Chicken Pita

Everything was excellent and is cooked to order. Portions are also great for the price. It's very difficult to find parking as this location is right outside of lsu's campus. There is seating to eat indoors but this is more of a carry out spot in my opinion. I enjoyed the chicken pita and the cheesecake eggrolls.

Stopped by for a burger while in Baton Rouge for a game on campus and visited on the recommendation of friends speaking from their experience while students at LSU. Sure enough, burgers were good (I had the jalapeño burger), portions were generous, and prices competitive. You must remember though that this is a student go to, like the kind you might remember from your college days, and if you're looking for fancy you're going to be disappointed. Business is mostly carry out, although seating is available for 12-15. If you're in the area though, ignore the rather sketchy surroundings and enjoy a pretty good burger or Po' Boy.

The food was good as always. I love the eggrolls especially the limited flavors they release throughout the year. They are a must try

My wife got me the lolo burger last time she was there with my daughter then took it home for me to try it out and i really loved it!now eating it fresh off the grill is even better!

Mannnnn I went to Roul's today by the college. A load of SLOP! The seafood egg rolls were tooooo cheesy all I tasted was cheese NOTHING else had I not saw the crawfish I would've wondered if there were even there. I couldn't eat more than a half of one. And the seafood fries were soooooo salty that I couldn't eat more than two forkfuls. It's a HARD NO for me! It's for the kids, adult palates would never.

Finally made it. TikTok is undefeated.

Holy Smokes. I first heard about Roul's on TikTok. One word, "Undefeated". We left on a Cruise out of New Orleans but before we left I headed up to LSU to remember the good old days then to Roul's. It was everything I imagined it would be. Also got a chance to get to some Boudin Spots and Daiquiris as well. Trip was so lit we almost missed the Ship lol. It's not often that several things were ordered because it was difficult trying to choose while reading the Menu. Since there were 7 of us it became one of those give me one of everything after a while. The Chicken was crispy and fried perfectly. The Seafood Fries were actually still crispy under those Mountains of goodness. If lived in Baton Rouge, Roul's would be a problem.

I just wanted to write in and say this is one of the worst places I've ever been to in Baton Rouge, LA. The cashier "Lay" has zero customer service, and doesn't give a shit about anything except what's on her phone. She seems to be a good runner but it stops there. She barely acknowledged me walking in, didn't answer my questions, and then only cared if I had been on TikTok to see your latest ads. This was first and last time coming here, btw. You got recommended by a coworker but I'll never be back. I waited THIRTY FIVE MINUTES for a burger. Four people walked in after me and ordered and got their food. Two door dashers came in and got theirs (I get it's premade right - along with a party) but I ordered at 11:32am. You open at 11:00am. Explain why I'm waiting my entire lunch break for a burger and four people after me get it. I finally go to complain and she's like oh here it is and doesn't even bag my food. Check the cameras. When I get the food the fries are room temp at best, and I got charged for 3 proteins even though I specifically asked for no shrimp. Why do you charge your customers for protein, which is a huge cost, when they don't even buy it? Seems like pretty shady practice. I still have the receipt she just typed it into Agilysys or Micros or whatever touch screen program you guys have with a note "No Shrimp" full price even though you advertise two meat and three meat deals. 10 out of 10 would not recommend. My burger was so soggy from sitting there I'm not even going to post a picture and gross everyone out. Save your time and money. EDIT: They emailed me back and said they watched the camera and I ordered the LOLO burger which comes with all the meats (which I specifically didn't order all the meats) and that they "have call ins and door dashes that take orders before hand" and that "we go by ticket number." My ticket number is TWELVE. You're getting scammed when you get generic answers back and they don't even see I didn't order shrimp. Happy to charge me for it. Check my receipt in the pictures - and I even tipped before hand so don't blame that

I had the pleasure of trying this place today I had the egg rolls once before. In my opinion are overrated. But I tried the Shrimp burger with onion rings. The onion rings were good. But my shrimp burger had about 5 small shrimp. My burger was awful if I could describe what freezer burn taste like it would be this burger. Look at it smh it was clearly an old burger! I will not be revisiting this location.

