We first visited RV Country, Mt. Vernon, WA. a year or so ago with a small problem that another major brand RV business couldn't solve. Kodey, the Service Advisor, and Joe the Service Manager made us feel like special customers and solved our problem in a very quick and cost effective manner. We have returned to RV country many times since then. We always come away feeling like we have received special attention and the very best service. We recently had an issue with a hydraulic system while traveling. One phone call and they gave us the information we needed to continue our trip. RV Country, Mt. VERY high pressure dealership. If the first sales person doesn't get you to commit to a deal in the first 10 minutes, they pawn you off to another. We knew what we wanted, had been looking for a very specific layout of a used RV, and this was the only one we could find in the state. Right off the bat, the first sales person told us they had taken it in on trade, sight unseen, and had overpaid for it. The whole deal took over 5 hours, they used all the slimy sales person tricks in the book when negotiating a price, then had the gall to tell me that I was too distracted by my children to have understood what was discussed. They do not return phone calls, are completely disorganized, and unwilling to accept any responsibility. I have bought and sold many vehicles at many dealerships and never have I had an experience this awful. read more

Horrible experience with RV country. I would give it half a star if i had the option. We spent hours picking an RV we liked. Finalized all the details. Submitted our paper work. When we saw the RV the miles on it did not match the purchase order. They were 2000 miles more. Also the sales guy Erik returns our call 2 days before we were supposed to pick up the RV and says the financing didn't go through for some absurd reason. He refused to submit the correct paperwork to the financial institutions after submitting incomplete paperwork to begin with. Our credit score got hard hits and since the paperwork was not all submitted the credit score dropped for no reason. When we offered to make a cash purchase he tried to force warranties on us that we were not interested in purchasing. He was extremely rude. Hung up the call on us and made it impossible to make a purchase. Very bitter experience with RV Country and their rude staff. Stay clear!!! There are much better dealerships out their who are friendly and willing to work with customers to make a sale. Its not just about the purchase but its a relationship that you build with your customers. read more

I changed my review. When I bought my travel trailer initially, I asked the sales people if there was any way they could go a little lower on price. They insisted that there was not anything they could do. I double checked online for the price and they had my RV listed for 2k lower online. They honored the online price but insisted they knew nothing about it. Warranty work took months and months to complete. After they stated it was done, I checked the specific issue and nothing was even done. They took it back and fixed it half ass. Also my couch attached to my slide out was unattached to the slideout and all the hardware was on the counter. I fixed it my mself. They did offer to clean and detail my rv as an apology, and I appreciate the effort. Also I had two vents installed and over the phone they said 75 bucks a piece. With tax it should have been 165. 199? I'll never go back and I'm sure RV Country of Mt Vernon probably doesn't care. That hole buying experience sucked read more

We stopped in after checking out Paulsbo and we wanted to just be pointed in the right direction. So we were greeted by a great Marine Veteran and we were led on a very comfortable stroll around the yard at a leisurely pace. My Wife and I both were very pleased with his knowledge and skill as to not oversell us and was ok with us doing our version of fact finding for now. Took our Grand Design Imagine into the Service department to address a handful of minor items that can up after first season of use. Called to make the appointment in late June, and first available was August 21st. Trailer has now been there 5 weeks and I have yet to receive confirmation that the minor items will be covered by the $5400 extended warranty they sold me, or when it will be done. Most phone calls to the main number go to voicemail during normal business hours, and when it does get answered, you get transferred to Service only to receive their voicemail. One of the few times I have reached Service, I was told most of the items may not be covered because they are not broken. Top shower rail falling off during travel, that's not broken? Bathroom heat vent hose not ever connected to the duct, but that's not broken? Grand Designs are nice trailers, but STAY AWAY from RV Country, Mount Vernon, WA read more

Back in September, a friend and I were visiting Paul Evert's RV Country We had a wonderful interaction once we arrived with a gentleman named Michael who gave us a few tips and was more than happy to help. We went to explore a bit on our own, gathering ideas and appreciating the different things about everything from teardrop trailers to class A motorhomes. We were in the middle of exploring a fifth wheel when we came upon a man, named Edward, who stood at the door and watched us for a while without saying anything. Once I saw him, I was a bit startled and laughed to my friend, using an expletive, and said hello. He immediately asked that I remove my dog and keep her out of the RVs. He had stated that, "some salesmen do not care for dogs, though I don't really care." He then acknowledged that she was a service animal (by sight of her vest) and said he would not pet her because of that. Samantha (service animal, golden retriever) is clearly marked as a working dog by a vest and was in no way disturbing their business, was in a stay command off leash as she was trained to do, and was in no other way causing an issue with any vehicle we had entered by dirtying the vehicles or otherwise. Taking his request to leave, we obliged and as we walked away, he asked if there was anything he could sell us. We had stated that we were there looking for ideas for modifying my current travel trailer, and because I already have a little trailer, no. As we walked away towards the vehicle, he continued to follow and stare at us, ducking behind RVs until we reached the car, at which point he began speaking with another gentleman as we drove away. I immediately called the store to speak with a manager about my negative experience and to advise them that it felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Upon reaching a manager, I had offered that I had a comment and a concern regarding my experience. I praised his employee, Michael, for his service, but had a concern about being asked to leave due to my service animal. Before being able to complete my concern, the manager on the phone identified himself as the person who I had stated my complaint about, in an aggressive tone. I responded that I would like him to know that my K-9 is a service animal, who is provided legally protected equal access by federal law to be with me and allowed access as though she were medical equipment. His response? "You and your wife didn't look like you were having any issues getting up and down the RVs." At this point, I began experiencing an anxiety attack and responded using extremely colorful language about his ignorance as I explained that she is a service animal for a psychiatric disability (post-traumatic stress disorder among others) as the person on the phone began to laugh. I then proceeded to hang up and find information as to how I might contact the corporate office. The only resolution, as provided by Paul Evert's RV Country's manager Shawn Williams, was that he will "speak" to this person. The only resolution offered by Charlie (unknown last name), Director of Operations in their California office was that he will "speak" to this person and that I should be understanding and offer grace to Ed and that he hopes I will continue to be a customer in the future. Both Shawn and Charlie clearly advised me that no other action will be taken. In their response to the Washington State Human Right Commission inquiry, Edward Fittante, Sales Mgr., lied in the report, stating that, among other things, my service animal had been jumping on furniture and running around, that my friend and I had left after 10 or more minutes post-contact, that he had requested we stay in used models, and that I had threatened him with violence over the phone. This information was all incorrect, and I have a witness to attest to the truth and he does not. And while I do open carry my firearm, he had used this detail to express in the report that this is the reason his contact with me was "very nice" and to apparently illicit a response from the investigator. Personally, I find that this is unacceptable behavior. This company has a history of discrimination (see: MELONE v. PAUL EVERT'S RV COUNTRY, INC.) and it's quite unfortunate how they respond to any customer concerns. This is not a company you want to support if you care about equal rights, if you have a service animal or if you have a disability - visible or not. This is not to say that all of the salespersons are the same as Edward, but that I would much rather support a company with a history of going the extra mile for the customer as compared to discrimination. The best part: I wasn't necessarily in the market for another RV at the time, but I ended up purchasing again from another dealership simply because of the customer experience there.
