    Langostino Lobster Bowl

I hadn't been to Rubio's in a long time since unfortunately they've closed the location close to my home, but today I was able to enjoy this location... The restaurant was very clean and even though they appeared to be short staff, the young lady who took my order was busy multi-tasking by taking everybody's orders and bringing their food to the tables... She was very pleasant to deal with and apologetic at times! I'm glad I listened to her recommendation on the two different bowls I ordered because they were very tasty! When she asked me if I wanted to order anything to drink and I told her no, she offered to give me a cup, in case I wanted to get some water, and even though I didn't get any, I really appreciated the offer... If I'm ever in the area again, for sure, I'll be back to try other items off of their menu!!

Located in The Outlets of Orange. It was a decent spot to grab a quick lunch. It was quick to order and get the food. There is a salsa bar inside, which was great to try a few different sauces. For my order, I got the surf & turf bowl. It was a delicious and healthy option! For seating, there's plenty of spots inside and outside as well. The staff were kind enough to bring the order outside once ready. American Express is accepted here.

Cali Burrito Especial With Grilled, USDA-Choice Steak

I placed an online order for pickup at Rubio's, and unfortunately this visit was a letdown. My daughter wanted her usual Cali Steak Burrito -- it's normally one of our favorites, honestly one of the best Cali burritos we've tried. But this time... big disappointment. If you know what a Cali burrito is supposed to be, you know exactly what I mean. This one looked like it was missing half its fillings. It was noticeably smaller, lacking that hearty, satisfying fullness we expect. My daughter even asked, "Where's the rest of the burrito?" And honestly, I was wondering the same thing. We usually have great experiences here, which makes this one even more frustrating. Hoping this was just an off day, but it definitely wasn't worth what we paid.

3 tacos. Shrimp taco is best of 3

My friend took me here. Because this was one of her favorite places to eat. I wasn't familiar with the food here. So she ordered the 3 taco deal. Because she said that its good. All three tasted delicious. But the shrimp taco was the best. Omg. I got water for drinks. Because I drink water over anything else. I was supplied with a nice little plastic cup. Water was probably tab. But it tasted good, nice and cold. Overall great experience here.

    Objects found in burrito

We went to Rubio's and ordered two burritos and guacamole. Unfortunately, my fiancé found an avocado sticker, a chunk of avocado skin, and the stem (the brown nub from the end of the avocado) inside his burrito. I calmly asked to speak with a manager so I could show what was found. A team leader came out, apologized, and said they needed to speak to their boss -- and then never came back. After waiting, the front cashier pointed at us and asked, "Are you the ones with the burrito?" When I said yes, he responded with "Sorry, I'll talk to the kitchen people," and that was it. No follow-up. No manager. No resolution. It honestly felt like we were being avoided and brushed off. Mistakes can happen, but finding foreign objects in food is a serious issue, and the lack of concern or accountability afterward was extremely disappointing. The way this was handled showed a complete lack of care for customer safety and experience. This was truly unacceptable, and I won't be returning

I love that there's a location here at The Outlets of Orange...aka The Block. There are a lot of new restaurants here now, but I will still usually choose Rubio's to dine while here. I absolutely love their classic steak, chicken, and fish tacos. All of their sides are really good too, especially their guacamole & chips! And don't forget to save room for a churro!

Walking and shopping makes you feel a little hungry. We had dinner plans for later, so we decided to get something quick before then. We were debating on a pretzel or taco. The sign in the window for an advertised special caught our eye. For the same price as a pretzel, we got a taco, chips, salsa, half a churro, and a drink. Fish taco was nice and crispy. Staff was nice, but busy doing other things upon entering. Seating inside and outdoors.

Loved coming here for lunch haven't been here in a really long time. The one in Brea closed down, I was so sad. Actually thank you to Roselia for reminding me about Rubio's. So ordered the gourmet tacos and the kids chicken plate came with a drink too. The girl who took our order was nice no smile lol but that's ok. She took our order quickly and we got our food fast! It was delicious I haven't had the gourmet tacos in so long! Thank you for our delicious meal and fast and good service. They have inside and outside seating. Chose to sit outside there was a gorgeous breeze coming through. It felt amazing to be outside and have a delicious lunch. Have a beautiful day :) Aloha

Fast, friendly service. They have an under $10 menu with varied choices. I had the taco trio. Just right. My daughter had their steak fries and said they were delicious. Moderate pricing. We love their salsa bar that includes chopped onions, spicy carrots, lemons, and limes. Located in the middle (food court) of The Block Outlets in Orange.

    Chicken and carne asada
    Kenny Y.

This Rubio's location is tucked in an outdoor food court at the block of Orange. I went on a Taco Tuesday and ordered 4 tacos - chicken, carne asada, fish, and fish w avocado taco. I also ordered a margarita which came in a can. As I sat down and waited for my food, I noticed the AC was running probably 80-82 degrees, it was hot! My food came in 10 mins. Chicken and carne asada are mediocre, fish tacos are the only tacos that are worth to eat imo. My experience here was just average, hopefully you can crank up the AC next time. Fish tacos are good but we need good AC so my sweat don't drip down on the tacos!

ohh Rubios. i feel like theres no stores left. overpriced americanized "mexican food" ordered a $17 lobster burrito. it was all rice. they didnt make it how i wanted i also found a hair in my food. awesome. my drink from the soda machine was overly sweet and watery. guess im done with you rubios.

