All these years later, this is still the best Thai restaurant I've been to in CA. I moved away from Lincoln, but still eat here every chance I get.

I found this place on a whim and decided to take hubby here for a lunch date because I was craving Thai food. I looked at their menu. They had a good selection and they had great reviews here. We walked in during lunch hours, we seated right away, We got water and menus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was really nice and well put together and very super peaceful music in the background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the wonton soup, shrimp, and vegetable tempura and chicken pad see ew. Everything came out in a timely manner and everything was hot and delicious portions were great. Everything was very hardy. The service were very attentive water glasses were always full and dirty dishes was always cleared and they were always attentive to see if we needed anything. We will definitely be back here again to try other things off the menu because it looks so delicious.

Omg this place is amazing !! If I could give it 10 stars I would ! This is a small family owned Thai restaurant in lincoln CA. It's a husband and wife that owned restaurant they take an hour break everyday from 3-4 pm right before the dinner rush . You could tell they take pride in their food and their establishment. Walking in everything is very clean and organized. They have excellent service . They are very friendly and attentive. For food, I love everything on the menu. If you come you have to try the pineapple rice It's delicious. Everything just taste so fresh. I have a shellfish allergy and they always help me with my order so that I do not get an allergic reaction. I barely go to any place that serves oyster sauce, but I will definitely come here because they take care of me. They make sure that there is no shellfish on my plate and I really appreciate that. Overall, I highly recommend this Thai restaurant. It's very delicious. You will get top-notch service. You will not regret coming here. I can't wait to go back.

Hurray for $10.95 Weekday Lunch Specials from 11 AM to 3 PM! Salad, entree, white rice, and dessert. Not the largest quantity of food, but I think it is a health-conscious portion. I was told that the To Go menu prices would be going up soon. Salad was lettuce and shredded carrot with a sweet peanut-based dressing. Green Curry Beef was my entree. It had a good amount of beef and a variety of vegetables: green beans, eggplant, bamboo shoots, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper. I liked the plating. For $1, you can upgrade to brown rice, which appears to be a multigrain mix in another reviewer's photo. Shrimp costs an extra $2. Dessert was a small scoop of colorful Thai Tapioca, which is green tapioca, coconut milk, and corn. I like getting free Asian desserts with a meal. Thai Tapioca is available on the dessert menu on weekdays primarily. These are dishes I'd be interested in trying in the future: - Red Curry - Boat Noodle Soup - Silver Glass Noodle Soup - Silver Noodle Salad - Pad Eggplant (Pad Ma Keur) - Thai Basil (Pad Kra Pao) - Sweet and Sour (Pad Priew Warn) - Pad Woon Sen (stir-fried silver noodles, eggs, veggies, and protein choice) Warm and inviting restaurant with beautiful gold and red paintings of Thai dancers. My boyfriend and I usually go to Orchid Thai over on Twelve Bridges but we decided we wanted to try a new place. To be honest, I like this place even more. The servers were great and friendly. Food came really fast too. We had the pot stickers, chicken satay, beef and chicken pad Thai, and Thai fried rice with chicken. Everything was so delicious and the portions were pretty big. We left very full. Personally I wanted to try some of their desserts but we were both so full. We will have to try them next time. The ambiance was nice and very relaxed. Perfect setting for a date, or a nice dinner with the family/friends. I cannot wait to come back.

It is located in the Raley's shopping plaza. We came here for lunch and the restaurant was mostly empty. The service was pretty fast. We started with the chicken larb salad. It was refreshing, but I'm used to it usually being spicy. We also ordered the pad woon sen (noodles) for the kids. I didn't try it, but it had more vegetables than noodles in it. Lastly, we had the basil fried rice with pork. It was good overall, but could've used more flavor. We left full.

The ever so delightful eggplant stir fry with jumbo shrimp in "Grandmother's sauce". AMAZING!

We love Thai food and haven't had any in a long time so when we found this place in a strip mall we thought "oh well let's give it a try". The food was fresh and very tasty. I have tried a few Thai restaurants in the area and this is my favorite for the service and freshness of their food. The service is always quick. The staff has gone out of their way to please. My son, a super picky eater wasn't interested in anything on the menu. The nice waitress went out of her way to try to accommodate him. Needless to say, they are kid friendly. The food is always fresh. The portions are hearty. The first time ordering they used fish sauce. Since then I just ask for no fish sauce and I am more than happy with the flavor. Last time ordering we got drunken noodles and Thai basil, both were super fresh and delicious! this place is everything! The customer service was amazing and I love how honest the people are. It was my first time trying this place yesterday, I asked the girl if the Thai tea was good and she said yes and I'm here wondering okay let me give it a try. Best Thai tea I've tried in the Sac area. I love spicy so when I got my order of basil fried rice I asked for level 3 and then put more chili right on top. BOMBBBBB! This place offers the best Thai food my family and I have ever had! Everything we've tried on the menu has been delicious. All of the food is incredibly flavorful and always hot. The servers are well-versed in knowing what/how things on the menu can be made gluten free. I never have to worry about it here. The service is wonderful and the staff is attentive and kind. We could eat here every night of the week and never be tired of it. If you're looking for delicious, flavorful Thai food this is the place to be! read more

