I decided to try the cheese steak special. I was seated quickly and the salad bar was fresh and looked appetizing. When the Cheesteak arrived the cheese sauce was separating. I called the waitress to witness the curdling cheese. She stated , all of their cheese sauces came like that. She quickly brought me another one without the cheese sauce. Disgusting! We were seated in a filthy booth full of crumbs and dust on the seat and in the back of the seat and on the window sill. The blinds were covered with dust. There were ants on the window sill. We asked to be moved to another table and it was the same condition. Before sitting I looked at the salad bar because that was my plan to eat the salad, it was a mess, not appetizing at all. We asked the girl who brought us to both nasty tables about the coupons we had and she said to ask the waitress. Asked the waitress and she said each coupon could only be used for one deal. Ok, fine. We asked to be moved to a table hoping it would be cleaner. It was. By now the "hostess" was annoyed and so were both waitresses. As soon as we were seated in the third location the new waitress promptly told us we could only use one coupon for our entire table. I explained we had already been moved three times in search of a clean table but she only answered rudely that was their new policy. We decided to leave at that point after annoying the staff so much we were afraid what they might do to our food if we did order. Also if they don't clean the dining area booths(which were near the bar, which we were not thrilled about) I can only imagine how dirty the kitchen could be. Cleanliness-F, Hostess/Server attitude-D. We went to another local restaurant and paid less without a coupon and the service was immensely more cheerful and pleasant and the table was very clean. I got some Mexican style wings with cheese under them, I think it was limited time. The food itself was pretty decent, I'm not a big cheese guy so I think my review of these wings could be less credible. The fries though are probably the best you can get at any chilis/Applebees style restaurant in the area! Good service too. Would probably recommend but it might not be your thing. read more

This is a good place to go for a drink after work or before you go see a movie. They have good food but they're not the cheapest place to go. If you're eating though I usually get either the chicken parm pasta or the chicken and broccoli pasta. Both are good but the chicken parm is the better of the two in my opinion. The appetizer's are pretty good too but again, they are more expensive then a lot of other places. The staff is great. I have had great service whether I am sitting at the bar or at a table. The mood at the bar is usually a little more upbeat then the tables even if you're not a drinker. Add some points for the free WiFi! read more

I can't comment on the food other than to mention that the salad bar near the door looked, well, unsanitary. I can comment on the experience. I was with a group of five that decided to go to Ruby Tuesday. We pulled up and seeing the people waiting , I hopped out to check on the wait time. As I approached the hostess station a large group that had walked in before me were handed some menus and followed a hostess in to be seated. At this point I thought we were in luck. Unfortunately as I approached the hostess station to inquire about wait times the primary hostess looked to another and said "did she just seat them? What about all the other people in front of them?". I sighed, as I pondered the state of the food and bev industry in Florida. (My significant other and many friends are in the F&B business here in Charleston, SC) ("Excuse me, but may I ask") I interrupted the argument long enough to ask how long before a party of five could be seated. One of the ladies replied she wasn't sure, and would let me know. Then she returned to her argument. At this point I noticed several booths in the bar area were empty. (In fact, all but 3 booths were empty) There were five ladies at the hostess stand so I chose another and asked if a full menu was served in the bar area. After being informed that indeed a full menu is served in the bar area, I asked if our party could seat themselves in one of the many vacant booths (as I am sure you are aware very often bar seating is self serve). I was told, "you can seat yourselves in the bar area if no one is ahead of you." I asked "Can you tell me if anyone is ahead of me?" In answer to this question the woman I was talking to said she wasn't sure, turned her back to me, and started talking to another hostess. I moved back to the main station and I started to engage the primary hostess to check on the bar seating, or regular seating, then realized just how ridiculous the situation was. I just turned around and walked out.... they didn't even notice. I hope they were having a bad night, but if the condition of the salad bar, the muttered comments of the patrons leaving the establishment (one older couple said "we really need to try the one closer to us again I guess"), and the poor people sitting and waiting in the lobby who had no idea that people were being seated randomly with no regard to the order in which they arrived were any indication I doubt this night was at all unusual. That being said, it all ended on a very good note, thanks to my experience at a poorly run chain restaurant I discovered a great little Italian hole in the wall in the same shopping center! (Look for it people, trust me) I live in Charleston SC and I have no skin in the Florida game, but I had a strong enough negative experience that I wanted to document it. read more

This has been my favorite place for a brunch but my most recent experience has been extremely disappointing. I ordered the door dash and the meal (crispy shrimp and ribs) was cold by the time the order was brought to the counter. Last Friday night...we thought we'd try Ruby Tuesday's $7.99 Fajitas. We ate in the bar, which had one person waiting tables for the entire bar and bar counter. I ordered the chicken fajitas and combined it with the salad bar and we were surprised there was no guacamole coming with it or an option to order it as an extra. Salad bar was GREAT as usual....however, the chicken which appeared to be blackened on the top was very dry ? and the pepper & onions below the chicken were burned to the point of being black and offered that burned vegetable taste. UGH! It was returned to the waiter and shrimp were selected in place of the chicken. No problem getting it replaced but this time I'd do the shrimp as it appeared to be just right for others. I asked to have it packaged 'to go' due to the length of time that had now passed. After opening it at home to package it for overnight, I discovered the packaging for 'to go' was not adequate. There was a piece of foil on the bottom of the white styrofoam container and the shrimp and vegetables were on top of it. There were 11 shrimp (which each were about the size of a nickle-the ones I'd seen were close to the size of a quarter) they were mixed into the vegetable and sauce/spice...which some of the shrimp had no sauce/spice on them at all. ? The tortillas were not wrapped in foil, just laying in the bottom alongside the shrimp and vegetables. Needless to say they were very wet from the sauce/spice mixture. The sour cream, and tomatoes were in their own containers with the lettuce shreds and cheese packed around them in a burger size container. I will certainly NOT be ordering the Fajitas again! It's a great idea for Ruby Tuesday to add them to their menu....but first they need to make sure they know how they should be served and what condiments to have available....and especially.....how to package them "TO GO". read more

