Christy was awesome and made some excellent recommendations! We have been to several Ruby Slippers but this was the best yet.

Christy was our server and she was WONDERFUL! She knew the menu 100%, was able to make recommendations, taking in my food allergies and dislikes. We had a sampling of the appetizers (all were my favorites!). The service is QUICK!!! I just as much had placed our order, and voila!, there was our entire order! The ambiance is so much fun. It feels like a neighborhood place, where people knew each other. Lots of families with small children and so many families dining together. The alcohol selection? Well....the Mimosas were amazing and the Bloody Mary is the best I have ever tasted! The benedicts were creamy eggs, sitting on top of a delicious buttermilk biscuit with lots of selections. Omelets were HUGE! The French toast was not greasy, rather it melted in my mouth and filling with yumminess! We had such a great time! This is my new place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch! Ashley our server was FANTASTIC!!!! Talk about southern hospitality charm. Aside from the unwanted and unnecessary wait to get seated our overall experience was made great by Ashley. We arrived and checked in at the host staNd and noticed several seats at the bar. We asked if it was open seating as most places are and was told by the host it was not and we needed to wait. Keep in mind the were not only several seats at the bar butt several empty tables in the dining room. Immediately a couple walked in and sat at the bar lol. Of course I said something and the host asked them to get up and let them know they had to get on the waitlist. Long story short they got up, stood to the sidee, waited for the host to walk away, asked the bartender if they could sit at the counter and of course the bartender said yes ‍ oh well such as life lol. I complained, we waited another 15 mins and were finally seated. Thank God for Ashley, her warm personality and attentiveness. She made recommendations on the food and rescued the visit along with of course the pretty darn good food (see pics). read more

This is a really cute place, there were tons of people here and it's totally deserved. I got the trifecta while I was there and it was delightful. The Chicken St. Charles, was good, I liked pork Tasso cream sauce over it, although the chicken itself didn't have much flavor once you got past the breading so that was a bit disappointing. The Shrimp Boogaloo Benedict was good too, although I also think it was the most disappointing. Everything separately tastes good but I think they could have gone with a different sauce over it, it just wasn't as good compared to the others. The Eggs Cochin was actually the one I was looking forward to the least and it blew me out of the park. The pork was delicious and flavorful the hollandaise was good (I wish there had been a bit more on there) and with the biscuit everything all together was fantastic. And just a note about the biscuits there: they are buttery and delicious and just overall amazing! read more

We are frequent patrons. We cannot say enough about the awesome staff at the Metairie location. Dying COVID19 we even used the drive up service. The most important thing I want to say is the AWESOME lenghts you have gone to for your customer and staff. Sanitizing the tables with a timer, everyone full masks on. All the things normally on a table are brought by request and very clean, social distancing of tables, the wonderful tents and love the faux green grass! Stacy, Lauren Kevin, Sunny, Jarod are the BOMB, exceptional service, memory, fun!!! Regular table 33 (bacon lady). OWNERS ! When things get settled would you PLEASE PLEASE do something with your VERY in customer friendly chairs and barstools..not only are they the size seats for grammar school age people, they are extremely hard to sit on, really on a hard wood Board. Get real owners...75% of your customers are "thick" large size people, where honestly one cheek only fits on your VERY un friendly chairs. The bar stools are just as hard, and no backs is not appreciated by everyone we ever speak to at the bar! Donate the chairs to a Grammer or preschool and put all new seats and backs on the bar stools. read more

Came back again because we loved it so much but to this location. Had the salmon avocado toast & banana pecan pancake. They were delicious! Just want to comment, because this happened twice while in New Orleans, the smoked salmon is cooked. I'm used to it being raw. Again, it was still delicious, just a side note. Pancake was ok. The food here is great and the staff is awesome, but it's way over priced -- both drink wise and food wise. I feel the portions of their meat, whether you order lunch items or breakfast items, is slacking. Two times out of three when I've ordered the breakfast hashbrowns at the Metairie and DT location, they've been overcooked and too crispy for my taste. Even my boyfriend, who loves crispy potatoes (he burns his hot dogs for fun and on purpose), didn't enjoy. read more

Food was alright and mimosa was okay. Nothing extraordinary. The food came out in less than 15-20 mins and it was rom temperature.

