Service was pretty awful. We sat and had lunch, I observed a continuation of bad service. Every customer that came up to the counter had to wait at least 3 mins to be helped, many customers even pressed the bell at the counter, to be greeted by a slow employee. We order twists, and when they were dropped off we didn't get our ranch so we asked the lady at the counter who said okay and then helped a new customer at the counter ignoring our request even though we were 1st. Then a food runner came by and I asked her, and she grabbed the ranch immediately. When my husband asked for a to go box, she said, oh you need that ranch? 15 mins a go. The girl working the register was just awful. She seemed bothered by every minor request, and was completely out of it. On the upside, the pizza was fine, the salad bar looked fresh. Happy to take your money and tell you your pizza is "almost ready" then ignore you for 20 minutes as you sit and watch your pizza sit on a shelf because they "forgot" about you even as you sit in a chair right in front of the register waiting. Sooo disappointed...again! Last time I ordered online, my son went to pick up on time and it wasn't ready. I had paid online and they charged him again when he picked up. I was able to get a refund a couple days later, but shouldn't have had to deal with that. When he got the pizza home it was really over cooked and almost inedible. Very disappointed. Especially since it was a $32 pizza. Tonight I again ordered online and chose to pick up since delivery was TWO hours (really??). I went to pick up and the line was out the door, only one cashier. There was a youth soccer team there looking to find seats but couldn't because EVERY open table was covered with the mess from previous diners. They decided to clear the tables so they could sit. Hard to believe they were that understaffed. When I finally got to the cashier he couldn't find my order and asked if I received an email confirmation. I didn't have my phone so didn't know. He said he could place my order and give me a discount but I'd have to wait 45 minutes!! I said "This is ridiculous" No thanks and left. We went tot Don Panchos instead and had a wonderful dinner. When I got home I checked my email and I had received a confirmation. Moving forward I will not be dining at Round Table and very disappointing since their pizza has been so good in the past. Pizza was pretty good. But this is the second time I've ordered online for a certain time and it wasn't ready. I needed to get it and go because I had a busy afternoon planned. I got there, paid for it, at 5:15 when I had ordered it to be ready. I was told it would be three minutes. After another 12 minutes, I asked where it was and was told it had another 2 or 3 minutes. Needless to say I wasn't happy as I ordered it this way to save me time. This was the second time this has happened to me in two tries. I don't think I'll be trying any more. It's a shame that we order pizza every week and it used to include Round Table. There has been no getting a correct order since the Petaluma store was remodeled if we go into the restaurant, place an order, and sit down. Our eat-in orders have been left on a kitchen or customer counter forever, never telling us they were ready. We've also one be given to a delivery driver, who came back with it, asking his fellow employees what address the order was supposed to go to. Even when there were only 1 or 2 other customers, the soonest our eat-in order has ever been ready was 45 minutes. Mary's, Red Boy, and Rafy's deserve your money; not these guys. The owner/franchisee needs to be there in-person on a daily basis. Restaurants cannot run on auto-pilot; my family has owned 7 of them. If you're a die-hard Round Table lover, order online only and don't plan on eating for one and 1/2 hours. read more

Worst customer service EVER! Ordered online, estimated time 55 mins. 2 hours later..they show up. Called twice..talked to the manager...basically told it was my issue...that the time on an estimate and I should have call the store directly for the correct time. I've always loved Round Table, shoot...worked there as a kid. The XL Hawaiian add olives I got was that RT pie I've been missing since RT had been gone from Petaluma. So, the pizza was great! Again, in typical RT fashion, it's a top dollar price. Add the few sides of ranch that I got (which I was charged for but didn't receive), and it's pretty much a contender to be the priciest pizza in town. I want to give 3.5 because of the mix up with the ranch...I mean I didn't notice it was missing (dude put cheese/peppers/plates/napkins in a bag, so I thought it was there. He was friendly, and great...but noticed some big boss types meeting at a table, and he could've been distracted. Cool soft drink machine! I'll be back RT...it's going to be your time to shine. However, failing to include a paid item, after driving from the West side and back means that I didn't want to drive back. Probably should have called them in an effort to give them a chance of resolving the right away, instead of Yelping about it, and still getting screwed. The bad crowded Buffett area and the table by it is too close people at the Buffett and people walking with soda bad idea I'm sure they have had some spills. 