It's a really spicy burger but it's enjoyable! The patty was so juicy and cooked perfectly! We also ordered Italian fries, they had grate flavor but the bottom of the plate had a lot of oil still. One of the best stops on our road trip from Memphis to CA. This is a great stop.. "on the Green" is a group of food joints, bar and a brewery. They allow you to bring food from Rustic into the brew house to enjoy a beer while you feast on an amazingly delicious burger. Service was excellent and we will stop here again!! YUMMMMMM!!!! This place is located inside the Green Jeans Farmery (which reminds me, I need to yelp about the farmery as a whole, it's so cute with plenty of spaces to sit and eat). When I ordered my food, I was asked for my number so that they could text me when my order was ready. My only suggestion for the text: I wish there was a way to not show me all all of the numbers of the other patrons :-) It was sent as a group text. So if you are concerned about your number in a group text, just give them your name and stay close by. Otherwise, the text was convenient as I was exploring the farmery and looking around. I ordered the Divine Intervention Burger, and it was DIVINE!! It has blue cheese, caramelized onions all on a nice thick meat patty. Deeeelicious!! Really the best burger around. I got it with the regular fries which are shoestring style. The only thing that I wished for was a fork and knife to eat this burger with. It can be petty messy. But SOOOOOO worth every finger-licking bite. I ordered a coke to wash it all down with. Great burger and you even have dessert right next door. Great food, great location --- I heart this place. My first review on Yelp happened about 4 years ago when I stumbled across the best cheeseburger I'd ever had - in Stockholm. I confidently and without caveat declared it the best burger I'd ever had. Period and end paragraph. That burger has met it match in The Sacred from Rustic on the Green. Good gosh, New Mexico takes the title back for best bigger of my life with juicy beef patties, all American cheese, and list worthy hatch chiles soaked through in beefy juice goodness. The server brought a tray of burgers to my table, but he served me my entire life. The fries were just ok. Similar to McDonalds for reference. The seating in the "alley" (seating area between two different eateries) is awkward. I feel like I'm sharing my meal with everyone sitting here. Hello goodness. Hubby and I wanted burgers to go with our beers and this place answered our call. We both went with the sacred (green Chile and cheese). The burgers were juicy and made to order. Unlike other places the green Chile here was hot and had amazing flavor (no canned Chile here!). We tried both regular and sweet potato fries and both rocked. I don't know what kind of salt they used but it put them over the top. Since it is fresh made to order the wait is a little long but well worth the wait. Patience is a virtue people. read more

This place has the best green chile cheeseburger in Albuquerque. There's something about the hamburger patty that is so unique, I can't place my finger on it. The taste is incredible, and when mixed with the brioche bun, it's even better. My favorite burger is the sacred. I've never ventured outside of this burger, but I'm sure the rest of the menu is phenomenal. The only part that I dislike is the fake that you have to order the fries separately from the burger, so you end up paying around $15 for a burger and fries which is a bit steep. But also with Green Jeans, you have to keep in mind that you are also paying for the atmosphere. I'm sad that their spin off restaurant in Nob Hill didn't stay open very long. It was much closer to me than Green Jeans. Will definitely be coming by now that the weather is nice! read more

I don't get it?! My burger was very, very salty. To the point I had to drink water for the rest of the day to get the gross taste out of my mouth. And I love salt! On top of that the patty was thin - maybe the thickness of a 1/4 lbs. I got a pretty plain burger, so maybe others like it if it is covered with chili and you can't taste the actual burger. This burger place is in the GREEN JEANS FARMERY on the first floor. We ordered the day of the dead burger and hatch green Chile burger. The day of the dead burger is so good and it really is spicy. The burger is done medium well on warm soft buns that are lightly toasted. There's lettuce onion and tomatoes and their spicy spread on cheddar cheese. Even if you aren't a fan of spreads this spread is so worth the try because it brings all flavors in together. However, if you don't like spicy this burger is definitely not for you!! The beef is so soft and juicy you get a drip of the burger in every bite. Chile pepper burger is on the same buns and add ins. This burger has chopped green peppers spread you can see some seeds cho. You get a bit of peppers in every bite so you always get a mild kick of spicy flavor. The FRIES are cooked in sunflower oil and they are crispy but soft on the inside. They're simple but really delicious just classIc crispy fries. Definitely worth a try if you are from out of town. You can purchase your burgers and take it over the the Santa Fe Brewing Company ABQ taproom. So you can enjoy your burgers and have some beer. Because I was craving a good burger and wanted to try a new restaurant, I had decided to go to Green Jeans Farmery with a couple of my friends. Rustic is located right next to a pizza joint. I wasn't sure what I wanted to get as there were a few options. However, I was recommended by the person who just ordered her burger to get the "Rustic" burger, which was about $8. It came with cheese and calamarized onion! The burger was juice and cooked to the temperature that I liked, which was medium for burger patties. The fries were extra but also worth in. In my opinion.. best burger I've had in Albuquerque. Maybe tied with another notable ABQ burger for first. Excellent, fast service is a constant for the several times I've been. The sweet potato fries are very very good. I've only ever gotten the Rustic and it is just so good. Fresh veggies and a juicy party. Almost too juicy (just kidding that's not even possible.) I also tried the green chile and it was spicy and delicious. Highly recommend this not so hidden gem! Great green chile burger! In a town full of great chile burgers, this is my favorite. Flavorful hand-formed patty, with just the right amount of heat. Perfect bun...firm enough to keep everything in place, but soft enough to easily bite. Plus my favorite kind of skinny fries. A plus for having a limited menu of burgers all done well. A few other plusses. In a collection of other great looking food places in case your dining companions would like something else like tacos. Santa Fe brewing next door for a beer. And just off the interstate so very convenient when passing through ABQ. Only concern is that this place does not look like it can handle a crowd. I'll take another order of the rustic burger with sweet potato fries, please!! What's there to say, place is located in probably one of the best towns in spot. Located right at the green jeans area. They have 3 different burgers you can chose from along with a black bean burger. I always order the sweet potato fries which are always very good. Burgers can sometimes be to salty but the flavors are really good. What I like best about rustic is that they never rush your food and you know that they take their time to make your experience enjoyable. The older lady is always so friendly, I believe she is the owner of rustic. Definitely a must try if you are in the area. read more

Randomly closed almost every time we try to go, extremely inconsistent service, workers seem confused/ possibly drunk?

Had the green chile burger and sweet potato fries. It's hard not to make a burger mushy when adding green chile. The bread is good, fluffy and sweet and the fries are different. The fries are soft almost like mash potatoes on the inside and crispy on the outside. Sounds weird but I would come back for the fries. I might try a plain burger next time. Sometimes less is more. What I really appreciate is that I can finish the burger and the fries without feeling yucky afterwards. The servers are friendly and attentive unlike the other restaurants at the food court. If you are looking for something different, try Rustic on the Green. Btw, my friend didn't like the bread she thought it was too thick and dense. Can't say this is a must try burger joint but if you are in Albuquerque, this is a local business you'll want to support because they are local and they use quality ingredients. read more
