My car dashboard flashed an intermittent warning about the engine overheating and then went into a "limp mode", alternating normal rpms with very low rpms to cool the engine. No "check engine " light appeared, nor were the temperature and oil gauges abnormal. I added a small amount of coolant, did not drive it for a day and brought it to Ramoma Tire at 31955 Via Rio in Temecula. RJ, the Ass't Mgr suggested a scan tool diagnosis for $99.99. I agreed. He reported that my car needed a new electric water pump costing $1409, but never showed me the diagnostic report. I declined. The next day I had a different mechanic come to my house with a scan tool and laptop to do a diagnosis on my car. The results were that my water pump was fine and he proved it by opening the coolant cap and showing me the coolant actually being pumped. His report showed no mechanical problems. It is truly pathetic that RJ at Ramona Tire created a lie that the car needed an expensive repair rather than say the truth. If he had said that the diagnostic failed to find anything wrong and maybe it was temporarily low on coolant, I would said the $99.99 fee was worth the peace of mind. But he didn't, he chose to lie. I emailed RJ and asked him for a refund of my $99.99. First, now I question if he even did a diagnostic evaluation? Second, it is outrageous that he would create a expensive repair that was 100% unnecessary figuring that a senior citizen/veteran would accept his conclusion after already spending $99.99. RJ has not responded after telling him I would write a negative YELP review if he did not refund my money. I would recommend tire and auto service shoppers to avoid this place of business. read more

I went in needing oil change, two tires and alignment. Left with major coolant leak that was not there when I went in. Haven't had a need to add coolant to vehicle in over a year and when I left Ramona tires, I went through an entire bottle of coolant in two days. They stated they did not touch anything. At first said they charged the coolant lines but a day later when I told them about the leak say they did not charge the coolant line. read more

Brought my car in at 8:30am for oil change, tire rotation, and AC check. Expected to leave it for a few hours. I called at 3:30pm. They told me they had to check on the progress and would call me back. They never did. I went to the store at 4:00pm to find out they hadn't even performed ANY of the three services I requested. They couldn't do the AC service because apparently only my car's dealer can do it. No communication on that in 7 hours. No work performed in 7 hours! They did offer to take care of the service, but I'm not confident they get it done in a timely manner. I will NEVER return with any of my cars. read more

Had one of my worst experiences at this place. Took my impala in to get checked out because of a leak. Paid 700+ dollars to get a new power steering pump, belt oh and an A/C inspection which cost $110. Mind you I've never had engine problems before taking it to this place. I take good care of my car and keep the maintenance up on it because I commute to San Diego everyday for work. Well I took it in to this place and after they did the maintenance to it my engine light just won't ever turn off. They tried offering good service by asking me to bring it back multiple times which I did but each time the check engine light would come on ten minutes after driving it.... The last attempt of them trying to fix the issue they tried to charge me 450+ dollars to repair it. Once I said I'm leaving to go else where they waived the cost because they knew they were wrong. Well as soon as I got my car back the engine light came back on... imagine if I had paid another 450+ dollars they were asking for to get the engine light addressed... these guys simply are in it for the money and not looking to actually do good work. I won't be doing business here anymore they simply are not aware of what's wrong with the car... Long story short I paid 700+ dollars, and they tried to charge me another 450+ dollars to fix the issue they made to still have my check engine light on. Don't do business with Scott Hence dude made a sale and bailed... never saw this guy again after he charged me. Poor business practice, not professional, and they're not good mechanics Update: Got a call from these guys after post my original review. The manager wanted to "do the right thing by me" he showed amazing customer service but again right when I I got car back my check engine light was back on in seconds. Again the customer service these guys showed was great wouldn't recommend scottbut at the end of the day still have a check engine light on and plan on taking it to another mechanic. 6 month update 1/11/2020: 6 months later still have a leak in my power steering and same issues came back. This was my first time visiting this location. Came in for an oil change that was scheduled at 1:30pm. I was greeted by Nader, who took care of me the entire time. My service did take longer than expected and I had two impatient kiddos with me. Nader took it upon himself to interact with my little ones with a few rounds of "rock,paper, scissors". They absolutely loved it ( also kept talking about it on the way home). The service here is great, they communicate with their customers, don't take advantage , and pricing is fair. SHOUTOUT TO NADER! I brought my car in for some new tires and an alignment. Nader was super friendly and incredibly helpful even after dealing with other rude customers ahead of me. When I returned to pick up my car, he informed me that the tires I was quoted a price for where not in stock and he only had a set of $90 tires. Rather than stick me with the higher priced tires, he gave me the tires at the original quoted price. His dedication to customer service and return business is something other tire shops only hope to achieve. As a first time customer he has definitely earned my long term business. I have no clue what the other reviewers are talking about, this shop is great at what they do and only do what the customer requests, nothing more. No hidden charges here. read more

