We have been wanting to try this place since I saw them on my friend's IG. Bookmarked them and finally tried to order them the Friday before the 4th of July weekend and they were not taking orders for that day. Not sure how often this happens, but I would suggest to order a day ahead to assure you get a chance to eat the yummy goodness the day you want it. To avoid missing out again I preordered on Monday to pick up on Friday, which is today. The ordering is different as you text your order and they send you a Venmo request for the amount you owe. After you pay, they send you their address to pick up the food. Right when we got there, the guy asked for our number and quickly knew our order. He gave us two containers of consommé. Sprinkled some onions on top and gave us out food. The entire ride home which was only a few minutes away, the car had the amazing aroma of the consommé and birrias. First bite was amazing and dipping in the consommé made it even better. Each one had a ton of meat and even the consommé had chunks of meat in there. Problem is the husband and daughter can't take much spice so these birrias were too spicy for them. They had to drink a lot of milk to calm their mouths. Definitely worth a try! 3.5 stars. Our first attempt to order Rosario's was on a Saturday, MLK weekend. When we tried calling, no one picked up but we received a text afterwards saying that they were "Sold Out" for the day. Our second attempt, my fiancé called Rosario Tacos around 11am on a Tuesday and they picked up pretty quickly. He told them that we wanted to order some birria tacos for 12:30pm pick-up. The guy on the other line said that he'll send him a text with a link to pay by Venmo but my fiancé preferred to pay cash. Since my fiancé asked to pay cash, we only had to pay $40 flat but they wouldn't make our tacos until we've arrived...due to the fact that they've had "bad apples" before who said they'll pay cash upon arrival but never showed up. The guy said it'll only take 5-10 minutes for them to make the tacos once we've arrived and paid. We got a text with the address and "Please wear a mask when you walk up." Super easy phone call. The guy on the phone was informative. We arrived at the location, which was actually their house. They had their garage open with a "Rosario's Tacos" banner inside and a grilling area setup. Parking was easy since we were just in a neighborhood. We ordered.. 8 BIRRIA TACOS $4.75 each (+tax) -super meaty and cheesy. Very filling. We enjoyed the crispy edges! Generous with their consommé, which had bits of meat in it too. We got our tacos within 5 minute and it took us 15 minutes to get home. I had this spot bookmarked for a few months now. So glad I finally got to try them out!! To order, I DM'ed them on their instagram page the night before since I was planning to get some Birria tacos with a friend! They responded so fast, within the same minute!! I asked if I can order some Birria tacos to pick up after work the next day (aka today). One thing to note: make sure to bring a box or bag to hold your items or even a friend/partner to hold the items. The dude on the phone was super friendly, so if you get anxiety calling in an order... don't! - Minimum order quantity of 4 tacos per order, and for every 4-5 tacos they give you a cup of consomme for dipping the tacos in. Each taco is about $5 each... expensive, but worth it IMO. - The tacos are prepared at an undisclosed location, but trust me they are made fresh. Plus they were wearing masks when we stopped by to pick up. - I would recommend calling ahead anyways as they can run out for the day. The tacos themselves are perfect - right amount of meat, cheese, and seasoning. The taco is crispy but the meat is super tender and flavorful. Quesabirria Tacos are so delicious! I had a chance to try them at Rosario Tacos and they did not disappoint! I ordered 4 tacos (the minimum order) and enjoyed every bite. The tacos are loaded with generous portions of birria, cheese, onions, cilantro, and sauce. The meat is very tender and tortilla is crunchy, just how I like it. At first, I felt intimidated because as of COVID, the only method to getting your food is through delivery, and I rarely ever do delivery where I have to talk to someone over the phone. Thankfully, the person behind the phone Joe was able to carry out my order in a way that is straightforward and easy to comprehend. For my case, I placed an order of their Rosie Red Quesabirria tacos (asada) for the day in advance. There is a minimum quantity of tacos I can purchase, which was four. So I paid for my order of four tacos (~$20) using Apple Pay, though Venmo is also supported. I can either pick up the order during lunchtime at 12-2PM or dinnertime at 5-7PM so I chose the latter and specified my time of arrival. The address to the location will be provided upon a finished transaction. I strongly recommend staying in touch with their Instagram since it provides updates on their business activity. The quesabirria tacos are delicious. I would describe the tacos as an all-rounder that balances every