I had to give this restaurant a 5 star because it met all my expectations , for me, of a great meal and a great dining experience. The service was top notch thanks to Kohl' and Julio. This was my daughter's birthday so I called ahead of time for my reservation . We were given a booth with a special menu with my daughter's name printed on the menu ! This personal touch was above and beyond , we ordered the prix fixe meal salad, entree and dessert for $60....quite a bargain for this type of steakhouse. My daughter and upgraded to the 16 oz ribeye and my wife has the Chilean sea bass. The salad was huge and so were the fish and ribeyes. The prix fixe entrees come with a side so we opted for garlic mash potatoes and Brussels sprouts. For dessert my daughter receive a chocolate cheesecake and I had the classic cheesecake . Overall, we were stuffed, but more importantly my daughter has a memorable dining experience . What a great choice this was for a "special " day.

This expierence was not above and beyond (not expecting that, BTW) but it was excellent service for for this caliber restaurant. They have plenty of free parking. The venue is well kept, decor is beautiful and very clean. If this is for date night or even a meeting, you will be very pleased. We had the Ruth's 3 Course for $60. It's a limited-time seasonal prix fixe dining promotion featuring a starter, entrée, personal side, and dessert. It's a good portion of food, and in my opinion, worth the money. Very delicious, well seasoned and beautifully presented. We had fresh made, warm bread with butter, a Caesar Salad (yum yum), I could have ended with that but that was just the starter! The entree I chose was a 6 oz Filet with 3 Jumbo Shrimps. That Steaks served on a 500-degree sizzling plate is no joke! The side was Garlic Mashed Potatoes, all of which were exceptionally flavorful. For dessert Classic Cheesecake with fresh berries. It wasn't overly sweet, very well prepared. The only "mehh" I had was the Creamed Spinach. It was just a little too watery or liquidy, not enough creamy. As always, I end with "Will I return?" and yup, quicker than you can say, "For us, it's always been about the sizzle".

We enjoyed happy hour along with a large crowd that also knows the secret spot for an afternoon treat. We enjoyed steak sandwiches that were delicious along with our wine We sat in the bar and had great service. Festive crowd so arrive early to get in.

We had a delicious dinner last night at Ruth's Chris Steak House. Service and food are top notch. Easy self parking or complimentary valet if you prefer. It's a beautiful restaurant with a quiet to moderate noise level. Men's restroom could use a "refresh", but other than that have no complaints. We eat here a few times a year and always enjoy it.

Given that I have not been to a Ruth's Chris Steak House in ages, I stumbled across this location while staying close by for a business trip and it didn't disappoint. On top I went during happy hour and the food and drinks were reasonably priced, IMHO.

Outstanding steaks as always. Enjoyed the Ruth's Classics which are a fixed prix menu of soup or salad, steak with shrimp and a dessert. I enjoyed an upgraded 16.oz ribeye, so tender, flavorful and buttery! Loved the Caesar salad and the garl8x mashed. Cheesecake was good not great. After being seated in a more private location, the service was fantastic. Mostly quiet except that we were on a path that many of the servers traversed. Didn't know they have a happy hour with items not on the regular menu.

I enjoy going to Ruth Chris Happy Hour. So when visiting, Palm Desert we went to the happy hour. We sat at the bar for happy hours and the service was awesome! Food was great too! The drinks were strong too.

We have been coming here for past 13 years on Valentines and does not disappoint. We have a simple meal as it is our favorite. We ordered the 11 oz. Filet and au gratin potatoes. Comes with hot sliced bread and real butter. We also bring a bottle of our favorite wine. Last night however was extraordinary. Our server Kohl and assistant Jorden did an outstanding job. Very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to next year.

Only had to wait 5 minutes on a holiday Sunday. We started our meal with the winter special scallops which were delicious and buttery. Then we ate a 6oz filet that they split for us (medium rare actually came out medium rare!! So nice!!) Our server Amber was so hospitable! She made great recommendations and checked on us so many times which made us feel so special. Thank you so much Amber!! The gm also came by and gave my son a cool cow. Thanks Darrell

We came in for Mother's Day and had a spectacular time. OMAR 12/10. Extremely attentive and had suggestions for us for wine and all 3 courses. Cannot wait to come back and hopefully get him as our waiter again.

A very average meal tonight at Ruth Chris. We ordered 2 filet and lobster meals and a 16 ribeye. Every steak was undercooked. Even the lobsters were slightly undercooked. Our lava cakes for dessert were also underwhelming. Not very much "lava" and definitely not enough ice cream. Service was fine but didn't make up for the poorly prepared entrees.