This is the third time I've been here for an oil change. Every time there I have been told that extra work is needed (brakes, timing belt, etc.). I went there yesterday and was told I needed new brakes and a timing belt. I had my suspicions, so I opted out. They did not email me back within 24 hours and when I called, they quoted me approximately $30 more than the online quote which I printed out and had in hand. unprofessional, don't honor your appointment time I made an appointment with them. I paid for my service upfront. I told them I was on a strict schedule and confirm that they would absolutely be doing the appointment at that time that I would be waiting and they said no problem it would be done immediately. I called back to confirm that that would happen as well and once again they confirmed it would happen. I got my appointment only getting two tires put on. I waited an hour and a half and they hadn't touched my vehicle no disrespectful and completely oblivious to what an appointment is or means I requested a refund and I left and I would not recommend this company to anybody because this is happened before which is why I confirmed it multiple times before I arrived so clearly this is attacked up there to get people in the door, and keep them there even when they don't have time to work on the vehicles ALSO; went to Walmart down the street got the same tires and better service for $200 less for two tires so four tires would be at least $400 less! read more

I made an appointment for an oil change, arrived on time, and an hour and a half later they had not even begun to service my car. I asked the service desk the point of making an appointment if i was going to be kept waiting, he responded it was the only way to ensure service on that day. Came back like an 1:15 later and my car was not even touch yet, they said it would be another hour. No apologies or reason why. My boyfriend and I were in this shop the other day. Tuesday, November 1st, 2022. We initially came in for an alignment and rotation but ended up buying tires. I guess the mechanic found more wrong with the car which also included brakes or brake pads(?). (Please forgive me as I do not know car jargon). We decided to take his advice and have our vehicle serviced. I had no idea how bad of shape my car was. When I drove it home from the shop, it drove like butter. I am not kidding! I am giving this place 5 stars because we are thankful to our mechanic who was very busy with another car. However, we were not happy with the front store service. He should not have disciplined the poor guy for not getting to our car yet. We could hear very clearly as he was being chastised and ordered to stop working on another customer's car because we were there waiting. All the manager had to do, was come and let us know a realistic time frame. We would have gladly waited or come back at a later time. When we heard this, it was very upsetting because we felt as if we were given a specific timeframe so that manager could make a sale. At that point, we felt like mere dollar signs to the sales manager, at the stressful expense and poor treatment of his employees. Most people are understanding when they have to wait. I would rather wait the allotted time given than go mechanic shopping, which would have taken more time. Most people think "I'm already here, let's get it done". We live in a world where mistreatment is noticed and not okay. Silent quitting is also trending right now because employees have had enough and customers are also willing to stand up for them. Highly recommend this tire shop. They are super professional. All workers provided great customer service. I was in a bind and needed a quick patch so I could get to work and I wasn't going to drive on a donut down the freeway with my baby in the car and three other tire shops had giving me 3 to 5 hour wait times for a patch. The assistant manager Nader Shahin and his team were life savers and I will be getting new tires from them this week. I took my Yukon in on 7/6/2021 and had the worst service. After they had my vehicle for 3-4 hours and I called to see how it was going. The guy told me that they broke off the drain plug head for my oil pan. And that I would have to get it fixed before they would be able to get my oil changed. Then when I went to pick up my vehicle they put 4 quarts of oil in before I left saying they didn't want me to run out of oil when I was told it wasn't leaking. Now I am fighting with them to fix it. They want me to pay for the labor to fix it and they will pay for the pan. They are saying pretty much that it is partly my fault because my vehicle is old. I don't see this being in any way shape or form my fault. They didn't call me to say my plug was on too tight and it might break off if the proceed. So how's it my fault. I recently switched my aftermarket wheels back to my stock wheels, and after this, the TPMS sensors were not communicating with my car. After BMW quoted me $2200 to replace a tire due to a "tire leak" and "4 bad TPMS sensors" I decided to do some research. I normally go to America's Tire for my wheel concerns, but they referred me to Ramona Tire because I was told they are able to help with BMW TPMS sensors. Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly staff and they educated me well on the services that I needed. They informed me that the "tire leak" was cause by a manufacture sticker and the tire did not need to be replaced. This saved me $300-$400. My next issue was my sensors. I was told that there was nothing wrong with my sensors by their sister shop in San Diego, Evan's Tire. So I asked the staff at Ramona if they can swap over my previous sensors to the stock wheels since those were the sensors the car recognized. They couldn't guarantee that it would work but we tried it anyway. After some hours, it was a success!! Nader and his team: Joey, Robert, and Danny were able to solve all my issues only for $87!!! I definitely recommend going here. They don't try to sell you on any services and they educate you thoroughly so you know what is happening with your car and what you're paying for. Each time I've come away impressed by this locations consistent and attentive customer service. Service attendants are always polite, helpful and give reliable recommendations, which is pretty rare anymore. But they definitely push all the extras you can add on to your service not just one time like 3 times. Annoying, more over they didn't even clean my tires!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! Worst experience and total time suck. The previous manager, Saul, ran the place like a well oiled machine. The new management (yes, Saul no longer here) doesn't seem to mind if everyone goes to lunch and leaves the cars on racks for an hour. I was told a tire rotation would be 1.5-2hrs. No problem, I can wait. I look up 1hr later and only some young guy in shop trying to look busy. I'm pretty sure he is a trainee but no one around to train him. The two dudes behind the desk could care less if no one was working on cars. Saul would have been in the shop training the young apprentice - not these guys. Going on 2.5hrs and car is STILL in parking lot. I'd leave, but I'm supposedly "next". read more