First of all, the food was bland and the salmon tasted like it just came out of the can. I got the tuna and avocado toast . The menu said "smoked salmon" definitely didn't taste how I hoped. I think everything would have tasted better if it was warm and seasoned better. My mom also complained about the same things . I'm not sure if this is just me that this happened to but definitely not as good as I was hoping. Had the Catfish and Grits, and being a New Orleans native I was slightly disappointed! Food presentation was great but the dish lacked absolutely any flavor. The catfish flavorless, the grits flavorless, and the sauce also disappointing flavorless! The food item that had the most flavor was the butter for the biscuit. Very clean and friendly staff. Thought the food was ok the fries seemed like McDonald's fries. The eggs Benedict was good but would be better on an English muffin . I did love their fresh orange juice and the blood mary. Will still come back for the atmosphere and try other dishes. I also like that they use the yelp waitlist so we were able to time getting here very well. Kids friendly and they have kid meals. Parking is tight so you would either need valet or park on the street which wasn't a problem for us . read more

Our waitress was great at first. But then she disappeared for a good 30-35 minutes when we needed her. The food was okay. My food was a little cool like always. I feel like she let our food just sit back there for a minute. I always get their iced coffee though. I don't know what they do with the french truck cold brew but I can't get enough. read more

I would never have found this place if not for the great recommendation from our friends. I am so glad I stopped by! There is a long wait, which we were prepared for, so putting our names in and then exploring the city for an hour was no big deal. They updated us with texts, and I was able to periodically check our place in line with the yelp waitlist feature--very convenient. We made our way back to the restaurant just in time and were seated immediately. The host (a larger gentleman, I did not catch his name) was very friendly and helpful. Liz was our server and she was also excellent. I love that you can mix and match their benedicts! My husband got two, and I got two so we were able to try four different ones. They were all delicious and we also appreciated our mimosas and bloody mary's. It was the perfect brunch for our last day in New Orleans. I am looking forward to our next visit, and will definitely be dining here again. read more

The service is pushy and expects you to know what you want to order after 2 minutes of being seated. It's just rude after you wait 30 plus minutes for a table to be rushed to give your order only a couple of minutes after being seated. Food is tasty. Environment is lively. read more

This is a great little brunch spot! Usually there is a line of people waiting outside, so I've been hesitant to try it but I went today and we were seated immediately. Our server, Asia, was great and so attentive of our needs! The whole brunch experience went super smoothly and the manager even came by our table to ask how the meal was. The service here is amazing and the food is great too! I had the southern breakfast & it was delicious. Their homemade biscuits are the size of a large baseball (we had to split it!) and they were delicious. I highly recommend stopping here for brunch! read more

Had my first experience here. The food was delicious, I got the special which was roast beef Benedict with fried pickles. I can't say enough about how wonderful our server Byron was!!!! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. A different person brought over my food and as I was digging in Byron came over and asked how everything was and I said awesome. He then said wait you don't have your fried pickles, I did not even notice but he took the time to go and get me fresh and hot fried pickles and it really did enhance the dish. He checked on us several more times and made sure we had everything we needed. Right before we left I noticed him do this again at another table, someone else dropped off their food and he came by to see how it was and before the customer said anything he said your eggs do not have the pepper jack cheese, I will have them make you some fresh ones. I mean honestly that is some top notch service when your server sees things that you might not. Please give Byron my huge kudos!!! The food is excellent but each time I go I have the same server whose name is Lauren . She brings the check while I am still eating . Why ? The restaurant was not busy . How did she know I didn't want another cocktail or another cup of coffee ? Next time I would like to ask for a different server because this is ridiculous. I don't want to stop going because of her . I understand we will be getting a Silver Slipper in Metairie in the future. I look forward to going and hopefully she won't be going to the new location. I chose this location for us to celebrate a holiday as a family. I called ahead to ask if it was okay to bring a large party (9 adults + 4 children). I never want to add stress to our hospitality industry especially during these understaffed times. I was told they usually don't take more than 8 but it was okay & they'd put two tables together for us. I said "okay sounds good, GPS says 18 minutes away so we'll see you in 20 minutes." We show up 20 minutes later and the employees are all frazzled that we are a large group, saying they weren't expecting us for another hour. They say give us a minute to get the tables together. They speak to some manager, who is *extremely* rude. He refuses to seat us as one group. He said two tables only and walks away leaving the waitresses to deal with us themselves. We say sure. We sit down and our two tables are legit next to each other, 5 ft apart. We kindly ask for them to just push the tables together (we are all on one check with 1 waitress btw) and the same manager guy from earlier walks by saying a RUDE "No" and nothing else. Our waitress (Kristie/Christie) was the kindest, sweetest soul. She made the experience better! And the food? Great! To that rude manager guy in the white tshirt-Thanks for ruining was supposed to be a family breakfast. read more