2/3 toilet stalls were "out of service" The employees say 25 minutes and it takes more than 45. The employees have no customer service experience or even try. There is no sense of leadership and it's horrible. Everyone stands around looking like chickens with their heads cut off. Multiple tables that are dirty. Not a good look for a new place. They are seriously being set up to fail. It's unfortunate because I was so happy to have round table back in town. I observed one girl who worked next door at staples go order her food and I was literally the one feeling bad for her she didn't get her food in a timely manner the employees didn't apologize to her and it took them 3 of them to be exact to try to figure out how to give her a refund. I've been here twice now, the first time I happened to be driving home from work in November and saw the OPEN sign lit up OMG RT was finally back in town! Swung a u-ey and learned they had just opened 4 hours earlier! Understandable staff chaos and confusion, but a decent pizza for opening night. Have been back to dine in. Our order was taken and prepared correctly. Service was excellent, the gentleman clearing tables asked if we needed a box as he was passing by, and we graciously accepted, a nice touch! Now my reason for only three stars, and it always pains me when I can only give a Round Table three stars. The ambiance, or lack of it. The newer Round Tables have a more "industrial" design to them, so they seem louder and less comfortable than older stores. Fortunately we were there before the dinner rush so it wasn't loud yet, and the kiddie game room is in the back, so it wasn't distracting. Second, this location is part of the franchise that also opened the Rohnert Park store, and their pizzas are very much made the same. Lack of toppings. RTs are required to weigh the toppings in order to be consistent, so they aren't following instructions or they've lowered the bar. You pay a premium price for their pizza, every slice of a Guinevere should be loaded with veggies. There couldn't have been even an ounce of green pepper on this pizza, a thin slice on maybe one out of every three slices. We got it with pepperoni on top, there was plenty of that. I'm faulting the franchise because this doesn't happen at Occidental Road or Sonoma. Unlike most people I prefer a higher topping to cheese ratio and I remember when I'd get a pizza that you couldn't see cheese under all the toppings. I'm also old enough to remember when you used to be able to get onions and green pepper added to any pizza for FREE. Now you pay dearly for them and they don't even make an appearance. Oh, and I know it's a little thing but it costs almost nothing but really improves the crust, that sprinkle of cornmeal on the bottom. Again, Occidental road and Sonoma both do this and it's all around a better pizza. TL;DR: glad RT is back, dine early or take out, service friendly, pizza not the best RT around but way better than what we had before. read more

The five stars are for the actual pizza itself, not the ambience of the restaurant or anything else for that matter. They make the best-tasting pizza--hands down--in Northern California as far as I'm concerned. The quality is consistent and the crust is close to perfect: taste, texture, appearance--the whole enchilada, er--pizza that is. It's ironic to me to think that one of the oldest and most mainstream pizza outfits in the States is also the best, compared to all the other "boutique" pizza joints and little local pizzerias in nearly every town and city across the country. I would rather give them no stars because I had a horrible experience and will never eat there again. I ordered a pizza and garlic rolls to be delivered and the order went to a neighbors house 3 blocks away . There not on the same street and their name is not even close to mine. By the time the driver hunted me down the pizza was cold , soggy.. Completely uneatable . Pizza Hut refused to redo the pizza that night and told me they did not deliver after 9:00 pm. I had out of town guests that just got in , we were all starving and no dinner. I'm extremely unhappy!!! I just could not believe Pizza Hut refused to work with me on any level. Ok so we ordered 2 pizza's tonight. 