The customer service at this location is very unprofessional and rude. My food took very long to make and the employees were just messing around instead of making the food. The food was good, luckily. But my experience at this location was awful, never going back again. I drove 20 minutes from another location because it was closed at the time. Although, the worker, I will not state their name, who was taking my order rolled their eyes multiple times and had an attitude the whole way through ordering. All Round table pizza is tasty but we love this location especially. Awhile back it flooded so the carpet was stained while they ordered the new flooring, but now the place looks great with new flooring and a nice paint job. Customer service is always fast and friendly, I can tell that the workers take pride in there location because they don't allow local students to come in and ask for water cups only to steal soda and loiter while paying customers are trying to have a meal. We ate at the Ranch Bernardo location . We used a groupon, otherwise we do not go to Round Table because it is overpriced. The regular pizza was quite good.... However the gluten free pizza was a complete disappointment. The crust was thick and very dry. The worst part was that there was absolutely NO marinara sauce, which made the crust seem even drier. I would have sent it back but I was hungry and I think my family would have complained about waiting for a new pizza. My advice to Every Pizza joint.... THE SAUCE MAKES THE PIZZA!!! read more

This place is usually a five star from me and we never have a problem with their pizza. However today we ordered and it tasted like sauce. Way too much sauce that it was overpowering. I called and complained and they had a new one sent out. It was delivered within 30 mins. BUT this time it had like zero sauce. I took that as a "screw you" for complaining. I usually never complain but we rarely get RoundTable since it's almost twice the price as getting any other pizza. This restaurant has terrible customer service. They charge four dollars for a delivery fee, and advertise contactless delivery but it is not contactless delivery. In addition they have a rewards program that is a scam. This spot has been an institution in T-town always and our family's favorite place for pizza, until this evening. We don't expect red carpet treatment upon walking in but this experience was absolutely awful. People have bad days, we understand this but, the customer service tonight was absolutely awful! We didn't arrive before closing (it was 8:15) but the attitude we received was unacceptable as if we were being an inconvenience. No greetings nor salutations fine but to the tall gentleman working behind the counter, thank you. Where to start...... we went here on Saturday about 6:25pm. There was about 4-6 people working and two young men at the front taking orders. I had placed an order for a salad bar and an order of 6 wings. Now, me thinking it will be ready by the time I made my salad. Oh boy I was wrong! I waited over 25 minutes for 6 wings? The guy at the counter "forgot" to place the order, this was after I had waited 15 mins already. Behind the counter there was at least 3 employees behind the grill just having a full on conversation totally unaware of what is going on. We saw this dude come walking out and he obviously did not work there, it just looked kind of sketchy. Well, finally my order was ready but everyone else was getting their food before I did and my wings sat an additional 10 mins. The wings were over spiced and the salad was warm before I even ate it. (See pics) I ended up throwing out the wings because they were very salty! I used to work for round table and all I can say is the quality has gone down hill. Round Table is the only chain pizza I'll eat. This location in Tierrasanta has been a neighborhood hang out for years. I used to eat lunch here when I was in high school! And I used to date one of the managers when I was college and I worked at the bank. (He used to come in and waited for my line...awe, how sweet.) They've been through a few owners over the years, but each one *gets* it. All about the service and we Tierrasantans will love you for life. Now as far as their food goes, I'm a fan of their garlic parmesan twists (with ranch). Their specialty pizzas and wings are also awesome. These guys know service! For any business owners out there, who want to teach their team how to be on their A-Game, this Round Table is the place to learn. For starters, I was there on a Friday night. Parties galore. Huge volume of pizza being shoved into youthful mouths as fast as parents can pay out the money for it. I called in an order for pick-up. When I got there, the place was pretty full and loud, but it was kids-having-fun loud, not we-turn-up-our-sound-system loud. Okay, I'm cool with that. There were several people who arrived there to get in line shortly before I did. Not a problem - they immediately opened up another register to take orders. But something was