My family has been a customer of Rosa's for twenty years. Between the number 1 location and the number two location, it has been a dining experience. Garbage has never tasted so good and all the other items I have tried have been just great, The Staff is alway nice. The Garbage Burrito is my main dining course with extra onions and cheese! I have not tried the Breakfast burrito yet, but bet that I will not be disappointed. I love Mexican food and Rosa Maria's in tops with me. I have no problem recommending Rosa Maria's and look forward to the next dining experience. read more

What happened to the real Rosa Maria?! This place is not it, overpriced and mediocre now. People that say it's bomb must not know what it once was at the original location and even that place has gone down hill. The burritos are smaller and more expensive. MRC they don't give you meat just fatty pieces if they give u any at all, I got half way down the XL MRC (cheese and rice mainly burrito) and barley got to the fatty tissue that I picked out. No Beuno. Go to Pepitos or Juanitos for good food. read more

I my opinion Rosa Maria's has gone down hill. The restaurant itself is clean and bright, but my burrito sucked! From the time I made the call to the time I ate the burrito it was 11 minutes. The cheese wasn't even melted, which tells me the meat was not hot when it was made. And the tortillas were hard, not soft and moist like they used to be. Terribly disappointed. read more

I been eating at Rosa's since it was on Sierra Way. There was no Highland store. The food was dependable, the best around. Then I started eating at the Highland store when it opened. Same great food. I been gone for 5yr. Couldn't wait to have a Rosa's burrito when I returned. What happened ? I got a burrito that actually had one piece of meat. So I tried it again. I ate here once and honestly wouldn't give a try again. It's a little overpriced for a rice and beans burrito. You can only pay cash or credit. No debit! And you have to put $10 or more on your card for them not to charge you a fee. Food quality was okay. Salsa was given over counter. They only gave me 2 napkins for my two orders. I've had better. First time here there were 2 people at the front counter to "assist patrons"neither of them welcomed me or asked to take my order....immediate turn off. I give this Rosa Marias 3 stars, not because of the food (because it is delicious) but because of the service. Every single time I order over the phone or in the restaurant they have an attitude. If its not me they have an attitude with its another customer. I hate having to deal with them, especially the older Hispanic man (I always try to avoid him). Went to Highland for a business meeting and couldn't find any places to eat except this place. (Other than the typical mcdonalds and taco bell) I regret stopping in. I wasted $8 on a plate of slop. I ordered the chile relleno plate. OMG WHAT THE HELL??? The chili relleno was COLD and my food came out super fast, which means the relleno was PREMADE! The batter on the relleno was spongy and tasted gross. I cook beans a lot, so I know they're not supposed to look they way mine did. I suspect they were DAYS old. Shame shame!!! I gave one star for them having free water and clean bathroom. Never again. read more

