Had a very unpleasant encounter with a Royal Heir and Heating driver in a parking lot. While we were trying to back into a spot in a mostly empty lot with only our two cars around, their driver tailgated us closely and impatiently passed. As he drove by, he rolled down his window and shouted an offensive slur at us. We moved aside to let him pass, yet after parking, he still got out and continued to yell more slurs and insults. Completely uncalled for and extremely unprofessional behavior -- especially from someone representing a company vehicle with the business name and slogan "Where we treat you like royalty" printed on the side. Everyone has bad days, but there's no excuse for this level of hostility. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing business with a company whose representatives behave like this in public. read more

They are scammers and liars - They refuse to honor the warranty for the $1700 work they did last year, just because I previously left a 3 star review! And their work did fail - two different refrigerant leakage spots just under one year later! Besides, there was a kink on pipe installed by them, blocking refrigerant to flow. It requires enormous effort to fix it. At first, Jacqueline recklessly claimed that they didn't provide any service to me at all. She was lying. Later Danny said they did do work for me, but because I left a non-positive review, they deny the request of service. Lastly, they said because I had someone else fix the blower fan issue (completely different equipment), they want to void my warranty for their freon refilling work. The previous communication with Jacqueline was terrible, she was unresponsive, made me wait without the intention of getting back to me, and didn't make it clear about fees until I asked. STAY AWAY WHILE YOU CAN! If you are unfortunate enough to have their project already started, make sure to use credit cards to pay, so that you can dispute later in case something happens - another Yelp reviewer successfully won the dispute through the credit card company. read more

Okay Royal Heir & Heating I have used previously to rescue me from cooking alive in my home. Yesterday I woke up frozen, this time the furnace decided to die on me. Straight on the phone to Danny and an appt the next day for 8.00am. There were other company's willing to come out same day but only for an extortionate call out charge and repairs on top, no thanks I don't know them I definitely don't trust them. This morning got a text saying on way but would be 30 mins late, I appreciate the contact prior to arrival. Danny arrived as scheduled, got to work and had my boiler working inside 30 minutes but while we talked it failed again. Not an issue Danny was in his truck off to the store to get the part needed. 45 Minutes later the boiler is purring away and heat emanating from every opening in my house Ahhhhh Joy!! I have said on my first review I will say it again, this guy is first class and as honest as the day is long he could have charged a small fortune but he took the time to detail the repairs and costs. Danny and Jackie are awesome! They came out last summer and were honest about my AC and helped get it up and running for the rest of the season. When my furnace stopped working they were the first people I called. In the end I did end up needing a new unit and their work is IMMACULATE. Our furnace started leaking on a Friday night. I reached out to four or five different AC places on Saturday, and Royal was the only one to respond that day, despite the others being listed as open on Saturday and Sunday. They called, went over the process, and gave me an initial estimate. Danny came by Monday and took look at the furnace and compressor. He gave me a detailed walkthrough of each part of the system and how AC works (I had a vague idea but the details were enlightening). He ended up replacing my furnace filter (whoops, thought I did that in Jan), clearing out my drain, cleaning the dirty compressor filter I hadn't noticed, and recharging the coolant. Danny walked me through the math and reasoning behind how much coolant to add, explained the target temperature differential at air vents and return, and gave an estimate of the additional coolant cost. After the fixes, cool air was coming out at a cool 58 degrees when it used to be coming out at 70. Very nice! Needed on a 91 degree day. Danny also recommended adding some dye to check for leaks, as my refrigerant shouldn't have been so low, but left it open to me as whether to go to the next step. Danny just moved up from Cali so he doesn't have a ton of reviews for the Seattle area. I found him to be honest and reliable. He shows up when he says he will and does excellent work. I have a 3 year old heatpump fan that was making quite a ruckus and the neighbors had mentioned it. I called up the original installer because I figured it would maybe be under warranty still. It was not. The original company did come out for a "maintenance call" where the "inspector" said "It's the fan, that'll be $219" and did absolutely nothing to fix anything. I was done doing business with those guys. I tried a bunch of other places and was offered stuff like yearly $300 maintenance subscriptions or appointments months and months out. This industry seems like quite a racket around here. Not Danny though. He came out when he said he would and fixed the problem for hundreds less than what I was quoted elsewhere. Be aware!!! Not reliable. Not responsive. We contacted the owner for an in home estimation for installing mini split units. Before scheduling the in home estimation, I have clearly communicated that we do not want the Mitsubishi models that other HVAC companies suggested due to budget reasons. And the owner said he has a variety of products for us to choose from and will help us out. Then we gave him the address for in home inspection. BUT after the in home inspection, we never got our quotes or estimates at all, only received a catalog of Mitsubishi models from emails, which I clearly communicated we do not need. Royal heir came out to fix a leak in our mini split. They told me that the leak was fixed, they checked all connections and did a nitrogen test before putting in 8lbs of new refrigerant. However, the nitrogen test was only completed to 250PSI when the system goes to ~550PSI per the manufactures specs during heating cycles. After 3 days my unit was not cooling or heating and would only blow 71F out of the air handler. Royal heir told me that they checked all connections, yet I never saw them take a ladder out to check the connections closest to the indoor unit. I even have security camera footage to verify this. When I had another company come out the line set was in fact leaking from the location that Royal heir assured me they checked but actually lied and did not check. I contacted Jacqueline and she was nothing but helpful and said they would follow up but never did. My recommendation if you would with this company is to have your attorney ready to file a dispute. I know for sure that is what I am doing. It has been two weeks and Royal heir is silent and is not doing anything to resolve their mistakes. I would be happy to work with them to figure out and resolve this in a civil manner. Yet they value money over customer satisfaction. Potential customers: please see below where the owner is trying to deflect the blame onto someone else. I hired another company for a second opinion and was informed by them that royal heir did incomplete and shotty work. Is this really a company that you want to do business with? FINAL UPDATE 4/27/2023: Royal Heir has refused to make this right and is ignoring me. Good thing I contacted my creditor and disputed the charge. Danny was available right away and came out the next day. There were multiple issues in our condenser and furnace, including a coolant leak and a dead fan. Danny was able to find and fix all of the issues quickly at a reasonable price. He was able to fix an unrelated issue with our air ducts as well. They are a pretty small operation (Danny is the owner and his wife Jackie runs the office out of their truck) but apparently they have recently moved from California and are growing here. Yea they are a smaller family company, so some of the bad reviews might make sense if things get crazy on their end, but in my case, they were really responsive and great to work with, and Danny, the owner came out to check out my situation and talked things through with me. Reached out to them and some other places after a friend recommended them. They have definitely have more favorable rates compared to others I talked to this year and in the past. Also again, you're not getting a salesperson or someone potentially a lot less experienced like I've had happen to me with some of the bigger companies in the area.
