This one star is based completely on their customer service. Their pizza was good, but their wings were gross. I went here last night with my son (3years old) and I was extremely disappointed! I realized that it was a Friday and was busy, but they had no control of the situation. I have a three year old, kids running all over the place doesn't bother me, but having to wait 1hour and 45mins for my food and having poor management was unacceptable!!!! I ordered their $20 meal deal which included a medium pizza one topping and two sides. I chose the salad bar and wings as my sides. There is a list of things that upset me about this place last night. 1. I waited 1hour and 45mins for my pizza and wings. With a hungry three year old I don't care how many games you let them play, they get impatient. 2. As I was waiting for my pizza and wings I tried to entertain my son with the games and they bused my table. My number was displayed like the lady informed me. So, now after 45mins I had to go complain that not only did my table get bused, but I no longer knew my number. 3. I had a salad bar but never got to use it because they ran out of lettuce and had to go cut some in the back. I waited and never saw any. The salad bar was a complete mess as well. 5. I had to go up to complain about 4 times and they just reassured me every time that it would be 20 more mins. If my son really didn't want pizza (which I tried to convince him in another pizza place) I would've left after the first complaint. I ended up telling them to box everything up and we ate at home. The carpet was extremely filthy and stained, the air conditioner was freezing, and kids were running around barefoot! It was 8:15pm and I overheard the cashier telling a costumer that they don't restock the salad bar at this time! If items are empty, they won't be refilled! I love the personal pan pizzas here! I went with mushrooms and garlic on mine and it came out nice and puffy with stretchy cheese and a really good tomato sauce. It was easy to devour the whole thing. They also do regular crust and thin crust with different sauces to choose from The AYCE pizza and salad buffet is a good deal at $9.99 for hungry people. I usually pickup a pizza from here at least once a week cause my kid loves the pizza - BUT just experienced HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE for the second time in a row, and I typically would pay more for better service, guess I'm on the hunt for a new go-to pizza place in the area.. placed an order online and went to pick it up, the guy at the counter was already helping a couple obnoxious customers as I patiently waited in line. He allowed two other men to cut in front of me and continued to assist them, rather then tell them that I had been waiting first. He actually said something to the 2nd older man that cut in front of me but still continued to ring him up - what?!?? Bad customer service skills! You not only acknowledged your bad but couldn't be man enough to actually do what was right? Totally disappointed a regular customer. When he did ring me up, I did say something but he just smiled about it. If he was young I'd chalk it up to not knowing better, but he wasn't! The only good thing that came out of it was a discussion with my 8 year old on how not to be rude and to do what is right. I'd give one star for customer service but gave an extra star for the actual pizza. Guess Gaetano's will be my new go-to pizza place, its in the same shopping area. I want to clearly state I was not upset in anyway shape or form until the manager became verbally abusive. I wanted to share some helpful information with the "number one person" in the store on January 4, 2021 at 3:40 PM. (Their description) There was some understandable confusion. The person taking my information did not record my apartment number. While attempting to get my credit card info, we had to review the correct numbers 3 times, and bring in a second person to get it correct on the 4th attempt. They also put the coupon code in incorrectly multiple times. They explained that it is difficult to hear on their end due to an outdated phone system. If that were the end of the story I would never mention it. Unfortunately, as a result of the miscommunication my pizza had not arrived after an hour. I called and simply stated what time I had placed my order and that my pizza had not yet arrived so I had begun to wonder if something had gone amiss, simply so we could fix it. I gave them the number of the apartment and asked why the delivery person had not called me when they arrived since A) I had requested they do so to make it easy for them to find my apartment, and B) they were supposed to have my phone #. They had repeated it back to me correctly. This is when I was informed they did not have my phone number or that it was incorrect. They said they would make a fresh pizza and get it out to me in 15 or 20 minutes which sounded great. I was ready to let the whole thing drop right there. I said I could understand how this had occurred since the other staff members (2) had shared it was hard to hear on their end. Frankly, this isn't the first time I've had this difficulty calling there and wondered aloud if the store had ever considered getting ear phones, headsets, or a new phone system ...whatever might help make things better for both the employees and the customers. I was not upset at all, just simply trying to help. Evidently he was busy and frustrated thinking I was complaining, which I was not. This person "in charge" didn't let me even begin to explain any of that, went from being terse from the start to immediately agitated/angry. He must've assumed I was going to complain, which I was not. He repeatedly asked me whether I wanted my pizza... in a very angry voice. I said yes and they asked if they could go make my pizza. I said I'm not upset what I would like is for you to just listen politely to me. He refused to do so, yelled at me, and used the F word. Then called back and asked for my credit card number so he could refund my money. At this point that seemed appropriate, but I did not feel comfortable giving this angry person my credit card information. I at least asked for his name since he said he was the person in charge. I wanted to be comfortable that if anything went awry with my credit card payment, I wouldn't know who to speak to when I called back to solve any issues that may arise. He refused to give me his name. The assistant manager took my call instead, listened patiently while I kindly explained this situation and she appeared to understand. She assured