Let's cut to the chase...the food is Okay. Now for the details. I work in the area so it was a short walk to meet my brother here for a quick lunch. We opted to sit at the bar. Our bartender was cool. It's Mardi Gras season so there's a couple of seasonal drinks. I tried the pineapple parade drink. It was good, weak...but good still. I expected that in a touristy area. Everything is always as far as drinks are concerned. We got 2 orders of Chargrilled oysters which is usually by the dozen but they sell theirs with 8. I was shocked to see that came up to $28/an order. while oysters can be expensive, this pricing is another tourist trap. They tasted decent tho. I got the salmon with Brussels sprouts for my entree and my brother got the fried seafood platter. The Brussels sprouts were honestly the star on my plate. The salmon was pretty good paired with it. My brother's seafood platter was piled and had a lot of food. Definitely enough to share. Personal preference though, I feel it could've been seasoned a little better. While I know this isn't a rave review, I have to say, the food was okay. The prices just don't match the taste. Again...it was okay. lol

    Stuffed avocado on toast ($16.95)

Food:2/5 Service:4/5 Ambience:4/5 I ordered a stuffed avocado on toast for breakfast. It was ok, but it only came with one piece of toast! It also only came with 3 mozzarella balls. I was pretty dissatisfied with the portions. The food came out relatively quick. Good service. Interior was interestingly lined with different displays. Unique ambience. Overall I would not recommend this place, it was ok.

The charbroiled oysters were good. Got there and was not advised of when the kitchen planned to close so missed out on dessert. Just based on my experience, I can say I tried it.

Located in the Renaissance Hotel, just a block away from Bourbon, sits Legacy Kitchen Tacklebox. Very nice upscale bar and restaurant featuring a tap bar as well as a full bar service area. I wanted a snack to help me power through the day till dinner. I can't help but to have have some comforts: red beans and rice, crawfish etoufee, and gumbo. I tell you, what a treat. Good flavors. I like all of them equally. I would definitely visit again next time I am in town.

Stopped in on a Sunday night and still got delicious food. Service was good, food was very tasty, and the drinks were good too. I had the New Orleans trio and my wife had the red fish. She got a side of the cabbage to go and it was delicious. Good spot to check out for some local flavors and a nice atmosphere.

Beignet Bites half cinnamon half sugar

This place seems to be hit and miss on food and service. Had exceptional service Sat morning with amazing beignet bites and scrumptious breakfast sandwich. The female server was attentive and helpful. A great experience. So we went back Sun morning and order beignets and gravy - yuck... chewy beignets clearly just heated up. So different from the fantastic mini ones we received the day before. Service was slow and inattentive, exact opposite of our prior experience. So a solid three stars.... might be fantastic, might be awful.

Bananas foster bread pudding w vanilla bean ice cream

I only had dessert and drinks, so that's what I'm reviewing. The bananas foster bread pudding w vanilla bean ice cream is a must have. Their bar setup is visibly small, but the selection is notable. They actually have some Haitian rum on deck, which you're not likely to find at many venues. Also they had some interesting looking mezcal selections that I will be back to sample. Service was friendly and excellent and the ambiance was was whole vibe with the musical selections that were varied and at perfect decibel to enjoy but not interrupt conversations. Definitely worth a visit if you're visiting the 504. It's in the Renaissance hotel on Common. I wish my memory served me to remember names readily, but one of the bartenders, a local, that works the day shift til 3 was a whole vibe. Even if the food had not been to my liking I'd have been back to drink off her representation alone.

This was recommended by an Uber driver, saying she had a great time celebrating her birthday that she and her fam came back a second time the same week. That sold Hubbers, so he took it upon himself to decide this is where next dinner is. It was only a few minutes' walk from our hotel, so it was pretty convenient. I wasn't really hungry since I had a snack a couple of hours prior, but I thought the Grand Tower was a good idea to share with my party of 4. Paired that with a Bloody Mary. It is plenty for a starter. 6 fresh shucked oysters, 6 charbroiled oysters, 6 shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon dip and crawfish remoulade. It's practically a meal for two! The oysters were fantastic, but I think my favorite here are the dip and remoulade. Loved the smoked aroma from the salmon and the crawfish tails on the remoulade. Don't get me wrong: the oysters were great as well as the shrimp (bigger than normal) but the salmon dip did it for me! My party ordered their own dishes, but I was set with sharing the tower. And to finish it off: an order of beignets to cleanse the palate. Someone in my party said they liked it better than Cafe du Monde's version! FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 4. Our server, Tiana was attentive in a non-stalkerish way. VALUE: 4. More than fair! PARKING: Street only as far as I know. I didn't see any lots nearby. OVERALL: 4. Gotta give credit to Hubbers for the good call. Would recommend!

Both were outstanding. The Bananas Foster French Toast was rich, indulgent, and packed with flavor without being overwhelmingly sweet. The bananas and sauce were the perfect complement to the French toast, making it feel like a New Orleans dessert and breakfast all in one. The Boudin Breakfast Biscuit was equally impressive. The biscuit was fresh and flaky, and the boudin added a delicious Cajun flavor that set it apart from a typical breakfast sausage. Every bite was savory, satisfying, and uniquely Louisiana. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it's easy to see why Surrey's has such a loyal following. If you're visiting New Orleans and looking for a memorable breakfast, put this place on your list. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

The hashbrowns were very crispy and seasoned well, so I loved them, as soggy hashbrowns are a major pet peeve of mine. The chicken biscuit was good, but I'm not 100% sure it was to my taste. It was massive and very hard to eat, and there was a lot of fried chicken skin. The mayo on the sandwich was definitely homemade and had a very strong egg flavor, so I would go without that next time. The biscuit was probably the best biscuit I've ever had. As a California girl, I think the flavors might have just been a little too strong for me, but still a great spot to stop by.

There was a line when we arrived, but we liked how the host walked the line asking how many people in your party in case they were able to seat people regardless of your position in line. We were seated pretty quickly, our server was great. She came over with a big smile, very mild mannered, but attentive. We ordered our meals, which came out quickly. Omelet for my husband, grits bowl for me. The grits have smoked gouda. The grits bowl is if you have a big appetite because it is big! My husband enjoyed his shrimp and crab Omelet, but he did mention that he couldn't really taste or see much crab, but it was tasty. The grits bowl has a lot of sautéed veggies so if that's not your thing say no veggies or light veggies. I had one of the fresh juices, the Ginger Sun, I believe that's the name. Oh my!!! It was so good and honestly I wasn't feeling my best when I arrived and after drinking the juice my body really started feeling better. I wasn't able to eat all my food, but I can say that juice was the highlight of it for me. The restaurant was clean and I love the long bench with the pillows that line the wall. Also, they have 2 sides, the other side is for to go I believe and its for tacos/quesadillas, etc...

We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and drinks at Luzianne. Minor things noted, mainly on the cook of the eggs, but nothing awful. It his the spot and checked the boxes!

No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite.
