We had a leak going above our water heater where it connects back into the water supply. Shortly after my call (around 8 pm) the owner showed up. He quickly identified that the parts used to connect the water heater were newer to the market, and break down easily. He's actually had his people stop using them awhile ago for this reason. Bryon (the manager ) came out to fix a leaky outside pipe ( another plumber hadn't reliably fixed same pipe less than 4 months previous) Bryan fixed it in less than 1/2 hour, and he gave me 2 references for local indoor contractors for a bathroom renovation... A guy named Brian came out to check our plumbing cause the septic was acting up. He checked a few things then noticed the breaker had tripped the pump off. He graciously turned it back on, much to our chagrin and was very helpful and knowledgable about all the other questions we had for him. We live in a very tiny house with two children and we would have been unable to use any water in the house, which would have been intolerable (even though it was an easy fix we had no idea). Brian was personable and we would have him come back for any other plumbing problems in the future. finding a good plumber is like finding a good car that never breaks down, you keep it. the nicest part is he didn't charge us for our own ignorance in not being aware our pump had tripped a breaker. classy move and we are grateful to Brian and Rooter man. read more

We are so disappointed and appalled for what they charged us for the work they did. Yes, they did come out right away. Yes, they did fix the simple issue. My husband, retired from being in construction at one time knew it wasn't a complicated issue but needed to get it done as soon as possible for our tenants. The leak was outside, not far from the main. The water dept came out and found the leak. The pipe was 12-18 inches underground and he took LESS THAN AN HOUR from start to finish. He wanted to charge us $1200. for this job. My husband stated how fast and easy this job was and said he lower the charge to $1000.00. My husband was shocked at this price for the work done, but he had already done the work, so he paid him. My husband then called and asked to speak to the owner to explain the job. We could see charging us $500.-$600. but $1000-$1200? Wow, OUTRAGOUS! My husband spoke to the owner, he was cold and said "that's what we charge". So, please be forewarned. Rooter-Man is a WAY overpriced. Shop around people, you can do better than this. We will NEVER use them again and advise others to look elsewhere for your plumbing needs. read more

I do not recommend Rooter-Man. Their estimate was 2-3x local competitors. When I started asking questions they backed out of the job. They put incorrect part numbers on the invoice to avoid any kind of research and then I came to find out they were suggesting a more expensive pump than necessary that was not even a match for what the septic system required. This could have cause huge damages! This was either professional incompetence or price gouging or both. read more

When you have a plumbing problem, you want rapid response, and honesty! When the kitchen sink in our 1920's-vintage house backed up (again), I begged my MacGyver-contractor-husband to PLEASE let a plumber fix it this time, instead of spending the weekend under the sink and in the backyard, cursing, renting a snake, replacing pipes, and running back and forth to Home Depot. He normally distrusts these types of businesses, and wants to do it himself rather than hire "some Yay-hoo with a snake" (his words). I convinced him to call his favorite plumbing subcontractor, who immediately referred him to Rooter Man, recommending them as professional, trustworthy, honest, expert and reliable. They responded to the call and were at our house quickly. They achieved a total clean-out of our drain, and I have no doubt that we won't have another sink back-up for another 50 years now! I had an episodic plumping 'clog' affecting only one area of 1 bathroom in a 2 building tri-plex. I needed a sleuth. Finding an uber-plumber can be an expensive and nail biting endeavour. I made many calls inquiring about appointments and pricing. Hollis answered and was cheerful, clear, can do and super timely. Nick with R.M. showed up on time. He was communicative, polite and had excellent boundries letting me know he needed to do this this and that to see what was going on and then we could pow-wow. Long story short, he was creative, he got things moving quickly and then the ghost busting commenced. He worked out how the entire system ran from each bathroom to the septic system and TA-Da! Tony Morales came out and spent enough time to diagnose the real problem (which was horrible) and then fixed it (which I'm sure was yucky.)