me my credit card payment had been canceled, gave me her name, yet refused to give me her manager's name. She was afraid to do so. This does not sound like a healthy work environment for anyone and is certainly not a business I want to work with ever again in the future. I can't believe I'm complaining because things are so stressful for everyone, my only intention was to commiserate with their difficulty but this was just completely inappropriate. It is now 4:13 and I have yet to eat today after starting work at 6:00. Ugh. If you're having to work in an environment like this I sincerely hope you're able to find a new position somewhere where they will treat you with more respect at your earliest opportunity. The staff has always been friendly and the food has always been awesome but tonight, it was hectic because of a school fundraiser. I was understanding about waiting twice as long as my online order stated because I saw the crowd and the young gentlemen at the register explained the situation. It was hot and there were rowdy children everywhere so I hurried home only to find that my Italian Garlic Supreme was made with red sauce... WHAAAAAT! No no! I called and the young gentlemen apologized and rushed my replacement. Round 2 was a knockout! This time my pizza didn't have green onions! No no! The "so-called" manager Ashley was unapologetic and very unprofessional! She had the audacity to laugh when I walked away. I'm sorry if I can't deal with people who are only given a manager title because being employed somewhere for 2 months is considered seniority. As a manager in hospitality, I deal with customer service daily and could not believe how she handled the situation. I'm writing back to give them a few extra stars, mainly because the owner contacted me after the original post and apologized for the situation and gave me free voucher for my next visit. So I appreciate the effort they made to remedy the situation. Still there are areas to improve on their delivery service though. I made another delivery request a few months back, this time through the internet... They couldn't find my house again! This time they called to let me know. I asked the address and they had gotten my street number wrong by one number. I double checked my online receipt and confirmed I entered in the correct address. I told them this but they said sometimes there are glitches in the online system. Either they need to fix the glitches, or someone is not paying attention to details. Nonetheless, at least this time they made the effort to call and complete the delivery. Dining in has been fine. I have not had any issues with this. But I would say just beware when doing deliveries and double check your order and call the store if there are any unexpected delays. read more

Wow, the customer service at this place has gone to horrible. I have been eating at this round table for 34 years. It was my go to pizza spot for a real long time. I ordered tonight at 5:45 and was told 20 minutes. I walked in at 6:05 on the dot, paid and was told it would be a few minutes. No problem, the cashier said they were a little backed up. I have been in customer service since I was 15 years old and still am till this day at 44 years old. So I always try and be a little extra patient. As I was waiting I noticed quite a bit of confusion going on behind the counter. I asked the young lady at the register if they were under new ownership. She said that they were. That would explain the decline in quality the last few times I ordered from there. I saw a pizza get taken back and the box opened and some guy throwing what appeared to be raw toppings on it. Then the cashier tells me my pizza is ready. I reluctantly opened the box to find raw onions thrown on top of my pizza. I told her this is unacceptable not to mention the fact that now it is 6:35. So not only did they mess up my pizza but it was half an hour past my quoted time. Fernando came over, who I believe is their mananager, he had a horrible attitude from the get go. Told me they would remake it. I declined and told him to just give me my money back. You could tell he was completely flustered and did not know how to react. I don't remember verbatim what he said but I cussed, not at him but in general out of pure frustration and at this point anger. He starts admonishing me like a child and saying that it is not okay to cuss in his store. I immediately apologized for it and he would not leave it alone. Told me 7 or 8 times that it is not okay to say a bad word. Let's not lose site here why I cussed. Was I beyond frustrated and border line angry with the ineptness of this restaurant. Quite yes. If he would've just been honest from the get go and said, hey man, sorry for making you wait half an hour past your estimated time and sorry for messing up your pizza. Pretty inadequate service.. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and asked if they would arrange the pepperoni to write two simple words so I could surprise someone with a message on the pizza... turns out they delivered my pizza to the wrong person and I got a simple 12" pepperoni. Which is fine, but it's not what I asked for, and what I asked for wasn't that complicated. My two year old could have written a short message on a pizza. They just shrugged at me and said "oops". Usually I'm not picky with this stuff but I paid $23 for a pizza to be prepared a certain way and it wasn't. No manager came and spoke to me (which I'm pretty sure he was right there in the kitchen). Today we tried to order online and the code from the below ad wasn't working, so I called the Tierrasanta location for assistance. The guy on the phone was very nice and said they would honor it, I would just need to show the deal on my phone. We got there and the manager stepped in to decline the offer starting they only honor deals they have texted or emailed. They had already made the "free" medium pizza and the manager refused to give it to us and honor what his employee told us. What kind of management is this? I have never eaten so much pizza in my life! The pizza is nothing short of comfort food, and I ended the night perfectly fat and happy. They have a bunch of pizzas to pick from on the buffet, and I saw a bunch of yummy sounding pizzas when I glanced at the regular menu. They also had these cheesy bread chunks that tasted even better smothered in even more cheese. To be fair, I put more parmesan on all the pizza there, but it was doubly awesome on the little bread chunks. I didn't see much of the wait staff, but didn't really need them for anything but water.
