Childhood memories. So when I was growing up in SF, my friends and I would always go to the local Round Table. Well I left Hawaii before they opened the Round Table in Waipahu so I had to get me fix here. Located near Hotel Circle, it's close. Just drive past Fashion Valley Mall. The place is small and so is the parking lot. The restaurant shares parking with several business so it might get tight. I went on a Sunday so it wasn't too bad but the bar was open next door and the patrons took half the spots. Anyway the restaurant is small compared to the others I've been in. Seating for maybe 30 and no video games but plenty of flat screen TVs. Just like the old Shakey's pizza on video games. I know you read that review right? The monthly discount presently (Oct 2018) is a speciality pizza with 2 drinks for $25. It was too much food for me so as I was looking at the menu, the cashier/pizza chef told me I could get a medium specialty for $2 off. That was good enough for me because I really wanted a King Arthur supreme minus olives and as no surprise to some of you I got anchovies. Hey there's anchovies in Caesar salad dressing people!!! 15 mins later, the cashier hands me my pizza and off I went back to the hotel. I noticed the box was heavy when it was handed to me. I didn't think twice about it until I opened my box. Holy $&#%!!!This thing is packed. There was so much toppings in this medium pizza I felt I would have to unhinge my jaw to eat a slice. Trust me this thing was layered and layered with goodies. The crust was perfectly cook and held pretty good with all that weight. All the toppings were perfectly cooked. I couldn't find one burnt pepperoni and the cheese melted nicely to keep all the stuff together. The pizza was soo good. I can't wait to go back. Definitely my go to pizza place when I stay at hotel circle area. Overall four stars. The outside of the restaurant could use some improvement but the service and food rock. Pizza was delicious and I love custom ordering my toppings! Male teenage worker was VERY disrespectful towards me. I paid for my pizza, walked to my car, opened it to check and they forgot green onions (I paid extra for it). I walked back to the store and I asked if they could quickly add some on. The cashier takes the pizza to the teenage boy in the back. The boy points and me in front of everyone and laughs and says "she brought her pizza back for this wtf". He keeps laughing at me. I told him, "it's rude to laugh at customers... I paid for green onions and I happen to enjoy them". He yells back at me, "I WASNT LAUGHING AT YOU". I said "please don't argue with me I just want green onions and I saw you point at me". He says, "whatever" and mutters cuss words under his breath. I said to the cashier who's watching all this "you shouldn't treat female customers like this or any customer period! It's so rude!" And he nods and is silent. He seemed stunned. I was embarrassed and SHAMED for wanting to add something on my pizza that they forgot and I paid for. This happened a few months ago and I haven't been back since because I feel uncomfortable to step foot inside this location. Maybe I'll go to another location in the future :/. Round Table Pizza - Delicious pizza once I finally got my green onions!!! - Pizza Near Me - San Diego, California

So here's the deal: the pizza here is solid, though overpriced. But the staff... oh the staff. Experience #1: Ordered pizza for delivery via the website. Hour goes by, no pizza. Called store to inquire, and are told "we don't deliver to that area." Umm... well I'm only two miles away and your website allowed me to place the order. Also why didn't you call me after receiving the order if you don't deliver here? They ended up sending a driver out after complaining. But if we hadn't called they would have charged us without ever delivering the pizza. Experience #2: Ordered pizza for takeout via website. Right before leaving we realized one of the pizzas was missing a topping. When we asked about it we were told "that pizza doesn't come with olives." Yes, well your website let us customize it and add olives. This seemed very difficult for them to understand, and eventually they added some olives to the top of the pizza. During this same encounter, we couldn't help but overhear a complaint from another customer who was charged the incorrect tax, and also witnessed a delivery driver try to first give a pizza to a customer who was already in the store (what?), and then head out for a delivery without the pizza (thankfully one of the other staff caught him in time.) Look, the pizza is pretty good and a couple weird experiences aren't going to ruin my life. But the high price combined with the general incompetent staff is probably going to make this place a pass for me in the future. A cursory look at other reviews quickly tells me my experience is not unique, and has been ongoing at this place for years. read more

This has to be one of the worst run businesses I have ever dealt with. I love their pizza but their customer service especially their delivery is the worst ever. I have ordered pizza from them the day they opened and over time when you call for delivery they say it will be an hour and half for delivery every time, most people just hang up and say don't bother! When you say that's OK they still don't deliver! Example: called tonight at 9.00pm and they said it will take an hour half for delivery and my wife said OK we put the order in and they just didn't even show up and no phone call nothing. This has to be the third time this scenario has happened! Either the management doesn't care or they don't know how their business is being run, either way they don't deserve to still have the doors open. Great product, over priced and their customer service is beyond terrible. Don't ever order from this business, they don't deserve to say they have delivery capabilities. I hope the management reads this review and does something about changing the way they deal with customer complaints. If not good bye you deserve to be out of business and lose the investment you put in! I will never call or show my presence again at this location. I'm sure there are plenty of other people that feel the same way, but don't want to waste their time or effort in complaining. Sad state of affairs when a business is run this poorly! read more

Great place to hangout with family and friends . I personally love there customer service and the food is great . I highly recommend trying there pepperoni pizza , salad , & wings . I had pizzas delivered tonight, 2 of them were good, but mine was awful, I ordered extra mushrooms & easy sauce, I got very few mushrooms and it was soaking in sauce. I gagged through half of it (personal size) but was so grossed out at this soggy pie. I went online to give feedback. I had no receipt and needed on to complete a survey, went to give feedback and it wouldn't load. So frustrating! I am sorry I have not gotten back sooner. I know everyone has more limited hours during this Covid thing. I was just tired & it was too late to call & have them fix it. I have ordered twice since then & everything has been great. Don't use the online ordering system. I ordered stuffed crust online and it was regular. I personally think that the regular crust taste like a cheap frozen pizza and the stuffed crust seems to be fresh made dough. Unfortunately, when I called saying I ordered stuffed crust, they told me it didn't so that means there is something wrong with the online ordering. If I do order from here again I will call but won't be my first choice to order pizza from. read more