Horrible Service or I guess in my case no service ~ Had our car for 2 full days and hadn't even started working on it. My son was visiting from Arizona for the 4th of July and his AC went out. Took the car in on Friday morning before 10 a.m. to have it looked at. Received a call late afternoon on Friday saying they would need to keep until Saturday to do some more checking. (Hind sight just buying them time) Received a call Saturday morning saying they would need to replace the compressor and the condenser (The car is a 2020) (After checking with a service manager of a major car dealer was told the chance of both going out at same time was highly unlikely) So assuming they were trying to upsell things. We asked for them to only replace the condenser and they said they could get the part and have it done on Saturday. Called Saturday at about 3:30 to check the status and they said they would need probably up until 5:00 to finish it. I mentioned several times in conversation that we would need the car back on Saturday as he was heading back to AZ on Sunday. We got to the tire shop just a bit before closing on Saturday and they hadn't even started working on it. Several people in the waiting room waiting at closing time for their vehicles. One man was picking up his car from getting aligned and they hadn't even worked on it. The only excuse they had was they were busy. Common Courtesy would have been really nice ~ If you don't have time don't accept the car. Totally could have took it else where to get fixed but instead he is driving back to AZ today with a dog and no air conditioning. Horrible Service!! Please do your due diligence before leaving your car with Ramona Tire, there are several other auto places in Temecula that will actually provide you with service. read more

Nader and his team are amazing! After struggling with Fords fleet services for our companies fleet maintenance we finally decided to move shops. They are always fast and will always steer you right. gone are the Ford techs trying to sell me break pads for a vehicle who had them replaced the day before. I recently had a vehicle who's transmission was slipping. They diagnosed it then, called ford to check on warranties. Being honest, they let me know I'd be better taking it to Ford as it was covered under the warranty and would only cost me $100 copay through them. Since they were busy, they kept the tire, repaired it, returned it the next business day and repaired it at no cost as a courtesy. I ended up with a flat tire on a Sunday morning and this was the only place open. They patched my tire and left it completely greasy so of course I drive it to the car wash where before they took my car back to get washed they pointed out that the wheel had a few scratch marks on if. I brought it to the attention of stamina tires and of course the manager tried to say that it must have been the car wash that scratched it although I repeated to him that my wheel was not scratched before I brought it in and the car wash pointed it out before they took possession of it.