    Beautiful Dining Room recently renovated.

Well, TEAM DARRELL WOODS have outdone themselves AGAIN! I made the right decision to choose Ruth's Chris Palm Desert for Thanksgiving Evening. They had a special menu of Turkey, Stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberries et. al. It was DELICIOUS!! The Chef deserves major praise for producing a Turkey Day Dinner that was BETTER than my dear ol' Mother used to make. The service by Yasmine was amazing-- as always// she is such a gem of a person who is always providing peerless service-- with a stellar attitude. The manager Priscilla is always so kind and attentive-- with a positive attitude and affable demeanor. Host Heidi is an exemplary of customer service and welcoming hospitality. It was such a special experience spending Thanksgiving with Darrell's A team-- a perfect 10 !!

Ruth's Chris is one of a kind. The food, the atmosphere, the service are all first rate. From Peter Lugar's in Brooklyn, to the original Morton's in Chicago, I'll put Ruth's up against all comers. But admittedly, I still have a warm place in my heart for Gene & Georgetti's. LOL We stopped here for HH, not expecting a crowd. It was past Snow Bird season, but whoa were we wrong. The place was packed We grabbed the last two seats in the bar area. Wow Now over the years, I've found that bartenders are usually a wealth of information... about the area ... the Menu ... the folks who come in. Ours was a chatterbox and very friendly. A fun way to ease into a weekend, a HH at Ruth's

Wine bar doesn't open till 5 which was when happy hour started. For the first hour, they had wine, well drinks and draft beer. A few small plates also offered. It's a wine and tapas bar. It's along El Paseo before you hit the main shopping area, depending on which way you come. Entrance has a nice wall created by ficus trees and mister spraying to keep you cool. There's a decent patio with a good amount of seating. Inside is where the party is. The place is set with two seating area. Right when you walk in is the bar. There's the other room seating area which houses all the wine on shelves. I believe it's also a wine store but that sectioned was closed for a private event. We just wanted a drink before dinner so no food was had. From the looks of the dishes that were coming out, they looked really nice. Tapas style dishes made for sharing. With happy hour, there was a couple dishes that was included. Also they offered a deal with a charcuterie board and a bottle included. We just went with a glass of their house red and white. And an order of spicy margaritas. It's a full bar so that was nice. Margaritas were great and house wine was decent. The service was great with the bartender who was a doll and very sweet. Made drinks and still had time to come check out on people. It was still early but it did pick up for happy hour which is from 5-6 right when they open. The place was quite nice and well decorated. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet our expectations. The French toast we ordered was not impressive, and to add to our frustration, they were out of another dish we wanted. Additionally, they ran out of toppings to complete the meal. We ultimately settled for a simple breakfast of eggs, potatoes, and bacon, which included fruit; however, some of the food appeared spoiled. To compensate, we were told we could choose two free pastries--something it seemed like they offered regularly since another guest also received free pastries. Even so, this was not enough to make up for the overall poor experience. The service declined further towards the end of our meal. After we had finished brunch, we were asked questions that seemed out of place. The establishment feels more like a café than a full-service kitchen, as evidenced by their inability to prepare eggs cooked over medium, insisting only scrambled eggs were possible. I have rarely encountered a restaurant unable or unwilling to meet such a basic request. Given this experience, I do not plan to return. I hope you take this feedback seriously to improve service and food quality going forward.

DRINKS AND APPETIZER ONLY!…read more We were visiting family down the street, so we popped in for a drink. The look and the feel of the Grapefruit Basil restaurant did not feel like other Tommy Bhammas. It did not have that vibe. Plus, the drink menu is not the same as Tommy Bahammas as well- while reviewing the menu I noticed a couple of similar drinks such as the grapefruit basil, so I decided to order a familiar drink. Unfortunately, this drink was not as good as the one that I had the night before-- I could not taste the alcohol, it just tasked like grapefruit- I was sad, as this is like my go to drink. To compliment out drinks, we had the salsa guac appetizer that we are very familiar with from the Tommy Bhamma restaurant. The appetizer was good, and like I remember from their restaurants. So how was the atmosphere-- we just popped down at the bar. The bar felt like we were at a hospital. Very white and blah. If it was a cooler night, the outdoor space might have been nicer. They do have a bar and seating outside. As it was still in the 100s, we did not have that option. The bar was a bit distasteful with off conversations- we don't mind a party vibe, but the vibe was not that kind of environment. Lastly, this restaurant/bar does not use the tommy Bahamas membership program so you cannot accumulate points or use your credits. Would we come again- well, Tommy Bahammas it's not too far away, I think we would head there instead or another bar.
