But, when you dine alone a lot like i do, and sit at the bar to eat, Dana is your go to bartender. So knowledgeable! Makes a amazing Martini!! Most bartenders I tell that I want a Vodka Martini and just rinse the glass with vermouth look at me sideways. Not Dana. She knew exactly what I needed in my martini. It was the best martini I have had in a long time. For my main course I asked for a white blend. She immediately told me it tasted like a Reisling. How much did I appreciate her for not spending 11.00 on a glass of wine I wouldn't like ? I hate reislings (no offense to reisling lovers). i love the icob in boston, so was excited to try the newer location in burlington with my family for easter brunch. overall i ended up being disappointed with the service and food, and would probably just go into boston instead to get the value for the price. the service was definitely off. we placed our orders, and my mom ordered something highly customized. the waiter brought out my dad's fried clams and what was clearly my mom's dish, and since they were waiting for the rest of our food to arrive my dad used his fingers to pick out a few clams to eat. all of a sudden the waiter returned and said that these were not in fact our dishes, took them away, and then my dad saw them deliver the clams to another table. so gross. once we finally got the right plates on the table, i was glad that my shrimp and grits came with huge bbq shrimp, but they were a bit overcooked. my husband seemed to enjoy his meal, but after the fact cannot remember what he had. read more

I come here all the time and already rave about how good it is. Their dollar oysters are worth far more. Today I had to write a review because our waitress Katie was amazing and the kitchen had made a minor mistake with our tacos. The manager Meghan was so great about it she took all our tacos off the check. Not only that she heard that we were visiting family in the hospital and gave us plenty of pastries to take back. One of my favorite seafood restaurants in Massachusetts. They always have the best variety of oysters, the drinks are meticulously created and the clam chowder is hands down one of my favorites. Pleasantly surprised with this jewel of an awesome seafood restaurant north of Boston in Burlington near the Burlington Mall. The decor and atmosphere was nice. Order a dozen oysters on half shell, lobster toe noodles, wife order the fish sandwich and kids had the Colorado Angus burgers. All cooked to perfection, tasty, delicious and fresh. Had several variety of oysters and the Island Creek oysters were the best. The waitstaff were awesome. Friendly, courteous, professional and attentive. Highly recommend the ICOB if you're looking for a great seafood restaurant in Burlington Massachusetts. Can't wait to comeback to the restaurant again...soon. read more

I went there for my wife's birthday and sorry to say I will not be back. After eating a few of the fried clams I realized that they were not cooked. The rest of the clams were clumped together in a big ball of uncooked clams and soupy flour. Unfortunately the restaurant manager saw this and scoped them off the table before I was able to take a picture. I was disappointed as this restaurant came highly recommended. Hostess was welcoming and ambiance is very good. Wednesday evening, nowhere near full. My waiter was not attentive. I waited to order a drink and I waited for that drink to come. Then I waited to order oysters. They were out of the oysters I wanted and the waiter then told me about the other oysters that were out or low stock. What would have been nice -- especially with more than a dozen types in the menu -- would have been some recommendations. I waited for the oysters and they were good. I was going to order dinner but ended up ordering the half lobster and another drink. Lobster, small, came pretty quickly and drink again took a while. Fish & chips were good but cole slaw was bland. Salmon was ok but bland and sides were cold. During the entire time we only saw the bartender/waiter once when we were already finished with whatever we found edible and asked if we wanted a drink as our glass was empty for at least 15 mins or more.yes, they were busy but at least they could've acknowledged it to us. The bar is amazing and so were the oyster sliders. I had the lobster roe noodles after seeing how popular the dish was. It was delicious, just wished it came hotter in temperature. The place is actually right behind the burlington mall, and it does have a huge parking lot so transportation wont be an issue, unlike the chain store in fenway. There is a coffee shop right next to this place so if you are on waiting list for like 45 min you can go to the coffee shop to take a break and be prepared for the food. Im not a huge fan of oyster and I'm not able to tell how oyster here is different from what i got from legal seafood except for the higher prices here (between 3-3.5 per piece compared to 2 per piece at legal). The platter for four tastes good, but costing $88 that wasn't really for four but it served merely for two. The shrimp cocktail is great. The grilled salmon here is thick. The service is great here. My waitress was Zoey and she delivered top tier service. Overall great, and I do realize the higher price included ambience and upscale feeling, but price/food ratio too high so I drop 1 star read more