Very unprofessional they had a guy working at the register that went to the back to make pizzas and didn't wash their hands and I asked the other coworkers to see what they said about him not washing his hands and they said he did when I clearly saw him not and also he touched the cheese and the manger Austin lied . When staying at a resort in San Diego and returning from the beach hungry and sunburned we decided to order pizza. Unfortunately it fell a little flat. We were quoted 45 minutes and it arrived closer to 65 minutes. The pizza was decent but nothing spectacular. We tried their version of a Hawaiian pizza with the Polynesian sauce and it was yummy. My customer service experience through the phone was absolutely terrible. It started with the moment she answered the phone. She asked if she could put me on hold, and before I even said "yes" she had already put me on hold. Then, when I was in the middle of ordering trying to figure out how much everything was going to be, the girl who I was talking to was very rude and very pressuring. One large pizza with 12 wings was over $40, so when I told her that I would call back, she immediately just hung up. I would never order through the phone with this place knowing that you guys might spit in my food or something just because I was unsure of how much I wanted to pay for something. read more

Like others, I've waited to make a review after several visits. I love RT pizza for their unique and fresh flavors and was so excited to see this location go up! Modern clean restaurant, ok parking (park up the hill in the lot off of via las cumbres), and yummy beers. However the let down as another reviewer mentioned, is the customer service. It must be that the staff is young, but if you want to have returning customers you can't let them leave unhappy. I really really really want to love this place and return, but with the already pricey pizza (which I could get from my new SD faves) - even the coupons RT sends can't get me to return. Tip: Make sure to let them know you are using a coupon, when you order, when you walk in the door, before you pay, and after you pay. I have got delivery a bunch of times from this place. Half the time the driver couldn't find our place. As such, we stopped using this place for delivery. However, I like going here and sitting down and eating on site. It is smaller than the Round Table joints I grew up going to but it still has that Round Table feel, with the exception of the salad bar. I wish these guys had the Round Table salad bar. I really wish these guys would figure out how to get that salad bar in this place! With all of these complaints why are they getting 5 stars?!?!?!? Honestly, every time I have eaten here, the food is great and the service is great too. Just like it was when I was a kid in the Bay Area. Solid 3 and 1/2 Stars on this Round Table Pizza lunch buffet. The only reason that I didn't give them a 4-star was because they didn't have the unlimited salad bar it was a pre-made salad. The server and the manager were extremely friendly, and they even went through the restaurant asking anybody if there was another type of pizza they like to have for the buffet bar, I thought that was pretty cool. Pepsi not Coke so that's a thing, the restroom was gender-neutral and you know how I feel about that so I won't go there. But there was a great sign on the door that I didn't get a chance to take a photo of, it had the Man symbol and the Woman symbol and it said "whatever just wash your hands! " Which I really got a kick out of. Anyway not a bad deal at all for $10 lunch buffet, just wish they had the salad bar. read more

Round Table is by far my favorite pizza chain restaurant. They do not compare to the other chains such as Dominos, Paper Johns, Pizza Hut etc. 2020 has been a crazy one but Round Table has kept me sane. The crust to cheese ratio on their pizzas is true art. If the pandemic wasn't going on and / or there was another fat stimulus check I would probably buy so many more pizzas. I used to go to Round Table as a child in OC, but for some reason this Friars location hits differently. This is seriously one of my favorite West Coast Pizza Chains. I'm not super hip on all of their pizzas but, one in particular I just can't stay away from. Food- Good. I mostly come for the Maui Zaui pizza with Polynesian sauce. AMAZING!! Beautiful blend of toppings with that sweet and tangy sauce. I always like to get a medium or bigger because people can't stop with this pizza. The rest of their pizzas are just ok. I always find myself wishing I had ordered just two of the Maui Zaui pizzas. Garlic Knots are bomb. Very good, definitely a must have add on. Location- Great, not too far from my house. Not the closest pizza joint but, I'm willing to drive the extra few miles. It's inside of a strip mall so the parking is very easy. Price- pretty pricey for pizza and not the for the biggest amount really. I paid over 25$ for garlic knots and a medium specialty. Go for the large. Also ask if they are running any specials. Service- it was great. we picked up a call in order. Ate some of it there and took the rest to go. We had other errands to run but,wanted something good and fast and this was perfect. They seemed very friendly through out the whole process and even brought us plates when we made a last min decision to sit down and have a slice or two before heading on our way after first saying we would carry out. Cleanliness- This is a new store and everything looked pretty clean and new. Overall, I don't love all their pizza combos but, def have my fav items here. Idk the deal about previous complaints or low ratings but I can tell you, today after ordering my pizza and three garlic twists, I am one happy camper. I ordered carry-out and the pizza was nice and hot, ready in 20 mins. YES. Place wasn't too busy inside but tvs were on, showing relevant Sunday fare. Customer service was friendly and efficient. What a bummer that the Round Table recipe is no longer evident. What used to be the best pizza ever in 1980 is nowhere near what it was. The pizza is delicious. I always enjoy the pizza at this location. BUT there is one problem. They have terrible silver metal chairs that are low to the floor and not large enough for the average adult. They need to get rid of those chairs. The booths are in bad shape too.
