My husband and I stumbled across this place because we had time to kill. We love it. It's sort of a neighborhood find. It's very comfortable inside - sort of a New York motif like Carmine's II but much smaller. The prices are also very reasonable for the location - which we LOVE, of course. Okay, this isn't the cuisine you're going to get at the Peninsula. Since it's on Little Santa Monica it isn't the prices you're going to get at a Denny's in Redlands. But having typed that I can't think of anyplace you're going to get out with something under $13 (with tip) at any place in that zip code, and Roni's offers you a lot of great choices in that price range. I've had a few items in a bunch of visits that included lunch items like the fish & chips with their great tartar sauce and breakfasts such as the chili omelet. I've never left less than sated or less than satisfied, I'm looking forward to exploring their menu further. read more

Best, best, best pizza ever! Crispy, thin but not too thin crust, delicious flavor! I like the Margherita with extra basil and garlic. I was waiting for my pizza and saw their Joseph's buffalo chicken salad. I ordered it and it is heaven!! I am taking the rest home to share with my family. Received delivery from them. I got the chicken Parmesan and my boyfriend got some type of sandwich. The sandwich was alright but honestly not worth your money, tastes like something you can get from a grocery store-skip it and head over to Ike's. The chicken Parmesan is awful. It's saltier than frozen food; it tastes like a entire container of salt was added into it. The chicken at least looks like chicken... But it's not crispy and drenched in the watery salty marinara sauce. Overall avoid this place. You're in Beverly Hills, you can find wayyyyyy better food here on Yelp! read more

I've eaten at Roni's 3 or 4 times. I'm not sure why I ever went back because it's always just...meh. The menu looks enticing but the actual food product is, well...meh. I've eaten there for breakfast, lunch and dinner, dine-in and delivery. Today was the last time I will frequent it which is sad because it's a cute little place. I ordered the Rancho Chicken Sandwich for delivery (primarily because I was starving and it said they would deliver between 30-40 minutes). Over an hour later, I finally received the sandwich and could barely eat it. The chicken was overcooked. The bun was so soggy I had to take the bottom off. The tomato was mushy and the iceberg lettuce? Brown. If you're going to offer an option of adding a sauce, at least be smart enough to put it on the side. Also, the "fruit" bowl side was melon with a few apple chunks which is less than I would expect from a Denny's. Really disappointing and unfortunately, I will just never go back now. read more

I remember going here when I was an intern around the corner 8 years ago.... it's still great! It has a perfect American menu, so there's always something to try or crave. The owner is super nice and accommodating. I work nearby so I always take new hires here or order to-go for lunch if I'm in a bind. Definitely reccommend. read more

Though I usually eat very healthfully, when I went to Ronnie's, I had the chocolate chip pancakes. The service was very good and they had three TVs which was another plus. I was extremely surprised at the portions and my chocolate chip pancakes were to die for. Very kid-friendly and the owner of the restaurant was in the movie, "Don't Mess With the Zohan." Firstly, I'd like to say that the waitress who served us was super friendly and lovely and this review by no means is a reflection of her service. Now...we went there on Sunday for lunch, I ordered the chicken kabobs and my husband ordered the chicken teriyaki. We were informed that the kabobs would take extra time to prepare but we were willing to wait so it was no problem until the food actually came out around 30 mins later - disappointed much - the kabobs were sad looking skewers with pre-cooked/grilled chicken pieces and a combination of uncooked onion, peppers and assorted frozen squash, topped off with a few old mushrooms. The meat was cooked fresh, the onion and peppers were raw and crunchy, the squash had that frozen packaged vegetable texture, I don't understand the delay. My husband's meal was spectacularly bad as well. It was piled high with frozen vegetables and the chicken was sparse and drenched in bottled teriyaki sauce. Was staying at the Beverly Hills Hilton, looking for a reasonably priced resturant within walking distance to grab lunch - (as we found the hotel prices "out of sight")... Fortunately, the concierge had a map on which several were listed ... one of which was Roni's. I had the pastrami on rye, MDW had the chicken breast sandwich - both were excellent - as was our service by Nichole. The followng morning we returned for breakfast. I had the meat lovers omelette, my wife had the breakfast burito. We each had coffee. The bill came to 21.89 - and the food was delicious. YES the sweet potato fries were OUTSTANDING! I do not understand how this place survives. It's overpriced for food that is clearly prepared with minimal effort, and no one is ever really in here. I wanted to like this place. It's nice on the inside, good location, and it has a big menu. However, the food was not up to par. I came for breakfast and had one of their breakfast combos. The pancakes were clearly made from boxed batter. While disappointing, this would have been more tolerable if they at least were made correctly and weren't so dense and difficult to cut, and perhaps were fluffy. The scrambled eggs were hard to swallow... they were so runny... and mealy... how do eggs become mealy I wonder? I won't be returning. read more

I took the wife to see Les Mis at the iMAX and looked on here for a good breakfast place in walking distance from Westfield, and decided to try this place. The food was OK. I just had the regular breakfast, and she had the Cabo, which was innovative and she liked a lot. Now for the service. A very efficient young lady was trying to do everything, while a big lunk whom I took to be the owner was sitting on his butt watching football. He wouldn't even answer the phone, which was next to him, to take an order, or do the cashiering. She had to juggle plates and let someone's food get cold. I left her a good tip for her efforts, but won't go back there. He never even got up to ask about our experience. Like others have said, this place is great. It's local, no hype, no bullshit, great food, great service, great atmosphere. My friend had the burger, he said it was one of the best he's ever had. i had the pasta with salmon and asparagus in a vodka sauce with several glasses of the well priced pinot grigio. Real value for money as opposed to the normal BH over priced attitude driven nonsense that this town thinks passes for quality. the owner Roni ( and his cute dog) and his son David are on premises, making sure everything is right. Skip this place. Zero service after delivering the food until I asked for the bill. A simple salmon, rice, and veggies plate should be fairly simple for a competent chef. Salmon was dry and scorched, rice was clumped, but the veggies were done and hot. read more

