Stopped by mid day on Sunday, curious to try the neighborhood's new addition. There was a short line but it moved quickly and the service was prompt. Nice selection of pastries, sandwiches and pizzas, however, nothing is labeled or priced so it's very hard to know what you're ordering. I got some kind of apple pastry tart, which was tasty, but not remarkable. It was about 3.5 inches across and cost over $8, which to me is just insane. I know pastry is a lot of work, but even for the neighborhood it felt like a lot for something that wasn't spectacular. Better pastries for less elsewhere. There is a lot of interior seating and the space is nice looking. It might be a nice place to sit and meet for coffee but the price point is prohibitive to make it a regular spot for me. read more

Rosetta is a welcome addition to the Lincoln Center area. The location is prime, and the space is very attractive. I ordered a Filoncino sandwich and I took it to go. The staff were very quick and the line moved quicker than expected. The sandwich was delicious, but a bit too small for my taste. My bill was $17.42, and the value was $13.00. When Rosetta Bakery opened, after much anticipation and months of signs in the window, I was thrilled to have an Italian bakery in the neighborhood. It's bright, open and a nice addition to the Lincoln Center area. And when I saw they offered my Favorite Italian pastry, sfogliatella, I was very excited. However, when I reached the cashier and discovered I owed $7.50 for this pastry I was shocked!! My "go to" bakery in the Village charges HALF the price. I can understand perhaps $5.00, but this was stunning. Won't be returning any time soon. read more

Bakery near Columbus Circle. Stopped here for a quick breakfast. The place is beautiful, lots of natural light, open, seats include cute chaise lounges and tables with stools. The pastries, sandwhiches and pizza all look so inviting through the glass. I ordered an ice coffee with mozzarella and tomatoes croissant. The price was 13 dollars. The meal did not taste 13 worth. The sandwhich was cold even after asking for it to be warmed. There was no flavor. The coffee was weak with an after taste. Will not return. read more

Love the diversity in menu items! The coffee is great and the overall place is nice during off-peak. It can get very hectic and overwhelming if you're there during a rush. I recommend grabbing a latte and then walking across the street to Lincoln Center and enjoying the fresh air. read more

The old lady and I ordered two sandwiches, a croissant and a lemon tart to go. The lemon tart was never placed in our bag. By the time we noticed the shift had changed and i spoke with a woman by the name of "Serpil". She was beyond rude saying there is nothing she can do about it and she actually hung up on me. Very overpriced bakery items. The presentation is very pretty but the pizza squares and sandwiches looked quite small and basic for the prices. I opted for a berry muffin - it's way too sweet and the real issue is it's dry and stale - perhaps due to them sitting there for a while give the $8 price tag. I went here on two separate occasions. Both times, the coffee was great. I tried the lobster tail and a version of a Linzer tart cookie. The latter was my favorite of the two. The cookie was perfectly crumbly but not stale and the portion of raspberry jam was generous with a balanced tartness. There's also ample seating inside and a few tables outside. Horrible service. Rude, unprofessional, unresponsive. I had all the food for my order except a cup of ice for the canned drink. I was paying at the counter and asked for the cup of ice before paying. After ringing me up and paying, I asked again for the cup of ice. It's literally right behind the server to turn around and scoop up the ice. Instead of getting it for me, she tells me to pick up all my food items and step to the side and wait. Then she proceeds to serve other customers instead of getting me the ice. Absurd. There's a long line of customers. How many should I wait for? I ask to speak to the manager. I want a refund a in the generous tip I left before getting the bad service. The counter experience was fine, though the items in the cases did not have prices which were labeled clearly. I got what I thought was a pizza slice and a few small pastries. The bill was about $40. Everything was amazingly good when I ate it at home over the next few days. The pastry was the most amazingly light and crisp I have ever remembered in NYC. But the prices were insane. Terrible service and wildly overpriced. I got an iced chai latte from them after a doctor's appointment on my way home and asked for oat milk in it. They charged $1.50 for the ice and the oat milk, and when they called out the drink did not say that it has oat milk in it. I tried to ask the barista just to have the cashier scream at me that it was oat. Here I am, sick an hour later, because they gave me dairy. I walk by this place to and from a project I'm working on and have been drawn in each time for the well displayed food. Unfortunately the quality is never as good as the appearance and I've tried everything from pastries, to the European style sandwiches (today's was ham and cheese that they were going to heat up for me, seemed like it barely touch any heat with the cheese still cold), to the pizzas (tasteless especially for an Italian bakery). But the added insult to this pretty packaging is that the staff doesn't seem all that interested in the customer experience from being asked about ingredients, to the checkout person who today didn't make eye contact with anyone before me or myself. Great packaging poor service, mediocre food, and quite pricey for both of the above. Def nothing like I've experienced in Italy, or up the level of NYC where food is expected to be at least on par with similar vendors. read more

Pizza tasted a day old, with the dry and flat texture you'd expect from the leftovers you find lying next to you on the floor of your college dorm room. The palmier, while a decent light touch of sweetness, had a soggy mouth feel--and everyone knows that 80% of the baked goods experience is mouth feel! Speaking of palmiers, both attendants I interacted with spoke to me like I had elephant ears.
