Great weekday Wifing/Work from Cafe, plenty of free parking, decent caffeinated drinks, lots of seating, and some outlets (bring an extension in case). Good for individuals and larger groups. Wild Parrot Brewing Company opens at 3pm. Anyone sitting on the brewery orange side will need to vacate unless they become a brewery customer. I believe there is no wifi during the weekends. Best place to wifi in east Pasadena!

I love Pasadena but it's far! I wanted to try this place in the area so I drove out here. The coffee wasn't as good as I'd like. Next time I'll def add extra shot to make it stronger. Otherwise the cafe was clean and the service was fast! No other complains! I'll def come back to try a different menu item but the place seems lively and busy which means it is def the place to be in this area!

Still as good as I remembered it! I got the strawberry almond croissant this time. The filling was perfect : sweet with strawberry jam without losing the almond flavor. The croissant is perfectly flaky. A 10/10. I got the ice Oatmilk latte with simple syrup -my go to drink and it did not disappoint . Happy to be back !

The interior is huge and spacious! I went around 2 on a Tuesday and it was pretty crowded. Lots of people on their laptops so seems like a good spot for working. They have a front and back patio and parking lot in the back. The cashier wasn't very friendly and didn't greet me. Didn't talk much. I ordered a macchiato and blueberry muffin. The macchiato was not drinkable. I am not sure if it's the beans but the drink was not smooth and very bitter. The blueberry muffin looks like there was a bite taken out of it. The blueberries in the muffin were tart and didn't taste very fresh. Would not come back.

There is plenty of parking on the street and in the back of the coffee shop. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered seasonal toast that had apples. It was very fresh, and the bread was soft and crisp at the edges. I also got a flat white and it was great. I came here with a friend to catch up and it is a great place to do that. I definitely want to come back and try other items on their menu.

I love coming here for their flat white and lattes! The ambiance is really cozy with plenty of indoor seating and parking in their back lot. It's a great spot to get work done at and I love coming here for my morning cup of coffee. They also serve an assortment of pastries and so far I've tried their chocolate croissant and the strawberry almond croissant which were both really tasty though pricey. They don't charge extra for alternative milks so I like getting their flat white with almond milk. The coffee beans are roasted in-house and I love how smooth their coffee is. Overall a great coffee spot to check out in Pasadena!

Pre-wedding caffeine fuel Food: Colorado Breakfast Sandwich I appreciate the choice of thick sourdough like English muffin (4/5). It was pipping hot so the egg was enjoyable (sometimes places do not heat up throughly). I asked to remove the bacon and the cashier was so gracious and suggested a substitute instead which the Turkey was great! This held me over until after the ceremony. Drink: Of course a seasonal pumpkin pie latte is the only fitting drink haha The espresso did the work well, but the syrup was a bit lacking tasted more artificial (3/5). My taste buds needed more pie spice and the dazzle PSL vibe which I would try another drink next time. A small pro is their ice size. Ambiance: A wide range of customers on their computers studying / working remote which infers great wifi, computer outlets and table arrangements. I loved the in-house brewery tank to add a little touch Service: The cashier was kind and sweet! She offered suggestions and items executed in a timely manner. All employees displayed their happy countenance with smiles to everyone that's a 5/5

    |[ a m a z i n g ]| Had sugar-free options and loved the iced hojicha latte (with oat milk sub) with toasty strong flavor just how I like it, plenty seating and looks like a great place to do work though maybe bring headphones :) |[ e a t z ]| Colorado brekkie sammie was decent though not too special for $7, I have yet to try the pastries but plan to eventually! |[ l o v e n o t e z ]| Patio seating out back so pups are welcome there, cute, wholesome and parking lot+easy street parking. Service is fabulous! Line can be a bit long but worth the wait. :D my pup and I will be back!

This will be my second time coming here and oh my have things changed since I was last here. Came with my best friend on a wonder Sunday morning and to also get my Pasadena Coffee Passport stamped. They have plenty of street parking by the way. I noticed they have added outdoor seating, what a plus! As I walked in, I remember it being a lot emptier, but now there's actual seating & a Wild Parot inside. I ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte with Oatmilk. It was delicious & subtle. The staff were nice, and service was quick.

This place was amazing! There's a nice sized parking lot in the back but if it's busy, it can fill up. Both indoor seating and also outdoor tables in the back lot in case you have pets. I ordered the bacon burrito and the green salsa/sauce it came with was so good. Although it could be filled up a little bit more. Then my plate was brought to the table it seemed small compared to the rest of the plate. Then I got a lavender latte and it was perfection. The staff was super friendly. Nataly recommended the cinnamon roll and that was sooo good. It didn't end up making it to the photo it was quickly inhaled by the table. But I would order the cinnamon roll again in the future.

Have been coming here ever now and then for years, but I just never got around to writing a review. The drinks are always delicious and the staff super friendly. This time we got a ginger honey latte and a butter pecan chai. The ginger honey latte predominantly tasted like ginger and rosemary, which I loved. Perfect festive flavors for the holidays. The butter pecan chai was very buttery and tasty. I usually prefer my chai a little spicier but it was still great. Will be back soon for sure!

