Rubio's is the go-to spot for some relatively healthy Mexican food. Food is bomb, service is friendly and the wait doesn't take forever. Did I mention they serve beer and sangria? It's lit! The best thing to get from here is the tacos for sure. The ingredients taste fresh and it definitely fills you up without making you feel disgustingly full. The shrimp tacos are amazing and so are the street tacos, no matter what meat you get! The Original Fish taco is massive; I personally never eat more than one. It was fried to dark brown perfection without being too greasy or over cooked; juicy and flavorful but a little steep at $3.50 each. Still worth it. Don't forget to stop by the salsa bar next to the soda machine because their sauces make these already good tacos even better. I would definitely recommend going here for lunch or dinner, whenever you're down to eat a good meal. I've been coming to this location for over a year now and never had a bad experience. Rubios is a great establishment that has relatively healthy food. When I arrived everyone was friendly and the waited was absolutely awesome! We shared a few laughs. The manager is also very kind! Cool vibes! Very clean inside from the main area to the salsa bar. The way it works here is that you walk in and order your food and they will bring your food to your table--unless you decide on it being a to go order. I ordered a burrito especial vegetarian style. There is a salsa bar that has a few different levels of heat as salsas go. I don't mind hot sauce as long as I can still enjoy the food and not ruin my taste buds--as it aids with circulation and digestion. I really enjoy the tomatillo sauce which is a mild heat with cilantro and a hint of garlic. Overall, It was quite tasty and I enjoyed it! Team lead refused to let me order before they closed. I was inside the building at 8:58 pm. I was going to tip 20% and order a burrito. I won't be back since they are practicing bad business practices. If you didn't want anyone to order anything you should have locked your door. The only 2 reasons I go to Rubio's is because they serve beer and wine and SOME of the seafood is SUSTAINABLE. Make sure to look for the blue jumping fish symbol next to the food item though. I felt that it was only fair since I took the time to write a review about the poor customer service and false advertisement that I experienced tonight at the Deep Sea Fish Grill; that I make time to express how happy I am for the service that I received at Rubios in the same center as the Deep Sea Fish Grill. After being turned away from the Deep Sea Fish Grill at 8:56 this evening, I drove across the parking lot to Rubios; which by the way closed at 9 p.m. as well; however Rubios clearly understands that hours of operations means that you don't begin to close until after the closing hours indicated on your website and doors. Rubios not only provided me with exceptional customer service; the salmon burrito that I purchased was awesome! I will definitely be returning to Rubios and be-it that I haven't been to a Rubios jn a while, I will definitely be adding this in my rotation when I do not feeling like cooking and want to get a good quick bite to eat out. Best customer service out of all the Rubio's I've been to. You get $4 off if you check in on Yelp. The manager was so nice and she gave us free drinks. I got the classic shrimp burrito which was always awesome! Hubby got the classic shrimp burrito with the sword fish taco. He said the fish was a bit dry but was very flavorful. Please have your young lady cashier, who also hands over mobile orders, wear her mask properly. Please make sure all your staff is following our governments orders. During this time it's more important than ever. I come here often and I'm usually always happy with service and food quality but this is not acceptable. You have customers who purchase from you often and are immunocompromised but still have to go to work daily as an essential worker to provide essential services. Please make your customers feel safe. Have a manager look into this please. Keep and eye on your store because no one is making sure people are keeping social distance either. I decided to give this place a try and I was honestly disappointed. The rice was dry & had no taste at all. I ordered the " salmon rice bowl" and they drenched the entire bowl with their chipotle sauce which had a bitter taste and got me annoyed of the taste. I tried to give it a chance but it just didn't meet my standards especially since it is quiet over rated. Overall, the location was very clean and didn't make me question weather it was sanitary or not. The salmon did look fresh and I believe it was wild caught not farm raised , which I will give it that. This is a great Rubio's location. Right by tons of shopping, plenty of easy parking. Staff is nice and the food always great. I love their balsamic roasted veggie salad, get it every time. The staff seemed super nice at this location when I was there. One downside (mainly if you or you're with someone handicapped) is the parking. It's a little lit shared with a few different shops.