This is a local favourite for us. We entertain friends and clients here regularly. The food is outstanding. The burger (yes burger at the oyster bar) was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The oysters...fresh and yummy, while I do wish they had a happy hour or $1 oyster hour sometimes! Service is knowledgeable and attentive. Certainly on the high end of dining spots in Burlington but worth it. Almost forgot to mention...they make a killer Whiskey Sour and Old Fashioned, not your average bar drink either! read more

I usually go to Island Creek near Fenway, it is always really crowded! Well, I happened to be in Burlington and found another Island Creek here, thanks to Yelp!! It was around 3pm so they had their mid day menu, which meant limited options. But hey, I was hungry and I was going to make it work! I headed over there with a few friends. Since its out in the burbs, parking was free. There was absolutely no wait at all. We had 3 seating options: outdoors, indoors in the lounge, indoors in the dining area. We opted to sit in the lounge, which had high tables. This location is beautiful, just like the Fenway one. We started off with oysters, you can never go wrong with the oysters here. I asked them to recommend the biggest, juices oysters and they sure did. We had the Island Creek Oysters and one more.. I don't remember the name unfortunately. For my main course, I had the lobster roll. Did I have the warm or cold one? I had the warm one, because I prefer warm lobster rolls. It came with these delicious chips that were thinly sliced and fried. For the mid-day menu, you are pretty much limited to 2 mains, the burger or lobster roll (hot or cold), raw bar, and clam chowder. There are a few more items on the list but I didn't' really care for those. But hey, it was delicious and filling. Overall, Island Creek is awesome, and I am so glad to have found another location. read more

We came here to try a new place, even though, ironically, 2/3 of our dining party is allergic to shellfish. The strong Yelp reviews and pier-side chic decor had us excited for our meal. Even though no other patrons were waiting, we had to wait a while for our 7:30 reservation to be honored. Probably just bad luck. But, they had to carry a chair in to turn our corner booth into a table for three. It was a bit tight. Things went south from there. Ordered sparkling water, they brought still. No one checked on our table for 15 minutes to take cocktail orders (or to let me request the right water). The bread ratio was way off on the Fried Oyster sliders - you couldn't taste the oysters without discarding the bread. Same on the lobster roll. All three entrees - Lobster Roll ($32) Grilled Salmon ($31) and Herb Crusted Cod ($28) were bland. Not awful, just not noteworthy in any way, and especially not for the price. The salmon was represented as prepared Medium to Medium Rare. It came out well done; the second one came out as sushi. That's no different than Capital Grill killing a Filet and then sending the replacement out bloody. Are you asking us to send it back a second time? You're a seafood restaurant - know how to cook seafood to the right temperature. And it took a good 15 minutes for the replacement to arrive. They clearly just put it back in the queue, instead of putting it at the front of the line of orders to arrive as quickly as possible. As I look through, most of the reviews are about the drinks and the oysters. Maybe it's best as a place for just that, after work or shopping. As a premium seafood restaurant, it fell way short. read more

We also had the fried oysters which where super fresh and cooked to perfection. The tarter sauce is probably the best I've ever had. We had a fried green tomato blt on a brioche roll, very tasty and fried green tomatoes where cooked perfectly. I'm definitely a seafood snob and have eaten ate some stellar seafood places across New England ... And I would highly recommend this place for seafood. I could have used a little more mayo on mine -super light on that.Yes it costs some loot but you are getting looks to me like whole chicken lobster or at least 3/4 of one. Certainly one of the best lobsters rolls I have had - and I am raised in the Boston area so I love me some lobster rolls. Ended meal with multilayered carrot cake. Perfect sweetness and thickness of cake with cream cheese frosting . Service attentive friendly and flexible. I couldn't decide on wine and waiter gave me free tasting (literally of 3 wines). Brought out 3 wine glasses with a generous taste of each. Now that's service. For apps although no fried oysters on menu they only had fried oysters crostini. My dinner partner asked if kitchen could give her fried oysters with salad which they happily made and charged her same as fried clam strips for 6 oysters . I really appreciate restaurants who are willing to accommodate customers. Worth the trek. Would absolutely come back in a heartbeat.