For the drinks itself, not sure what kind of matcha powder they are using but it doesn't seem to be grade quality. The banana latte also tasted like milk. Interior wise, plenty of tables & seating. On this weekday I came for the Jasmine Milk Tea. Last time this was under the Tea Latte section, but they menu changed and there is now a dedicated Milk Tea section. And also there is a Jasmine Latte with Espresso in it, but that is under the Espresso section. I was able to get it chilled but without ice. The lowest sweetness level was 50%, but I asked nicely and they estimated they could make a 25% for me. It turned out wonderfully, extremely floral, barely any sweetness so the Jasmine aroma and taste were the dominant ones. In the food side I selected the popcorn chicken. I can take some heat but only a small bit, so I asked for the spice powder in the side. I just looove the texture of the popcorn chicken. You can see in the picture that it's a very thin breading, almost not there, but the texture seems almost as if an invisible rice flour was tossed in the outside. Still juicy in the inside, and small pieces to make every bite pop-able. The chicken comes with a ranch sauce, though to me it's a second thought. Add a hint of spice or even have the chicken as is, no ranch is needed.

Regrettably over the last 10 or so years, it has been my perception that much of the specialty coffee industry has: 1) capitulated to the taste buds of the casual coffee drinker (or the masses) and have abandoned their desire to change hearts and minds with education about a new wave of coffee drinking experience; 2) are shops owned and operated by people who are non coffee professionals (you know who you are!) and lack pedigree & experience. I get it. It's tiring and frustrating trying to help customers understand that what they are drinking is not "weak" coffee just because they "can't taste coffee." The masses & self-proclaimed coffee enthusiasts want "strong/bold" coffee but they themselves don't even understand what that means! Youngsters want to drink their iced lattes all the while pretending to be grown ups and/or be part of some trendy shop. they take 100s of pictures of the same latte and finally post one to their intriguing Instagram story. Why? Because trendy, duh! Thank God for Sherry Gao and the undeniably talented team at Mandarin & Mandarin 2. THESE KIDS ARE BONAFIDE COFFEE PROFESSIONALS!!!! They have phenomenal coffee pedigree! If you are familiar with my senseless ramblings, or so-called "reviews", you will notice that this one lacks my customary per item ratings and elaboration. This is intentional. Considering the subject matter of coffee, I simply cannot and will not write about "how good this latte is", etc. With all due respect, I drink spro, and almost always only spros at shops that actually know what they are doing (with an occasional deviation of a spro & some milk or something else interesting to my palate at the moment). So yeah, if you must know, Mandarin 2 is THEE PLACE for coffee. And to all the iced latte experts, please do spare us your expert opinion on coffee.

I got the seasonal coconut latte and I liked the espresso it was smooth and creamy. My mother got their latte with the milk tea and I personally liked it but she wasn't very happy with it. The baristas weren't accommodating about substitutions or offering to make a new drink. Each business has a right to run it the way they want but be warned that you kind of have to commit to trying something you may not like. This place gives an either you like our drinks or just don't come back type of vibe. They don't really seem to care about appeasing you. Do with that information what you will.

Their pastries are legitimate Paris-level quality. The one that looks like a pain au raisin (but isn't) is incredible--those glazed, crunchy parts are what's up! I came here to get some work done on my laptop, and the vibe was perfect. People actually rotate out instead of camping at tables all day, so indoor and outdoor seating opens up organically. That is exactly my type of place.

By the time I was done ordering and had everything there was probably 20 people in line. So getting there a little early makes sense. I ordered 4 chocolate croissants, 3 Monkey Breads, 2 Kouign Amanns, and a partridge....sorry. Wrong song. 1 chocolate bar and a cappuccino. So far I've had a Kouign Amann and the cappuccino. The cappuccino may be the best I've ever had. I don't know what kind of coffee they use, but it was very smooth. That alone is worth the trip. AND, my barista did a cute milk art on top. The Kouign Amann was AMAZING. Layered and flaky I confess I ate the whole thing! I can't wait until I can try the other 2 things I've purchased. After all, the chocolate croissant was the primary reason for going. Now for the negatives: Management should figure out a way for more than one person to take orders and box them up. Even Mom & Pop donut shops often have multiple people taking orders. And Porto's has it down to a science. It would go a long way toward clearing the line faster. My second issue was the price. Quality is expensive. I get it. And I'm fortunate enough to be able to splurge for a treat like this. But with a small tip added to my total I spent just shy of $100! Not something I can do every week. But I would encourage you to save your nickels and check them out!

It's spacious, relaxing, and the perfect place to enjoy a slow morning, catch up with friends, or just sit back and people-watch. I ordered the Avocado Toast and an Iced Pistachio Latte, and both were delicious. The avocado toast was fresh and flavorful, and the pistachio latte was so good--creamy, balanced, and not overly sweet. The staff were also friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great coffee, great food, and a beautiful outdoor atmosphere. I would definitely revisit and highly recommend Republik Coffee to anyone looking for a cozy brunch or coffee spot in Pasadena!

Republik is pretty big inside, with lots of outdoor space and seating as well. It was very busy when we arrived, and there was a line, but it moved pretty quickly and I got my order in a decent amount of time. I saw they had an Ube latte, so of course that is what I ordered, and it did not disappoint. Very flavorful and delicious. Service was good, and the baristas were all busy but took the time to greet everyone and thank them as we all picked up our orders. There is lots of free street parking in this area of Pasadena, so that was a breeze.

Everyone talks about the Popcorn Milktea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi. It sounds a little unusual at first, but it ended up being SO good! The black tea with the buttery popcorn twist somehow works so well together! I usually don't like boba, but I'm a fan of their tapiochi! The texture is soft yet springy, and the best part is, it holds up really well the next day (unlike boba)! We also tried a few other drinks like their Mulberry Oolong with Osmanthus Jelly, Calamansi Oolong, Ember Milktea, and Gardenia Oolong. The Gardenia Oolong comes in a larger glass bottle as a pure tea. We enjoyed all of these drinks as well, but the Popcorn Milktea was our fave!