1 large triple play pepperoni deep dish and 1 medium wombo combo. When I had called to order the boy told me there was a special on the pepperoni one and it came with wings, he said it was a savings of more than 9 dollars. I arrived a few minutes early and paid around 48 dollars, I believe the boy on the phone told me it was 34 and some change.As I waited I took a look around since I had only picked up there one time before and did not look around. I noticed as I passed the salad bar I could smell urine coming from the bathrooms at the end of the hall. When my pizza's were ready a girl put them on the counter a said let me check them, I could not see them since they were facing her. She said ok. When I got home and opened them. Ok here comes the funny part. It was a sausage and pepperoni and not pan style. The wombo was correct. When I looked at the pizza's I tried calling them but no one answered. There were plenty employees and a couple customers only. I think they recognized my # and realized they screwed up. The pizza's were good though!! read more

Ordered a custom pizza for a kids basketball party when the place was empty. We got an order number we placed on our table. Waited 30+ minutes. Asked where our pizza was, and they said "oh your not with that party" pointing to a group that came in 15 minutes after us. I immediately asked for my money back. How hard is it to serve a pizza to a table that has the order number? What a bunch of clowns. The other party that took the custom pizza are jerkoffs too. They begged us to wait for them to make another pizza instead of offering a refund. We were out of time since we had to go to the kids basketball game. Insulting for them to ask us to wait again. I have ordered online many times, I have yet to get a pizza in the amount of time they give to pickup. Just today the order was supposed to be ready in 25 minutes, and it was 45-50 minutes instead. I cannot believe that after being open this long they still fail to deliver the pizza in a timely fashion. There is clearly a reason for this, poor management. I have never tried delivery, because the other pizza places usually take an hour or more and I figured they would be just as bad. The pizza itself is of good quality, but they have absolutely no time management skills. Consistent with other reviews, this location has the WORST customer service. I love RTP, so I was happy when they opened this location a couple years ago. Service was slow and quality not good (ie, very little cheese on pizza, wrong toppings, etc) back then but I never reviewed, figuring they need time to work out the kinks. But here we are a little over 2 years later, and they haven't changed. I had such a bad experience last night I will NEVER be back. I called in my order at 6pm to pick it up myself, and was told it would be 30 minutes. I thought that sounded a little quick for a Friday night so I showed up at 6:40pm, and I was told my order wasn't ready, and it would be 5-6 more minutes. At 6:55pm I asked about the status again and the cashier went to the kitchen to check and said "about 3 more minutes". I said forget it, I want my money back, since I was obviously being strung along by these employees who have no experience or training in knowing how to properly do time estimations. The "Supervisor" (an unkempt-looking kid with horrible manners; I won't mention his name) came to the cash register, didn't even greet me or ask me why I was requesting a refund, let alone apologize. I was outraged. I asked him Aren't you even going to ask me why I'm getting a refund? He defensively said "I was told that you don't want to wait any longer". I told him about the original promise time and said it's been an hour now since I ordered my two pizzas, and he looked at his watch and had the gall to arrogantly tell me "it's 6:56pm, so it's only been 56 minutes". I said are you kidding me? He very rudely said "there's nothing I can do. The wait time has changed since you place your order". I said What? Nothing you can do? Your staff can't just change the wait time mid-stream, and you're the SUPERVISOR, why don't you act like it? He flippantly replied again there was nothing he could do. I got my refund and left, will never be back. Old Chicago pizza a few blocks away will get all my business from now on. read more

Round Table will not be getting my business any longer. I haven't been in the restaurant in awhile, so I decided to take advantage of the Tues. not buffet and salad bar. It is pretty good for $9.99. However, I won't be enjoying this any longer. I have a problem with my throat and my stomach after a serious surgery I had a few years ago. I can't eat normally any longer. I have an esophagus shaped like a Z due to scar tissue pressing against it, and I have something called gastro paresis, which means food sits in my stomach too long before being digested. Between these two problems it is hard to enjoy a meal any longer. I like to eat at the buffet, because I can't afford $30 for a pizza. However, since I can't eat like I used to, I asked for a take-out box so that