and flats, and a good flavor to the buffalo sauce. There was more than enough food for 7 adults, and even some left over to snack on for the remaining days. Pricing was fair, staff friendly on the phone and when we picked up. I'd go back.

In my…read moreexperience, finding good seafood restaurants in and around Atlantic Beach (even including Morehead City - where there are a dwindling few) can be surprisingly difficult, especially compared to the pelagic bounty of most coastal Carolina towns. Bahia has probably the best food I've had from any of the current crop of Atlantic Beach places. Every dish I've tried so far has been excellent. One in particular needs to be highlighted. The crab dip is possibly the best I've ever eaten, anywhere. You need to try it. Pro tip: Be prepared for the generous amount of butter and oil in and on the food -- it adds to the richness and is definitely a good thing, but you'll want to be careful if you're planning on performing microsurgery or wiping your eyeglasses. There is unobtrusive but good quality live music, which is always a plus (and seems more well-considered than the solo guitar dudes repeatedly playing "Free Fallin" at the neighboring restaurants and bars). The air conditioning indoors does a heroic job of keeping the restaurant a relatively nice temperature, as well.

We were here around 9:30 on a Saturday and waited about 40 minutes, but that flew by because we were able to go sit in their coffee/mimosa bar area and wait to be paged. The vibes in both spaces are pretty classic beach diner. It's a relaxed but busy atmosphere. Our waiter was super attentive and kind and we didn't feel rushed despite how busy they were. I had the Land and Sea Benedict, which comes on a giant biscuit and has fried green tomatoes, eggs done your way, shrimp, Cajun gravy, and bacon crumbles. I am particular about biscuits and this one was excellent (soft without being doughy, appropriately crumbly without falling apart). The tomatoes were super crispy without being overly greasy. My over-easy eggs were perfect, as were the shrimp, and the gravy was excellent. The grits I had with it really lived up to their reputation of being smooth and creamy, with no need for butter. My mom had the "Kitchen Sink" omelet, and very much enjoyed it. The ingredients were fresh and nothing was over or under done, which can be hard with such a variety of ingredients. The home fries that came with it were terrifically crispy. I also appreciate that they make their own hot sauce, as well as the mix for their Bloody Mary (which my mom also loved) I enjoyed my peach mimosa and got a kick out of all of the different flavor options. I'd love to explore their lunch menu too. I'll definitely frequent again next time I'm out this way!
