We loved Rox Diner. Extensive menu that includes all the diner faves, sprinkled with some Jewish and Irish faves too! Moderate prices, excellent table service, and clean bathrooms. Thanks for all that.

This was the kids meal. Two cheese burgers. It was awesome.

I love this place. Good food with a friendly staff in a comfortable setting. The thing is that they have really good quality food sourced locally. The menu is extensive for breakfast, brunch or lunch. So many choices. I had the farmers omelette that was delicious. I am sure they pickle their own pickles. The sourdough bread was fabulous as well as the potatoes. I need to go back for lunch. They had a house made vegetarian burger with sweet potatoes and black beans. I get it's the bomb. Good find.

Visiting town from Florida for work and stumbled across this charming diner! The amazing Rebecca was my server and she was fantastic! The 90s r&b jams was the cherry on my sundae. She asked my name from the start and used it the whole time, nice touch Rebecca! I ordered the G.O.A.T and side of fries, simple and perfect! And just get the pancake when she recommends it, you won't regret it I got mine to go for dessert later

    Grilled Reuben - $12 as of 8/2022

Great diner although it can get busy! Prices are good and the staff was friendly. Items we ordered (as of 8/2022) - The Big Rig - $14 - Pancakes were phenomenal with just the right amount of sweetness. Crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Eggs were cooked to order perfectly as well. Great value for the price. - Grilled Reuben - $12 - Darn tasty. Corned beef was delicious and the size was great for the price. Got the cole slaw as the side which was okay but nothing special. I'd get fries next time. Overall for the price you pay this is a great location for a fantastic brunch.

All the white of the egg was cooked. The yellow was just runny enough. We got onions in our home fries and they were grilled Just perfect as well. The coffee was never ending the hubby ended up getting the Scott special which has three eggs, sausage, patties, toast, and red home fries potatoes. This is definitely a hidden jewel in Dedham. I'm probably making a mistake putting on this review because people are going to find it and I will never be able to get in the door again. The servers name was Jane. She was out of this world right on top of everything. Our coffee cup was never empty. That to me is the best part of any meal going out. Looking forward to coming back. They are closed from July 2nd to July 18th for vacation also. Check them out u won't be disappointed.

Typical nostalgic decor with entertainers of the 1950s, keeping with the diner's name. -- Patty Melt: This is the reason I came, as I'm searching for great ones, and theirs is right up there. American cheese (a little outside the standard Swiss), choice of bread (I went marble rye), and optional add-ons (I chose grilled onions, which you'd think would be standard). Excellent execution. Griddled bread with just enough butter, just enough crunch, and no sogginess. Beef soft, with a loose grind, cooked to a juicy medium rare, and with nice beef flavor (too many diner versions use stiff, el cheapo patties; this was quality sourcing a couple steps up). And melty cheese and soft onions complementing while letting the beef sing loudest. No one ingredient was artisanal-level premium, but every aspect was handled beautifully. -- Fries (included with the Patty Melt): Alas, the dreaded "coated" kind, an obvious frozen product. Hot, crisp, and plentiful, so it could've been worse. No biggie; the patty melt was good enough for this not to matter. I can't emphasize enough how well-run the place is. The friendly veteran servers move like clockwork and could easily drop a "honey" on you with every interaction, but that would merely add a delay. Instead, they show their dedication with sincere smiles, initiative, and time-learned precision. It's a joy to behold. Normally I'd hold off on a 5 based on such a small sample size, but the food and shakes I saw going out all looked good, and that service excellence cliched it.

South Street Diner was one of the few places open that early, so I decided to give it a try. Parking was easy at that hour, and I thought it was kind of cool seeing a classic diner tucked in among all the large office buildings downtown. I was in the mood for pancakes and ended up ordering the diner special with eggs over medium, home fries, corned beef hash, bacon, and pancakes. Unfortunately, the food was mostly average to below average. The eggs were a little underdone, the home fries were slightly overcooked in spots, and the toast was pretty standard diner fare. The homemade salsa was actually a nice touch and added some flavor to the potatoes. The biggest disappointment was the corned beef hash. I was hoping for something homemade, but it reminded me of the canned version I grew up eating. The texture and flavor just weren't for me, and I ended up leaving most of it behind. The pancakes were okay but a little dense and doughy, nothing particularly memorable. On the positive side, the coffee was decent, the service was fine, and being open early is definitely a plus for travelers. Overall, I'd put this one close to 3 stars. It's convenient if you need breakfast before sunrise, but the food didn't quite live up to what I was hoping for.

I came on a Tuesday before noon there was no wait and the place was half empty. We were seated quickly but waited a long time for our food. We started with the cheesy tater tots. They were good. 4 to an order is kind of small but they tasted good. The cheese sauce was reminiscent of velveeta. For mains we got the gochujang chicken sandwich and the pastrami sandwich. The chicken sandwich was cooked well and large in size but underwhelming in flavor. The pastrami sandwich was spicy but had a lot of flavor going on but wasn't memorable. The waffle fries were hot and crisp with a nice seasoning to them. Served with a big half sour pickle. I would go back and try other things. I can't make a full judgement on a sandwich at a place that specializes in brunch so I would try it again. I think this would be a super fun spot to meet with the girlies. It had a few flight options on drinks that looked interesting.

Literally! I was TODAY years old when I learned that Forest Hills Diner has some amazingggggggggg food. I flew in this morning to check on my grandmother and decided to grab breakfast with one of my best friends before heading over. She had been raving about Forest Hills Diner, so of course, I had to go. It was early in the morning, so the foot traffic was slow. The restaurant was very clean, and as soon as we opened the door, the gentleman behind the counter was very welcoming, offering a warm greeting and a big smile. As I was at the counter exploring the menu, I was excited to see the variety of options offered. There literally was so much to choose from, and I wanted one of everything. LoL! However, I decided to get the Beef Smoked Sausage on an English Muffin with Home Fries, add Onions, Extra Onions, Well Well Well Done... The Beef Sausage was well done and juicy. The smokiness was super flavorful and let the natural beef flavor shine, yet it held its own lane as well. The sandwich also had a generous portion of meat and was well worth the price. The Home Fries were absolutely amazing. They were done the exact way I ordered them. They were very well seasoned and the crispiness of the edges paired with the softness of the middle, OhEmGeeeeeeeeeeee... I want more now. LoL!!! As I was eating, the foot traffic definitely picked up, and it was so heart-warming to see the guy behind the counter welcome people by name as they walked through the door. This is a representation of TRUE service. The kind of survive that you don't see anymore. Not to mention, the charm of a local spot where the people know your name.
