The service was good not great but that's ok. The food was great. My only reason for giving 4 vs 5 stars is the noise level inside. The floors are concrete and there is absolutely nothing absorbing all the noise. It really takes away from trying to enjoy your meal with others. The food is excellent, and everyone in our four-person party gobbled up their food. The eggs Benedicts are thing to get, but I had the crispy chicken sandwich was excellent. So I came here for brunch on my way out of Pensacola. I came home for the holidays and decided to go out with a bang. I had been here before, and it was great, but that was back before I started Yelping. We get here and we get seated immediately. We get a delightful server with a magnificent beard. I order coffee, and it's pretty good. My girlfriend and I order two dishes and split them. She gets the Pancake Flight (A tasting of our specialty pancakes, including one each of Cinnamon Swirl, Bacon Praline, & our Pancake of the Day) and I get the The Trifecta (Taste of the Ruby Slipper Cafe featuring one serving each of Eggs Cochon, Chicken St. Charles & Shrimp Boogaloo Benedicts). We love flights. We choose variety over quantity all the time. All the time. Her pancake of the day was a sweet potato pancake with marshmallow cream on top. It was very good. They were all very good. I judge pancakes on if I can eat them without syrup, and I could do that to all of these. The bacon was a little lost in the pancake and didn't add much, but it was visually appealing and this was a great value dish with more bacon on the side. Yum. My flight was a little bit more complicated of a story. So, first of all, this place makes their eggs benedicts over biscuits, not English muffins. I don't think I've had that before, but I'm game for trying new things. The best thing on that plate was the Chicken St. Charles. That chicken was fried so well and the egg was poached perfectly. The biscuit was house made and just wow. Get this one. I say get that one because you can honestly skip the other two. The Shrimp Boogaloo was ok. I liked the shrimp and the fried green tomato was excellent, too, but the sauce and the chilis mixed in with the egg was just kind of messy and it didn't come together well. The Eggs Cochon was my least favorite. I don't think that pulled pork belongs on an eggs benedict. I didn't necessarily think that before eating this, but I think it now. Don't get this. Overall, I've always loved the ambiance and the attitude that this place has. Last time I was here, it blew me away. This time, I don't know. I must have just gotten the wrong dish. I hope I come back next time I'm in town so I can give this place another chance. read more

I really liked this place. Our server was fantastic; he was so kind and energetic. The food was also great; it felt very fancy without the atmosphere being too fancy which I liked. The prices did reflect the fanciness, however which I understand. Better quality ingredients are more expensive. That said, I wish my French toast meal had come with a little less French toast and some sides. It was very sweet and could have been cut with some bacon and eggs. Either way, I think I would go back, just a bit more prepared. We got the kids original pancakes with bacon, the biscuits and gravy meal, bananas foster French toast, Nashville hot eggs bennie, and a vanilla iced late with nutmeg. My husband loves their breakfast. The food is always hot and yummy! The service is always fast and friendly. The only draw back is the atmosphere. It is decorated nicely, but it's open and gets very loud many times you have to yell to talk to the person directly next to you. I wish they could do something to modify that but everything else is perfect. read more

Wow, this place was great. My wife loves breakfast so we went one morning on vacation and absolutely loved it. Well it was a late breakfast so I got a Cobb salad, but my wife got the bananas foster and ate the whole thing, which is rare for her. We plan on going back one more time before the drive back home. The only negative is that it was very loud and there was a child who screamed and it seemed to amplify in the space. Not the restaurant's fault. As for the food. Best pancakes my husband and I have ever eaten. Hands down. I had the pineapple upside down pancakes and he had the white chocolate bread pudding pancakes. Another great breakfast place that we just tried for the first time. Hubby and I went here for brunch on a Saturday morning, and the restaurant was packed, with people waiting out the door. We were so glad we used the waitlist option to have our place in line even before leaving home. We walked right up to the front, past the crowds, and were taken immediately to our table. Nice! We each ordered the eggs Benedict special which was made with fried green tomatoes and a crab cake. We both really liked it, although the crab cake seemed a bit small. We passed on the adult beverages for brunch, but their coffee was pretty good. Overall, a good brunch, good and friendly service. Just be prepared for it to be very loud. Check the yelp page for pretty accurate live wait times. I was visiting family recently and decided to brunch at RSC. We saw wait times can get up to an hour so we got there about 9:30 and were seated right away. Coffee is good. Half and half, raw sugar, and substitute sugars are available. The specials sounded great but I had my eye on the bacon praline pancake. (It was so good!!). My pancakes came with two pieces of applewood smoked bacon. My boyfriend had a ham and sausage omelette which came with a HUGE homemade biscuit with cane sugar. My father got the traditional southern breakfast -- loved it! My mom got the eggs Benedict you pick two. You heard me. There's an option to pick two eggs Benedict. She seemed to have really enjoyed hers as well. Recently moved to the area and was recommended to come for brunch! We signed up on the Yelp waitlist on a Sunday morning and only had to wait around 10 mins after we checked in with the hostess. The waitstaff were in masks but honestly the whole thing seemed kind of silly considering the sheer amount of people inside! It was packed packed but the food was good! It came with their speciality butter, which added a nice hint of sweetness to the biscuit. My friend got the potatoes for one of his sides, and I was a little surprised at the amount. (I'm used to places giving a large serving, this was more of a scoop-full.) The coffee was also decent. They came by to fill it up once. Not super strong, but it had good flavour. My friend and I were visiting Pensacola to see her little brother adjust into post-ROTC navy training, and made a trip out to The Ruby Slipper since we heard such great things about it. We went late morning during a weekday, and there wasn't any wait. We got seated outside (it's dog friendly! :D) and our server was kind to get us a happy hour mimosa right as it was ending. We also ordered a coffee as well. The mimosa was well made..definitely did not skimp out on the champagne ;D Coffee was okay..just a regular brew. For food, we ordered the Gulf Fish "St. Peter" and the Peacemaker, with the 2 benedicts being shrimp boogaloo and eggs cochon. Both dishes were delicious. The Gulf Fish is their fish of the day and cheesy grit cake. There are also veggies with grilled shrimp, and a yummy hollandaise sauce. It was something unique that I haven't ever tried before, and enjoyed it. But I must say it was a bit heavy for my taste. The benedicts were delicious as well, but again, was a bit heavy.