Crawfish egg rolls....who knew this combination will be full of deliciousness fried and made to order. My momma and I drove to the Highland location and parking was a beast!!!! But luckily after driving around 3 times, there was a parallel spot available. This creamy, cheesy delight comes in 6 cut pieces ready to dive in without the ranch.

Some food tastes god awful and smelly And some feels like sh** in your belly But when in Lousy Annas It would be bad manners Not to get a burger from Roul's Deli No, you won't see their ads on the telly But other burger places are jelly For there is nothing better, Or juicier, or wetter, That a Shrimp Burger here at Roul's Deli Now it won't look as yum as Grace Kelly But it's built like a damn Botticelli And they never do skimp On the big juicy shrimp On the Shrimp Burger here at Roul's Deli So. The first rule of Roul's is, you order a Shrimp Burger. The second rule of Roul's is, you order Shrimp Burger. The third rule of Snowflake - if someone yells "stop!", goes shrmp, or taps out, the burger is finished. Fourth rule: only two Shrimp Burgers per person. Fifth rule: one Shrimp Burger at a time, fellas. Sixth rule: the Burgers are Shrimp. Guys - No shirt, girls - no shoes, no thousand island crap. Seventh rule: burgers will last as long as they have to. And the eighth and final rule: if this is your first time at Roul's, you have to order a Shrimp Burger. It was a very very long time ago that I first brought Barbie here - and we're talking 11 or 12 years ago when she was just a little girl. We have both been in love with it ever since, as they have the most delicious huge greasy juicy succulent southern-style burgers, and when you get the shrimp burger they put a bunch of very generous juicy hearty grilled shrimp on top of it, and it just makes it even more amazing. So. The Shrimp Burger is one of the greatest Burger inventions that I can think of or remember having eaten anywhere, and when I come to Baton Rouge, this is a must-try every single time - just as Verti Marte's Ernie's Powerhouse is in New Orleans, offering some of the best sandwiches in Crescent City. So to me, despite its humble unassuming college roots and it's colourful and quirky LSU decor, this place is *the* standout food destination for Baton Rouge, my fave burger in Louisiana by far and one of the top 5 in the burger-rich South, and every single time we come to BR, coming here is exactly what I do. I love every bite... every juicy delicious succulent bite. And I should mention that service here is very friendly too - it's for the college crowd, but it's still really nice and that is awesome. And the very tanned brunette girl working here, who we chatted with and was super fun and friendly, is definitely one of the most attractive Baton Rouge residents in history, in a town full of very attractive LSU people. Good Rouls of thumb are: go to Baton Rouge, and get a Shrimp Burger. So close all the malls, the shops and the SCHOOLS Close the gas stations so nobody FUELS No day at the races, no night at McCOOL'S Because everyone's going for a burger at ROUL'S Close all the gyms and close all the POOLS Close down Alaska (they're all a bunch of JEWELS) Close Fox News (they're all a bunch of TOOLS) Cause we're all getting Shrimp Burgers at ROUL'S Close down Xmas, it's just a bunch of YULES Close the dermatology clinic (they cure POSTULES) Close the sewage plant (after all it smells of STOOLS) Cause we're getting Shrimp Burgers and we're all going to ROUL'S Close the right wing media (they're government MULES) Close the fitness center (I just burned a bunch of JOULES) Close the movie theatre (they've run out of SPOOLS) Cause there's only one burger I want right now: ROUL'S Don't have any fights (there's no time for DUALS) Don't ghost cute girls (or you're all a bunch of GHOULS) Don't be that dude (that looks at Barbie and DROOLS) Come and get a Shrimp Burger now at ROUL'S WHAT

Came over for dinner on Tuesday evening to this little hole in the wall on campus. What a gem - let me tell ya! Lots of great options on the menu and a great place for a cheat day or carb day or protein day! Ordered the crawfish fries, the shrimp burger and Philly cheese steak and Crawfish egg rolls. Everything was fantastic! Egg rolls: unique! 5/5 Burger: it's in the restaurant name (juicy!!) 10/5 Fries: Make sure to have some friends with you to help you go through this dish. It's heavy and extremely rich with flavor! I would definitely come back and try other sandwiches! Highly recommended - just have an empty stomach!