I could finish my dinner at home, because I have to eat very slowly now, and eat very small meals. I am not going to pay the same as everyone else and not be able to finish my meal. Up until tonight I had no problem. I would ask for a box, and the help was happy to give me one. That changed tonight when I asked for the take-out box when I paid, instead of at the end of the meal. I knew I was going to need the box, and didn't want to have to stand in line to get it. The guy at the cash register didn't like this idea. I told him it had never been a problem before. I said I get the box every time since this problem started. I said it isn't like I am going to fill it up with all kinds of food. I said I am just not able to finish my meal like I used to, so I take it home. I hate getting my food and then not be able to finish it. I hate to waste food. The guy took my money, but didn't really want to give me the box. Another guy behind the counter got a box and gave it to me, no questions asked. No one gave me a plate to eat off of. I had to go back to ask for one. The guy who had waited on me, kept an eye on me the who time I was eating. When I went to look at the pizzas, he wanted to know if he could help me. I said yes, I can't tell what any of these are. I didn't want to take a piece of something I probably wouldn't eat. Pizza, to me, means sausage, or pepperoni, not chicken, or ham and pineapples. The guy said more pizza would be coming out soon. When it did, I got a piece and put it in the take-out box to keep it warm while I was eating my salad. I knew I probably wouldn't be able to finish it at the restaurant, so I wanted to get the pieces I would like, and would have normally eaten at the restaurant if I didn't have this new problem. The guy continued to keep an eye on me, making me feel very uncomfortable, like I was trying to steal a whole pizza, or something. Finally, the guy couldn't deal with his sense of power being usurped, so he came up to me and told me that from now on I would no longer be able to have a take-out box. I tried, again, to explain why I needed the box. He stopped me, and said I couldn't have a box again. He said he was just told that this couldn't happen again. He mumbled something about giving me a smaller portion next time. He didn't say I would get this smaller portion at a cheaper price. And that was the end of it for him. He could finally move on and leave me alone. By this time I was nearly in tears. I was so angry that I couldn't just enjoy my meal, because I was being treated like a criminal. I could barely finish my salad, or the one piece of pizza I was trying to finish. This makes me very angry, because I did like Round Table Pizza when they could get an order right, which isn't very often. Coming to the buffet meant I would at least have a nice fresh salad and at least a few pieces of hot pizza, and something good to drink, all for a reasonable price. But now I will be making my own pizzas at home. I won't be troubling Round Table with my except to their rule. read more

I don't get all the negative reviews, it sounds like delivery has been an issue for some raters. I have been here at least 6 times in the last few months, I always call ahead for take-out. The staff is always super pleasant and professional, both on the phone and in person. The restaurant itself, salad bar, and restrooms are immaculate. Most importantly, the pizzas have always been ready on time for my pick-up and appear to be very well made with care, all the toppings are symmetrically placed and have a good ratio of ingredients. Pizzas have all been cooked perfectly, exactly as I ordered with special requests. As i said, the negative reviews do not reflect my several experiences at all. I will continue to go out of my way to patronize this well run business unless things change. read more

This round table is so impressive. Every single time I've came here, the employees are so nice! The food is delicious! I always get greeted, it's clean and the food is always fresh. So I ordered a pizza for take out and was told it would be ready in 20-30 minutes. Got there 25 minutes later and paid. I was told it would be 10 more minutes. Sat and watched the kitchen staff toss pizzaas on on the counter piled up high. After ten more minutes, I asked again. This time I was told it was coming up. Mind you, he kept checking in the kitchen to check the status. Ten minutes later, I ask another cashier to check. He stays in the kitchen for a long time, comes out and avoids me. I ask him where it is and he says it's in the oven. I ask if they just now we're making it. He said yes! I asked for my money back. The supervisor never once apologized. I explained how frustrated I was as they wasted 50 minutes of my time and their employee obviously lied to me twice saying it was almost done....still never said sorry. Unbelievable!
