This place had THE BEST eggs Benedict I've ever had. I got "The Trifecta" which features their shrimp eggs Benedict, chicken eggs Benedict, and the pork eggs Benedict. The chicken was definitely the best and honestly to die for, with the pork being a close second. It's a must try! The shrimp I could've done without, but there was nothing wrong with it! Just not of my taste for brunch. We also ate a BYO omelet which was pretty good! We loaded it up with every kind of meat which was good, but just a little too much for me. That was my friends order.. lol. The potatoes that came with it were crunchy and good too! To finish we had the stuffed French toast! They were featuring salted caramel and it was a perfect dessert still with a taste of brunch. I would definitely recommend this place but I would warn that it is very crowded and loud! The loudness didn't really bother me, but I was almost getting claustrophobic because of how close I was to other people eating out. Maybe 3-4 deer between you and table next to you. Over priced and not good food. The grits are horrible. Asked for soft bacon and the server brought me crunchy and said "that's how they make them". Had to ask for hot coffee. Pancakes had zero flavor. My poached eggs were in a bowl of water. If your known for your Benedict's you should know how to use a slotted spoon. Chose the Ruby Slipper(Magazine St.) for breakfast our 2nd day in NOLA. Our experience started 30 minutes before the restaurant even opened. We were super early so we had to wait, but one of the waitresses noticed us and set us up a table outside. Once we got seated inside, our waitress Aurryana greeted us with a sweet smile and recommendations. The food is delicious, and perfectly made and plated. The peach bellini pairs excellent with the berry Chantilly pancakes. Coffee is phenomenal.... sweet tea is brewed to Texas standards. The customer service and interaction is top notch. Aurryana was fantastic and very friendly. The managers are super friendly and interactive as well, offered various recommendations for other great dining options in the area. The atmosphere is very airy and open.... giving you that local coffee shop vibe. I couldn't be more impressed with a restaurant than I am this morning. read more

So maybe my mistake was going here on a Sunday around lunch. But it was so crowded and so very loud. Eventually I was seated at a table in the back and still really loud. The menu is interesting and has a lot of variety. I got the Southern Breakfast and passed both the bacon and eventually the fried green tomato over to my cousin. The green tomato was just too thick and too greasy for me. The grits were good and the eggs were meh. I did enjoy my biscuit. Our server was friendly but not around too much... mostly because they seemed to be serving a billion tables at once. The table next to us were jonesing for a 2nd breakfast drink and had to flag someone down to order it. I do like that you can be put on waiting list before you arrive so that's a plus. Maybe on a less hectic day, I would enjoy it more. read more

I decided to try breakfast at this Wizard of Oz themed.... and I'm assuming "gay" owned... cafe called The Ruby Slipper. I had the stuffed French Toast with pumpkin cream for Halloween which was lighter than expected and their alcoholic milk drink the Brandy Milk punch which was good. I wished it would've had more bacon. I also tried their special of ordering two egg Benedicts and got the barbecued shrimp and chicken and biscuits which were good. They were busy but I felt like I was begging for help even though I was sitting at the bar with a waiter staring at me three feet away. I wish they would play up the Wizard of Oz and ruby slipper theme more with decorations and souvenirs like Ruby Slipper key chains, sparkly t-shirts, etc., etc Definitely a place to visit. read more

This place made the list based on reviews, I didn't realize there were 6 or more locations to visit. The 200 location on Magazine was super busy so we mosey'd on down to the 2800 Magazine location. Traffic was light when we arrived around 10:20am. We were sat immediately and Harper joined us shortly after to introduce herself and go over the menu with us. Let me first say this, Harper's Service was beyond perfect. Quick. Polite. Knowledgeable. Did I mention fast? We started with the fried green tomatoes and the French toast bites. 10/10 for myself and my mother. 8/10 on the fried green tomato for my wife. (She wasn't a fan of the sauce but that's a personal preference. I had the shrimp and grits, wife had the trifecta, mom had the the peacemaker w/ eggs Cochon and the corn beef. Stopped by in here before strolling around the Garden District fo see mansions. In contrast from their French Quarter location, this one is much less busy and we got seated very quickly for Sunday brunch at 12pm. The shrimp & grits were fantastic and the biscuits that came with them were fluffy and baked to perfection. The iced coffee here is sourced from French Truck cafe which is smooth and strong.