component well. The tortilla shells have a great soft texture to them. The chuck steak is easy to digest and has richness. You can never go wrong with the iconic cilantro and onion action. And the consome that they pair with the tacos rehydrate the meat, as it should when you dip the tacos in it. I wish I had asked for salsa because these tacos were already killin' it on the taste department, and salsa is always a great addition to the food. Same with asking for lime slices (though I had some conveniently on me!) Four is enough for someone with my stomach, and being known for its catering roots, the business can absolutely work with larger orders should you ever find yourself ordering for friends or for a small gathering. Compared to my other reviews, I don't have any additional notes to share. I think I've practically covered what I needed to cover. In truth, I have future plans to coming back to Rosario's Tacos and ordering the quesabirria tacos again, this time with some salsa on the side. When I eventually got through, the guy who answered told me to call back in 20 minutes cuz he was on a supply run. Cool. I do that. Never got through. Eventually I get notifications that they sold out. So of course I'm salty. I tried again today, same result. Busy. And I gave up. Then... Joe called me. That's the turning point. The guy made the initiative to call up someone who's been calling, so I reward them with pretty much ordering the entire menu: 6 street tacos -- 3 asada, 3 pastor. 1 cheese quesadilla. 1 chicken quesadilla. 2 shrimp tacos. And the money item, 4 Rosie Red Quesabirria tacos. Birria is taking off thanks to what's going on in SoCal, and it deserves to. Research it and you'll see that it's actually simple to make and innovate, but it takes FOREVER to make great birria. Rosarios takes their time and they're chill about it. Ordering 4 tacos gets you some of that savory and rich consommé with the meat shavings right there. My friends and I have seen this place on instagram and other social media platforms so we were super excited to try this place out when we finally got the chance. We decided to order 6 quesabirria tacos and 3 tacos without meat (made the same way as the quesabirria tacos just without meat). If you are vegetarian, this is the perfect option for you! I believe you have to order a minimum of 4 tacos. The tacos are filled with birria (if you choose to get them with birria), cheese, onions, cilantro, and spicy sauce or salsa (not quite sure what is was). Oh man were these tacos good. They definitely had a kick to them so just a heads up if you don't like spicy food! The aroma was amazing and the taste was also just as good. I wish the tacos were slightly more crunchy, they reminded me more of a quesadilla rather than a taco. However, they do dip the tortilla into a red sauce/salsa then put it on the grill so maybe they are unable to get completely crunchy. I really liked the consome. It added a really nice touch to the tacos. There is meat in the consome so if you are vegetarian or vegan then I would avoid trying the consome. Ordering is pretty simple. They are only open on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Make sure you call the number that they provide on their instagram or yelp page. Once you place your order and choose a pick up time (lunch 12pm-2pm or dinner 5pm-7pm), he will send you an apple pay, credit card, or venmo request through the phone number you call from. I was really excited to try this place because I've seen so many posts. I've been here twice since I heard of it. The surf and turf quesabirrias absolutely live up to the hype. They're so good and juicy, the consommé is a little on the salty side, but I like it like that. However, I do not recommend the burritos, especially the al pastor. I've never in my life had pastor taste like chorizo, so if you're craving pastor, this is not the place for it. I'm giving 3 stars because the quesabirrias are so good, but the pastor did not taste like pastor and the customer service could use some work, especially when it comes to answering the phone. I've never had a business not answer their phone. At this point, it seems like it's just there for no reason. I always try to call ahead because I'm familiar with the area and I know it's so hard to find parking, you'd think they consider this before deciding not to take phone orders or AT LEAST mention that they don't accept any phone orders. Saw this spot on Instagram and got me craving their quesabirria selection. Next day, convinced my co-workers to go here for lunch. Between the 3 of us, we ordered 7, quesabirria tacos and some drinks. Here's where it got interesting: got our order and noticed only 1 consomme, ask the worker and he said, " you only bought 1 consomme". At this point, I'm dumbfounded. Every other spot I go to includes a consomme per plate. Figured each plate, the 3 plates I ordered, would each come with its own consomme. Not wanting to cause a scene, I asked for 2 more and was charged $10! Needless to say, left an extremely sour taste. Future patrons - be advised. read more