After reading numerous glowing reviews I finally made it over to Roni's a few weeks back. I was not disappointed. The first visit was a quiet Tuesday evening for dinner. As reported, the service was friendly and welcoming and the food was solid. I had the Chicken Tetrazzini which was very good and my friend had the Chicken Marsala which she liked as well. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the fresh garlic knots which were brought to the table before the entrees arrived. They were delicious! My second visit was for brunch and it was excellent. The fresh squeezed orange juice was outstanding and the french toast first rate. My friends' sandwiches came out great as well. The prices are more than reasonable and I love their outdoor tables along the sidewalk. The beautiful Peninsula Hotel is directly across the street and aside from the usual Beverly Hills speed demons racing down Little Santa Monica Blvd it is a wholly pleasurable experience to sit outside and enjoy the sun. They are also open until 11pm every night except Sunday. They have plasma TVs if you want to watch the game and that lends itself to the casual and welcoming feeling of the place. It is obviously a family operation and I love that. There are precious few of them left these days! read more

Ronis Diner is a delightful little place nestled in the heart of BHs where it's one of my favorite places to go to relax and enjoy the great food with a bit of nostalgic atmosphere to boot! We have our little corner table that we grab every time as seating is your choice either inside or out. There is lots of variety to choose from on their breakfast, lunch and dinner menus with TVs on the walls if you like to get a game or news in with your meal. The people are wonderful and service is always excellent. They also cater and deliver. Dave is ever so kind in helping plan the menu to fit my budget and make suggestions. The food is always top quality, hot, on time and in very generous portions. Everyone always ask, "who catered?-this is delicious!" I've had the food here several times via catering and it is always horrible. I want to say the lowest quality. For example the chicken is so right out of a box of 100 frozen chicken tenders. And the Pizza - these guys have a pizza delivery truck!!! But the pizza is the worst. And the salad is out of a bag!! Why would anyone pay to eat here? Ive eaten at Roni's a couple of times and the food wasnt that good. The first time I ordered the south by south west. The chicken was not fresh and the corn smelled rotten. You'll see other people have complained about this salad too. The second time I ordered the same thing thinking it was just an off day but unfortunately it was just as bad. This time the tomatoes were literally spoiled. So I decided to inform the manager since it happened twice. David was a total jerk. Zero customer service. He said he didnt believe me and got hostile. Most managers would be happy I brought this to their attention so they could improve on quality. But David was rude and insulting. Dont waste your money. So many other restaurants in beverly Hills that have great food and great customer service. Urth Caffe has the nicest people and fresh food. I'm always looking for new breakfast delivery places in/near Beverly Hills. I've used grubhub to order from multiple local restaurants yet I keep coming back to Roni's. It's consistently good and the delivery guy is always prompt and friendly. I've never actually been to the physical location, so I can only comment on what it's like to have a tasty, warm breakfast delivered on a lazy weekend morning. I'm a big fan of the "2x2 Self Discipline Protein Combo"--probably because it tastes so good, it doesn't feel like I'm being disciplined. The eggs arrive moist and warm and the chicken, feta and avocado are an unexpected yet delicious combination. The hashbrowns aren't particularly noteworthy, so the eggs are the real star. The lattes from Roni's are pretty solid, too. One morning, I ran out of coffee at home and reluctantly had a latte delivered from Roni's along with breakfast. I took a risk, as it seemed like having coffee delivered would surely be a disappointment (poor quality, cold, spilled...) but no! My latte arrived hot, yummy and well wrapped to prevent spilling during delivery. This is definitely the best BH breakfast delivery available on grubhub. read more

I have never received worse customer service. Did the owner really call me a liar? They send us a burger instead of the rancher sandwich & tell me i must be mistaken because the rancher comes on a burger bun. I know full and well what a hamburger patty looks like. I call back & the lady was really sweet. She said they would send the correct item. The driver (The sweetest guy EVER) get here and doesn't have the correct item. He was sent back to check the sandwich to see if we were lying. We showed him the sandwich which my co worker started eating since her lunch was almost over. I called back & the owner agreed to credit back the credit card and send the new sandwich. The driver returns with the new sandwich and states that he was told to get the incorrect sandwich back. Well that was in the trash as my co workers was off lunch (mind you... she clocked out as soon as the FIRST order arrived... we have a 1 hour lunches). The driver said he couldn't give us the new sandwich without getting the incorrect one back. We called back & the sweet little lady from before wasn't as sweet as the first time. She acknowledged on the first call that she knew the order had been done incorrectly. Upon calling her back to clarify the new sandwich fiasco she asked my co worker to dig thru the trash to get the sandwich out to send back. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This is absurd and very unheard of. We love Roni's food but unfortunately will be taking our business else where. The owner acted like he never stated he would credit the credit card and send the new sandwich so it looks like they are the TRUE liars. If the sandwich was sent the first time like promised I wouldn't be making this review but I have a hard time knowing someone could be so outrageous to one of their customers. Ill save myself the trouble in the future and just go to Urth Cafe. read more
