Watching the sushi roll by is very therapeutic. It's nice you just pay for what you eat since AYCE can feel like a trap when you don't finish everything. Everyone was nice here and I'll definitely be going back. I wish I lived closer because I was craving this the other day.

I was visiting for the weekend and we tried this place out. The conveyor belt sushi restaurants no longer exist in my area, so it was fun to do again. Their prices are very reasonable, the portions are large, and the fish was fresh. You can order specific conveyor belt offerings or order directly from their menu. I look forward to going again.

I would not expect to have a nice sushi in Boise! But I guess I was wrong. Since it is the during the pandemic they sushi rotary thing does not work, but you can still somehow do single order from the menu. Usually when I have sushi, Nigiri is a way for me to see whether the restaurant knows what they are doing. Nigiri would show you how fresh the fish is, chef cutting skill and also how they do the rice. The service was good and fish was good too. The price is quite reasonable to be honest. Totally would love to visit again. Parking is easy! It is clean as well. Ps, saw some reviews saying sushi here is expensive. Seafood is something that you get what you pay for. A lot of sushi restaurant used frozen fish, and they have to u less they are near the coast, and still it would cost you a lot. I know some restaurants in Utah air shipping their seafood, and you would be looking at 100 dollars per meal for quality of food. Good food doesn't always have to be expensive but I think the price is fair for the quality that I got from this restaurant.

First time dining at Rotary Sushi. I was very much impressed with the freshness of the ingredients and the spot on flavors of the sushi. We ordered the vegetable tempura and a round of delicious miso soup to start us off. All very well prepared, but the star of the show was the never ending conveyor belt of fantastic sushi options. Let me also say, that for the amount of sushi and sides we ate, the price was surprisingly low. The wait staff and the chefs were very attentive and helpful. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in town. What a local gem establishment.

Service was on point, sushi chef Kevin is a cool guy to talk with. I got the Fire Paradise roll! Which do not get higher than a 3/5 hot level! I love super spicy stuff and man that was hot. If you want a spicy challenge get 5/5 if you think you are stronger enough! I definitely will be back because of my experience. Food quality was also really fresh! I will recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Jalapeno Bomb - Level 1 heat.

This was our first time going to Rotary Sushi. My husband loves Sushi however I like tempura more. He ordered the Jalapeño Bomb and the waitress asked what level of heat did he want on a scale of 1-5. Well, usually he likes things really hot however he elected to order level 3. Thank goodness the man making the sushi for him suggested he start at level 1, since he had never even tried these rolls before. My husband went thru 4 Pepsi's getting down those hot little rolls. They were absolutely delicious and he said some of the best Sushi he had ever had. The waitress was very attentive to us and greeted us when we walk in the door. We will definitely be going back here to enjoy another meal.

Are all plates on the rotary belt?

No, they were not as of July 1.

What is the price for all you can eat sushi?

Rotary Sushi does not have all you can eat. You either pay by the plate or can order custom rolls. They also often put custom plates on the rotary belt. The quality is great, even if the quantity is not unlimited.

I went a couple weeks ago to see if I could surprise anyone, but everything was so different. I was a little stunned, but not surprised because he is probably an elderly man by now. Matthew said I looked familiar, but since I didn't recall speaking with him I couldn't recognize anyone. I had my usual marylin monroll. It was just as delicious as before. Now they have a sushi happy hour, but I didn't want much since I was on vacation. I was told that the business was still within the family. Thank you so much for keeping Kyotos running. I come here several times per year because I love the vibe, chefs, service and food. Reservations are a must if you want timely seating and less wait...and ensure your entire party is with you prior to your reservation time. My most recent visit was to celebrate my birthday, though I didn't tell them that for fear of the extra attention. I know some people love that, but it's not my thing. Our service was incredible from start to finish...prompt and expertly timed food drop-off, pick-up and drink refills. We started with the Gyoza. The Gyoza was fresh, hearty and steamed with those amazing crispy brown seams. The sauce was delicious as well. Those were gone in maybe 3 minutes. Next came the miso soup, which was a slightly seasoned broth soup. A nice compliment to the salad, drizzled with a thousand island-like dressing and crisp lettuce. Next our hibachi chef Herman appeared with our cart full of meats, veggies and eggs. He crafted the most fun, hilarious and DELICIOUS meal I've ever had there. I ordered the chicken and shrimp, hubby had the chicken and filet. The steak was cooked medium rare and nicely seasoned. Each piece of chicken or shrimp was seasoned, sauced and buttered to perfectly plump. The fried rice was delicious! Literally, every bite of rice, meat and veggies just sang. We couldn't stop raving about our experience and I was actually sad to see Herman leave instead of sitting down to join us.

If you are looking for the absolute WORST sushi experience in the entire Treasure Valley,…read morecongratulations, you found it. I have never dealt with such atrocious service & their Sushi was subpar at best & that's being generous. Right out of the gate, it was a total disaster. The waitress brought absolutely nothing to the table--no utensils, no ginger, no wasabi, nothing. You know, the standard basics that literally every other sushi joint on the planet drops off on autopilot? We had to literally request every single item just to physically eat our meal. Then came the food--or whatever you want to call it. I specifically asked if I could swap tuna for yellowtail and asked about getting what I actually liked instead of just settling for "chef's choice." They completely ignored me & brought the exact opposite of what I ordered. Nothing we got was correct. My guest ordered a lobster and fish roll, and they handed her a plate of literal, unidentifiable mush. There were no actual pieces of fish or lobster to be found anywhere in it. Just mush. And the scam they pulled with the ikura was unbelievable. I ordered two portions, which is supposed to be four pieces total, which again is commonly standard at any other Sushi restaurant. Instead, they brought out two pieces. When I pointed it out, the manager actually came over to our table to argue with me, insisting I was going to be charged full price for half the food. Literally $5ea for 1 piece of Sashimi that tasted like shit. Outside of the painfully incompetent service and the manager's garbage attitude, the fish had no flavor, They didn't even bring out all the food we ordered, but we were so fed up and disgusted by that point that we just paid the bill and walked out. I don't know if this is how they run their business every single day, but it was bad enough to warrant this warning. There are plenty of incredible sushi spots around here. Do not waste your time or your money at this absolute trainwreck of a restaurant. I guarantee I will never step foot in this place again.