I'm generously giving this place a 1-Star as this is what they have earned. I came here in 2001 and didn't like it then, but I've seen so many positive postings from the "I Love San Bernardino" page on Facebook that I thought I'd give it another shot. Unless one is accustomed to the way things are done, the line for food vs. the line waiting to pick up food can be indistinguishable. Once we found the right line we ordered quickly. The guy taking our order was rushed and seemed annoyed that we were not completely sure of what we wanted. He wasn't rude, just rushed. We picked out a seat and waited only a few minutes for our food. When I bit into my cheese enchiladas, the shredded cheese was still cold. Not warm, not cool, COLD. So I took my order to the counter and asked for it to be reheated. The girl at the counter asked if reheating food was allowed, and he assured her that it was. I watched the young "cook" in the back as he popped the styrofoam container into the microwave and hoped I wouldn't get cancer from any chemicals leaching into my food from the styrofoam. It was handed back to me by the same gal that took it. I went back to my seat to discover only one of the enchiladas had made it to "hot." I lifted the other enchilada to see if the cheese had melted, and sure enough, no, it had made it to "cool," but not warm or hot. I took it back again, and they heated it up again. This time the gal came back snickering after talking to someone in the back about my order. I'm glad she felt she had something/someone to laugh about/at, because I was not amused in the least. She was completely unprofessional. I received my food back again, and it was warm, but definitely not hot. I took it back again and asked for a new plate of food as I didn't want to take the chance on a now-cancerous plate of food from being nuked what would be 3 times in styrofoam. They accommodated my request. This time it was HOT. It was very good when it was actually suitable to eat. I had also ordered a bag of chips and salsa. I was looking forward to that because I knew it would be decent. How wrong I was. The first 5 or 6 chips were good, like chips should be. The next chip, however, was like a gummy bear, completely rubbery and horrible. At first I thought it was just stale, but upon further chewing it only got worse. My teeth literally bounced off the chewed rubbish. That's when we cleaned off our table and chucked the remainder of our lunch away. It was a terrible experience all around. First off, this is a drive thru, not a Mexican restaurant. Just wanna make that clarification. Compare apples to apples so to speak. I moved to San Bernardino at the end of 1980, and Rosa Maria's home style burritos soon became a staple on my list of lunch venues. I'm an extremely picky eater, and the quality of ingredients that went into making burritos at Rosa Maria's was second to none. The veggies had that farm fresh snap of taste, and the chicken & pork were very flavorful and tender. Unfortunately, through the years as this drive thru expanded and opened 3 more drive-thrus in the Inland Empire and more people were brought in to manage and operate the company, the quality of the ingredients has gone down hill. The meats are now rather tasteless, and the veggies taste like they've sat on a grocery store shelf for the previous week. Perhaps the owners think they had to do this in order to compete with all the new Mexican drive thru's that have opened in the area over the past 20 years, but I for one am always willing to pay the price for quality over quantity. I stopped eating at Rosa Maria's a few years ago because of the big drop in quality, and I'm so disappointed to see what used to be an A-1 drive thru low their standards so much that I was tempted to rate them one star, but standing back & taking away my personal emotions I still have to give them 2 stars. The Robles have always employed people who were very courteous and seemed to be genuinely happy to be working at Rosa Maria's. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that some day very soon the Robles with go back to the roots of their business and once again provide quality food instead of just a cheap price. read more

So I'm a huge fan of garbage burritos. I've been hearing for weeks about how great they are at Rosa Maria's. I must say I'm not impressed! The food here is very bland. Whoever's in charge of the pepper shaker has a very heavy hand as well. Thats all i coukd taste. Also they only have one kind of hot sauce. Get with the program not everyone likes red sauce. This place continues to be great! Clean, friendly, great food, great value, and a weekly must have!

People have hyped this placed up for me to go, but in the end there was nothing special about this place. I ordered the XL Burrito with Beef, however, the guy behind the register told me that there was only chicken and pork. In my head, I was freaking out because there was no beef?! I never had a burrito without beef! So I frantically spat out pork and asked for everything on it. When I got my XL I took huge chomps of it but I noticed that there was a lot of rice and bean and hardly any pork. In addition, the burrito was bland, boring, and such a weaksause. I thought this burrito was amazing after reading reviews on yelp and hearing from people who have been to this place. But I guess everyone's taste pallets are different. I love burritos but this trip was a total disappointment. To be honest, El Super (Mexican store on 9th St) has better burritos than this place. My family and I have been going to Rosa Maria's since the 90s and they never disappoint but what happened today left me speechless. I placed a to go order for the long drive home from work, I ordered the chili rellano meal which comes with beans, rice, and a taco. When I got home I picked up the box and it felt pretty light and when I opened I found the main component to my meal the chili rellano was missing! There was only garnish where the rellano was supposed to be...was that a joke? That is inexcusable and would never have happened with the OG crew. It's food! Their hot sauce is essentially water and pepper. Their avocado sauce is inconsistently overly salty and I find it odd that their tomatoes come in slices. I wish they would rebrand their restaurant because it's definitely not Mexican food.
