So.... This is how it happened. I was in the area looking for a good sandwich, so I went Yelp for help. As always, my Yelp family came through and I discovered Rose's. This is a cozy little pizza joint in a small shopping center. I'm not really sure if it's run by Italians, but I did get a very authentic Italian feel from the restaurant. Just a heads up: There isn't enough parking and you may have to wait for a spot to empty before parking, but the wait is well worth it. The place was pretty empty, but I came on a Sunday so I'm not surprised that it was empty. Anyway, I was helped immediately by two gentlemen behind the counter. The menu was easily displayed both on a stack of pamphlets on the counter as well as above the work area that food was being prepped. Everything on the menu was very affordable, under $15. I ordered a Turkey Sub with the works for $6.50. I love how fresh all of the ingredients were and how my bun was toasted in the pizza oven prior to all of the trimmings being added. My only complaint is the quality of the Turkey - it wasn't great. I could tell it was cheap. But the sandwich was VERY fresh, edible and I will definitely come again. read more

One of the Best Pizza places I have ever eaten in. All the workers are really friendly and energetic, and funny too. All the food is made fresh, from the pizza to the subs. Forget the chain restaurant's and all the places that serve bland flavored subs and pizza's. Here you will get everything you are looks for fresh, friendly and funny. Only downside is they don't deliver. It's okay though it's worth the wait, just call ahead and pick it up. read more

I used to live in Garfield back in my youth and Roses Pizza was my local pizza joint.Their pizza is the best and their #10 melted italian sub is the bomb.I think they started that trend way way before Quizno's!I don't get back to Bergen County that often,but I always hit up Rose's Pizza when I do. read more

This is THE best spot around!! Everything is excellent here. The cold cuts are top quality, best marinara sause, and the antipasto salad is hands down the best!!! They don't deliver and they don't accept credit cards so be prepared :) highly, highly recommend!!! read more

Not sure what all the hype is about.... Yes the pizza is good... Nice and thin but nothing so great that I would have to get in my car and drive to go get it.... I have heard a lot of hype about this place and the yelpers are largely very positive. I suppose that, in a neverending wave of bad pizza, this mediocre pizza becomes good. It is not good, it's just not as bad as some. The pizza we had was very greasy and the crust was completely tasteless although it was crispy as requested. The sauce was very heavy on paste and the cheese and pepperoni were mediocre. My wife's Italian hero was on good bread and was well dressed but the cold cuts were poor quality and in short supply. The eggplant parm hero was on the same good bread but was drowned in the same pasty pizza sauce. The eggplant was remarkably skimpy. Overall, there is better in the area [Lodi Pizza] and there is nothing here worth another visit. read more

While they may have good Sicilian Pizza. Dominic one of the owners is one of the most rude business owners I have ever come across. We dine out a lot and he never goes out of his way to be nice to the customer. He actually will fight with you if you comment about something wrong with the food or question the prices. I stopped going there for years. I recently revisited and was reminded how rude dominic is and how unprofessional he is. His partner Toni is no prize either. So if you want rude service you can go but their sandwiches are soggy and their pizza is not that great. Barcelona's has much better regular pizza. read more

I heard that this place was good from so many people so was eager to try it. Everyone has different tastes when it comes to pizza so I respect their opinions but this place just wasn't for me. I walked in around noon and it was pretty busy, a good sign. I ordered a slice of pizza and it was just too greasy for me. I don't like having to sop up the grease with napkins. I will have to come back and try one of their hot sandwiches or entrees. read more

I came here all the time to get pizza, calzone, and antipasta salad. I was there this past weekend and I was so disgusted. I ordered a salad and the actual OWNER of the place charged the customer in front of me took his cash and continued making my salad with the same bare hands he touched the cash with. Been to this place many many times. Very nice and clean place especially after it was renovated. The sandwiches are awesome, the pizza is good, the guys are nice and funny! Actually have been going to this place on and off for 30 years Its hit or miss love their chicken sandwich but after getting it the last 2 times its time to part ways. The chicken was VERY DRY, not much chicken to begin with, asked for EXTRA mayo got very little mayo this happened 2x. Couldn't eat it called them told me to come in they will make me another sandwich that DIDNT happen Instead I was embarrassed for bringing back only half the original sandwich Tony the owner cared more about $$$ than making sure his customer happy " what you want a free sandwich he asks I make you half sandwich" wtf if he made it right I wouldn't have Had to come Back with half of a crappy sandwich NEVER EVER GOING THERE AGAIN this is why I stopped going there once before read more

Slice of thin crust, corner slice of Sicilian and a coke $5. Best deal. The Sicilian slice is beyond good. Dough has great texture and chew. Sauce has great flavor. We have been coming to Rose Pizzeria for almost a decade now for one reason - the best tuna salad ever! The combination of fresh, well seasoned tuna with hot peppers, tomatoes and lettuce is definitely worth the ride! Great casual atmosphere and owners who remember you name (which happens if you go there for tuna salad at least twice a month for many years). Place is clean, service quick, staff is friendly and accommodating. This place is a staple in Garfield - I highly recommend it. We often order mini-garlic pies to go with the salad which are also excellent. PS. The pizza is great too! read more