different. It took me a little while to put my finger on it, but eventually I caught it. There wasn't a moment of panic where someone was looking around as if to say, "There's SO many PEOPLE, I just don't know what to DO!!!" No, an employee just stepped up, and calmly asked to take the next customer. Like it was a normal, everyday thing. Because of the high volume of pizzas being ordered, my pizza hadn't been started yet by the time I got there (I was early to pick it up), so the guy who I paid let me know how long it would be, and invited me to have a seat and wait. A little frustrating, but totally understandable. I could see that they were working as fast as possible in back to make pizzas and maximize the finite amount of capacity that they have. Next superstar item: When they weren't taking new orders, the employees were circulating around asking people what their order numbers were and reporting back where they were in the queue, and giving an updated wait-time. Again, they did this out of habit, not because they were told to do so. When there was a table that needed to be wiped off, one of the "circulating employees" was on it immediately. Now get this: The owner (Shawn) was there, and I saw him bringing dirty plates back from one of the tables. Yes, that's right, even the owner was busing tables. When a napkin fell off the stack of stuff he was carrying, one of the other employees made a beeline for it from halfway across the restaurant to pick it up. Now for the really amazing part: Despite the owner and a couple other "adults" working there, I'd say the average age of the employees is well under 20. Most looked to be in high school. Not one ever had a disgruntled look. Nobody ever made a frustrated sigh, even when they didn't think someone was looking. The pizza itself was outstanding, and the top-notch quality that I've come to love as a life-long patron of Round Tables throughout the state. And yes, they do indeed have a Ms Pac Man game. So go for the food, and enjoy the service. And a note for anyone in Round Table Management who may happen to read this: You're missing a HUGE opportunity for sales down in the Otay Ranch area. Enormous developments of family-style homes. This is YOUR demographic market, and the nearest RT restaurant is a half-hour away! read more

Every chain pizza joint should aspire to be Round Table...even if they are a bit expensive. I have to say I experience periods when I cuh-rave me some Round Table, and it is an itch I can't scratch with Lefty's or Luigi's or any notable delivery pizzas. It just tastes so damn good. Tonight, I ordered the meat-za or the meat lovers or what ever they call it, and it was LOADED with salty chewy parts of chopped up animals. Vegetarians beware....this is NOT the place for you. There must have been a pound of bacon on that pie. It also had two types of pepperoni and a generous helping of sausage nuggets. AND, the toppings go right to the edge of the crust....it's like they took a pizza sized cookie cutter and cut off the puffy edges. They don't skimp out on the cheese either. The place may be kitschy with arcade games, a giant fireplace with seating around it, cheap but comfortable tables and benches, and a jukebox that randomly spits out other patrons selections (which you may or may not like). Word to the wise...if you try to use an online coupon that isn't working, just call the restaurant to report the problem and they will make sure you get the use of the coupon. Don't do what I did and 'settle' for something else and then be mad :-) In fairness to Round Table, this online coupon issue isn't unique to them. I've experienced it other places as well. We really like the pizza, beer, and games for the kids. However, service is often poor. Not because the team members provide poor service, but because they are understaffed and stretched too thin. This is likely a management issue, and is unfortunate for the young men and ladies working there who do their absolute best to handle all the orders (in store, online, delivery, etc), clearing tables, refilling drinks, keeping restrooms clean, etc. - all without proper staffing. We eat there every few months or so for school fundraisers or just because. Our worst experience so far has been waiting over an hour and half for half our order. Yes, only half - the other half never made it. We requested and received a full refund which was greatly appreciated. Hopefully management takes notice and makes some changes. read more