A gem tucked in Lincoln. Found that there was a Thai restaurant in the area and I had to try it. Place is nice and quiet. I can around lunch and it was not crowded at all. I liked the fact that it was very clean and tidy. Quickly after being seated and given a drink I was also serviced with a complimentary salad. I judge a Thai restaurant menu by its two items larb and pad ka pao. (Thai basil stir fry) . I had the basil stir fry this time. I was caught off guard when they asked how I wanted the meat prepared. Because there are different ways to make it. It came out delicious, however the vegetables were a slight bit on the hardy side. After my lunch meal I was served Another complementary dish. A Thai dessert called "nam wan". A warm tapioca dish with coconut dressing. Overall a great experience and I recommend folks around the area to try this place. read more

Such a nice restaurant! I'm a vegan so Thai is always my go to when I travel this place had a lot of great reviews so naturally I followed all the signs that led me to this lil quant Thai palace. The staff is extremely accommodating- I got a coconut soup with no meat and pad Thai (that doesn't have fish sauce) & it was delicious. Family owned spot so it makes sense why everything tasted so great! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an impressive & filling Thai meal. YUM!! read more

I don't know why I haven't been here sooner as I love Thai food. I've been feeling a bit under the weather and a friend of mine told me to try the soup here. I went in and asked what they suggest for a cold. I can't remember what it was but it was delicious. It had the perfect amount of heat. I'm not a fan of fresh tomatoes in soup, but this was really good. I also ordered the satay which was perfect as well. I will definitely be back to try more dishes. read more

My family's regular spot! They always give great service, and excellent portions. I always go for the pad se ew, and my dad loves their fresh rolls! This place is really good for large parties too, since I had my birthday their a while ago. They're also really good about COVID precautions, which is really reassuring. They're closed for lunch which is a bummer, but they're not offering indoor seating yet either so it's not too bad. Overall great experience every time! read more

Wife and I tried it for the first time this week. Talk about a little hole in the wall this is it. It's small and a little dark but not unwelcoming at all. Our server, I didn't get his name was polite and gracious. We stopped in for lunch not knowing what to expect and were delightfully surprised. Started out with a small (very small) salad that just popped with crispness and a unique dressing, a little peanut taste but not overwhelming, small but perfect. We ordered Pot Stickers and was surprised when they arrived. We are used to the fried type of PS's and these were "Steamed" and doughy. It turned out though they were doughy they were very lite with a great filling and yummy taste. We were glad we tried them. Wife had the Pad Thai w/chicken and I had the Drunken Noodles w/beef. Both were very good and if I had any complaint it was that there wasn't a lot of beef in my dish, neither dish left us with any lingering aftertaste. I decided on the Drunken Noodles because of what I read before on line but my wife's Pad Thai was a cut above while my DN's were just very good. All in all a good relaxing lunch. Looking forward to our next visit. read more

Step inside and you find a cute little family owned restaurant that will make you wonder "where did I just get transported to?"... A few tables in the front room and a second dining area to the right. It is important to note that you MUST be patient! There is only the owner running the front of house here. She is doing everything. Super friendly, and being as quick as she can to get tables cleared, people seated, orders taken and served. She does all of this with the most wonderful smile and personality. You will immediately fall in love with her. Many of the diners on this particular night already knew her and appeared to have long standing relationships with the family. We came in on a Saturday evening around 5:15pm and the floor was packed. It remained that way until around 6:30pm. I would suggest coming in later in the evening so the 'regulars' can get in and out. Ok, so now on to the food and why the Green Elephant is such a standout. Everything is super fresh, and flavorful with great depth in the sauces. We started with the tea leaf salad, and pork lumpia. Then Panang chicken and spicy garlic pepper pork and an order of rice. We love spicy food, and requested such (she has a spice scale of 1-10). Our mains were a level 7 and that was sufficient to give us good heat without compromising the flavors. She will also bring you a small dish of chili pepper oil if you want even more heat. By the time we were finished, the floor had cleared, so we know now to arrive a little later. But, return we will !!!

