Just moved to the area, and the boy and I were in the mood for breakfast in bed. However, I have no pots or pans, and definitely no eggs, bacon etc. Yelp solves all problems! Found Rox online, called in an order and drove over to pick it up. The menu options at this place is key! We wanted to try everything! Instead ended up with: Banana and Nutella French Toast - more like a dessert than breakfast, but unreal anyways! Eggs Bolly - It is eggs benedict with corned beef hash instead of ham. Very good (even for takeout!) Hollandaise rocked, and corned beef hash had great flavor Eggs and Sausage - Its the boy's "go-to" order for judging a new restaurant. He loved it, and that says a lot. Oh! and the hash browns that come with it were AMAZING! Fresh squeezed OJ - So much better than stuff from the carton! we will be back for sure...now if only we would convince them to deliver my Sunday mornings would be perfect! read more

Hands down, the BEST breakfast I've ever had! I'm asian, so our breakfast is pretty much like our dinner, a bowl of rice and a dish to go with it (at least thats how i eat my asian breakfast). When i found this hidden jewel right next to my cousin's nail salon(surprise!) i was excited yet skeptical because I've never had a "real" american breakfast. My first order at Rox was an Al's Forklift, which consists of 3 eggs, 4 pieces of Bacon, 3 sausages and ham and i enjoyed every bite of that forklift. my second order, which i just finished about 10 minutes prior to writing this review, was a breakfast combo called The Rox (2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 pieces of bacon and a short brioche french toast), it kind of tasted like Al's forklift but i like it better than the Al's forklift since it has the brioche french toast. I have a feeling this place is 4-5 star worthy but for now its a 3. Pros: great menu,homemade,fresh squeezed OJ. Cons: very little seating,long wait. I ordered the big rig. This consisted of pancakes,eggs,sausage,bacon,potatoes and toast. Potatoes were excellent and so was the sausage. I chose the specialty pancakes(banana choc chip mascarpone) which were way too sweet. They gave me sour dough instead of multi grain toast which I do not enjoy. The eggs were very rubbery. I think i would go back and order something different next time. I would also never go back on a weekend. Waited over an hour for a table and another hour to eat. The waitress took our drinks off the bill and apologized for the long wait which I feel was great customer service. Overall a mediocre experience. read more

What a joy to be able to return to a favorite neighborhood restaurant and find the food even better than you remembered! That is true of the Rox Diner. My wife and I found a table with ease by showing up after the morning breakfast rush. We've been twice in the past 10 days, and each time ordered a different combination of dishes. Two that I have to call out as especially terrific - the homemade corned beef has and eggs because that meal will get you through your day and, the buttermilk pancakes, with or without fruit but by all means ask for the real maple syrup. The staff are young, friendly and attentive. The portions are generous, and the prices are very fair. This is what we all need to get us going again after being shut in for so long. read more

