    Friendly workers.

SAME DAY SERVICE AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. Recently, I had a blockage caused by roots in my septic distribution box. Too dense for me to clear and make the repair. I considered renting an electric eel rooter. But these machines are about $100 for a day rental, and given my drain placement, it needed 2 people to operate it into the pipe. Also, I watched YouTube videos about people getting these cables stuck in a pipe or (worse) mangling their fingers when the cable twists. So I decided to hire professionals. I never used Rooterman services before but I called them at 9 AM on a Friday and they had two trucks at my house by 11 AM (very good.) The workers knew what they were doing and had a large, powerful eel machine. They were upfront with a fixed price for clearing two lines (+$300 pretty reasonable quick service.) They spent about ninety minutes working and removing dense mud and packed roots from the lines and got the water flowing again, making a successful repair. Very nice cooperative workers. I'd hire them again.

I am a Realtor in Sonoma County and frequently call Rooter-Man for sewer lateral inspections and other services. However on November 4, 2022 I called for a very special reason...in the early morning hours we discovered that two of our kitties were trapped in 6" pipe in a storm drain. We could hear the mournful cries coming from somewhere in over 100' of drainage lines. Pending weather called for rain and they surely would not make it. I remembered that Tony at Rooter-Man had a special camera to find cracks in sewer lines and reached out to him at 6:00 AM via text. He immediately responded and had his son, Michael Morales arrive first thing in the morning. This type of service is rarely experienced but Michael and his crew took it to the next level. After Michael identified where one of the kitties was stuck, we had our landscapers start digging up over 5' of dirt where the pipes were buried. Michael said it would take too long digging up by hand and offered to bring up an excavator to expedite the process. He also had a second camera with a longer reach. The evacuator was onsite in less than an hour and they sent the second camera down the storm drain. We were about to dig up thousands of dollars of landscaping, site work, and drainage infrastructure to find the kitties. But with the skilled work of the Rooter-Man crew, they located the stuck kitty 85' into the pipes and encouraged her to leave using the camera, but the kitty could not turn around. So they gently pushed and motivated her to back out and it worked! The kitty was saved! Then they did a second search of all the remaining drainage lines for the second kitty. You see, we lost our home in the Tubbs Fire, rebuilt in 2019, and connected drainage lines to the old system. We were worried the other kitty might be hiding somewhere in the old system. The Rooter-Man crew made sure we were confident that that no other cat was hiding in the system before they left. And late that night, the second kitty came back home!! Although I recommended Rooter-Man before this incident, I wanted to share our unusual experience and the excellent service we received from this outstanding family owned business!

My clients were purchasing a property with an existing septic system, but the seller was unable to provide any meaningful information about its condition or layout. John, the owner of Sbragia Septic Service, personally answered our call and promptly scheduled the inspection. During the initial inspection, John had to dig down 2' in compact gravel to access heavy concrete access covers. Once uncovered, he pumped the holding tanks and snaked a video camera through the system. The video system was clear, showing multiple significant issues, including failed baffle walls, a broken outlet pipe leading to the first distribution box that had been improperly installed, and a failed first distribution box that prevented him from further completing the inspection. When John returned the following week to begin the repairs, the scope of the project became significantly larger. He had to cut through asphalt that had been laid directly over the outlet pipe and one distribution box. As the work progressed, he uncovered six additional distribution boxes, one of which had completely failed. He also found several leach lines clogged with roots and encountered multiple water lines that had been installed along the septic system that were broken during the excavation process. Despite the unexpected challenges, John and his crew worked tirelessly until 8:00 PM that evening to complete the repairs. They came fully equipped, sourced the necessary replacement parts for an older septic system, and handled every obstacle with professionalism, expertise, and determination. Their willingness to go above and beyond ensured the repairs were completed in time to keep the property purchase on schedule. John and his team demonstrated exceptional knowledge, work ethic, and commitment to customer service throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Sbragia Septic Service to anyone in need of septic inspection, repair, or maintenance. Their professionalism and dedication truly set them apart.

So, let's start with service: Jose picked up my call on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and promised to arrive for an emergency septic tank pumping on Monday/Memorial Day. Amazing! Jose and his crew are professional and knowledgeable and they bring the right balance of humor and seriousness into their work. He has educated me through every step of the process, per my request, with patience and clear communication. Technical expertise: it is clear that Jose has been in this field and in Sonoma County for a long time. He was dear friends with the septic guy we used 10 years ago on our property and is well connected in this area. Although he has all the modern tools needed to fully diagnose what our septic tank/each line system needed, it was as if he knew what the issues were prior to even digging into the soil. He is a solid pro and very trustworthy. It's tough to say whether he was a better value than others, as this is our first run of dealing with septic issues, but he seems fair. Between fairness, expertise, kindness and humor, we couldn't ask for a better partner to get us out of this "crappy" situation we've found ourselves.