For a chain this Ruby's has it together! Wonderful staff and salad bar was nice, fresh and very clean for lunch on Tuesday. I ordered a Patron margarita frozen and it was excellent. The chicken bites appetizer was a little small compared to the size of appetizers most restaurants are serving now, but it tasted fine. The peach melba tart dessert was excellent. It basically was peaches baked in a small pie crust topped with vanilla ice cream and warm raspberries on top. I loved it. My only complaint about this Ruby's was that the music was one notch too loud for an enjoyable ambiance. Just my personal opinion but I like to be able to talk to my dinner guests without having to talk over the music. Music at a restaurant (other than live band scenario) should compliment the meal, playing only loud enough to be heard and enjoyed, but not so loud that it interferes with talking. Talapia looked great and edges tasted good but center had mushy consistency like it was freezer burnt or worse "bad". It actually made me a little nauseous when looked at it with my phone light. As a state officer I eat out a lot, none of the state officers I know will eat here because they practice what we call "Salad Baring" which means if one member of your party orders it the manager here automatically applies it to your entire party at full price. They also charge 'share price' which means if you order one meal with two plates they charge you twice but don't bring you more food, essentially they are charging you $12-15 for the USE OF THEIR PLATE. What's worse is FL state law says that they can charge you whatever they want and if you don't pay. They'll call me and my buddies to come arrest you for Food Service Theft. Getting picture now? Disgustingly bad. RUN AWAY! Our table was sticky and covered in goo. I asked them to please clean it before we sat down. The hostess was clearly pissed about doing that. Our server showed up about 10 minutes later to get our drink orders. He got them all wrong and then ARGUED with my husband about them. The salad bar was a wreck. The onions on it smelled fermented and killed my entire salad. Told the attendant that there is as much crap in the dressings as on the salad bar. She wasn't interested... Took 20 more minutes to get our food. My salmon was cold in the middle. Not medium-well like I had ordered. I sent it back immediately. 15 more minutes and my side of broccoli came back 1/2 missing. My daughter's plate was hot but her food was cold...???... Husband's pasta was cold but the chicken was warm... My twin grandsons ordered mac n cheese and corn dogs. When the Stones sang "Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday" they must have had a night like tonight on their minds. To begin with, we ordered our drinks and they were wrong. Not a deal breaker....yet. Then we're told that the kitchen is out of ribs and anything chicken--items we were planning to order. Would have been nice to hear this before we were even seated, or at least before we ordered drinks. Our waitress spent more time telling us about her vacation and the awesome baked potato she once ate instead of tending to us--the customers. Food took an abnormally long time to arrive at the table and 3 of the 4 meals thoroughly missed the mark. One dish was so cold that none was eaten and we just got a to go container. She then had the balls to ask if we wanted dessert. Um, no. I didn't have another 90 minutes and was fearful she was going to show me photos of that amazing baked potato she had a deep meaningful relationship with. When we told her about the meal issues she asked if we wanted a manager. Funny though because earlier she said everyone was slacking tonight because the manager wasn't there. Whatevs! I've honestly loved this Ruby Tuesday ever since it was built but this location really needs an upgrade and to get better about making sure the tables and carpet are CLEAN and making the atmosphere more comfortable. The food and service is usually good, nothing 5-star or anything, but I really don't want to go here anymore because of the shoddy atmosphere. Let's just say that they had a wonderful variety of food to choose from. Our waiter on the other hand was very slow and forgetful. I can count on my fingers and use all 10 how many times we had to ask him to get things and repeat ourselves because he forgot. The food was delicious on our way to Jameson would be my only complaint. I haven't been there for a while and I believe it will be quite a while before I visit again. My husband and I enjoy Ruby Tuesday's. Since My surgery ( amputation ) I am wheel chair bound until my prosthetic and I can connect :D The food is good, the service is great. I have found all them to be quite helpful and understanding re: my seating. We have quite a few places due to the wheelchair we can no longer go to. Ruby Tuesdays is handicap accessible. The aisles are wide enough i can get through even if someone is standing in the aisle. if they don't back up I am still able to get through. The restroom is large, The handicap stall is large. I have found that the doors leading into the restrooms, are very heavy, Someone who has weakend arms would find it quite difficult to open the door to get in. I found getting out was much easier. That is the only complaint I have and this complaint is the same with most restaurants. We will continue to go to Ruby Tuesdays when we are out. I appreciate their friendliness and taking care of me when I request help. Continue with the good food, great service and friendly atmosphere HAPPY COOKING If your in Spring Hill or Brooksville Florida are on 50/ Cortez Blvd, stop in and ask for Lane.