Man! I was so disappointed. I walked in on a Wednesday as we were waiting for our movie to start. Upon walking in, the place was a bit messy as I am assuming customers just left and the salsa bar looked like it needed some help. I decided to get shrimp tacos, but they were out! Out of the batter and out of the shrimp. They were out of most of the meats besides chicken. I ordered the mexican street corn bowl with chicken, it came out within 20 minutes and it was extremely salty! Not sure if they were rushing as there were other people waiting way before us for their food! I usually enjoy rubios, I think today was just a off day for staff and the establishment. Hopefully when we visit again it'll be a better turn out!

A pretty convenient spot to grab a quick bite. Tried their under $10 menu and chose the grilled chicken burrito. It was good and it also came with chips on the side. Their salsa bar is decent as well. Lots of seating inside and outside. Both the food and service were fast.

Along with that, our table also ordered: the quail with sticky rice ($20.99), salted fish and shrimp fried rice ($24.99), shaken beef with garlic noodles ($22.99), bok choy with sautéed garlic ($12.99), a hot tea ($4.00), Coca-Cola ($5.50), a mojito ($15.00), and a margarita ($15.00). With tax ($17.71), our ticket was $209.16 before gratuity. The NOLA Grilled Oysters come sizzling on a hot griddle, with four different fillings, four pieces each, for a total of 16 oysters. The price might seem a bit indulgent, but not if you consider the effort and ingredients that go into this presentation. Each type was flavorful, and there wasn't a single one I didn't enjoy. The salted fish fried rice was an interesting experience. I enjoyed the dish, though the salted fish was less salty than I expected. Someone in our group, who usually doesn't like salted fish fried rice because they find it too salty, actually liked this version for its milder flavor. The plate also includes four large shrimp. The shaken beef was tasty and tender; the garlic noodles were al dente and had just enough garlic--not excessive. The sautéed garlic added a smoky, nutty taste to the bok choy. The quail was marinated well and tasted good--but I wonder if it was fried just a bit too long. After this meal, I chatted with a friend who lives in the community. He'd been to this spot before but dismissed it as just another seafood boil joint. After our conversation, though, he said he'd be willing to give it another shot. I guess your impression of this restaurant depends, at least in part, on what you order. The service, by the way, was excellent. The restaurant has such a cool look and vibe! We started off with the Hamachi crudo, salmon ceviche, and a bowl of clam "chowdah". The crudo was absolutely delicious, highly recommend. The salmon ceviche was really good but a bit heavy on the sauce for me. The clam chowder had whole clams in the shell throughout. That was fun to pick them out! For entrees we got the lean and mean plate with sea bass. It comes with salad and rice, we substituted the rice for black beans. We also got the skirt steak "bulgogi" which was served on top of mushrooms and bok choy with a sweet soy sauce. They accidentally brought out salmon instead of sea bass, but were very apologetic. They brought out a sea bass on the side and comped the entree to make up for it. Great service right there! The salmon and seabass were both delicious and cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and juicy, full of flavor. As a birthday gift they brought out a thai milk tea blondie sundae which was soooo good! Get it if you like sweets. I wish the owners all the best in their future endeavors, they created a great restaurant that many will miss. Thanks to all the servers, hostesses, cooks, and bussers as well for making my birthday dinner so special!

They brought a bottle from home, since this place allows free corkage for first bottle, what a nice service to provide wine glasses for your wine! Ordered several things and all good with a couple standouts. This place has good sauces to dip seafood into, to provide the extra flavors I am always looking for. - fresh sourdough & whipped butter = always my pleasure! - calamari, crab cakes = fried well and tasty appetizers with the sauce. - oyster sampler = got to try 3 of them, all were very fresh and good! - sand dabs = satisfying big pieces, could use some more of the sauce over it. surprised there isn't any rice or fries for the sides, which would make this dish more satisfying. mac n cheese was ok for me, but kid loved it when brought the leftovers home:) - soft shell crabs (southern fried) = wow, this was easily my favorite thing! 2 big soft shell crabs fried to perfection with tasty tartar sauce. Those crabs were delicious, would love to get this again!!! Never had whole soft shell crabs like this, only the small pieces appetizer at sushi joints. This was a much more enjoyable way to eat those soft shell crabs! - clam linguini = got a taste, pretty good. all about the sauce I guess. - seafood chowder = got a spoonful to try with a chunk of fish. like a vegetable soup with seafood flavors, wow, this was also very delicious and the fish chunk was fresh and perfect! - also got the fish n chips, but forgot to take pics = big thick chunks of cod was quality and delicious. but kinda pricey for fish n chips, so made sure to get the 3 piece for averaging cost down, lol. Enjoyed it here, so many more things to try too...

The restaurant gives off the vibe like you are in a fishing town with a great drink selection and lively atmosphere. Vintage fisherman ocean art- love it. I swear if there was a lochness monster, they would have a picture of it. They really think about the small details here. They knew we were here for our anniversary, and they had a card with rose petals on our table. Everyone stopped to say Happy Anniversary, including the manager. Our server, Destino, truly took care of us and made our experience extra special. He was more than just a server. He was a working professional that truly knew how to take care of two customers and didn't miss a beat. As if that wasn't enough. I haven't even talked about the food yet! They had an insanely large menu! We had a tough time deciding. I've never seen an oyster selection as big as theirs, so we got the oyster sampler, and it didn't disappoint. It was fun trying oysters from different regions and comparing the flavors. I had the soft shell crab and my husband had the chilean sea bass. We both win! Both dishes were excellent. Great wine selection. My husband had a syrah and I had moscato. Both were amazing. We were switching and taking bites off each other's plates. For dessert, they gave us a three flavored deep dish cookie with vanilla ice cream on top. What an incredible ending to an unforgettable night. Best part of the night came at the very end. Coincidentally, when we were getting ready to leave, our song was playing! I would have thought my husband planned that! Thanks, Water Grill! We hope to be lucky enough to dine with you guys again!!!