Nickelodeon cartoons were on a TV in the corner. A really nice touch is that they have complimentary coloring books, crayon boxes, & stickers for kids. We noted that customers bus their own tables. Since our initial visit, they updated their menu to have chicken items. Also, some of their former specialty burritos were no longer displayed, but are part of their "secret menu". Our burrito order included Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Chicken Bacon Ranch, & Margherita (from the secret menu) with added chicken. We also got a Kids Pepperoni Burrito Meal & were able to substitute a bottle of apple juice for the fountain drink. The food orders came out slightly staggered when ready, served piping hot on metal trays. We got Ranch & Marinara side saices, which were served cold. Everything was satisfyingly delicious! They're quite aware that for the kids meal, the gelato will be requested at the end, so you just approach the counter afterwards & they remember. While a fresh bowl of ramen in the restaurant is always the best experience, their take-out options are packed well and reheat nicely. I'll often warm up ramen the day after I pick it up and it's such a nice treat to have at home. The Lincoln location has plenty of parking and once you're inside you head up to the kiosks to order for dine in or carry out. Definitely take a look through the menu, they have a variety of ramen options, including soupless ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers. They also have a variety of drinks, and I noticed on my recent visit that this Lincoln location has alcoholic options. My favorite order is their spicy tonkatsu ramen- the broth is so rich, there's a perfect amount of spice, and it hits every mark for me. Honestly, I didn't truly appreciate good ramen until I tried Umami Ramen and now this is the standard that I judge all other ramens by. We also typically order their karaage chicken and I pick up and onigiri or two (the tuna is my favorite). Everything on the menu is great though and I'd recommend trying anything that sounds yummy at the moment. There is plenty of seating and I love that the restaurant is decorated with plenty of fun posters, art, and even figurines to look at. They also have a shopping area for Japanese snacks, toys, drinks, desserts and a claw machine. A pro tip is to check out their specials- when I visited they had a $25 special for a small appetizer, ramen, and drink. It was a great deal! They also have the option to adjust your ramen by leaving off certain items or ordering extras- I usually get extra bamboo shoots for $2 (it's a generous portion of them) and their eggs are AMAZING- if you're a fan it's definitely worth ordering an extra. The staff here is also so kind, if you're having trouble deciding they're happy to help and can ring you up if your prefer ordering with them. They also always make sure I have water when I dine in and pack my to-go orders with such care. I highly recommend both of Umami Ramen's locations and hope they open a third closer to me so I can go all the time. For now, I'm happy to travel though!

Bonus: They're currently offering FREE gyoza with every ramen order! If you're looking for a hearty, flavorful bowl of ramen, check them out. My wife and I have gone to this place several times and we have never been disappointed. The restaurant is clean and inviting and the service is good. The food is excellent and a favorite of mine is the drunken noodle with shrimp. Beware that if you don't want spicy food, you must tell them not spicy because the spice level is a little high ... but the food is oh so good so no complaints from me. We were also given Korean glass noodles, on the house to taste test. Everything was delicious! Generous portions as well as reasonably priced. I love the creamy sesame salad dressing . The tempura was light and not greasy at all. I liked that they served the teriyaki sauce separately so you can control how much sauce is on the chicken based on your preference. Our rolls were served with a little spicy mayo and I believe eel sauce on the side of the plate ( nice touch! Our drinks were brought to us quickly as well. Our food also came out quickly. We ordered Pepper Fin t share and then I got a 49er roll and my husband got a double spicy roll. We both really liked the pepper fin. We also enjoyed our rolls. My only critique is that the rolls were rolled very loosely. The pieces feel apart as soon as they were separated. I would definitely come back. There is a beautiful mural along the back wall that really is a nice piece of the restaurant. It's small, but so delicious!

Overall very user friendly. We ordered a variery of items that actually satisfied for two meals in quantity. We got spring rolls, fried tofu nuggets, vegetable fried rice, pork yaki udon (primarily for the noodles), General Tso's chicken (from the Chinese menu) and Ebi Okonomi Yaki. Note that this restaurant does carry mainly Japanese items but also has some Chinese too. The order was ready on time and perfectly packaged for transporting it and keeping it piping hot too. It was impressive as the steam just emitted from the packaging as it was opened. Everything was quite good and I must say we both enjoyed the General Tso's Chicken the best. The texture profile, flavors and sauce were spot on perfect. It came with white rice. Both the spring rolls and the tofu nuggets were tasty anr wonderful as small bites. The udon noodles were very good and the Ebi Okonomi Yaki tasted better the next day, not that it was bad the first. The flavors just melted better. Service was cordial and I would definitely go here again, either to eat in or get takeout.

The four of us ordered: Pra Ram with chicken, Pad See Ew with chicken, Yellow curry with chicken, and Red curry with chicken. Dishes were flavorful (but not as flavorful as my favorite bay area Thai restaurant). Portions were good. Food was served quickly. Nice to have Asian food options in Auburn!