Pizza is fine. The guys seemed to enjoy the pizza and beer. I was under the impression this was a great family restaurant...NO! We met a couple other families with small children there. There is nothing for small children to do other than beg for quarters to play crummy arcade games that they are too young for. Oh, and use the Candy Cane machine to fill up on refined sugar, artificial colors and genetically modified crap! The only legit game there that semi-entertained the older kids was table hockey. Here's the problem with Round Table - they don't know who their competition is. Is it better than Pizza Hut, Papa Johns and Domino's? Hell yes. Their pizza is really good and they offer some crazy flavor combinations (the Polynesian is amazing). Their problem is they're not good enough to make it worth the price you pay unless you have a coupon. Even then, last time I ate there, I paid $30 for a large pizza and a pitcher of Bud Light. This is more than I would have paid at a place like Bronx or A Brooklyn Pizzeria which offer FAR superior offerings. They need to price their offerings more against what the other chains offer. The nice thing about this place is that it's in my neighborhood, staff is friendly and it's still cheaper to have a nice meal here than most other dine in places. The fact that this place still has a dine in section (compared to most pizza joints that are delivery only) is a rarity in and of itself. read more

Attention! Whoever was working around noon-3pm on Saturday, (June 20th) OUTSTANDING JOB! KUDOS! We brought my son and a few of his friends here after seeing the movie, INSIDE OUT. The pizza and wings were awesome, the customer service was on point and then some! I honestly couldn't have asked for better service. Side note: When it came to ordering, the very nice lady figured out that it as cheaper for me to use my military ID, rather then one of the specials. Top Tier! I'm a huge round table pizza fan so I'm always expecting the best from any I go to. I was very pleased to find the quality and service at this location was no exception :) I came in on Friday night and there weren't too many people here which was good! I signed up for the customer rewards program and received 10% off my total amount of purchase which I was happy about. Since then, I've been receiving weekly emails for discounts which are very tempting haha The girl working the register/phones was very knowledgeable about the products and the craft beers on tap (not a big beer head, but she asked if we'd like any and offered some tasters which was very cool). I opted for soda though haha. Salad bar was very fresh, although they were missing the mini corn I used to always get at the round table where I used to live! I guess i can't have it all :( There were a lot of places to sit. I took a window/table seat but there were booths, long tables for parties of 6, another room with more tables set up, and the coolest was a big fire pit type round table which you can sit and eat at. Very neat! :D They also had arcade games, pinball, air hockey, and candy crane and a sticker machine which is fun for if you're waiting, or to play after you're done eating. My favorite part (aside from the food, of course) was that they had a big juke box in the middle of the restaurant!!! And with so many good songs, from classic rock to mid-90's pop/rock music! And at only .25 cents a song. 4 songs for a dollar! Very nice, i think i got a little too excited at the selection (so many bands i loved as a teen lol). As far as the food, it was all so delicious. Smokehouse pepperoni, salami, green onion, bbq, tomato and sausage on thin crust with their signature Parmesan Twists. Fresh, gourmet ingredients and cooked perfectly. Im editing this review because of previous experiences:: We love round table pizza! This locations costumer service... not so great. We have ordered to go and delivery multiple times and each time something is missing or incorrect. When we try to call back no one on the other end knows what to do or to just say.. "that's how it comes I guess". We've talked to a girl manager about how a previous time they have forgotten something in our order and all she could do was throw in a few more bread sticks. I mean... we didn't get something we paid for. We will continue to order from round table.. most likely a different location. The customer service is less than satisfactory. Constantly messing up orders or forgetting our orders completely, telling us they called us because they couldn't find our location but I didn't get any phone calls, we live less than a mile away.. and when they brought it back a second time, the guy couldn't tell us how much we owed him so I gave him an estimated amount of money. We called back to explain our situation.. we don't want to complain or get anyone into trouble but this has been an ongoing issue. The manager we spoke to going by "John" tried to give us whatever we wanted for free but, it's not the point. We don't want free food. We want the service to be what is expected. Not bad for chain-style pizza. I've had both the pizza and the lasagna and both were delicious. The pizza is a bit too greasy for my taste but still delicious. The actual dining area has a few television sets, a fireplace, a few arcade machines and some games. Not your typical fast food pizza joint. The parking lot is small, but if you arrive after the workday is over or during the weekend then it is not too bad. The prices are the reason that I can't give this place five stars. A large pizza will cost you about at least 20 bucks. read more
