Not what it used to be. I've been eating here for over 15 years and haven't been here in about 2 years. Ordered all meat burrito with chicken as I always have and there's juice pouring out of it like a faucet and it tastes like chicken tomato soup. I can barely taste anything other than what seems very similar to canned stewed tomatoes. They could've atleast strained the chicken and tomatoes before scooping them into the tortilla. Literally so much juice that within 5 minutes my burrito was a soggy mess. It definitely was not fresh as I went at 1:30pm and there was hardly anyone here and yet my burrito was ready within 30seconds of my sitting at the table after ordering. And no, the people before me didn't order anything with chicken, so it's not like they made some for more than one order. Probably won't come back to this location. read more

This place has gone downhill quicker than you can spell downhill. We have gone to this place for years but the last couple of years it's got to crap. The last 2 orders my family has placed here they have gotten they have gotten the details wrong. Every time you go in the building it's chaos because they are not organized. THIS PLACE DOESN'T CARE Had an experience here with a customer changing thier child's diaper (#2) on the table top next to me in the resturaunt while me and my family tried to eat. I asked the couple nicely to not do this, they didn't care, so I talked to the manager who also didn't care and said I could leave if this bothers me. I later had a discussion with the owner that made up excuses for what happened when she wasn't even there. She said she would make up my experience (Which was mother's day) and asked me to not write this review (That was 2 years ago, this still bothers me). We came to terms, but she never followed through with what she said. This establishment was allowing health codes to be violated and didn't care. There are many places to have an enjoyable meal, I would recommend this place because of theor lack of care. read more

We hadn't been to rosa marias in a while so we were excited to go and have their garbage burritos. We each ordered a garbage burrito and when we bite into it the tortillas were surprisingly dry and hard and cracking apart. I think they changed to whole wheat tortillas And the filling wasn't as yummy as we remembered. Overall we were very disappointed. And for some reason the address on yelp is on 5th Street when it is in Boulder Avenue. Sad that the garbage burrito wasn't up to the old ones we had previously don't know if they changed the filling but just was less then spectacular especially for the price I can get a better burrito at a sit down full service restaurant for less money that tastes better. We've come here several times since moving into the area. It's an easy place to pass by, but worth a quick visit if you're into authentic mexican food. The interior decore is very plain and dated. It certainly will not impress anyone you are dating. The food is served on a tray + styro-foam plates, but it is good food and the price isn't too bad either. I have been going to Rosa Maria's Mexican Restaurant since I was a very young man ( junior High School) I know things change in all businesses , but quality food and customer service have always been the key to Rosa Maria's success. I took my family and some friends to eat at the Highland location tonight. What happened ? Both quesadilla's were made with tortillas that didn't appear or taste fresh. We ordered 7 burritos, all made poorly. For example: All meat at the top beans and cheese at the bottom. Paid for extra cheese on 1 burrito , I found a very small amount at the bottom. I realize things change , but wow ... just not the same! read more

Bland is the word that comes to mind - not that there is not some appropriate spiciness to their offerings, but the range of flavor/ingredients is just that - BLAND! Some people rave about this place but I don't really get it. I suppose it's better than a fast food chain's burrito but having honestly not had a burrito from a fast food joint (other than a few from Chipotle) in 10+ years, I really don't have much to compare it to. Don't get me wrong - I'm a fan of good Mexican food and enjoy it regularly in restaurants. Their staple is burritos - from bean rice and cheeses to various meat additions. They have a garbage burrito which is a big sloppy mess suitable for a person with similar attributes. In the end nothing comes across as fresh as there is a lack of fresh produce (fresh cilantro, avocado, tomatoes, onions, etc.) in the food. Everything is kind of a big grease fix. Taquitos are usually overcooked and dry with some less than average guacamole-esqe stuff on them. Drinks are limited to sodas. There is limited seating inside and outside. One plus is that you can phone in orders ahead of time. If you eat fast food I guess would be an acceptable alternative. If you want really good food keeping going. Even the former McD's fast food chain Chipotle beat out this one for Fast-Mex. read more

My wife and I decided after reading all of the great reviews about this place that we needed to check it out. We were very disappointed. I ordered the chili relleno combination meal and my wife ordered the enchilada combo meal. My chili relleno was small and the meal was served on a partitioned plate which made it hard to eat the meal. My wife's enchilada was served on a regular type paper plate. I envied the fact that she got a much larger plate that wasn't partitioned. The quality of the food itself was good but I left wishing that my portion size was larger. What I get when visiting Rubios or Chipotles leaves me stuffed, what I got from Rosa Maria's #2 made me want to order more just to satisfy my hunger. My wife on the other hand couldn't finish her plate so I finished it for her. Also the taco that came with my combo plate was small and greasy. I would have preferred a soft taco that was larger than what I was served. We will not go back to this location, however we may try once more by visiting either the SB or Redlands locations to see if they are any better. read more

Constantly good, any of the restaurants they have. I like the one in Fontana off of Baseline ave they have a good Group on only good at the fontana shop. We like all the burritos but do try the Chile Relleno burrito. The one on Boulder ave has plenty of seating and great family dinner pack on Monday's 4 red size burritos and 4 tacos along with 4 drinks for like 25.oo dollars.
