This is an all you can eat hot pot. The soup you select really compliments the food you put in to cook along with the sauce you make. The ingredients you put in the soup is on a rotating conveyor belt right next to your table. And what a selection of seafood, greens, noodles, tofu and even some sweet dessert. The sauce ingredients are on a table in a corner and soft serve ice cream on cone or cup you can make on your own. You select your choice of meat and the server will come to your table and ask if you want more. The staff is wonderful and welcoming. There are 6 hot plate heaters on the table. The server brings your pot of soup and place it on the hot plate. He turns it on and tells you how to turn it up or lower the heat. They even come by to ask if you would like more soup for refill. Each person also gets their own seafood platter. So each person gets a lobster tail, a large oyster, and a large scallop. There is a conveyor belt that serves a pretty wild variety of hotpot food, pretty much anything you would expect. The conveyor belt food is comparable to Seapot in terms of quality and variety, with different kinds of veggies, meatballs, fruits, desserts, mushrooms, and seafood. There is shrimp, clams, and mussels. The sliced beef and lamb are also very fresh, thinly sliced and defrosted when served so they are not hard to cook. My soup base is also very nice (Thai tom yum soup), and tasted authentic. The price is amazing, especially when you consider that you get a lobster tail. Not sure how they managed to do that. The serve staff are all very nice, happy to give you whatever you need. The interior design is pretty good, very clean for a hotpot place. My friend and both agreed that we won't coming back to this place. Maybe it is decent for All you can eat but not for ordering from the menu. They don't even have tables for two. They moved us around once because one side was for the AYCE guest and the other side is for people who order from the menu. They also have a decent selection of hot pot broths as well. For me, I'm actually a sucker for tomato broths nowadays so I decided to get that. It was lighter than I thought it would be, so I did wish it had tad bit more of that tomatoey accent to it. What's cool and unique about this place is that they also give you a free complimentary lobster which you can cook. I actually don't know any other hot pot place that does that. The meat portion was okay, first few plates you could tell it was super frozen but as we ordered more the quality was much better. The orders also came with a half lobster tail, 2 fresh fish balls and a frozen scallop. My bf and our friend said that earlier in the pandemic, they were still giving out whole lobster tails but I'm sure with the inflation they had to cut back a bit. No other hot pot that I've ever been to did that! With all due respect to the people that live here, as well as the town itself, Brisbane doesn't exactly have a trendy food scene going on. Not that I've ever spent much time out here, but I had always assumed this sleepy stretch along 101 between the city and South San Francisco was limited to just office parks and condos. Never would I have guessed that among the restaurants sprinkled throughout town was such an interesting spot for hot pot! Now, if you've read some of my reviews, you might know that I have a sort of weakness for places with punny names and gimmicks. Chief among them might be sushi boat/conveyor belt restaurants. So, blend that with AYCE hot pot and my friends and I had more than enough of a reason to eat in Brisbane for the very first time. Well, all that plus the promise of a free tray of seafood (including a lobster tail!) and something unique to Yelp about! Stepping inside, Round N Round doesn't look particularly impressive, but no matter. More importantly to us, (nearly) every table was right next to the conveyor belt and there was nary a wait (it never got crazy busy while we were here, either). As we settled into our booth, I was also pleasantly surprised to see that every person got their own heating pad and pot, as opposed to the communal-style pots that most other places employ. Of course, that's to say nothing about all of the different choices and options available to customize your pot/meal. STEP 1: Pick your soup base - Chicken Broth, Szechuan Numbing (Hot & Spicy), Thai Style (Sour & Spicy), Malaysian, Japanese Miso, Cilantro & Preserved Duck Egg, Tomato Soup, Creamy Milk Soup STEP 2: Pick what meat to start with - Supreme Beef, Prime Lamb Shoulder, Chicken Slice, Pork Belly, Pork Slice - to go with your Seafood Tray (Lobster Tail, Scallop, Clams, and Fresh Fish Balls). Beyond the food, I was almost just as impressed with Round N Round's service. Not only were the workers all relatively friendly, but they were super responsive. At most other places, it takes a while for the servers to come back around to take your orders for refills on meats and even longer to actually bring it out. Here, the workers are quick to come around and don't leave you waiting for them to come back again and again. Given that, as well as the luxury/convenience of having the food come around to us, I'll definitely be coming back to Round and Round.
