Even being short staffed, they were doing the best they can to ensure a smiling experience. The dim sum was fresh and hot. The flavor is good and decent. They did remove the items from the bill. The price is slightly higher compare to others but is not by much given the inflation. I would recommend you try it out. Beijing Duck FTW! We went here on recommendation from @shefliesfromdallas on IG. I'm sure you also saw the same post. The owner Renee says to call ahead about 45 minutes to an hour before you arrive so they can begin preparing your duck. In our case, there was extra long wait for the duck which was welcomed as it gave us time to digest the soup dumplings, shumai, and hot and sour soup which came out hot and fast. We liked that Beijing Duck came with ultra thin Chinese crepes instead of the usual buns that come with HK style Peking Duck; means you can eat more duck! There's a slight difference between the two, HK style Peking Duck is usually marinated while Beijing Duck is not which is all the more surprising that our Beijing Duck tonight was bursting with flavor! It probably has a lot to do with their roasting technique, table side carving by hand, home made duck sauce, and whisper thin crepes. We'll definitely go again soon. I'm gonna take my parents next time. Expect an authentic Chinese restaurant experience, delicious food worth the wait. read more

The theme of the restaurant is like a long shot retirement plan. Let's open a restaurant because we are decent home cooks, but we have no F&B experience. Restaurant is at the back of an old strip mall with little traffic. Low rent - word of mouth strategy. With that, you need *great* food. The man in the center of the glass kitchen dresses like an accountant. He is honest, hardworking but not skilled. We ordered dim sum and some regular dishes. The menu has no focus. Jumps from Dim sum to Szechuan to Cantonese. Dim sum was made fresh but not good at all. To give perspective, Kirin Court is not good in my opinion, and this is worse. Many issues with taste and quality. Since taste is subjective, I will move on to other issues. 1. Ordering work station is a small untidy table in full view of the guests. The annoying system keeps beeping every time there is an order. Get that thing in the kitchen! Another work station table with boxes and junk sits right in front of the main room. Front desk area is cluttered with junk as well. Touch screen machine at front desk is under utilized because there is no line! 2. Two full size fridges have wrinkly white paper taped on the glass doors to hide the contents in them. Fridges are in full view of guests in the main room as well. Looks extremely dingy and unprofessional. Either you show fresh ingredients in the fridge or you move those things to the back kitchen. All the old yellow vinyl table cloth have to be tossed out immediately. Seriously. 3. The restaurant glass windows are also covered by opaque wraps. You can't see the inside of the restaurant from outside. You lose visibility and makes the place dark. Saving energy bill from the heat is later in the game when business is good. 4. Massage music with YouTube video looping from the TV. Massage music! Why ?? 5. The owners are very kind. Very eager to please. We like honest food, which is why I am taking time to review this. But running a restaurant is not home cooking while inviting friends over. It is a business. This place is not ready for prime time. 90% of the restaurants I reviewed with one star closed within 6 months. It is obvious that this place needs a lot of professional help. ASAP! read more

We tried out Royal Kitchen last night because of a review on the Peking Duck and the review was right, this was perfectly cooked. The service was spectacular and the food was amazing. My husband got the Orange beef and the texture and taste was absolutely perfect. I also tried the Aromatic Crispy duck and I can't say enough good things about it. In every bite of the duck, I could taste all of the aromatics that the chef used. I read about this restaurant on a Facebook group. Its menu caught my attention because of some misspelled words. Out of curiosity, we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is clean and spacing is good, though the sound appears to travel well through space as we could hear conversations at another table at the opposite corner. We ordered several dishes, and were impressed with Braised Tofu & Mushroom, Minced Beef with Egg White and Cilantro Soup, and Crisp Cucumber with Chili Sauce. Xiao Long Bao is nice, and I'd consider their XLB as one of my personal top 3 in DFW. Because of the restaurant is currently in its soft opening, expect the staff to work out some hiccups and minor issues. We were a bit surprised by a robot delivering food to us, which we hope would not be necessary during off-peak hours. Based on my initial experience and the staff friendliness, I will return in the near future to try other options. I am incredibly excited about this new restaurant. They are currently operating as a soft open. The official opening takes place in mid-November so if you go prior, don't be surprised if you see menu changes and interior updates as they prepare for an official launch. With that said, it's a really fun space. It feels nothing like other Chinese restaurants that can feel "themed". Instead, you can feel the passion of the owner who created a fun and vibrant atmosphere. It's an extremely clean and comfortable space with table options for larger groups. The food was spot on - all the menu items you would expect were complimented with more traditional Chinese options. Portions were a good size, high food quality, and exceptional service. I believe the woman who served us is also the owner. She was so attentive, passionate about the restaurant, and made us feel like we were dining at her kitchen table. Tried this new restaurant Royal Kitchen in Plano Tx for lunch with my family and surprisingly it was delicious. This restaurant just became my new favorite authentic Chinese restaurant with DIM SUM. All the dishes are great, especially the roasted BBQ pork rice roll, beef flat noodles and egg custard, it was amazing.