I love love this place. I am here all the time, bringing my family or meeting a friend. The egg bennys are great, any kind you get is awesome. My fave is the corned beef!!!! Recently I tried the Tahiti french toast with toasted coconut and mango YUM.. the Mimosas are great but be careful lol. Its a small comfortable place so be prepared to wait in line. LOVE THIS PLACE! I highly recommend getting the Eastern breakfast sandwich, or the "Big Rig". The home fries are literally one of the best I have ever had. The staff is always friendly. If you go in often they will learn your name & your order and always greet you kindly. It's a tiny diner so it can get very busy. Especially on weekends. Usually there is a line out of the door but that just goes to show how good they are! I have recommended this place to so many people & every time they come back to me and say the place was amazing! I would've given them a 4 star review because the food was good BUT we were being harassed by a fly at our table! It was non stop flying around the table near our food. I told the waitress and she could care less and kinda joked about it. I asked if they had a fly swatter because I was getting so sick of it. The waitress came out and gave the fly swatter to my 10 year old and said she isn't good using one. So during our meal my son is trying to kill this damn fly! And she kept coming by joking about it because now my son was making this a game trying to find and kill the fly. #1 option for this waitress was to MOVE OUR TABLE! The diner wasn't full at all. Secondly, kill the thing yourself and DO NOT GIVE THE CUSTOMER A FLY SWATTER TO KILL A FLY DURING THE MEAL. Even if I thought the food was amazing, I wouldn't ever return. The only reason I don't give them 4 stars is because their supposedly fresh squeezed orange juice is so obviously not fresh and frankly is a notch below what I buy in supermarket. Best. Breakfast. Ever. I'm drooling just thinking about it. I've never had anything at Rox Diner that I didn't love. It's everything I look for in a diner: cheap, delicious, excellent service and kid-friendly (complete with mickey mouse pancakes or, in the winter, snowmen). The only thing that bums me out is the wait on some weekend mornings but that can't really be helped with food that good and a space so small. I haven't had dinner there yet but their lunch is great as well. (Tip: I'm not a chicken salad person but my friend, who is a HUGE chicken salad fan, said that theirs is the best he's had.) I'm always on the lookout for a good breakfast place, and have a special place in my heart for diners, so the Rox Diner was a must try. It really isn't a diner, in the classic sense. No old rail road car or stainless steel exterior. It is a very small store front that serves a decent breakfast. And it really is small. Be prepared to get to know your fellow diners because there may be only 18 inches separating you. They offer a decent amount of choices, from the usual omelette's and pancakes, to Irish Breakfast. I love a good hash and they had a turkey hash on the menu, something you don't see at a lot of places, but when done well can be great. Their version was very light, almost ground to a smooth consistency. It was seasoned well, but not something I would order again. Hash should have some chunks in it. Their omelette's were solid, definitely hitting the spot. Service and prices were very strong. Overall a three star stop. read more

Best breakfast in town! This is my First yelp post. I only signed up so that I could share how much I love this place. What do I like about it: They use free range eggs. Free Range eggs taste 1000x better than those dollar a dozen eggs. My Children love the Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes. I like the T-shirts that they wear, "I was born a Scramblin man," and the sign on the wall, "you break my eggs, I step on your face!" What I DID not like about it: It was too small; I have 4 children and it was starting to feel cramped in there. This is based solely on the service.... I have tried to come here twice in June. Both times there appeared to be a wait as I did not see any open tables. I waited near the door since there is no waiting area or place to sit. Nobody acknowledged me so finally I left. This happened again the following weekend. There are young girls who were waitressing and though they walked right by me not one of them acknowledged me. Never again. We started off with drinks, they gave me ginger ale was terrible. I asked for a different ginger ale and the new one tasting as worst as the first one. My friend asked for an orange juice and it had pulp so she asked for an apple juice as a replacement, and they still charged her for the orange juice. This is my all time favorite place to eat breakfast in the area. Whenever I stay in Boston I always have to stop by here with friends and have brunch. The portions are big, the price is reasonable, and the service is great. The only downfall is that you might have to wait in line for a while and it can get cramped. FANTASTIC.....MUST GO.... We waited Sunday for 40 minutes, it was worth EVERY MINUTE....waitresses we're great very friendly. The food was so fresh, you could taste the freshness. We ordered farmer omelet, small stack French toast, corned beef stuffed omelet . Everything was wonderful, cooked correctly. The freshest toast ever. French toast was Texas toast, cooked ALL the way thru, no mushy center. They are planning on expanding, can't wait. We will defiantly visit again, the lunch/dinner menu looked very interesting. I was hoping to really fall in love with this place, but alas it did not happen, but it is a solid breakfast spot. I had the brioche stuffed french toast with banana and cream cheese and the bf had the lamborghini omelet with potatoes and toast. The french toast was pretty good, but not stellar - the filling was tasty but the bread was dry. The toast that came with the eggs was also very very buttery, don't me wrong, I like my butter, but this was A LOT. The coffee was also kind of bland. I do agree that it is a cute little diner place with a good local vibe...but I wouldn't venture out of my way again to eat there.
