Yummy pastries and sandwich. Not sure what the sandwich I got was called but it had mozzarella, tomatoes, spinach, and artichokes on it. The bread was green, not sure what it was made of but it was good! $9. I also got two little $3.50 pastries. A fruit tart and crème puff. Both were good. Everything I ate was good but not amazing. The Ambiance is okay but do not order coffee - it is so bland/tasteless almost worse than Folger's. The hot chocolate, if you like extra sweet, you'll like theirs. They were not very accommodating with offering a half caff option and no alt milks either in case that interests you. The food is ok - heavy carbs and heavy sugar though..... Beautiful coffee shop and bakery walking distance from Columbus circle. It's hard not to look through those glass windows and see the beautiful baked desserts and not want to go in and give it a try. They are known for the baked goods both sweet and savory, everything is freshly done everyday so you never have to worry. The lines can be a bit long but the taste of the food will have you forgetting about all of that, my go too are the sweets, mini cannolis with a chocolate chip mixture filling, apricot danish and their tiramisu in a cup. You can grab it to go or you can sit and enjoy the beautiful decor of the bakery, beach like aesthetic and modern furniture, it's a great place to get some work done on your computer or have a get together or meeting. read more

As a resident of this neighborhood and a bakery aficionado, I looked forward to this new addition. Sadly, despite its good looks, its pastry is only colorful, and very definitely not tasteful. It is overpriced. There is also the matter of the place-your-order-and-move-down-the-line-to-pay process. People can't be expected to understand it, and it makes no sense. No one knows whether or not to jump in front of someone who is taking longer to pick something out or to order things. There is disagreement and irritation among the patrons because of this. For NYC this place is about 3 stars. For me it was a bad customer experience, a little expensive ($31 for small sandwich, tiny pasty, and water) for walking out still feeling hungry. For some reason the person behind the counter wouldn't tell me what the sandwiches were. The menue just says one word and the bread was orange. He just told me to get the brioche sandwich. I didn't exactly want that one but he flat out refused to answer my question. Also he was super friendly to everyone except me speaking to all of them in Spanish. I'm also fluent in Spanish but I don't appear to be so is that a reason to treat me like a less important customer? I don't know. Then he was really pushing to upsell me on everything. I wanted a tiny pastry (delisious, I got the almond and appple one) but just a little one. He really really tried to push me to get the bigger one. I feel like he was trying to get me to spend $40. It cost me $31 for a decent but not special sandwich, the tiny pastry, a water, and a dollar tip. Everything was tasty but it was expensive and there are so many choices I prob will choose somewhere else next time because it wasn't good enough to be treated like that. read more

A great spot to meet up with a friend. #Sweets: Numerous pastry varieties: the fruit in the pastry I tried was excellent. very fresh. #Treats: Pizza: tried a ham & artichoke slice, the flaky crust was so unique -- LOVED IT! (Crust was on the oily side but that's what I was craving! really a TREAT)!; The Frittata - very generous with the veggies. Yet to try: coffee, bread, sandwiches, parfaits, juices, salads (I saw a salad advertised, didn't see it IRL as of yet). Suggestions (though perhaps it is already underway! this is a VERY new place after all): - the electronic menu keeps flipping to the next menu screen so it was hard to really hone in on an item. A hard copy on a stand, QR code, or non-changing screen might be easier for customers to make a selection. - A note about which items contain common allergens (ex: the Frittata had eggplant, which I didn't know just from appearance). I assume people ask about nuts etc, but for less obvious items a more detailed menu might be useful (see the point above - QR code etc). I am not one to eat sweets but we stopped in one evening and grabbed a turkey sandwich and a prosciutto baquette with truffle oil along with couple mini pastries and a jelly donut. All fresh and delicious! It's a pretty big bakery with some tables and chairs. I can't pinpoint what causes me to get food poisoning but I can say I had one of their bread filled Huge Ham sandwiches and tried two apple items. I'm a huge Nutella person and have now tried the Nutella bombolone and a Nutella filled croissant. I need for every bakery in the city to make their Nutella filled things just like Rosetta. First of all there's so much filling inside their pastries, I was in absolute heaven. The dough perfectly flavorful, fresh, and crisp (for the croissant) and the pastries themselves are quite large and taste like they just came out of the oven. 10/10 read more