I tried out some of the egg rolls from Roul's Deli, and loved them! The mac and cheese egg roll was my favorite, but the crawfish egg roll was still pretty good. This is a good place to get some quick takeout--the inside is small but you can still sit down and eat. Definitely want to come back to try a burger or poboy!

No doubt the best burger in Baton Rouge. Very reasonable prices for the amount of food you get. Always leave happy and full.

The sandwiches were fresh and packed with flavor, the pot pies were rich, creamy, and pure comfort food, and the appetizers were the perfect start to the meal. The whipped Parmesan mashed potatoes deserve their own standing ovation. They were unbelievably creamy, cheesy, and easily some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. And don't even get me started on the sweet pies... BOMB! They were the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. To top it all off, our waitress, Sophie C, was an absolute gem! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure our entire experience was perfect from start to finish. If you're anywhere near Baton Rouge, do yourself a favor and eat at Elsie's Plate & Pie. We'll definitely be back for the food the people and the ambiance!

Expected a wait, 20 minutes, no problem! Another 15 to place our order, and another 25 to receive our food. We were there over an hour before we got any food. Ooffff... it's fine. We're laid back and can roll with the punches-they're busy and staff was friendly-it'll all be worth it when the food rocks our socks. Sadly...no. Both grilled cheeses (entrees) were room temp and the cheese was already hardening. It felt as if they had forgotten to deliver the food. Waitress was so kind and took the one off our check. It was appreciated. Boudin balls were great!! Bedford and remoulade sauces were okay. Parmesan potatoes were good!! Brussel sprouts and fries were fine-would have been better if served hot, I think. We did the pie flight and they were all good. Not mind blowing, but good. I always give out second chances-public service and food service is tough and sometimes you just have off days. Worth checking out if you live in town!! But if you're just passing through, maybe just get some pie to go.

They staved off an eviction nearly a decade ago and have somehow managed to stick around for a total of nearly 7 decades. Dearman's is the last legit diner in the city. The interior is a trip back in time. The spacious dining room is complete with retro furniture, checkered floors, and old school artwork that feels like something out of the 1950s. The decor screams pure Americana and is one of the biggest draws for the many patrons that come through daily. My favorite part is their juicy burgers. Pair it with their crispy fries and their old school milkshakes, and one has a complete meal. The burgers are hearty, and the portions are substantial. They also have salads, other sandwiches (tuna is my go-to), and various options for loaded fries. The other awesome part are the prices. Minus the double cheeseburger, there are no items that exceed $10 on the entire menu. The staff is young and always enthusiastic, and they play a big part in making this place such a destination. It is group / kid-friendly, and an ideal lunch spot. Orders can be placed online, but I recommend eating in for the full experience.

Whoever put these two items together is a genius! The chewy, meaty, crunchiness of the cracklins along with the gooey, saltiness of the cheese curds is the perfect combo. It's like Peanut butter and Jelly! Peas and Carrots! Beavis and Butthead! Ok I may have went too far but they are great. The beer is good too. Agile usually has 15 or so different beers or seltzers on tap. What I like about Agile is they don't just have 12 different IPA's (although I am a huge IPA guy) a stout and a blonde. They have all kinds of styles which is a good change of pace. Upon my last visit I had a Stout, An American Wheat, an IPA and a Krystalweisse (German light beer) in my flight. All were really good but the Krystalweisse was surprisingly good in that it was both flavorful and still light. Another plus for Agile is they are in an industrial park that includes 2 distilleries and another brewery. So, get you some curds and cracklins then get shmangled. Just call an Uber.
